US panel says changes needed at US nuclear plants
World Jul. 13, 2011
WASHINGTON — Calling the Japan nuclear disaster “unacceptable,” an expert task force convened by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission is saying that plants in the U.S. need better protections for rare, catastrophic events.
The series of recommendations, included in portions of the report obtained by The Associated Press on Tuesday, will redefine the level of protection at the nation’s 104 nuclear power plants after the worst nuclear disaster …

Another meeting, another panel, another study…another opportunity to wear a suit that day…another day to conspire.

japan radiation killing insects, molds and fungus?
http://www.godlikeproductions.com/forum1/message1560232/pg1
Actually, insects and fungus are not very sensitive to harmful effects of ionizing radiation. Cockroaches will be the dominate species in the wake of the decline of the apes on our planet. The reason is that they only have cell divisions about once a year.
actually ants are most resistant to ionizing radiation than cockroaches and i think that bodes well for reincarnation belivers!! lol
I did not know that arc. Interesting. The World will turn into an Ant and Roach Motel then.
Well they will have a feast toward the end !
Why don’t you say the insects are exposed to radiation so high that they are unable to handle.
Turns out the cockroach story is a bit of a myth. There are far more other creatures that are more resistant:

The cockroach, in comparison, is classified as a bit of wimp.
See? We LEARN and UNLEARN NEW STUFF EVERYDAY. It’s an ongoing learning experience for me! TY!
I read somewhere , years ago, that when we and all other living species are ‘wiped’ from the Earth, that there will be 2 left.
Cockroachs and Sharks…
This was well over 30 years ago, so don’t ask me where, I just thought of it when you mentioned roaches.
Wonder if Palmetto bugs which some call roaches will be in the mix.
When I lived in S. Miami in the late 70′s I read a piece in the Miami Herald that they had adapted so well from their local floral and fauna being taken over for condos/population that they were eating concrete in the condos.
Pretty wierd.
That is the very first sign of heavy contamination, you should either messure your back yard or start to evac.
The insects are shortlived and they wher consived early in the summer, remeber.
They have lived for aprx. 3-4 months and they are dying.
This is no good sign at all.
Read about Tjernobyl and note that even to this present day, insects are largly missing, in those areas that is still contaminated.
Spiders and wourms, all gone.
Remember me about a book title, the sceariest I can remeber, “the silent spring”.
I will recomend action, and do it, because you and/or fammily is in grave danger.
I have asked people to be aware of their imidiate surounding life, any change in it, ANY chang is a bad sign.
It means simply putt that the area you are in is Infact Heavyly contaminated, because it kills all the other creatures and plants(watch out for any change, even “positiv” change).
This is getting wours, feinds, and I fear that the severety regarded is not grave and lacks the seriousness ir reqires.
Start to plan evac and do it now. Time is becomed a essense, because you accumulate.

Pro-nuke bills in Senate

If you go to this link you can send free a fax to your senators and your representative to end the nuclear loan program.
I phoned and talked to Senator Udall’s staff member to oppose anything nuclear this morning. He is one of my senators and on the energy committee who will be voting tomoroww.
On one of the boards here, someone posted about miscarriages out West.
I wonder if the bird species locally there have been affected. Non fertility of eggs, etc.
I sure hope not, I love birds and bird watching and I’m sure there are alot of people on the Left Coast that also enjoy their presence.

Why is that pump they showed and said, pumping ?
I was out walking with friends tonight and we saw a bird that the woman thought was a mockingbird…I thought it was a robin. The robin had some red on its belly but large patches of white feathers on its neck, belly and face.
Mutation?
Eastern Canada here. Spiders, gnats all accounted for: honeybees occasionally present.
the patches were asymmetrical. I thought it might be a young bird that was moulting but cannot be sure.
Well its only a pinhole leak, Here is a easy solution for the problem. It will be good as new
