Tokamachi City in Niigata Prefecture announced on August 22 the result of the survey of radioactive materials in the soil in nursery schools and kindergartens in the city. 18,900 becquerels/kg of radioactive cesium was found in the sludge at the bottom of the container that collects rainwater at a public nursery school, and 27,000 becquerels/kg of radioactive cesium was found in the yard compost pile at a private kindergarten. WOW, Hate to say it but I seen this coming. Evacuation will eventually be 250mi in every direction. Stay, and you will have to deal with the ‘complications’. Yes, Tokyo will need to be evacuated and moved.

This is exactly what we will be faced with in the 50 mile exclusion zone from Indian point. I’m lucky enough to be in both Indian point’s and milstone’s 50 mile exclusion radius. Evacuation plans are about as legitimate as bwr containment. If ever I hear even a suggestion that one of those two sites is experiencing trouble, its kids and wife off to the mid west. Ask questions, and get lies, later.

I believe that the northern two thirds of Honshu may be unlivable before the reactors are stabilized with half of that area being a burn zone where surface vitrification may be necessary to reduce aerosolizing hot particles and to prevent further contaminating other areas. These materials sometimes do not even stay in the same state of matter and even vitrification will only reduce distribution. Vitrification is necessary to control some radionuclides because some decay chains have product sequences that can shift between solids and gas and even noble elements to reactive elements. An atom contained at the edge of a matrix could be chemically bound then switch to a noble gas and escape then later change back to solid. The number of instances were vitrification has been done to more than a barrel of material are probably quite limited. Surface vitrification of such a large area is going to take some technical development. Also, the vitrified mass is going to spall, especially for alpha emitters. Also, burnable debris will need to be removed before vitrification to reduce aerosolizing radionuclides in debris, vegetation, and surface animals.
Japan does not have a lot of easily habitable space. Moving that many people from the hot zones is going to be a large task. Also, those not in the hot zone may not want the contaminated people mingling with them. Cultural mores will need to be adapted.

Japan lowers Fukushima contamination estimate
Japan’s Nuclear Safety Commission has revised downward the estimated amount of radioactive substances released from the damaged Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant.
The commission now judges that 570-thousand terabecquerels of radioactive iodine 131 and cesium 137, about 10 percent less than its earlier estimate, leaked from the plant between March 12th and April 5th.
The commission put the total at 630-thousand terabecquerels in April.
The new figure was obtained by analyzing freshly released data on radiation levels measured at monitoring posts and amounts of radioactive materials in the air.
The commission also believes that leakage of radioactive substances peaked from 1 PM to 5 PM in the afternoon of March 15th when explosions occurred at reactors No. 2 and No. 4.
The timing is not much different than the commission’s initial estimate, but the new figures revise downward the amount of radioactive substances released during the period by 60 percent.
The Japan Atomic Energy Agency is expressing confidence in its new estimates, saying they are not largely different from earlier ones and are nearly consistent with changes in radiation measurements.

BTW – want to know how to not ever get hacked:
1. Download a disc copy of Ubuntu, burn it to a CD.
2. Find an old laptop or computer that is unused. Erase the entire hard drive.
3. Either load Ubuntu on the hard drive or just run it from CD.
4. Find a VPN connection, so the shills think you are posting from somewhere else.
5. If they do hack your hard drive – simply pull out your Ubuntu CD, and start over again. 5 minutes and I’m back running again – like new.

Gee Mungo – the EPA has identified CO2 as a major pollutant. That is where the effort is being concentrated. Like this they justify closing down coal fired electrical generating plants so that they can squeeze public opinion when energy costs soar. The screams from public outcry will then demand nuclear power ASAP.

You’re very right about the manipulation and leveraging method you mention. The “screams” for nuclear will be from the ingorant and dumbed down who don’t realize that ALL our current energy needs, definitely, can be covered by DISTRIBUTED (not monopolized), government sponsored and yes there’s the money–the billionaires thieve and hoard it and aren’t getting even slightly more poor–KNOWN energy solutions in their great and growing diversity. Wave power (killed by nuclear industry lobbying in UK in 1980′s), tidal power, CYLINDER wind (which can be personalized to homes in appropriate areas in the “micro” sense)including large scale (the egg-beater and blade wind is bad for birds and they matter more than our power needs), micro-hydro in appropriately wet climates, YES-solar improvements come through distributed innovations, and there are tremendous numbers of other methods that I’m just not realizing at this point. The future is NOT about monopolies or powerful corporate oligopolies.

Eventually I see those of us truly on the same page, working for gratis as we are now, in a more interdependent way. Someone will buy or donate some ‘space’, and we will become dosimeter experts, statisticians, health providers, counselors, safety screening, news directors,…. teachers,,…the list goes on and on! Indeed, there will be forces trying to stop us from healing the sick, (they created), and further getting out the word of where people CAN COME,….etc.
This IS going to be a wonderful time,….underneath the fear SHOULD be vast excitement. We were chosen for such a time as this.

The seventh chapter is the last of micah,… Verse 17–(talking prophetically about the last days) : “They shall lick the dust like a serpent, they shall move out of their holes like worms of the earth: they shall be afraid of THE LORD OUR GOD, and shall fear BECAUSE OF THEE.”
