A major Japanese oil wholesaler says it has developed a fuel cell system that supplies 70 percent of a household’s daily electricity needs.

JX Nippon Oil & Energy Corporation says the home-use device is 10 percent more energy efficient than conventional models.

The device produces electricity and hot water through a chemical reaction with hydrogen and oxygen. It will sell at around 35,000 dollars in October.

Critics say such systems don’t work during power failures, a drawback revealed during the March 11th disaster.

President Yasushi Kimura says his company plans to solve that problem by selling the product with a storage battery system that keeps working even during blackouts, as early as next summer.

The problems are being reported with increasing regularity.

Poor sod. One can only not even begin to imagine what went through his mind, what is going to be going through his mind from now on.

    Sorry.

  • Very sad. I have seen in my days blue collar workers doing all kinds of things to shorten their lives. Good people, badly informed.

What do they mean by “they found radioactive material attached to his jaw, neck”?

Was it “attached” in a way that it cannot be washed off? Did some of it get absorbed by his pores? I thought external contamination could be cleaned off.

  • My regards prayers and sympathy to the families, Your men/son’s/husband’s/Father’s did a most valiant valuable service to mankind !

  • Such a cover up going on regarding radiation casualties…

Even if we are to believe that only injuries occured, they still got engulfed in the mushroom cloud. Yet, no official radiation casualties.

150+ smth missing workers… I think thats the actual number we should be looking at.

They cant find them, beacuse the records of their deaths were either destroyed or classified.

    • I posted a picture of 6 or more men laying on a hospital floor being cared for, ( way back when ) they did not look to be feeling well at all, thinking these were some most likely dosed with that cloud !

So saddened by all this, the only thought left to come to my mind is a Buddhist prayer of dedication:

Through whatever merit and virtue attained,

May all beings find happiness and the causes of happiness.
May they be free from sorrow and the causes of sorrow.
May they never be separated from the sacred happiness with is free from suffering.
And may they live in the great equanimity which is free from passion, aggression, and prejudice.

Perhaps the “I” should be changed to “We”, and “passion” be changed to “volatility.”

Other than that, may we continue to try to evolve to a more loving, nurturing, sustaining beingness.
