Fukushima Daiichi Worker: The Health Ministry is busy with paperwork and does not understand the situation at the plant. The Health Ministry must think the workers are dispensable. No one will want to start working at plant.
A part of me wishes that all available and potential workers would strike or just stop showing up. Maybe that would open Tepco's eyes a litte bit, but at the same time it would spell disaster.
Which is worse? A skeleton crew of mistreated workers who won't have health coverage who are not motivated and can't possibly get the job done with their low numbers? Or no workers at all to be taken advantage of and the job not getting done? Either way it seems not much is being done…maybe I'm wrong in that assessment.
I really can't wrap my head around this at the moment.
My greatest rage on 3/11 was that TEPCO was too big to die.
My greatest rage today is that TEPCO is still too big to die, and that they just don't understand life, nor do they desire to understand. They live in their shells and pretend all is fine and dandy and liable-free. There is no compassion or comprehension thereof, only of damage control and camouflage, usually grossly incompetent doing so.
This country and most of the world have given the go ahead for these, "SPEWERS OF DEATH AND DESPAIR" to continue opperating. The US knows exactly what has happened and what the necessary steps are to contain this horrible mess. It seems as though they, the governments, are walking or running around with blinders affixed to their brains. A great implosion is comming and it's a known fact. Tepco is gone, a skeleton crew will remain as long as possible but in the end, you and I will be paying for this mess, just like the one in the former USSR only difference, Japan hasn't failed, yet but that day is comming.
The Governments of the world, with a few exceptions, Japan and the U.S. in particular though, don't give a flying fuck about their citizens. The U.S. government caters to the top 1% of the population more and more each day. You think those people want THEIR money spent on something like Fukushima? Hell, in the U.S. they don't want the general population educated, employed, with proper medical care, well fed, housed, you name it. As far as they are concerned, you aare on your own. Bush stated (in so many words)this many times in his eight years.
Anyone working their are nuts, as soon as they do not need or want the workers they will refuse to give free medical in the future and no disability when they have no energy to work like the Chernoble workers.
