Saw this posted in another post. Thought it worth looking at again. I am starting to plan my posts for tomorrow at the weak propaganda paper St. Louis Post-Dispatch. I post new topics with glaring headlines until they ban me. Pointing out that the newspaper is not reporting the truth is usually one of my main topics each time. There are millions of people I really believe would be right here supporting us if they knew. These are hard-working tax-paying rule-following responsible and trusting citizens, and it is this sleeping giant they seek to always keep sheltered from their agendas. We and others like us, need to reach them. Then, it’s ball game or at least we’ll have a shot at one.

Radiation Coverups And Dangers Exposed Worldwide

The nuclear industry and nuclear egulators worldwide, as well as specifically in the United States, have continually covered up disasters and radiation releases as if they never happened or posed no danger to the public.

To begin to understand the corruption of the nuclear power industry and the danger we are in because of it, you must first realize that they actually fund their regulators, The NRC in the United States and the IAEA for the world.

The Christian Science Monitor reported in mid March that lax oversight, specifically at the IAEA may have caused the Japan nuclear crisis.

Just as the BP oil spill one year ago heaped scrutiny on the United State’s Minerals Management Service, harshly criticized for lax drilling oversight and cozy ties with the oil industry, the nuclear crisis in Japan is shining a light on that nation’s safety practices….”

MUCH MORE AT LINK. The coverup is as big a story as each scandalous and outrageous piece of information and shred of envrionmental pollution.

Ok, this is off subject – but science is reporting that coffee and tea drinkers have 1/2 the nasal MRSA as non-drinkers. There – doesn’t your coffee taste better now?

Ran out of coffee yesterday so drinking TEA today. Thank God, it’s OLD TEA I’ve had stored from a long time ago. :)

    Becquerel

    A startling surreal twist to
    the dedication to tea

    Has set Japan ministry
    against Japan ministry

    A microscopic view of all
    that is horribly wrong

    Depicted in a cameo
    of ghastly goings on

The matter is tea in this debacle
    so nasty and sinister

Tea leaves to be exact which have set
    minister against minister

You will not wonder why this tea
is the source of so much ugly drama

When you learn it was harvested
not two hundred miles from Fukishima

I believed that I might have gone around
the bend until I read it over and over

Then I realized the insanity was built
into what you are about to discover

Harvested tea leaves “were found” to exceed
    “government limits” for radioactive cesium

(There is a certain amount you may ingest
with your tea and food with the government’s blessium)

    The radiation safety limit
for tea leaves is five hundred becquerels per kilogram
the same as for vegetables you see

The limit for the tea in your cup
is two hundred becquerels per kilogram
the same as for water you drink regularly

    In freshly harvested tea leaves
    over the five-hundred-becquerel limit
    of radioactive cesium was found

In dried tea leaves three thousand becquerels
of radioactive cesium were found –
    a health finding extremely unsound

Here is the coda to my
    tale of true insanity

    It is not Japan’s story
    but one of humanity

The horror will play out the same way
when it arrives on our shores

The folly will be no different
    when the catastrophe is ours

Restriction of shipment of contaminated tea leaves
is voluntary not mandated by statute

Health ministry urges legalizing restricting shipments
    but agriculture ministry does refute

Agriculture ministry says drinking tea made
    from contaminated leaves is safe
despite high levels of radioactive material
    since radioactivity would be diluted

An unpalatable conclusion which left me wondering
at just what level of acuity
and in just what dimension of reality
the intelligence of my species is rooted

    Health ministry wondered if consumers
would feel safe with tea leaves containing
    several thousand becquerels of radiation
    on the market
even though the materials are diluted
as an announcement a foolhardy decision

To voice such a thing out loud
to show that PR was their concern
    lest anyone mistakenly believed that
they cared about the public health
    an announcement deserving of
    amusement and derision

    This is tea
    Multiply it by everything
    Bring it here
    To your country
    To your state
    To your city
    To your neighborhood
    To your street
    To your house
    To your fridge

May I get you a cup of tea?

    http://www.phyast.pitt.edu/~blc/book/chapter11.html

    • This Chapter which Heart of the Rose links is from the book:THE NUCLEAR ENERGY OPTION
Professor Emeritus Bernard L. Cohen University of Pittsburgh
      Published by Plenum Press, 1990.
Yes modern civilisation’s cumulative effects should be a concern, not just a comparison of nukes and others. Given enough time modern civilisation will destroy itself! And nukes are a hateful part of it causing the synergistic effects of itself with for example sulphur trioxide emitted by fossil burning- six times acid rains will be synergistic effects of coal and nukes!Look at my submission on the cumulative effects of modern civilisation with nukes which give no net energy in place as discussed above. In practice its Sellafield,CHERNObyl,Fukushima… and not the ivory tower visions that come about because man invents many a time unworkable processes not taking the long term cumulative effects into account. What is required is a sensible energy audit of modern civilisation and to call for a normal way of life which preserves environmental health as the bottom line above everything else like profits by externalising individual effects. Here energy conservation must take precedence over the whims and fancies and faeces of individual caprice like excessive individual transportation, malls and offices using vapour compression disregarding vapour absorption for air conditioning and so on. By the time Cohen’s book appeared this had happened in India alone:
The total toll of infant mortality and still births in India during 1971-89 due to Sellafield operations, Chernobyl accident, nuclear weapons tests and normal operations of nuclear fuel cycle is given in Table MIMSB7189A in http://deathdealersnukes.blogspot.com/. The total toll as given in Table Deaths is 8785245. The toll of infant mortality and still births due to Chernobyl is included in the toll for 1986-89, titled Chernobyl. The 1986-89 toll equals 664234 deaths. The Mortalities could have been more than 25% higher but for the body’s Repair Process. All this for no power to society outside the nuke industry! Both coal and nukes would cause internal contamination, coal in the form of fly ash brick dust in our midst and Fukushima is being experienced in the form of conatminated territories forever and beef uneatable and tea undrinkable and peaches pink and killers. But unless the business as usual mindset changes of corporations that they must sell their products which they have produced by putting inhuman pressure on their sales force instead of sacredly not violating the norm which should be self imposed of environmental health, coal or nukes or whatever, we are a lost cause.
