Of course all this is par for the course and the story is several months old. Intersting that it only becomes an article of interest after the perpetuators of the malfeasance “shrug off” the findings and subsequent criticism.
It has become clear that this standard operarting procedure of manipulating public processes to shape public opinion is the least of the worrying tactics. As evidenced on this site everything from bold faced lies to outright misinformation, through to misleading and obfuscating details are employed in this disaster of all disasters. Meanwhile the nuclear renaissance rages on.

I think the Nuclear Energy Industry was salivating at the thought that all those new plants would be built to battle “global warming”. Fukushima just reminds people how Nuclear is anything but green. And now all the politicians and other paid cronies of nuclear feel obligated to continue lying. When people start dying of cancer and other illnesses those company officials, yakuza enforcers, reporters, mayors, Presidents, Prime ministers, experts, scientists and others involved in this crime will have left the scene. I don’t know how much longer these people can get away with lying to us. God Bless

IMO, nuclear (disasters specifically Fukushima) have done MORE damage to the efforts to counter global warming vs the previous & ongoing fossil fuel era. If the goal was to offset and reduce the deterioration of the ozone layer by shifting to uranium powered resources, if the hypothesis that the ozone melted 80% in days after Fukushima erupted is valid…. well, what the hell then is the benefit of using nuclear instead of ANY OTHER alternative power as an ozone protector?

@ Anthony. I had not heard the hypothesis that Fukushima melted the ozone layer. The pro nukes were promoting nuclear as an allegedy low carbon energy source to combat climate change, not to combat the ozone hole. The only significant link between ozone and climate change is that a few man-made pollutant gases in the atmosphere such as refrigerant CFCs and HCFCs are simultaneously both destructive to the ozone layer and good at trapping infrared rays, i.e. they are greenhouse gases too. But this particular double whammy is only a small part of the overall climate change problem, which is mostly due to carbon dioxide.
In summary: CO2 = biggest culprit for climate change disaster
CFCs = eat the ozone layer, a bit player in climate prob.
Nukes = disaster for everyone
Renewables = WAY TO GO!!!!!

He gets the last 100,000,000 words and he only has to speak it once. Even those smart nuke engineers who think they are doing the right thing. They obviously have made themselves oblivious to human nature, even those people will hear the same word, for allowing their own ego and arrogance to put the human species at risk, to mutate and alter and damage the DNA is a direct slap at the gift God gave us.

The thing is, this is called Corporatism! It’s at the heart of the world’s problems. It’s why kids are “Occupying Wall Street,” it’s why parents are joining the Tea Parties… no matter Left or Right, we are fighting the same ENEMY!!!
In the US, Corporations are legally considered individuals, but yet they are NOT held accountable like individuals. It’s obvious that this is not just a US problem. TEPCO and the politicians that assisted them over the years need to be brought to justice. If an individual in any country in the world was caught dumping highly toxic chemicals into lakes and rivers, that person would be vilified by the media and brought to justice, and not one person would care. The same needs to happen to Corporations! This is the crux of every single problem in the world!
