Arnie Gundersen was requesting contaminated air filter samples from the Pacific NW and he has the expertise and equipment. You should contact his office ASAP! I was able to get detailed isotope testing on my water & foodstuff from my state Health Dept, Radiological Division. It was interesting and that’s what they have the capability for!

I understand that this is not dead on topic but I think it’s important to understand the system within witch we operate. There is no such thing as ethics, as we normal humans understand the term. Our world operates outside the norm and beyond what we would consider “normal behavior”. I think it’s important to know your enemy.

I think there will be BOTH.
I also think that NONE of us knows for sure ‘what we’re made of’. Nor, which road we’ll choose when the lights go out.
How do you do in the pitch dark? This will give us an indication of where we need to shore ourselves up, IMO.

I am thinking about this method for detecting iodine:

I just remembered how we used to test milk products for starch. Why not do the opposite for things, that are not supposed to contain iodine? Starch is available, but will it work? For snow for example.

yo need to get some liquid iodine and experiment….you dont need much iodine either…. mix a drop in a small amount of water and the add the starch…. interesting find!! keep us posted and if it works stick a link on the rad watch thread!!

a geiger could tell you that! but if you want to test the snow or rain and the water darkens then that is indicative of iodine! however the amounts of iodine in rainwater may be too small to activate the starch…hence the need for experimentation…theres a thought! back in a mo …or two!
