It's the corium masses hitting the ground water, causing underground explosions ,
The 35 ton story was just an excuse for the truth, we here at enenews have known this all along but they keep spinning a different story, rather pathetic!

Doesn't seem possible that it could be the coriums (plural coria? Ha ha.)

If the cores are about 30m below ground (as has been estimated) and the earthquakes' epicenters are 30km below ground, that's three orders of magnitude difference. 30 meters vs 30,000 meters.

I can only imagine that even if the Coria are not at the same depth, their presence and energy could still influence an earthquake…there was mention awhile back of sub-terrenem hydro-volcanic erruptions when the coria hits the water…could this be what is happening and these events are being called earthquakes? Maybe the fuel has become liquified and is leaking down 30 kilometers?

I keep checking this site for updates on fukushima, what other sites are good to keep up with regarding it?

  • I think if it were the coriums/water causing the quakes they would be in the same place each time and under the plant !

    Report Comment

    • aSpadeisaSpade aSpadeisaSpade

The molten corium is not going to drop in a straight line perpendicular to the earth's surface. The fact that it is fluid means that it will flow along the path of least resistance, always downward, but as it encounters cracks and fissures, it will flow into them, and that could introduce a large horizontal component to its vector(s).

Actually, by now, it probably has many vectors, as there is no fundamental reason why it has to remain a single blob. As it encounters "forks" in underground pathways, it could very well divide and take both paths. The three corium masses from the three meltdowns could have done this splitting, and redirection many times by now.

These earthquakes are so far out of "normal" expected seismic activity, that it would be foolish to look for non-obvious causes, and ignore the most obvious one. I think that it is highly likely, and nearly indisputable, that the cores are causing these rapid-fire earthquakes.

      • aSpadeisaSpade,
I spoke of these things many many months ago, but it also is NOT going to travel miles or many miles form the plant in (any direction) in a year !

        Report Comment

      • SnorkY2K

That may be true if the coriums were in solid rock with cracks and if the rock had a low portion of bound water. However, in a sandy area or in rock with a high water content, hot metal tends to ball together and be shaped by the explosions around it while it erodes the sand into a bowl shape. The bowls expand through a process known as riving creating a continuously larger bowl until the metal cools below a couple times the boiling point. However, in this case the metal is self heating so the bowls may continue to expand until they merge. Should they merge, they would most likely generate heat much faster as well as compromise structural integrity of anything above them.

If the coriums go into cracks with water, expect the explosions to lift the radiodecaying material preventing or retarding the descent of the coriums. This could be good or bad.

      • It was also mentioned in Arnie's latest video that the fault has moved closer to Fukushima after Tohoku, and that the frequency of earthquakes in the Fukey location have massively increased over about the last year. (I second that, I've been watching them – more like earthquake swarms than single earthquakes).

You can see this very graphically with the USGS Google Maps earthquake overlay.

          PU239, SnorkY2K, and xdrfox,

Good comments all. I am not an engineer – nuclear or fluid mechanics – so I am speculating based on a general science background. The corium(s) may not be capable of traveling miles, but the super-heated steam created from them possibly could. And so could the shock waves from a steam explosion.

When things are uncannily coincidental, it usually means that there is a cause-effect relationship, or a relationship that the two events/objects have to a third event/object. I believe that the coincidence between the meltdowns and the hyper-earthquake activity is too uncanny to be merely an unrelated coincidence.

          • aSpadeisaSpade,
Yes I mentioned the steam this morning, the expansions and laxing could create movement and instability !
I think we are all on the same page, something is causing an increase and most probably something hot in the mix to do it !
Any article someone spots may bring light, off the grid something, are the hot springs acting funny ?

            Report Comment

          • Agree, the pressures of steam are well documented, it can split rock and cause anomalies miles away because of pressures !

Quakes increase with fracking and they only use pressure to crack rocks under grounds and earthquake increase everywhere fracking is done !

So steam used to power the industrial revolution can cause devastating results to Japan for miles around !
Even tidal waves on the west coast !!!!!!

So since it's ($$$$) falling on Investors and the Makers of these Death Machines shoulders, THEY DONT LIKE IT! Now you know how WE feel you fuckers!!
TRUTHFULLY I come away feeling OPTIMISTIC after listening to Arnie "this" time. At least for the FUTURE OF NPP.

This video predicting April 15th 2012 for a sizable earthquake was posted in Dec 2011 by the BarCaroller.
Not like he is infallible, but his methods are interesting and probably worth a look under the circumstances.

This is a Planetary Alignment Earthquake watch video, program used in this Heliocentric visual representation is Simsolarv2.0 and solar system scope.

Two very strong alignments involving (Sun-Earth-Saturn) and (Mars-Earth-Neptune) as well as significant astrological aspects involving the moon which may represent a possible 7.4 Magnitude earthquake on this day.

Lunar modulation indicates the the top of the Philippine plate region could be the area that receives this event. Best mapped location:
Bonin Islands or Izu Islands, Japan.

This is my own analysis using Heliocentric Imagery, geocentric portrait and harmonic translations to predict possible effects here on earth. i am using astrology in this forecast in-conjunction with lunar modulations."

I'll just try and make sure to leave a cool fossil for them to dig up in 100,000 years. Maybe I'll be trapped in a riverbed like the wooly mammoth. Of course, extracting the DNA OF THIS CIVILIZATION IS AS DANGEROUS AS Jurrasic Park.

I was adding a little levity. Man is inherently good and is propelled to build and be good. A few bad apples. I hope the civilization of the far future, adapted to higher background radiation, can find world peace in thier evolved state. Being a fossil is kind of a sad thought, but no matter what, it's the best we can achieve in the long run. There is NOW and NOT NOW.

    Hi Whoopie,
Join you in what? Asking for help? Voicing info, its not going to help. I honestly tried last nite, with family. I printed out 7 pages on what to do in case of radiation/contaimination, stock up, first aid stuff. Gave it to them, explained this site, and what is going on. First thing out of the mouth was, who wants to live forever. I looked at him and said, it is your grandchildren, my grandchildren, the laugh….I said your daughter will have kids and they will be harmed from the radiation. The apathy is not understandable. The fact that "who wants to live forever", crap just makes me sick. My family understands a little, however it's ok to keep it within our family, not tell others. I ask, do you have a plan in case something happens?, how will you contact eachother, nope no plan. This is the problem again, its someone else will take care of us. Its not fair, what do you do? The strong will survive attitude sucks big time, because we see it now with our government. There are a lot of commercials on air and tv, with regards to in case some thing happens are you prepared, so what is that about….no one cares, except us?
