It is so unbelievable and vile that they would arrest these people. They should be arresting all of the true criminals — the TEPCO leadership and Government leadership of Japan that is still allowing this poison to spread!!

It would really help if they gave us some info so we could mount International Pressure against those that arrested them! I see nothing on FB that helps in this at all. It is an outrage and only massive call ins, protesting this outrage works with the Japanese Authorities.

Any information would be helpful, so we can help them.

Perhaps they have a reason but arrest seems a tad much. I need more detail as to why, perhaps they are trying to halt contamination? I don't know but I'm sure we will find out more as time goes on. Of course I thought that about the corium and we have not really heard much and I know TEPCO has more details concerning the location, etc. Time reveals all.

there may be two reasons, moonshellblue, for arresting them: for their own safety and to maintain control over what's being removed from the area. Though we're likely to agree that the entire region's being contaminated, there are areas more-so than others. Unless these people are properly suited-up, using accurate rad-monitoring equipment and know proper decontamination procedures, they are seriously putting themselves (and others) in harm's way. Obviously, the region's entire population is being put at risk. But we're all aware that the road to hell is paved with good intentions. Regardless what this family's motives are, I just hope they're not inadvertently putting themselves and others at more risk than they already are.

Another (less legitimate) reason for arresting them could be an effort to control what may be discovered and ultimately revealed to the world. Put simply, TEPGOV is not known for being as straightforward as we'd like…
