Bioaccumulation is real. If the levels of radiation are this high in bacteria alone it is telling of how larger species will suffer. I would also like to say that taking off your shoes and showering after exposure will do less good now. Bacteria is something that is very much a part of the human body and now that we can see how contaminated micro species are the time-span for how long humans have before effects are seen is shortening. When the kids go out to play in the dirt this is what they will bring home. The micro-biotic creatures will tell the tale of how the radiation becomes integrated into human health and food supply. Enjoy the show.

This form of bacteria might have been the oldest in record when the earth was revolving millions of years ago when being formed, when there was radiation and molten earths surface forming. I did see where this form of material is dangerous to animals and people online

Sometime find the book, "Creation's Tiny Mystery", by Robert Gentry.
He was ostracized for publishing research which showed evidence of nearly instantaneous creation of basement rock granite, based on polonium radiohalos. His work also indicated, if I remember right, that the granite formed never was hot, that it was formed cool. He was researching stability of geologic environments for the burial of nuclear waste.
He even found squashed circular radiohalos in coal samples, which were withing squashed radiohalos, showing the time of deposition and compaction, based on C-14, I think it was.

Is it possible –this is engineered bacteria? The link was taken down, but here is the information from google…

Just saying, its showing up in a lot of places..like seeded..but not a scientist or such so don't have a background on what is in the research. But when disasters strike, people/companies do out of sight emergency things they think may help–in desperation. For example, like the US Gulf Oil spill, when engineered or "research" bacteria were used by ?? to try and break down the oil. No one confessed but they were used.

Effective microorganisms in agriculture.
http://www.teraganix.com/Effective-Microorganisms-History-and-Availability-s/194.htm
In Dr. Gabriel Cousens’ book, Conscious Eating, pp. 809-814, he discusses EM (effective microorganisms) for healing the land and for healing cancer:
“it actually eats the pesticides and herbicides in the soil as part of its effective action, including highly toxic PCBs and dioxins…
“neutralizes the radiation in the soil so that the radioactive particles cannot be incorporated into the biological systems of plants, animals, and humans. There is also much evidence that EM(TradeMark) actually transmutes the radioactive materials so that they are no longer radioactive….
“One form of EM, called EMX, has been found to boost the immune system, neutralize free radicals, and move all toxins out the body. Its positive nuclear magnetic resonance effect builds the cells and repairs the DNA structure so that it operates optimally, and thus helps to improve function and enhance the rejuvenation process.”

Since the accident at Fukushima, I am somewhat skeptical of these claims. My understanding is that you CANNOT transmute radiation by any process. Japanese science has been severely called into question.

agreed, Anne. no magic bullets here.

I think of course it's highly likely that somewhere in this well-thought out, engineered Creation, the Creator left a back door for bioremediation of radionuclide contamination, probably even more than a few ways.
I think about this black stuff, however, it's more likely particulate fallout from burned up spent fuel, why should I not? Nothing in the news can be believed.
How the heck hard would it be for someone to get a picture of this from a stereoscopic binocular microscope? There ought to be one lying around an abandoned part of a town somewhere, already contaminated.
If this black material is not roof shingle sand, or uranium/plutonium cinder or ash, and it's supposed to be an engineered microbe, then is there any evidence of transmutation? Has anyone done any qualitative analysis of it at timed intervals?

If this organism survives on radiation it doesn't mean that it makes the radiation less harmful. It makes it easier to detect. Perhaps one wouldn't think of checking for radiation there on the street but the presence of the black cyanobacteria sort of indicates that there would be a high reading.
It's very strange that no one has come forward (there are many who know) to inform the general population about what the black mystery is. It is so unethical, scientists, journalists, doctors…everyone selling out for the degradation and suffering of the planet….I hope they have the intelligence to realize they are as much to blame as anyone…disgusting.

And some cyanobacteria produces TOXIC products..let alone the bioaccumulation of radioactive materials. Has anyone tested the "black" soil for toxins? According to Wikipedia – those toxins can not be boiled, bleached or filter out if in water or soils. Might be good to decide what impact (more than just radiation) this particular cyhanobacteria causes. For example, "Will it form algea mats (black, or blue/black colored) in water?" Hope someone is taking a serious look at this bacteria.
Report Comment
I hope so too. This is urgent. For heaven's sake how many biologists, bacteriologists, algaologists, fungologists, blackdustologists, are there available and how many experimentologists to design tests for this stuff (and any other things that might spring up in the presence of nnn mSv/Hr environments) ? ?? ??? ????

So far, from what I can tell, Minamisoma city council member Koichi Oyama is the only one to call it cyanobacteria, the other reports call it "dust."
At the risk of being superficial and offensive, isn't Koichi Oyama is really handsome? His delivery is even more charming than Gundersen's, lots of laughter. I read that he sent his wife and kids away, but he is staying in Minamisoma. I can't figure out Minamisoma's status, at least some of it is in the exclusion zone, but people are allowed to stay?
Anyway, back to the point, his description of the bacteria appears to be in the last video on this thread, but it is in Japanese? Could anyone understand it? Or did I miss something else?

Minamisoma City is only about 25 miles south of the reactor complex. I think this whole cyanobacteria story has a very high likelihood of being a misleader.
Why should someone not think it's the remains of spent fuel pool number four? Or any of the other pools?
All along, everybody official was lying about the reactors even having meltdowns, and outs.

I think ..perhaps ..it is a mixture of both.. synthetic microbes..and the dispersed contents of the reactors.
It was supposedly examined by a Dr.Suzuki from Tohoku Univ…I can not find a report.

Heart of the Rose,
You are brilliant! If it is Kenji Suzuki from the Institute for Materials Research, then his expertise is not in biological sciences, but nano metallic materials, the Materials Research Institute is a active proponent of the nuclear industry (I thought this bateria story smelled like the nuclear industry):
Materials Design Division
Nuclear Materials Engineering Materials Science and Develpment for Energy Security and Safety
As one of the expected solutions for the safe operation of nulc1ear power plants,as well as the global issues such as reduction in fossil fuel deposits and green house effect, the improvement of nuclear energy is indispensable. Based
on the motivations,we deal with the research and development of materials for fusion reactors and advanced fission reactors,as well as current LWRs. Applying transmission electron microscopy (HVEM,TEM-accelerator facility etc.), mechanical strength testing, laser ablations, first principle calculations and molecular dynamics calculations, we investigate materials degradation mechanism under irradiation, corrosion and hydrogenation in Fe-based alloys
and Zr-based alloys.

@ No Nukes..I believe in some areas they tried the synthetic microbes…and may present itself in some areas.
But what it is feeding on is black and magnetic.
Report Comment
Heart, why are we supposed to believe this, when all we have is the word of a nano metals guy (engineer?) who works for the nuclear industry?
To me, the cyanobacteria story sounds like some Marvel Comics 3.0 story the nuclear industry would come up with, it sounds like a cover story for magnetic/metallic nuclear fuel dust, they are suggesting that it is not fuel that they used, but some crazy bacteria.
This Institute for Materials Research is part of the "Japan Atomic Energy Agency," and are involved in nano technology and magnetic metals. So, at best, they are not a neutral party.
Actinide seems to be a euphemism for uranium and plutonium:
"In a fast neutron reactor, the minor actinides produced by neutron capture of uranium and plutonium can be used as fuel. Metal actinide fuel is typically an alloy of zirconium, uranium, plutonium and the minor actinides."
Also:
"Metal fuel
Metal fuels have the advantage of a much higher heat conductivity than oxide fuels but cannot survive equally high temperatures…Metal fuels have the potential for the highest fissile atom density. Metal fuels are normally alloyed, but some metal fuels have been made with pure uranium metal…Any of the aforementioned fuels can be made with plutonium and other actinides as part of a closed nuclear fuel cycle. Metal fuels have been used in water reactors and liquid metal fast breeder reactors"

What is of interest… is that Mr. Oyama is perpetuating this claim.
Is he being pressured?
Report Comment
I don't know. He did also claim that the iodine is coming from a process "over time," which implied that maybe it is somehow from last year, and not an indicator of current fission, which it is.
So maybe he is 0 for 2. Oyama is very handsome, I will say that again.

NoNukes, the bacteria story is questionable, but for all we know it might be some Godzilla-type mutated bacteria that thrives on radiation.
Report Comment
It could be bacteria and it could be magical fairy dust, too, but I'm not going to believe Mr. nano "metals" Atomic Energy Agency when he says that either. If this is the only guy calling what is quite likely nano-mox-uranium-plutonium dust "bacteria," offering little to no evidence, I'm not jumping on the Godzilla train just yet.
If it is nano nuclear dust, then that means the corium is producing "new" amounts of radioactive dust, if it is cyanobacteria, well then, they get to keep their "cold shutdown" narrative, and divert us with an exciting monster story of some hopeful experiment gone wrong, or an organic process beyond their control, which no one foresaw, etc., etc. It reduces the nano uranium-plutonium guys' culpability.
