WOAI, Aug 24, 2017 (emphasis added): Hurricane Harvey is setting its sights on the area around Corpus Christi… Located not far from where Harvey is expected to make landfall is the South Texas Nuclear Project nuclear power plant. Spokesman Buddy Eiler says the facility was ‘designed to sustain a storm,’ and there are plans in place to shut down operations if necessary…

STP Nuclear Operating Co., Aug 24, 2017: A Hurricane Warning has been declared for several counties in Southeast Texas, including Matagorda County. Hurricane Harvey is expected to make landfall near Corpus Christi on Friday, possibly as a category 3… At STP, we are tracking this storm closely and are making on-site preparations

STP Nuclear Operating Co., Aug 24, 2017: It is expected to intensify to a Category 3 hurricane before landfall… Significant flooding is likely for much of coastal and southeast Texas…

Washington Post, Aug 24, 2017: The extremely dangerous storm is predicted to strengthen and plow into southeast Texas on Friday… An incredible amount of rain… up to 35 inches, is predicted along the middle and upper Texas coast, because the storm is expected to stall and unload torrents for four to six straight days… Marshall Shepherd, a past-president of the American Meteorological Society, tweeted that he feared an “epic flood catastrophe.”… “In all these years, it’s rare that I’ve seen a hurricane threat that concerns me as much as this one does,” said Rick Knabb, hurricane expert at The Weather Channel and formerly the director of the National Hurricane Center… So much rain is predicted that the National Weather Service had to add a new high-end category to its forecast map

Minneapolis Star Tribune, Aug 24, 2017: Biblical Flooding Expected With Hurricane Harvey… NOAA’s 3 KM WRF model shows a landfall pressure of 912 millibars… which suggests a Category 4-5 intensity storm coming ashore near Corpus Christi… some meteorologists were agog over Harvey’s rainfall potential, using words like “unsettling” and “borderline unfathomable.”… All of these signals point to a setup that favors a major disaster

Bloomberg, Aug 25, 2017: “We are expecting catastrophic, life-threatening flooding in Southeastern Texas,” said Carl Erickson, a senior meteorologist for AccuWeather…

New Republic, Aug 24, 2017: [R]ainfall looks like it could produce truly unprecedented flooding, as meteorologist Eric Holthaus has pointed out…

KIII, Aug 25, 2017: Estimated winds could top 125 miles per hour with gusts up to 145 mph

KENS transcript, Aug 24, 2017: “Double-digit rainfall totals — and some nearly apocalyptic — are within reach. I mean this really could go to 20, 30 inches of rain.”

CBS News transcript, Aug 24, 2017: “We are talking epic flooding is possible in Eastern Texas — and that’s not an exaggeration.”

Well, besides the occasional sacrifice zone, the fact that each running nuke plant produces about 3 nuclear bombs worth of radiation, each day, makes it hard to justify nuclear in my book

WoW-'A total of more than 800,000 barrels a day of refining capacity were taken offline ahead of the storm, according to an estimate from data-tracking firm Genscape.'

We are so 'addicted'… That is about 25,000,000 gallons of gasoline/diesel a day…3.2million gallons of jet fuel..

small piece of a very big pie

    • How high will gas prices rise?

With 2 or more feet of rain expected through Wednesday of next week the refinery(s) won't be coming back to full production anytime soon…

If there are no other problems (other than simple flooding) the price of fuel is likely to rise .50 per gallon…

…that's barring any other problems created by the rain and winds.

Fill you tanks now as the speculators will likely raise prices on the gas already in the tanks at your local gas station.

Should not be legal to do, we call that price gouging….

The suppliers of this existing fuel (already in their tanks) didn't pay any more for what's in the tanks now…

And if there is a problem (and there easily could be) we could face a shortage that will keep fuel prices high for a long time…

So they began the shutdown ahead of the storm but those refineries just don't stop on a dime, it takes time to bring the to a cold shutdown…

Funny thing though, they decided to leave the nuclear power plants running…

Hummmmmmmmmmmm, shutting down the refineries makes money (through market speculation) and some may get rich over a small fuel shortage…

BUT the nuclear plants that could be 1000's of times more devastating in case of failure were left to operate because it would cost money to shut them down as a precaution…

What are they thinking? Dollars count more than people??

      A triple obvious wowsers…

Harvey rapidly intensified in the Gulf of Mexico and struck Texas as a Category 4.

“Two large-scale ingredients played a role in the quick strengthening….

    “…Key Ingredient 2: High Oceanic Heat…

"’Harvey passed over a warm ocean eddy with high heat content for over six hours Friday morning, and the extra energy the eddy provided allowed Harvey’s central pressure to fall a spectacular 15 (millibars) in just two hours, from 967 mb at 4 a.m. CDT to 952 mb at 6 a.m. CDT,’ said Jeff Masters in a Weather Underground Category 6 blog Friday….”

Before Hurricane Harvey, wireless carriers lobbied against upgrades to a national emergency alert system
A wonky debate at the FCC has real-life consequences, and public-safety officials aren’t happy

For years, the Federal Communications Commission has endeavored to upgrade the sort of short text-based messages — often accompanied by a loud alarm — that authorities have used since 2012 to warn Americans about rising floods, abducted children and violent criminals at large.

But efforts to bring those alerts into the digital age — requiring, for example, that they include multimedia and foreign-language support — have been met with skepticism or opposition from the likes of AT&T, Sprint, Verizon and T-Mobile, and even some device makers, too.

    • "Before Hurricane Harvey, wireless carriers lobbied against upgrades to a national emergency alert system"

Yes they did and they are right to do so…

What's the point of a alert? To get it to the end user as quickly as possible…

Multi media would slow the distribution of these messages (a no brainer) by increasing the band with usage…

Would also cause conflicts with devices, especially older phones…

Imagine sending 1 million texts all at once…

How long would it take to complete? Now add foo foo and photos, now how long would it take to complete the same notification?

A emergency alert is just that, an emergency, these messages should be sent ASAP in plain text with no dancing panda bear logos or other unimportant crap…

As for language issues that should be handled at the end user (and is already on most modern smart phones).

The truth is you can already send a simple link to another source…

Make plain text faster? A very good idea…

Send multi media alerts? Too bandwidth intensive and would slow down the entire process…

When it comes to emergency alerts time and access is the guiding factor.

If you bog the entire network down with foo foo nothing works, not even your cellphone…

Multi media emergency alerts? Dumbest thing I've read lately…

And a Trojan horse to spend our tax money on nothing.

They should call that plan the "Mulit Head" media effort to make a large chunk of tax money disappear…

20 trillion gone..mathematically impossible to pay back this massive debt..and now we are suppose to be worrying about wasting tax money/dollars?

So many needy hands have been out all over the world..what are a few more hands.. in the cookie jar?

        • No doubt obewan something is amiss (and has been)…

The question is now how to make folks aware of obvious wastes of time and money!!!

We don't seem to have enough of either one now….

But I see people jump on any band wagon that comes along no matter how ridiculous.

And all is lost is on the forefront of everyone's thinking…

The plan? If there is a evil plan it's obviously working, everything is a conspiracy except the real conspiracy which is?

To unempower your involvement in real decision making and stop positive involvement and stop you thinking toward the future while you are inundated with fairy tale tripe of no consequence to keep you occupied.

If we want to stop the crazy spending while children go hungry and the world slips into a coma from pollution…

We have to ignore the crazy fairy tale distractions and study the real problems…

The distraction of lies and imaginary problems created by those seeking fame and/or free money is the real conspiracy!

So the next question should be..why do we pay any taxes at all?

Just let them print funny money as needed and we just keep all of our own money!

It Is Mathematically Impossible To Pay Off All Of Our Debt

          • "It Is Mathematically Impossible To Pay Off All Of Our Debt"

That's both true and false and let me show you what I'm saying…

Contribution and math are two different things…

A solid contribution to the world is worth more than money…

And as you said when you have a gigantic copy machine you can print paper at will…

Money is a illusion, truth and fact is real…

Math never adds up to reality even in physics…

And yep I said physics. Many will argue that math is the only true measure but that too comes from those that believe it or have a agenda.

So if the math the ideas and assumptions were actually correct it would resolve and would not be unsolvable.

The truth versus math lie has been proven.

What we do is who we are and what we are starts with what we believe is truth.

Think you are going to climb a mountain and you probably will…

Think all is lost and it probably is…

That's about outlook and control, so if you don't want to be controlled don't let the nay sayers control you with these cheap putup stories of gloom and doom and start to formulate a plan to stop the bad and create good in it's place.

Nice..you did not answer the question..since the debt is funny money printed by those that spent it on their desires..do we need to pay taxes to those that spent money that was not theirs to spend and that was funny money in the first place once the debt = $1.00?

              -$1.00 forward to -20 trillion = -100% funny money!

                • No it's real!!! Nothing to do with who posted it on youtube…

It's the old power of positive thinking defined and it really does work…

What you think is who you are and what you attract into your life whether you realize it or not…

If you watch that thing and implement the principle you will catch yourself doing it and it can change your life.

It is a real principle and is a real thing too…

If we focus on good, we will find ways of getting problems out of our life.

Focus on bad and be depressed and unempowered to take control of the things we as individuals can do…

And you know it's all about individuals, if everybody did good, bad would disappear…

There are about 195 countries that china can take over. Why not Africa…or Costa Rica? Costa Rica has no army, navy or air force, no heavy weapons of any kind. Surely China would start their conquest by taking over Mongolia and Kazakhastan.

                    • Then riddle me this ole end of the world people…

Fools have been predicting the end of the world throughout human history for one reason or another…

I was actually traveling I-35 from Austin to Dallas to do a gig when the Waco massacre occurred.

Say what you want about it but it all started from the whole end of the world is coming soon lie… Stockpile weapons and get ready for the apostolic craziness to come…

Well the craziness did come and allot of people lost their lives over a fairy tale but the world lived on.

And then I got to Dallas and before long what do you know? Another bunch of the world is ending fools committed suicide because the world was coming to a end… There's another 23 people that the world ended for sure enough…

But the rest of us lived on…

All this happened in short order many miles apart…

The only thing these people all had in common?

They thought the world was plunging into Armageddon and it was going to be all over…

The one thing all these people had in common and were correct about was????

The world was ending for them…

And they created it by thinking the world was ending….

Starting to see the pattern here?

I hope so… Otherwise you may fall for the great blunder…

What you pursue will be your outcome.

And the rest of the world will live on and some of us may can even be happy through life's struggles.

Your a guest here on earth, act accordingly…

                  • You should watch this one on politics…

This guy gets elected because a congressman with his same name dies and people vote for him because they know the name.

This one is from 1992 and was designed to shed light on this lack of recognition and involvement by voters and the corruption in government.

And no one seemed to pay attention anyway…

                    Some very humorous clips…

                    The Distinguished Gentleman clips:

              • razzz razzz

It is all pointless if Congress is always going to spend more than they take in. Eventually there will be an 'overnight' default when you least expect it. Normally in that case, either new money is issued and you get less new money in exchange or the money already in circulation is devalued, but prices stay the same making everything more expensive i.e. you need more devalued money to buy the same items as before.

Martin Armstrong always makes the case to not issue US bonds but to just print new money. Each way, new money is added and put into circulation but there in no interest due on printed money. Only held bonds are due interest payments, usually goes to a foreign government that eventually comes back into our local economies anyway and that interest payment is usually newly printed money since the US is technically broke.

So, it all involves new money but printing money needs no interest payment. US bond money needs an interest payment (more new printed money to pay that interest payment).

                • Yep a dollar was supposed to represent gold right?

But there is only so much (currently found) gold in the world while at the same time the population has exploded.

So how do you get money to survive in everyone's hands?

                  Answer? Print more notes.

While it does in fact devalue the note, it allows for everyone to have some. That's great in principle and is the reason why the world operates on fiat currency today.

The problem is if you could print money you'd fire up the press anytime you wanted something and that's a want, not a need.

So we see the dollar devalued, and that is understandable.

Now add some misinformation and skulduggery and you get problems like we see today.

So printing more money is not the issue, WHY we print more money and for what purpose is…

Things that make ya go bppbbpbpb…

The monetary system is not hard to figure out. I lend you money I dont have and you lend me money you dont have and we make a killing on the interest. Thats right. China owes us about as much as we owe them and we are busy just paying the interest on that debt. The federal reserve actually is owed a large part of the debt, and collects interest on it. But…but the fed reserve is for the people right? How is that different than lending yourself money, expecting to make money on the investment? This ONLY works in the real world (the REAL real world, not yours) if companies can get productive efficiency out of scale and mechanized production. But in reality this is why the rich get richer as the poor get poorer.

look at the mirror image of wealth inequality

It may interest you to know only apple had this exploit and it was patched some time ago…

But it made apple look bad as this was in fact their OS/software that allowed it in the first place, the rumors spread quickly it was a problem without the mention of mac or apple…

Just another totally fake bit of misinformation…

Unless you own a older mac…

And Microsoft has had WAY many other exploit problems than Mac but I guess when apple made the claim that there computers were free from viral attacks and exploits to sell more computers to unknowing buyers they had to come up with something.

Adobe Flash vulnerabilities – a never-ending string of security risks

It’s time you learnt how to live without Flash (spoiler: it’s easier than you think)

                      No read, no clue…

                      Of course RO works.

You water company should be using it."

                      Look man get with reality…

The water company can distill it for that matter…

                      Won't matter…

After that water travels through miles of pipes laid in the 70's, enters my home plumbing and hits the end of the kitchen faucet it will be contaminated with something.

And pipes break all the time and have to be dug up and replaced…

Common sense is defiantly not common.

                      Try to keep up man…

                      'Of course RO works.

You water company should be using it.'

There is a reason why they do not.
                      Cost and loss.

That is why 'you' pay for the waste water 'loss'. The 4-5 gallons down the drain for each gallon RO'ed.

If they had it together, Municipal Water suppliers would find a use for the waste…irrigation or ??? at the consumers end. They do not.
And no one wants to RO toilet flush water, hand wash, sprinkler, car wash, etc etc etc

Like many other things, this will run its course, be recognized as wasteful, and come to an end.

For now, its a little extra profit. 😆

                      The warning was to others.

You wouldn't even know it if you didn't already know it…

                    • It's END POINT FILTERING…

The only thing that matters when it comes to clean drinking water…

Every drinking water bottling company on the planet uses RO in mass but it then goes straight into the bottle…

Ya just can't run water through miles of iron, plastic or copper pipes and it be clean when it gets to your faucet…

The water treatment people know this, the drinking water bottlers know this, the manufacturers of end point water filtration systems know this…

The real question is why don't you know this.

You MUST filter ANY drinking water at the end point for it to be free from contaminates, no matter where you live or what the supply source…

320,000,000 people would like to have clean, safe, drinkable water…in the USA

1 gallon each, a day, on average.

                      320,000,000 million gallons of RO?

                      1,280,000,000… 1.3 billion gallons

Down the drain. Every day. At least.

The problem is simple. You will run out of water making it drinkable. We already flush 5-10 times that down the crapper.

EVERY single molecule of water that was on the earth when the earth was formed is still here there will never be any more or ANY less.

And you are going to run out of water…

This one really has no clue about this subject…

And by the way we are all bathing in water that already was used somewhere else.

They put a draw pipe in the river to make potable water and process waste water (sewage) and dump it right back into the river and then that flows down stream to the next draw pipe.

Rinse, lather, repeat all the way down the river…

                      Water shortage? Really????

Here's one for the cheap seats…

You know what a water treatment plant is right?

You know that water plants are by water sources right?

You know that they place a biiiiig pipe into the water source and draw 100's of gallons at a time out of the water source (river? lake?).

You realize that there is waste water form the treatment of tap water right???

You know that they return the waste water through another big pipe back into the river they pulled the untreated water out of right?

So if they desired to RO water at the treatment plant where would they put the waste water from RO? The same place they do now with waste water from tap water processing!!!

Right back in the river they pulled it out of…

                      And that's hard to get?

The first thing you do is open a full page flash object getting the user to turn on flash, or god forbid someomne has it on still, and then to redirect to another site, that requires flash, a completely different object, that the user never clicked ok to, and that goes against almost every current web coding standard no matter the fact that it is so extremly vulnerable everyone has decided to end it.

China owes the US 1.3$ Trillion
The U.S. debt to China is $1.102 trillion

wouldnt you love to siphon some of that interest money?

Think of money as a trading coupon. If one coupon is equal to one watermelon, and you print more coupons, then what happens…the value of melons goes down? No! People can buy more melons? NO. Did the government/federal reserve ever give you some of that new printed money? No again. Only banks and lenders/stock players see that money. The common worker will never be given free printed money. The money goes to money lenders or "investors". Whether its U.S. Treasury securities or a bank loan for a house…the receiver of wealth didnt have to TRADE anything…they had FREE coupons…called usury.

Look…the Fed says, we are going to inject more money into the economy by lowering the amount of funds banks must hold against deposits in bank accounts. Its a small amount! 3%? Wouldnt it be nice to have a million dollars but be able to lend 33 million and collect interest? So anyway, the banks can loan more money and now someone buys a house. Did the home buyer 'get more money'? No! He simply has to pay interest that he didnt have to before…now he is in debt. A $100,000 loan with a 4 percent fixed interest rate means you end up paying like $175,000. You are poorer, not richer!

this illustrates the game of interest rates and money printing; 'if interest rates went back to a more normal level of, say, 5.7 percent, 85 percent of all personal income taxes collected would go to paying the debt' wow!

Its a siphon. Ive developed one so people can feed their dogs for free. Its a tube that goes into the dogs jugular vein and is routed to a pad that gets soaked with blood at their muzzle that they can lick when hungry. Its based on sound financial concepts!

The joke is on China when buying low interest bonds where they could have invested in the US stock market for a better rate of return.

Soon all government bonds will be dumped in favor of owning US stocks. Doesn't matter what pundits opinions are, they are already missed the boat on the first leg up in the stock markets.

Money is not entering the system because people are trying to save and not spend. If Trump is assassinated or impeached, the stock markets will still go up. If he survives all this nonsense, the stock markets will go up to nosebleed heights before a final crash.

Trump gets his tax plan through and even back to Glass-Steagall, it will only temporarily extend a period of growth because 'tax and spend more' Congress will crash us in debt eventually.

The US consumer is propping up the entire world even with a low and slow growth rate. Without the US consumer the world crashes.

All this talk about rates, money injection, debt and banking is based on what the US consumer is doing and how they handle it.

US consumers and taxpayers bear the effects of US debt. Only the world's confidence in US labor output puts value in the US dollar.

In the meantime, communism reins supreme in Red China.

I lend 100 grand to the Chinese, and the Chinese lend 100 grand to me. lets say 16% interest on a ten year term period…we both double our money! Then we can loan that money and quadruple our money. If you calculate this as compound interest, rolling your yearly dividends back into the loan instrument, in fifty years you will have 288 million dollars!! Now if you keep this going through the next generation, surely nobody would have to work and everyone would be fabulously wealthy. I was going to the store a few hours ago. It was dark. A cat ran out in front of my bike at the same time a car was coming around the corner of the intersection. The cat ran right into the path of the oncoming car. At the last second the cat jumped up and bit the bumper or the bumper skirt. I heard it hit. It thudded against the car and fell down by the wheel. I was sure the cat was dead.

I said, "Ahh SHIT!" After making the turn at the intersection, I looked back on the lighted roadway being sure I would see the cat in the roadway. There was no cat there.

This proves that the earth is round. The cat must have rolled on the curvature of the earth. Nah, just kidding. We have a pretty good road department here, but not THAT good. What the hell? I guess cats do have nine lives. We should send them in to clean up Fukushima.

I would settle for this kind of spending if they shut down all public nuclear power generating plants.

Conceding military aspects of nuclear deterrent, they can be left to run breeder reactors and such for their war games needs but at least public reactors would eliminated.

The reason Texas nuke plants do not shut down is, money. They are operating on a thin profit margin as it is. Can't afford an unplanned shutdown unless absolutely necessary.

On the other hand, Arnie said it best, you do not want to see nuke plants and sandbags used in the same sentence when it comes to emergencies.

Is Distilled Water More Dangerous Than Tap Water?

“…Two main issues need to be addressed here: (1) the co-purification of organic contaminants with water distillation, and (2) the long-term health effects of drinking low-mineral water. You will see that using a distiller is still the best, most consistent way of getting clean, pure water….”

    • "Is Distilled Water More Dangerous Than Tap Water"

I totally agree with what Dr. Donaldson said with a couple of exceptions…

      1) The minerals left behind in the pot may not be 100 percent minerals anymore…

Cleaning the boil pot is a problem from a hazard standpoint…

Think about this for a moment…

If you put tap water into one and the water was contaminated with arsenic or lead you will be exposed to them when cleaning the pot not to mention radioactive metals if they are present…

      2) A carbon filter to trap gasses?

Well what happens if and when the filter traps these gasses in them?

It fouls and produces them in concentration or you change it and get exposed to some degree no matter what.

So the only way to really avoid contamination all together is to RO the water before placing it in the still…

My RO reads 2ppm as I'm typing this…

      Distilled reads 0ppm

The maintenance, purchase price, power usage and pressure dangers (not to mention a 80 pound device when full of water on my counter) didn't make since to me to get that reduction…

So I agree that if you use RO water the dangers and maintenance are reduced but by the time you purchase a distiller and a RO system and maintain them and pay the power costs for electricity for me it was just not worth it. If you do the math on purchase price (RO system and distiller), figure the filter changes and the time spent cleaning the unit. It's cheaper to purchase distilled…

    • AirSepTech AirSepTech

Your ongoing mis-info yields nothing but loser bullet points.

'It's cheaper to purchase distilled…' I doubt it, but you believe it, and offer 0 explanation.

It 2.5 kilowatts to distill 1 gallon. Here, that is about 17 cents. Distilled runs 80-$1.20 at the store, plus the wasted bottles, say 300 plus a year. Plastics? Concerned? Energy wasted producing and recycling? yeppers gomer.

Reverse Osmosis (RO) filters use membrane technology to filter impurities (minerals, calcium, chloride, sodium, chlorine, etc) from the water. The systems require periodic backwash to clean the filter. Depending on the model, most RO filter systems* will discharge 4 to 20 gallons (15.1 L to 75.7 L) of backwash water for every gallon of filtered water it produces. This discharge water is commonly directed to the sewer drain line. The discharge water from an RO system is only slightly less pure than the source water entering the filter. The concentration of minerals in the discharge water is often less than 25% greater than the source water; well within safe drinking water standards and certainly suitable for irrigation or other alternate reuse applications.

      * In recent years, some manufacturers have developed innovative RO filter systems referred to as “zero-discharge”; discharging the backwash water into the water supply pipes. The “zero-discharge” refers to the fact that the backwash water is not discharged into the sewer system.

      • AirSepTech AirSepTech

Zero 'discharge'…this is interesting…and illegal. Why do you think they 'require' backflow prevention on 'potable water'.

So this method does not 'waste' the water down the sewer, it puts it back into the water supply so everyone can 'enjoy' it. Tell your neighbors, surly they will love that idea.

In short, I personally don't give a flying-F what you choose, it is up to tribal knowledge, education level, and the spin that wins for all, even the dumb ones.

Creating more waste, be it water waste, plastics, power, fuel, throw away filters and junk, manufacturing all this crap for fun and profit, it all has a price tag.

Your kids will get that bill, guaranteed.

Money and debt. There's so many opinions.

If I print money and get caught, the government will throw me in a cage. I don't have the right to print money.

But if I get together with a group of other individuals, we can authorize someone to print money and cage anyone who prints money individually. It's weird how a group of individuals can do something that would be illegal if attempted by an individual.

OT – "Several years ago, little was known about the StingRay, a powerful surveillance device that imitates the function of a cell tower and captures the signals of nearby phones, allowing law enforcement officers to sweep through hundreds of messages, conversations and call logs.

The secrecy around the technology, which can ensnare the personal data of criminals and bystanders alike, spurred lawsuits and demands for public records to uncover who was using it and the extent of its capabilities. In California, a 2015 law requires law enforcement agencies to seek permission at public meetings to buy the devices, and post rules for their use online.

But a Los Angeles Times review of records from 20 of the state’s largest police and sheriff’s departments, plus the Alameda County district attorney’s office, found some agencies have been slow to follow or have ignored the law. Several that partner with federal agencies to work on cases are not subject to the law’s reporting requirements. The result is that little information on StingRay use is available to the public, making it hard to determine how wide a net the surveillance tools cast and what kind of data they gather."

While Kawai now spends about 80 percent of his time in legal battles against power providers and the government without pay, he started his career pursuing much more lucrative cases

“I did so many bad things,” Kawai says, recalling how in the 90s he turned his back on the corrupt businessmen and money-hungry upstarts he called clients. “I helped a lot of villains.”

In 1994, Kawai began taking on anti-nuclear cases. He says the reason for his reincarnation is simple: he wanted to use the legal system to do good for society, and believed the growing use of atomic power was the biggest risk facing Japan, one of the world’s most earthquake-prone countries.

“After losing so many times with everyone fighting cases individually, he created the strategy of bringing the lawyers together to share information,” said Hideyuki Ban, co-director of the non-profit antinuclear group Citizens’ Nuclear Information Center, who has known Kawai for nearly two decades. “We’ve been able to win an injunction twice because Kawai had collected expertise by calling on his network of lawyers.”

Wonder if the same will be true of any dams upstream of nuke plant?

They don't release water from dams during deluges unless there is a risk of losing the dams. During previous hurricanes they held back all of the water, but not this time around.

  • Tropical Storm Allison suddenly formed 80 miles off the coast of Galveston, Texas, on Tuesday, June 5, 2001, no one expected that, five days later, it would go on record as one of the most devastating rain events in the history of the United States. Neither historical data nor weather forecasts could adequately predict this extraordinary storm that, before leaving the area, would dump as much as 80 percent of the area's average annual rainfall over much of Harris County, simultaneously affecting more than 2 million people. When the rains finally eased, Allison had left Harris County, Texas, with 22 fatalities, 95,000 damaged automobiles and trucks, 73,000 damaged residences, 30,000 stranded residents in shelters, and over $5 billion in property damage in its wake. Leaving 31 counties with declared disasters in Texas, Allison went on to spread disaster declarations to Louisiana (25 parishes), Florida (nine counties), Mississippi (5 counties) and Pennsylvania (2 counties). Allison was the costliest tropical storm in the history of the United States.

I read it costs more than a hundred grand to house the immigrants family for a year. Hell, most families don't make that much.

Oh, hey. The bright side is that Texan refugees won't be demanding Sharia law

Good time to reflect on Tropical Storm Etau (2015) 10 inches of rain at Fukushima Daiichi NPP nuclear ruins. Up to thirty inches in the mountains. Probably 20 inches in the mountains of Fukushima Prefecture running downhill. NO VIDEO from TEPCO on the conditions at the power plant.

Good time to reflect on Typhoon Malakas, and its effects on the Sendai nuclear power plant on Kyushu, Japan. The eye sat on the power plant for hours and hours. NO VIDEO from the power plant.

Anyone see any VIDEO from the power plant in Alamagorda County, Texas?

Seriously doubt that any evidence contradicting claims of safety at nuclear plants will ever see much coverage.

Cesium detected in mushrooms sold in Japan store. 720 bq/kg. 100 bq/kg is max allowed by Japan. "Urgent"

But, it would be OK to sell it in the good old USA. 1000 bq/kg allowed here. Anything over that, and the government would recall the measuring instruments. Sorry, nothing to see here, move along
