This is a great video on topic.
Yes, congratulations to Australian Cannonball. Doing some quality work. http://australiancannonball.com/
Great work inside the truth.
Interesting to see BBC actually run a story that hints that maybe, just maybe, nuclear power has a downside.
As the UK ices the cake on its own mine nuclear renaissance and the likes of their much lauded “environmemtalist” moutpieces such as Monbiot destroys his own credibility to go to bat for the industry in the wake of the Fukushima disaster the BBC has been mostly compliant to its nuclear overlords.
This one must of slipped past an editor asleep at the switch.

Apollo Safety Responds to Increased Radiation Levels by Offering Civil Defense Radiological Survey Meters
After the nuclear catastrophe in Japan, U.S residents fear the possibility for similar events could happen here. Apollo Safety is now offering radiation detection devices to consumers.

Too bad they are only offering the useless CDV-717 survey meter, and CDV-750 dosimeter pens.
The only CDV model of any use to us, aside from a nuclear holocaust in our back yards, is the CDV-700 an actual Geiger Muller tube based counter.
The others use ionizing chambers, with a minimum reading level way above background.
A nice gesture, but useless nonetheless.

Sorry, this is a duplicate.
The doctor wonders why it took this long to state the obvious. Congrats to enenews for keeping the pressure on.
Now, if we can get the people of the world to band together to save the children and babies of the late, great country of Japan, the world will indeed be a better place.

“Before beginning construction at the Dai-Ichi site, Tepco lowered the cliff level by 25 meters (82 feet) from its 35 meter original height, spokesman Naoki Tsunoda said in a phone interview. According to the Tepco’s application for planning permission, the reactor buildings were built on bedrock 10 meters above sea level. That made it easier to bring equipment to the site by sea, but the effect was to lower the cliff below the level of the tsunami that struck the plant in March.”

A good article also about the history and politics that somehow got overseen.
***The model also shows that the accident could easily have had a much more devastating impact on the people of Tokyo. In the first days after the accident the wind was blowing out to sea, but on the afternoon of 14 March it turned back towards shore, bringing clouds of radioactive caesium-137 over a huge swathe of the country (see ‘Radioisotope reconstruction’). Where precipitation fell, along the country’s central mountain ranges and to the northwest of the plant, higher levels of radioactivity were later recorded in the soil; thankfully, the capital and other densely populated areas had dry weather. “There was a period when quite a high concentration went over Tokyo, but it didn’t rain,” says Stohl. “It could have been much worse.” ***

‘No radiation from Andhra truck accident’
Wednesday – Oct 26, 2011, 11:45am (GMT+5.5)
Mumbai – The Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) Tuesday said there has been no radioactive leakage from a container carrying uranium peroxide which met with an accident in Andhra Pradesh.
In a statement here, a DAE spokesperson said the truck was proceeding from Uranium Corp of India Ltd in Jaduguda, Jharkhand, to the Nuclear Fuel Complex in Hyderabad.

Real radiation threat is to young
By DENNIS RICHES

While Gerry Thomas admits that radiation can be very dangerous, the Oct. 9 article “Like Astro Boy, humans may be able to live with radiation” fails to elaborate on what these dangers might be in the context of the Fukushima accident.
http://www.japantimes.co.jp/text/rc20111023a6.html
“The findings on cancer patients give even less comfort to anyone who wants to have children. Thomas would be unqualified to work in her field if she didn’t know that fetuses, babies and children are extremely sensitive to radiation. I don’t know what motivates her to not mention this in the numerous occasions she has spoken in the media. It is a crucial point in the question of whether Fukushima will be a viable place to live, or whether people should be leaving the area now.”
thomas is a university proffessor with work done in the field of breast cancer…and entertainment programs/media
and here is a geraldine breakdown on this thread…for those that dont know what we are dealing with

thanks ac!!
about time shukman!!
Didn’t feel guilty about this then…. 14 March 2011
“Technicians are battling to stabilise a third reactor at a quake-stricken Japanese nuclear plant, which has been rocked by a second blast in three days.
The fuel rods inside reactor 2 at the Fukushima Daiichi plant have been fully exposed on two separate occasions, raising fears of a meltdown.
Seawater is being pumped into the reactor to try to stop the rods overheating and the authorities have asked the US for assistance in managing the crisis.David Shukman explains what is going on inside the plant, and assesses the potential risks from radiation.”
Quick breakdown of this early apologist bit of misinformation…bear in mind they show reactor 3 plutonium explosion and still say minimal release!!
“crucially though the containment is intact”
“shouldn’t be a leak”
Insert IAEA spokesperson …yukiya amano…then
“Reactor vessels and primary containment is intact” and says no massive release of radioactivity
And amano says the contamination was limited!!
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-pacific-12739184
What caught my attention is the statement about asking the US to help manage the crisis. This is the only time I have seen ANY mention of ANY involvment by the US. Brings to mind many questions.
good point….in fact very good point!! +100
Seeme like US officals ack like its not happning. Same with the scientists. I thought for sure there would be teams of the worlds brightest minds accending on the problem months ago. I was under the impression that Japan/Tepco were refusing help. Hummm…..
one word IAEA?? do you suppose and 147 big corporations have decided to turn fukushima/japan into a research facility… i think japan and tepco have no choice but to follow the money and tow the line!! my take on it!!
Exactly, if for nothing else to take advantage of the unique scientific environmental situation it provides. I agree with you 100%.
david shukman interviews a worker confidentially and only gets that statement?? any other questions come to mind or was shukman set up with this confidential interview…sounds a bit pr…
funny how the media has relaxed the info a tiny bit since the report by andreas stohl in norway…remember the fair and balansed “the most comprehensive report to date” ….(not!)
the pr war of fukushima has begun…
I did some research on recent events I believe are caused by or being made worse by radiation from fukushima. This is what I found:
Aquatic Research:
These cases I believe are being directly affected by Japan:
Walrus virus:
Countries affected: US
Cause: Unknown
http://www.alaskadispatch.com/article/walruses-suffer-similar-disease-afflicting-alaska-ringed-seals
Seal virus:
Countries affected: US, UK
Cause: Unknown
http://theweek.com/article/index/220398/the-mysterious-disease-killing-alaskan-sealsnbsp
This case is unrelated to either Chernobyl or Japan, but maybe being made worse from both:
Salmon virus:
Countries affected: US, Canada, Norway, Chile, British Columbia, various parts of Europe
Cause: Fish farms
http://online.wsj.com/article/SB124692462377703041.html
http://mbeconetwork.org/news_articles/lethal-atlantic-salmon-virus-found-in-wild-pacific-salmon/
Agricultural Research:
These cases are being affected by strange weather anomalies which are likely carrying radioactive particles:
Coffee bean crop failure:
Countries affected directly: Columbia, Vietnam, Philippines
Cause: Heavy rains
http://www.gmanews.tv/story/214314/business/rains-lift-world-coffee-prices-phl-follows-rise
Peanut crop failure:
Countries affected: US
Cause: Drought from hot summer

Vineyard failure:
Countries affected: Suffolk
Cause: Spring frosts
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-suffolk-15126073
Cauliflower crop failure:
Countries affected: Lincolnshire
Cause: Spring frosts

Paddy field failure:
Countries affected: Java
Cause: Dry season

Daunting list thats probably on the money…. heres possibly one more to add:
**Now, what caught my immediate attention was the fact that this anomalous, Arctic ozone hole opened suddenly in March and April and is undergoing a process of continuous expansion. For a systemically oriented global traumatologist, the obvious question is, “What happened suddenly in March of 2011? In March of 2011, Japan’s Fukushima Daiichi nuclear complex, suddenly underwent a series of highly radioactive explosions, meltdowns and melt-throughs which continue on to this day. Japanese investigative journalist Yoichi Shimatsu believes that this Japanese disaster has seriously impacted and may even have caused this sudden breach in the Earth’s protective ozone layer. (Mainichi ,Japan, October, 3, 2011 ).**
http://anngwyn.wisrville.org/2011/10/11/arctic-ozone-depletion/
**Since conditions leading to this unusually rapid ozone depletion are ongoing, it stands to reason that further depletion will continue.**
***If any of this information is valid, we need to acknowledge and prepare for our new reality of ongoing, irreversible climate change… and then conscientiously prepare for what may soon become a very different world.***
Good point anthony. If our o-zone layer goes, it leaves the entire world suseptible to harmful rays from the sun, solar flares, cmes, and the strange cloud were passing through in space currently (scientists still aren’t sure what its composed of). Even without all of our fancy machines and ‘expert’ scientists the Mayans just may have figured things out thousands of years ago.
If SHTF I’d recommend traveling south towards the equator, away from jet streams and cold/wet climates.
(Research cont)
Human Research:
Infant mortality rates:
Countries affected: US: 35% increase
Cause: Directly from radiation exposure
http://www.q13fox.com/news/kcpq-northwest-sees-35-infant-mortality-spike-postfukushima-20110617,0,5968165.story
Spikes in cancer rates:
Countries affected: US, Japan
Cause: Radiation exposure
Explanation: It was difficult to find any real number associated with cancer rates since March, or any other countries besides these 2 that are experiencing similar effects. Japan is estimated to have over 200,000 cases.

In the case of the States with nuclear power everywhere including west coast we don’t know if caused by Fuki, homegrown nuclear pollution or a combination of both.
Or even combination of various nuclear pollutants mixed with all the other crap from radiated forest fires to other pollution such as BP oil disaster and other pollutants right down to bleach and fluoride in drinking water.
Too true. Whatever the cause, they’ll all point to the same conclusion: the world needs to change.
At the end “the question now is weather the next generation will still want it [nuclear power].”
I can answer that … yes. Take a look at my video about the Japanese government radiation education forced onto Junior High students in Japan: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JeV0j06jAWA

they say “opinion is shifting even inside the plant itself” i think that was the first place opinion shifted! probably after the earthquake and tsunami when the reactors were completely out of control!
the bbc is just a sophisticated british version a post modern version of herr Goebbels Reich Minister of Public Enlightenment and Propaganda (Volksaufklärung und Propaganda).
always question what the angle is with the beeb.
the chatham house rothchild brigades are all over that organization.
comedy is about the only good thing they do today.
original drama and questioning journalism holding the government to account are non existent.
pointless shukman report giving the semblance of a report saying nothing.
chatham house is at the forefront of greasing palms too promote new build nuke plants in the uk also mox plant promotions.
the bbc are a fucking nwo puppet disgrace
They talk about building bigger tsunami walls, but the evidence is increasingly clear that the reactors were screwed BEFORE the tsunami hit.
http://www.nature.com/news/2011/111025/full/478435a.html
“xenon-133 began to vent from Fukushima Daiichi immediately after the quake, and before the tsunami swamped the area. This implies that even without the devastating flood, the earthquake alone was sufficient to cause damage at the plant.”
