Title: Japan Probes Alleged Nuclear Cover-Up
Source: AP
Date: July 22, 2012
Japanese authorities are investigating subcontractors on suspicion of forcing workers at the tsunami-hit nuclear plant to underreport the amount of radiation they were exposed to so they could stay on the job longer.
[...]
The investigation marks the first time the government has looked into the case, believed to be part of a widespread practice at the plant since it was hit by the worst atomic crisis since Chernobyl.
[...]
Health and Labor Ministry officials [...] said TEPCO had several workers share a dosimeter not just early in the crisis when the equipment was in short supply due to tsunami damage, but even after a full stock had been regained.

Desperate times require drastic measures, they are working with a small pool of workers, with no replacements and no prospects of new workers, how many people participated in chernobyl how many at Fukushima.
If these workers actual reading were recorded their would be no workers at Fukushima.
Offer low level criminals parole if they agree to help with cleanup, that's what I call paying society back.
Why are the engineering colleges in Japan not training people to take over these jobs when these workers become over exposed, this should be a priority or are they going to use foreign workers, not likely.

Here's the whole AP article.
It doesn't mention the fact that the subcontractor, Build-Up, made workers throw away the lead plates in a bush on Fukushima Daiichi property when they became afraid of being found out.

There has to be rules and dose limits. If dose rates are too high then more workers are needed, that is how nuclear work has always been done. You so not sacrifice a small group of workers health because you do not want to hire more people.
Most of the workers they need are for unskilled positions. The universities in Japan educate a large number of nuclear engineers each year, but most of those people will work from offices and hardly ever enter the plant. Most of the people they need are basically laborers, who clean things up and move things around.
So your job pool should be huge, the army, the unemployed, and foreign workers. Again Tepco proves they are idiots.

I hear that Tepco uses a astrologer for advise and right now Uranus is in the cusp of Saturn and nothing to worry about.

Dowsing rods are also Tepco's favorite tools, I've heard..

Had TEPCO been smart enough to consult an astrologer and a dowser in the first place, the dowser would have told them the site was a lousy choice and the astrologer would have told them of imminent disaster.

All that personnel require money, which the yakuza don't wantnto waste.
It would also be an admittance they are in big dodo.
Can't afford to lose those Vietnamese nuke plant deals by putting out the wrong impression.

Not surprising at all after seeing and hearing Kei Sugaoko speak out.

Dear AP,
What purpose does this effort make to treat this as an isolated incident?
Ivestigate and journal it like the systemic issue that it is…
… Collusion between government, operator and regulators.
Ready for a Pullizer?
Investigate the collusion between the IAEA and ALL functioning governments and operators.

Max1, Investigative journalism seems to be a thing of the past.
What Kei Sugaoko says at 30:20 of this vid says:

Would/should/could be enough for a global investigation into the matter of shielding dosimeters off(covering up) with lead.

For nostalgia…
… It could happen.

Yep, costs way too much money for the stockholders now.

Most stories in the major media are cut and paste from one single lead story written by a few desk journalists who trimmed the story from a field journalist. Western investigative journalism has always been a rare thing, but had its heyday from 1950's thru early1970's. One set of "confirmable facts" will be beefed up with "filler" and recycled until the editor thinks it loses public attention, then it's dumped. So, when we accuse the media of hiding or colluding, i think we need to think more along the lines of just not caring.

Collusion among the Underworld, utilities and the Govt. has always been an open secret in most circles. From dumping the doo doo to cleaning up the doo doo, to squelching wistle blowers. Yakuza has repeat customers coming and going. And the 893 always gets their cut from all directions. As an example, a rival gang from a neighboring community were payed to dump truckloads full of cow manure into our outgoing municipal water supply.
The gang in our town were payed to clean it up. For two weeks, our water smelled like cow piss and chlorine. And of course, certain people were "sent a message" not to talk about it.

I would say you need to move, but, really, where to? Once you figure out where the government is honest and law enforcement isn't corrupt, then everyone will want to move there and it starts all over again.
I feel for ya', gn2l, I really do. There's lots of that here in the US:

Was this done to intimidate a local official and also get money from the public coffers in the bargain? One of those set ups where you have to pay people not to hurt you or your business?

Think about it, what newspaper fails to report on the biggest story on earth, only a media empire that has ties to big brother, or big brother has threatened them.
I am sure the secret service of all countries have a large file on all CEO, etc of these companies and you know we all have skeletons in the closet. Easy to blackmail these people, you did not get to the top by being nice, a large portion of CEOs are psychopaths, their are studies.
