Authorities: Nuclear engineer sought ‘thrill’ in DuPage hijacking
Daily Herald
By Josh Stockinger
May 11, 2012
A man who operates reactors at a nuclear power plant was “thrill seeking” when he put on a mask and hijacked a woman’s car at gunpoint, DuPage County authorities said Friday.
Michael Buhrman, a senior reactor operator at Dresden Nuclear Power Plant in Morris, was charged with aggravated vehicular hijacking.
[...]
Authorities said Buhrman later confessed the hijacking was a “stupid thing” to do and that he was only “thrill seeking.”

He must be standing to close to those reactors and fried his brain to have done something that stupid.
There are other ways to get a thrill:
Climb a mountain
Jump out of a plane
Bungee jumping
Getting the thrill of helping others
How about..Picket your Nuclear Power Plants and shock your supervisors

as a member of a planetary death cabal…what's a little rape and pillaging between shifts?!
He should get a walk, so he can return to annihilating all life on this planet…

Whatever you are a member of, it's your business.
I just think he could have found something legal and constructive to do, instead of what he did to that lady.

Poor woman, I hope she is all right.
I guess the only upside to this story is that he didn't try to live out his thrill seeking impulses at work.

How do we know he didn't do something to sabotage his workplace that takes time to begin to notice?-By that time,it may be too late to reverse his handiwork "if" that's even possible! I'm living less than 50 miles from Morris,IL & the Dresden NPP and have family on my wifes side who live closer to it than I feel comfortable spending July 4th there at the party my loved ones & I were invited to for the holiday festivities! Also,my wife of 21 years was diagnosed on Feb.20th of this year with stage 3B Breast Cancer that she's currently nearing the end of her chemotherapy for and scheduled for removal of her breast & the affected lymph node, followed by 35 radiation "therapy"(?!)treatments over a 7-week period! We were told she had to begin treatment immediately because her cancer was described as a fast-moving,aggressive type of cancer(inflammatory breast disease)that has a tendency to return after chemo & surgery. I'm extremely anxious about ANY of the dangers of both mthe cancer & treatment options, but the radiation really bothers me because I suspect Fuku,or even some "local", domestic sources-including Dresden may have been the cause of my wifes illness to begin with??!! I'd hoped to find someone involved with treating her illness that was familiar with the (ongoing) Japan Nuclear Disaster with an open mind,and/or willingness to talk to me about it,instead I get brushed aside & dismissed as some kinda fruit loop for bringing it up!!I'm not feeling very…

Also, the Cancer Center at the Chicago hospital where my wife is being treated has suddenly become overloaded with newly diagnosed cases of various cancers and since her 1st chemo infusion-the number of patients on any given day has gone from about 1/2 of its capacity-to overcrowded with the waiting rooms jam packed, standing room only of patients waiting to be infused with the toxic cocktails dripping from dozens of IV "trees" in the Infusion Room?!! I can't even get 2 words from the staff regarding their thoughts about what might be happening to cause this very notable "spike" in new cases, and I'd hoped to be able to get them to test her or comment on previous test results regarding certain "markers",etc. which could indicate whether her cancer was either hereditary,or possibly from carcinogens such as radioactive materials. It's frustrating and it's something I really want & NEED to know??!! I'd better get back to her now after I check my email for some things I've been expecting from the American Cancer Society-whom we're grateful to for the help & nice things they've done for us while we struggle thru this nightmare. Take Care ALL,-I hope this post finds everyone well.

Thank you so much for sharing this with us, Johnny Blade. I am so sorry to hear about your wife's cancer, and wish her the very best in a full recovery. I have three friends who are all long-term breast cancer survivors. I wish you both well, as you support her in her healing process.
The news about the "sudden spike" in cancers there in Illinois is so disturbing. I am guessing the situation is similar at cancer centers across the country, thanks to Fukushima.
If people only knew (besides us here at Enenews) just how serious Fukushima is, the world's WORST NUCLEAR DISASTER EVER, there would be no mystery as to why these spikes are happening. And yet, (per the other article here on enenews), MIT scientists want to help the DOE come up with more effective, innovative ways to fool the public into believing that nuclear is good and safe! The bald-faced, sheer AUDACITY of these fools!

Anyway, I wish you and your wife well, Johnny Blade. My heart goes out to all who are effected by this ongoing and senseless tragedy.
