[Emphasis Added]
Mitsui O.S.K. Lines has not yet decided what it will do with its container ship when it returns to Japan this week, a company official said on Tuesday, after China rejected the vessel for “abnormal” radiation levels. …
Chinese authorities detected a maximum of 3.5 microsieverts per hour on MOL’s ship when it arrived at the port of Xiamen in eastern Fujian province last week, the company spokeswoman said. …

I wonder if this ship has some of that “pollen rain” from Tokyo fall onto it. The levels seem consistent with low level fallout contamination. There was report too of spinach (I think) that had fallout contamination just north of Tokyo.
It now seems likely that Japanese officials were lying about the yellow rain just being pollen. I wonder if it will happen again, winds are forecast to blow the mess towards Tokyo with rain as they shift back toward the ocean a day later.

All ships going across the Pacific and possibly other area can/may go through plumes of fall out or precipitation of radioactive materials gathered by falling rain.
The risk of crews and economic loss may be high even if cargo ships were clean before leaving loading port not from just Japan ports !
Concern: Is aircraft flying through areas of radiation being addressed ?
There have been reports of aircraft having been exposed to !
Fishing vessels in Pacific may want to take due care !

to Xdrfox and other fear-obsessed loonies
So far aircrafts and crews flying to and from Japan have not received any significant level of radioactivity.
Anyway when one flies at 10 000 m high, one does receive “cosmic” radioactivity and Fukushima is in all cases negligible, even though you do not want to accept that obvious fact and keep on psychotizing.
Radioactivity on top of the French Embassy in Tokyo is negligible. So I can’t see the point of all that fear-mongering BS in the USA.
In all cases Sarkozy is ready to fly to Japan quite soon but Obama did not dare swim in the GOM. That tells all.

What this article is saying is-Japan fix the contamination problem or keep your products on your own Island.
