it’s like watching a slow motion train wreck… just like Fukushima the information will be revealed well after the fact and leaked as slowly as possible.

Not to worry. The NRC chairman is known to his peers, for his enthusiastic nuclear career decisions, as “Captain Ron”.
Report Comment
Perhaps we can give him a special cape that is pre-soaked in the now possibly (or soon to be) radioactive sewage washing around in the Missouri flood waters at Fort Calhoun. Help him get on with his spreading of shit.

The head honcho from NRC was ALREADY heading to the plant prior to this “puncturing” of the 2000 foot aquadam thing. This story is almost putting spin on that the guy is going now due to this sudden turn of events. Does this mean the events really are “scripted” and that he was already timed to be there while this is now going on?
Sure smells like it to me.
Report Comment
I agree wholeheartedly, Savvy. This is just too much coincidence for me.
Report Comment
Could also be that initially he was going there for a lesser goal, a photo-op, face-time, reassurance show, but then had to upgrade the purpose of the visit to match the magnitude of the dam collapse and probable electrical and cooling system failures and consequences.
Report Comment
There is nothing to worry about! The NUCLEAR power plant is flooded and backup generators are “cooling the NUCLEAR material”. Everything is fine! Get back to your regular scheduled programming. —>2weeks pass<— Senate calls for full investigation of Nebraska Meltdowns. President Obama to step down. NRC claims, meltdowns worse than initially thought, "no one could have predicted the floods". Breadbasket of America files lawsuit against Nebraska citing $800 billion in damages and lost income.
Report Comment
Though before the legal case is ever closed, all involved in the lawsuit may be dead. So, no worries! Here’s the latest “reality TV” cause you don’t want to look at the actual reality, cause that’s a pretty unpleasant view and all, so here, look at these pretty pictures instead.
Report Comment
Of course the dead plaintiffs will need the State of Nebraska’s permission to sue.

[From the NPR article:]
… for all practical purposes, Monday’s ruling makes any nationwide class action lawsuit impossible.
By almost any marker, Monday’s ruling is the most significant employment discrimination decision in more than a decade.
“This is an extremely important victory, not just for Wal-Mart, but for all companies who do business in the United States,” said Theodore Boutrous, Wal-Mart’s lead counsel.
-> So, they have first blocked access to nationwide class action and it is a certainty that any other level of such legal danger (ie. State level class action suits) will be the next to be prevented.

In News this morning, Mon, About !
Headlines on Yahoo… Makes one feel all is well but not about the trouble Calhoun plant… Why headline a plant that had not the troubles of Calhoun plant…
["NRC chairman visits Cooper plant, is impressed with safety measures"]…
Then goes on to say…
[The chairman of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission visited Cooper Nuclear Station near Brownville on Sunday and said despite rising floodwaters and rampant rumors, he's confident the station is safe.] ….
This plant is not the one going under water… the reader many not know….
A diversion…
[But even as the state's nuclear plants become national news,] ["The plant is very safe right now,"...]
Notice he says plants.. then refers to ‘one’ plant,.. then says SAFE !
[Jaczko said his visit to Nebraska came not because of a problem, but as a way to gather information.]
… this would lead people to believe the the problem has been resolved,….this is a swap/switch… what problem at this plant ?? None !
another diversion ?… “I’m not here doing an inspection,”
[Jaczko toured Cooper's grounds with plant officials and members of the media before spending more than an hour away from the tour learning about the inner workings of the plant.]
Notice he goes back to choice of word … “This Plant” …>
["This is a plant that is operating safely and meeting our standards."]
We all know about backups running at the Calhoun plant, look what is said here, …>
[plant officials said they've taken steps to make sure power is never lost at Cooper
We have so many redundant power supplies," Cooper licensing manager Dave Van Der Kamp said. "It's hard to imagine losing all of that."]
At the VERY BOTTOM of page in notations*…
[* A berm burst near the Fort Calhoun Nuclear Station early Sunday, but government officials say the plant remains safe.]
Then goes on to say about dam and debunking rumors…>
[* See that YouTube video about a supposed crack in the Gavins Point Dam? Ruch said that's hogwash.
"It's crazy," he said. "The dam isn't cracking, it's performing as designed."]
Dispel before it takes traction ??
