Title: Leaks sprout at 14 spots in Fukushima nuclear power plant
Source: AJW by The Asahi Shimbun
Date: January 30, 2012
Emphasis Added
Some 7,800 liters of water leaked from a fuel rod storage pool and reactor cooling systems in the disabled Fukushima No. 1 nuclear power plant on Jan. 29 [...] after pipes ruptured because of freezing weather. [...]
The leaked water was supplied from a nearby dam to cool reactors and processed radioactive water. [...]
Decommissioning the reactors at the facility is expected to take decades. But with problems still occurring even now, it remains uncertain how long the process will take. [...]

uh huh, uh huh.. So where is the picture of the guy holding the measuring cup? How do they KNOW how much water leaked out of SIXTEEN leaks? How do they even know how LONG these leaks have been going on, much less how much water came out?
Why are there no pictures of the leaks or of the leaked water? I might believe, if I saw a picture of sixteen PINHOLE leaks seeping dripping water.
But if I saw high pressure hoses with SIXTEEN HIGH PRESSURE LEAKS, SPEWING WATER under HIGH PRESSURE in all directions, I would tend to doubt that there is only a teensy weensy bit o water that was collected in a wine glass.
I am half way expecting that they will hold up this teeny weeny wine glass full of leaked water in a press conference camera, to be ingested by one of the ministers that keeps telling us how safe everything is.

If they can be off by a factor of ten, why not make it a factor of 1,000, or even 100,000 liters? Maybe it was actually TONS of leaked water, but someone made a ‘mistake’..
It is rather odd, how OFTEN these seemingly innocent ‘mistakes’ happen, where a number of zeros are left off of the estimates, often more than once… they keep adding zeros, over and over again…
Who cares about zeros anyway? A zero is after all, NOTHING at all.
So if we are adding more nothing to nothing to start with, we still end up with nothing, right? I am surprised this logic is not being used.

Off by 10 quadrillion again. Pretty easy mistake to make, right?

Has there been one, even one bit of good news ever about Fukushima? This is getting worse and worse by the day, by the hour, by the minute. It is so distressing that words cannot describe.

There’s been lots of good news about Fuku, straight from TEPCO, with no supporting evidence. Oh, sorry, you meant truthful information. Well……….

The “leaking” pipes might be why Reactor 1 shows red and orange in the TEPCO webcam. This is the northern side of the building where the crane is seen “floating” in the day time. Most people have noted this wonderful new feature for Fukushima. However, if leaking, how much cooling water is getting into the sieve that are the containment vessels. Will this impact the “cold shutdown (sarcasm)”?

don´t true it must leaks all days
1. this kind of machine cant get clean the water really
maybe it can make 2 or 3 rounds in a circle , than it will be “shine” or to aktive
2. all day they cool with water , after the crash they startet with big towbawo and 10-15m³/ h water injektion on all critical points ( i think 8 ponts 4 r 4 P) and they dont built a new cooling sytem ! where is the water ?? now 300 day`s x 24 h x 30000- 50000l . where are the 1500 watertanks with 100m³ volume
its the same like any other tepco info
10 % true 50 % trash 40% desinformation for the wrong traces!
and very big change the display units between m³ dm³ mm³ l² dl²kg³ t³ …….. and Ups read and confused
and wehre is the fuel ponton ? with the high level aktive water from the first week`s . how often they full it ?

TEPCO can’t read the measuring cup it is using…
No irradiated water made it …to the sea…
……how about spent fuel debris….?

Total Radiation Released Into Ocean, Air, Groundwater, Storage Tanks, etc http://www.care2.com/c2c/share/detail/3069802
How much total radiation is in those storage tanks on site?
No figures, no estimates, no totals, not even a guess as of today… 10 MONTHS down the road.
And when will it end?
No one knows.. maybe 30 to 40 years?

From months ago, I always wondered why TEPCO erected a covering over Reactor #1. There has been no effort to make a similar cover for #2, #3, or #4. Though it is clear that those reactors may actually be in worse condition (especially #2).
What is it about Reactor #1 that TEPCO wants to conceal? Is it coincidence that there are now mysterious leaks from the ‘repaired’ cooling system of Reactor #1?

who knows, obviously 3 aint worth a nickel, it is a strange strategy that has never been explained, or really I have never seen the question put to TEPCO

Gundersen said all Tepco’s ASSUMPTIONS are lowered by 100x

@BadjerJim
Reac#1 had oldest cooling system(isolation condenser) mounted different from React#2 #3 and #4 (turbines that runs on the stream) so #2 3 4 were cooled couple hours longer. reac#1 is in the worsenst state in Gundersen’s opinion
