“For the time being nothing has made it outside,” the spokesman said, asking not to be named.
(So basically what this says is… I’m giving you information of great importance, but I ain’t going to give you my name. Why would that be?)
“A security perimeter has been set up around the installation, firefighters said, without being able to provide further details.”
(We’re here, but we don’t have clue and if we did, we wouldn’t tell you.)
Geez…! Is this lame or is it just me?
I see more information about a cat, named Fluffy, stuck in a tree on my local news.

An anonymous spokesman. That is insane!
How can anyone be expected to believe anything, that man said. Maybe he started his speak, by saying “Trust me! Everything is fine. Believe me, I’m not lying, but don’t quote me on that”

The guy in the CNN video says the French nuclear industry has a good safety record, but they apparently aren’t so careful when they mine uranium (both domestically and abroad):

So much for being a clean and safe industry.

They are going to ban the private ownership of geiger counters – you watch.
And it will happen here in the United States too, mark my words.
Those pesky educated citizens – we can’t let them have information!
You know where this leads, don’t you? When banning geiger counters doesn’t work, they will simply make people disappear – After all, it worked for Stalin.

Is it any wonder why 300,000 people a year move out of the United States?

… caused by a fire near a furnace in a radioactive waste storage site, …
I have to wonder if the French have been receiving any of the problematic or damage fuel from the spent fuel pools or other unspent fuel from Japan, they were some of the first to go to Japan after the accident ! …????
Perhaps much of the shipments they had received had not been paid for or they knew they would not be able to use as the situation was in Japan !

There are various nuke plants in the close area: Tricastin, Cadarache, and a lot of nuke facilities. Here on the German news the spokesperson said that the worker was “burnt to death in seconds” and his “colleagues are shocked”.
Hardly any news in French media.
They will just put his body in a lead coffin and dump it at a nuclear waste facility.

They will repair or replace the oven and cremate him onsite.

When I lived in France I asked some people about the nuclear industry there, and whether there had been any accidents.
“There are accidents, but no one reported them, since they would have you killed.”

Some of my colleagues are French (I work in Luxembourg), and they are completely clueless.
Some check German anti-nuke sites to find out what goes on in their country. In the communities around Cattenom, EDF pays for everything: new football pitch, infrastructure,…just to shut the folks up.
