Aditi Roy, ABC News Los Angeles: [...] There are fears that the contaminated water could reach the U.S. in less than a year. Some debris has already made its way to the West Coast. Battered fishing boats, appliances and other garbage — even fish. Researchers who have been monitoring the water say the radioactive material will be diluted enough to safe levels — good news for those who love coming here to the beach.
