Interview with Navy Lt. Steve Simmons who served on the USS Ronald Reagan for 3/11 relief mission, Nuclear Hotseat hosted by Libbe HaLevy, July 8, 2014 (emphasis added):

  • 21:30 in — November 2011 I noticed something was wrong… The black-out was the first thing… I started dealing with gastrointestinal issues, at first I thought I was coming down with a stomach bug… Fevers as high as 102.9°F… January 2012 was the first time I was hospitalized… [They] sent me home with a sinus infection. Three days later I was readmitted to the hospital because my lymph nodes were swelling… that’s when my legs buckled and the muscle weakness started to onset… it’s been ascending from legs, trunk, arms, hands… I can’t really use the muscles much at all. I’m down to about 20 lbs. of grip strength in my hands, which is barely functional… I do have to catheterize every 4 hours in order to empty the bladder. The migraines still get worse. The fevers still come and go, and they keep calling it a fever of unknown origin. My vitamin D is in the gutter, they just keep calling it an unspecified vitamin D deficiency… 2nd degree burns on my legs just from being out in the sun for 3 or 4 hours… that had never been a concern. Nobody can figure it out. I’ve been getting these rashes that come and go; they’ll go up my arms, my neck, around my eyes, back, stomach, legs. I deal with tremors and spasms… I am [in a wheelchair]… There’s days I don’t even get out of bed… for a long time I thought I was the only one. I had no idea there were other individuals that were even sick or dealing with ailments… Doctors wouldn’t tell us anything… I’ve had doctors tell me maybe you’re better off not knowing what you’re dealing with… You can’t have over 100 or 200 people sick, and one who has died last April, and say there is absolutely no health risk.
  • 35:00 in — Finding out that there’s more people that are sick, finding out there were some other individuals at Walter Reed [Hospital]… almost identical symptoms to what I was dealing with… they we’re told to be quiet, and next thing I know they’re, who knows where they’re at, nobody’s heard from them, nobody has seen them. I have a buddy at Walter Reed right now, whose going through the same exact thing, very similar to what I’m dealing with — maybe 6 months to a year behind on the symptoms… His wife would call my wife and my wife would explain what he could expect next and sure as anything that happens next… Him and I both had doctors who have actively tried to convince us that there’s physically nothing wrong and it’s all psychological… This is ridiculous… He’s also in a wheelchair and when he went to the clinic to get fitted for a wheelchair, this doctor told him that it’s all in his head, and he doesn’t need a wheelchair… This is uncalled for.
  • 46:00 in — We now realize how bad it was… the worst disaster in history, then it’s time to acknowledge the fact that, yeah there is a problem, and there are going to be some effects on human life… If the worst case happens, and some more folks pass — I would have to be naive to think that nobody else is going to pass away from this — it’s only a matter of time before there’s more lives lost. I would be lying if I don’t think every day that I’m going to be next because of how bad my health keeps going downhill.

  • We Not They Finally

The doctors telling him it's "psychological" when they totally know better, should have their medical licenses revoked and then have to face a barrage of public shame. They should be run out on a rail. Who cares about them protecting THEMSELVES? No one! Who f-ing CARES what they were told to not tell patients, or who told them, or if they were threatened with retaliation themselves? Really. NOT WORTH LIVING THAT WAY. If they cannot protect human life, or at least RESPECT human life more than to behave this way, then shame on them and banish them from medicine permanently.

      Hey We Not They!

Did you catch the Busby interview from soon after 3/11 where he talks of the post-earthquake visit to Japan by GE CEO Jeff Immelt … not to figure out a plan to secure the nuclear fuel, but how to distribute the tsunami waste to all corners of Japan, so as to contaminate any possible control population to do future epidemiology on the releases?

The power of this one company to force legions of doctors in Japan and USA to lie to their patients is truly shocking, is it not?

Remember, General Electric has always been majority controlled by the Morgan banking empire. It is really Morgan Electric, and the business is too big to govern.

Few businessmen, politicians or professors speaking out against GE.

What does it mean that they can force this technology on seismically active Japan, with lousy containment design (admission of GE three and several NRC dudes) and not be exposed to damages and get everyone (almost) in the press to divert attention away from the culprit, the murderer, the malefactor-in-chief?

Maybe I shouldn't complain so loudly about GE business practices.

Someone might find out what I'm up to and mess me up.

Oh well, guess I will take that chance.

GE sucks and they built the machines that have destroyed Japan.

Big money capitalism means you don't have to (are not allowed to) say, "Sorry," and you don't even have to care.

"Their problem;" "They bought our machines;" "Sucks to be Japanese;"

ned you are so right, those murderers from ge need to take some of that tax payer subsidies and tax breaks and fix japan. i urge everyone to never buy another ge product again until they stop trying to get out of liability for screwing up this planet.

      • mt1000

In modern times, the only time GE had to clean up its pile of stinking poo was when they were made to clean the Hudson River of their PCBs.
A big lawsuit by (rare) enviro legal team.
Maybe they can do it again.
        But probably way too late.

        • nedlifromvermont

          @mt1000: They did some clean up of PCB oils on the Housatonic River, downstream from their main transformer assembly operation at Pittsfield, Massachusetts;

          they mainly dragged their feet on the Hudson River clean up;

          For decades they stonewalled, covered up and diverted attention from the problem with PCBs; workers were exposed to the chemicals "up to their armpits" despite severe skin problems with chloracne and cancers, too … behavior they would employ in the 50's, 60's and 70's as far as the dangers of ionizing radiation released from their precious nuclear power program;

          The various governments, Pittsfield, Massachusetts, New York, Connecticut and federal, were loathe to attack a major regional employer with more money then God to litigate the issues;

          The history of litigation against massive corporations AT&T and IBM shows how corporations bury their adversaries in paperwork and employ armies of high paid lawyers to do their dirty work;

          And with all the powers of the press blaring (falsely) their innate goodness (secrets of propaganda learned from the master, Nazi leader Josef Goebbels);

          It is little wonder my truth campaign against GE seems a little quixotic;

          But the musical, "Man of La Mancha," has lots of good tunes, and Miguel Cervantes novel about landed squire, Don Quixote, sallying forth to uphold the honor of the downtrodden and fight corrupt powers that be is a fine story;

          The original modern novel;

          peace …

These are the classic signs of radiation-induced lymphomas – probably spreading into secondary metastatic cancers.
According to previous postings of their various symptoms, these Operation Tomodachi Navy kids received 200 REM or even substantially more.
Where are the Congressmen and Senators that should be helping these sailors?
Where is the Commander in Chief?
Has the US government completely rotted-out at every level from top to bottom? It certainly appears so.
Where is the US news media?
Is there anybody who gives a rat's ass anymore? This is a disgrace.

          • We Not They Finally

Once it's metastasized throughout the lymph system, there is nowhere in the body where it helps to operate. So they don't even tell the family that he has metastasized cancer? Even if they don't state the cause (and OF COURSE they know the cause!) they don't even say that much? The sailors risked their lives to go into the Navy at all and they are not even given that much?

Yeah, as you say, where is EVERYBODY on this? Total national disgrace.

            • mairs mairs

The nuclear industry, and military nuclear weapon producing capability, is more important to them than individual service men and women. A total disgrace, yes. And we can't do anything about it.

            • Johnny Blade Johnny Blade

@WNTF; Yeah I have been unable to shake the thought you brought up about how once cancer hits the lymph system surgery is not likely to have much value. I'm also on the verge of changing my mindset that held some hope for my wife beating her cancer(s) despite the removal of the breast & nine lymph nodes and the 2 years of remission that new symptoms signaled had ended our celebratory mood and hope for a cancer-free future. I guess we'll get the official word and details along with test results and their assessments & treatment plan when we go back to Oncology next week[?]!! 🙁 I didn't think we would "live happily ever after" considering the continuing presence of the nuclear crap from ALL sources including the ongoing releases from Fukushima/311-ELE that I KNOW caused hers to begin! Maybe there WAS once a balance that existed where the "normal" levels of nuclear contamination was tolerable and cancer rates were considered "manageable" or "an acceptable risk"? But NOW,there's NO WAY that this cumulative garbage being emitted from Fukushima and ALL of their leaky, claptrap nuke plants and waste has brought us to the point where 60% of the population will have cancer in their lifetimes and those in a fragile state of remission previously will now continue to be subjected to damaging radiation exposure that renders current treatments unsuccessful & nearly hopeless sans a Miracle from Above! Those claiming otherwise are either homicidal or fools! 🙁 ….

          • OldFool

These kids Must Stop Wasting Their Time on the US Navy medical quacks. There is very little time left for them, but some might be saved if they are properly treated for radiation-induced lymphomas and the secondary metastatic cancers.
If there are any Navy people reading this website – spread the word that they must Immediately go to civilian doctors to have any hope of survival. Anybody staying with the Navy Quacks is going to die for sure.

            • I'm a Marine Corps veteran and I tell current and former Marines that they all need to go to alternative doctors and get second opinions on everything they need to get looked at. Detoxing is a highly important one, being exposed to dozens of harmful vaccines, agen orange, and other chemicals. I make sure I tell them to avoid radioactive materials at all costs, don't take an assignment near highly radioactive areas. If they already have, they can detox with a few herbs, foods and natural zeolite powder, that will get a lot of the toxins/viruses out of their bodies. • I just commented to the EPA about their raising the allowable rad rule to 350. They extended the deadline for comment to August but –no surprise–the docket page where comment is officially sent is blank. So I sent it to Brian Littleton's email, which is on one of those pages as follows:

I wish to officially comment on proposed raising of radiation exposure rule.
Access to the comment form has disappeared from your site.
          My public comment:

Do not raise the allowable level of radiation to 350. There are no "safe" levels of radiation, as isotopes bio-accumulate in the body. Life on this planet evolved WITHOUT man made radiation. Radiation from x-ray machines in airports is bad enough. Nuclear disaster like the one in Japan is filling the earth with radioactive isotopes –cesium, strontium, even plutonium. Chernobyl was about all the planet can stand and now this proposal!
Are you insane? Stop doing the bidding of the nuclear industry and instead support the health of all Americans.
I repeat: don’t raise the allowable level of radiation to 350! It was already raised after the Fukushima meltdown. It must NOT be raised again!

This just goes to show you how ENENEWS has gotten under the skin of the "nuclear apes" (SP).

Yes we will flood the EPA with comments with sound science, facts and compassion for planet earth.

We fully understand that if these rules are put into effect there will be no turning the clock back, leaving the world in a perilous position to accept a slow death. This EPA decision, if passed, will be the nuclear manifesto of "murder by proxy".

I believe this EPA action is not about protecting the citizens of the US but protecting corporations from liability. It's all about the money.

I remember the reports of burning radioactive waste. That part was the most evil of all the news coming from Japan. Its one thing to build NPPs that fail, its another entirely nefarious thing to put that shit in the air so deliberately and intentionally in order to protect the industry from lawsuits looking for control groups. There are huge companies in our lives now, like GE and Monsanto, that need to be a reminder of what industry should NEVER do.

    • Archie

"The doctors are as corrupt and immoral as any other elite group who earn a lot of money fleecing the sheeple."

That ain't necessarily so. Navy doctors are like the mainstream media in that they have to do and say as they are told by who owns them, not voice their opinions and tell the truth. Big corporations own the media and the government owns military doctors. If any of these doctors DID what they felt was in the best interest of the patient instead of following orders they would be demoted, discilplined, and discharged. You can't quit the Navy but they can shit all over you.

      • nedlifromvermont

My pilot first cousin who flew tankers for the Navy gave me the term for this: It is called "the needs of the Navy."

Loose lips sink ships; truthful revelations would leave the reactor "poison factories" (so H. Caldicott) high and dry (so to speak) … i.e. shut down, turned off, awaiting decommissioning, as they should be!

      • We Not They Finally

That's undoubtedly true. Because there is nothing left of the inside of their consciences after they comply with this.

These are soldiers is the thinking or those are collateral damage… I think we also need to keep in mind that TEPCo was illegally testing MOX fuel and any litigation will have to point to that fact because the Reactor 3 which the nuclear detonation was the reactor that spread the most of this stuff around. One more example of Britain and the US violating nuclear non-proliferation treaties.

Dow chemical, makers of Agent Orange in the 1960's knew the original batches contained unnacceptable levels of highly the toxic carcinogen, 2,4,5T(dioxin) … They claimed if given six months to a year they could refine the industrial manufacturing process to lower the amount of the dangerous (to humans) ingredient by two to three orders of magnitude.

The military said, "No. Deliver all you can immediately. We need it NOW!!" Thus many needless cancers and dangers from the early runs of Agent Orange.

This info comes from a lecture by Prof. W. Smith at Yale School of Forestry in 1981 or 1982.

I have no reason to doubt Dr. Smith, but I'm sure others know more.

      • Thx, nedlifromvermont. A good lead. I'm from the generation that took to the streets to protest both the war AND agent orange. Then it started showing up in the forests and field areas around proposed housing developments – what are now called the exburbs. It is still very carcinogenic and considered one of those compounds, read tools, that is too central to agriculture to ban regardless of its toxicity, so it keeps getting reprieves from the axe by congress. I am glad to hear they toned it down. Sheesh. I will research this for my own curiosity.

Gov. grows corn GMO complete with insecticide in the eatable part, throws agent orange over that from the air, then feeds it to the troops. People like that would indeed deliberately subject these brave souls to horrible radiation only to attempt a possible rescue of their Plutonium producing reactors, then ignore their troops affected, with no or little help health wise; and remain moot to pleas for help. Imagine the costs to treat USS Reagan sailors from Daiichi fallout. Government strategy end game is dead men can't sue so delay lawsuits and treatments until costs come down to a manageable level with a few remaining survivors. Having ships sail in and choppers flying through fresh fallout is criminal. Just the same as background radiation levels they said except they couldn't drink or use the ship water supply because it was so radioactive. 'Documents Say Navy Knew Fukushima Dangerously Contaminated the USS Reagan'

"…Cunningham writes that transcribed conversations obtained through the Freedom of Information Act feature naval officials who acknowledge that even while 100 miles away from Fukushima, the Reagan’s readings “compared to just normal background [are] about 30 times what you would detect just on a normal air sample out to sea…”

"…Serious fallout was also apparently found on helicopters coming back from relief missions. One unnamed U.S. government expert is quoted in the Japan Focus article as saying:

At 100 meters away it (the helicopter) was reading 4 sieverts per hour. That is an astronomical number and it told me, what that number means to me, a trained person, is there is no water on the reactor cores and they are just melting down, there is nothing containing the release of radioactivity. It is an unmitigated, unshielded number. (Confidential communication, Sept. 17, 2012).

The transcript then contains discussion of health impacts that could come within a matter of “10 hours. It’s a thyroid issue…”

"…But one thing is certain: neither they nor the global community have been getting anything near the full truth about Fukushima."

Sadly, the exact same thing happened to the military first responders during Chernobyl. Actually, these men are lasting much longer… They must have had a little protection and decontamination… The military and firemen on the scene during Chernobyl died painfully within weeks–many people…
It's also scary when you know that these were strong, young individuals who were very fit and ready to handle physical challenges. Just think of how they would fare if they were not so healthy from the beginning…

I'm really sorry about this and really wish these sailors could detox under guidance of an environmental health expert. I'm sure it would help!

  • Lurkers, its time to help fight this travesty upon humanity.

    • bonsairebellion bonsairebellion

So I "lurk" a little … Working on my response to the EPA raising the permissible limits of radiation released in the environment. They are saying that their rational is:

" the understanding of radiation risk and dose to humans has advanced and new methodologies have been developed to calculate radiation doses"

Have any of us "non-mf's" written a solid response to this? I'm looking for a coordinated message that I can pass around. But I would enjoy a solid list of nasty sarcasm as well 🙂

      • I havent seen any response to that, it is so broad, so vague. They didn't even present their argument, just the hint that they have an argument.

Their presentation is like a lie out of the gate.

        • I'd like to see more people talk about their thorium mining plan also

        • bonsairebellion bonsairebellion

I'm thinking that they are increasing the limits for one or two reasons.

First being that there is an increase in global radiation from all the errors. When common leak amounts are combined with this new global reading, most recent limits cannot be met.

Second is that it lowers the expense of operation.

          • Yep, maybe scared too if one of the WIPP type dirty bombs goes off…an evacuation would be very bad press. Instead they tell people to stay in place, only beagles die from plutonium, dont worry, we got your back…….

Nuke is dying economically, they will try to fight anyway they can to save "their precious" <spoken like Gollum>

          • Wyakin Wyakin

            BSB-Follow your intuition and conscience.

In May 1998, the EPA concluded that there was "reasonable expectation" that the WIPP facility would contain the vast majority of the waste interred there. After just 16 years it has been proven wrong.

The EPA is again poised to enact a catastrophic administrative decision: raising the limits of acceptable radiation pollution regularly expelled from nuclear plants into neighboring populations.

The energy emblematic of the waste EPA is regulating, is a failed technology which is carbon intensive, produces highly toxic levels of unstorable waste lasting for hundred of thousands of years and releases toxins directly into surrounding communities.

Statistically significant cancer clusters ALREADY exist around all operating nuclear power plants. Nuclear power plants at the current discharge levels continuously leak invisible but deadly atmospheric and liquid toxins resulting in illness disproportionally affecting children, and women. Raising the limits will only raise the incidence of illness.

Toxic radiation consequences have been observable for decades. ICRP models have not and do not adequately address LLR, and the 2007 revisions still ignore the actual effects of LLR.

Look here for more useful information:

      • hahaha! good idea… understanding risk does nothing for the exposed individuals, or the plants that uptake the rads then pass up to the animals and into human bodies… bioaccumulated, fat lot of good calculations do … what is it they understand anyway?! that people will become ill more readily while they stand by calculating…

      • melting mermaid melting mermaid

Why don't they just come out of the closet and change their name to the GEPA because raising the limits only protects the corporations from LIABILITY, doesn't protect the environment and it certainly doesn't protect the people. And when are our service men going to realize who and what they are fighting for. Spreading democracy by freeing poorer countries of their natural resources isn't noble and brave, it's stealing. We are on the brink here, and still all they can think about is money. It's disgusting.

  • Breaks my heart. Some more about the S.S. Reagan in this Hanford article by Yoichi Shimatsu, about it's 18 month decontamination in Bremerton (wonder how those shipyard workers are now) and also how the waste got to Hanford.

"Reconnaissance helicopters roared back to the mother ship, which then carved an arc through the chill waters of the Liman Current. The pride of the U.S. Navy was fleeing the coast of Japan like a wounded whale from a shiver of hungry sharks."

"After flushing its pipes while transporting sailors’ cars to Alaska, the carrier was docked for decontamination and refitting along Bremerton’s “Carrier Row”. From early autumn 2011 until mid-March 2013, a period of 18 months, shipyard workers replaced irradiated air ducts, pumps, pipes, gaskets, hoses and electronic controls sensitive to radiation. The work gangs were ordered to prevent release of any contaminated liquid into Puget Sound in compliance with a prior Environmental Agency pollution complaint issued in 2010."

"There is no legal mandate to inform Washington State communities of passing reactor-toting barges because the Navy designates the cargo as “low level” waste. Local residents who are curious about these shipments will not find the route map posted at their docks or bridges, so here it is, courtesy of the Washington Physicians for Social Responsibility:
    “The route begins at….

    • cont….
“The route begins at the (Bremerton) Shipyard and goes though Rich Passage, past Restoration Point, and northerly though Puget Sound. The barge will then move west through the Strait of Juan De Fuca, past Cape Flattery, before turning south and going along the Washington Coast. As the barge makes its way to the mouth of the Columbia River it will not enter the area near the Olympic Coast National Marine Sanctuary known as the Area to Be Avoided. The barge will then go up the Columbia River following the regular shipping channel that is used for commercial cargo. The ocean tugs turn over the barge to river tugs on the lower Columbia. The river route passes through the navigation locks at the Bonneville, Dalles, John Day, and McCanry dams, until finally reaching the Port of Benton. “

The above is what we all have to look forward to when the EPA sells out for a second time since Fukushima.

Here is the first sell out…

    EPA Nukes Radiation Rules.
    Michael Collins July 12 2013

Every mother and father, every brother and sister should be mad as hell about everyone's quality of life and future being compromised by the color of money and nuclear power.

    • bonsairebellion bonsairebellion

Thanks for that Jebus. So in a nutshell the article shows that the standard protocol for the EPA is -when the limits are exceeded then the limits need to be raised …

      • Jebus Jebus

IMHO, It is strictly an Economic Policy Adjustment, without regard for the public safety that has already been compromised because of radionuclide contaminatio.

Kinda lets you know how much Fukushima is contaminating this planet.

Add it to the rest of the fifty years of Atoms for Everyone.

The result always equals the sum of the parts.

      • melting mermaid melting mermaid

It's kinda like the debt ceiling.

    • Dr. Anne Lee Tomlinson Maziar VanneV

I think what is happening, nuclear energy plants are closing because the technology is so expensive. So if they raise limits the owners can skimp on safety equipment, like adequate protection for workers, and the can stay in business. The workers should all quit and the government should shut them all down.

They were supposed to institute more safety rules after Fukushima. Instead of Fukushima being a lesson, they are ignoring everything. But maybe we have a chance because they extended the deadline for comments and we have our shill trying to get us not to comment.

      • Good point—rededicate to more comments at EPA

They sure are slow at posting.

      • bonsairebellion bonsairebellion

Well "things" like that have been here many times before .. I just grab the popcorn and get the old score board out ( 'newsers get laughs and cheers for the insults you write but you only get points when you beat them down with logic and facts).

But I agree on both counts, its a distraction from what really matters and what really matters is that we say to the EPA "No! I do not accept an increase risk of sickness and death for myself or any other living being to increase anyone's profit".

      • Jebus Jebus

Yep, it is the last hail mary, of the commercial nuclear power companys at the expense of nuclear worker and public safety.

        Always Lie About Radionuclide Activity

"as low as (is) reasonably achievable,"

        Think about that nuclear doublespeak…

      • Jebus Jebus

Here is how the Nuclear Rubberstamp Commission states it…

As defined in Title 10, Section 20.1003, of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR 20.1003), ALARA is an acronym for "as low as (is) reasonably achievable," which means making every reasonable effort to maintain exposures to ionizing radiation as far below the dose limits as practical, consistent with the purpose for which the licensed activity is undertaken, taking into account the state of technology, the economics of improvements in relation to state of technology, the economics of improvements in relation to benefits to the public health and safety, and other societal and socioeconomic considerations, and in relation to utilization of nuclear energy and licensed materials in the public interest.

You have to consider how much Fukushima fucked up everyone's baseline measurements, easily subtracted, and the sensitivity for the detection of individual radionuclides in every nuclear workplace.

        Think SHTF…

Your gonna need that geiger counter. Maybe even a scintillation counter, if these regulations go into effect.

The higher effective doses have already been here since 3/11.

The EPA is just being coerced into dictating that it is legal now…

Nuclear can not compete on a level playing field, ever…

        • bonsairebellion bonsairebellion

It seems to me that since the EPA hopes to increase the limits based on the " new methodologies have been developed to calculate radiation doses" statement. Then it must also be true that new technology for containing(not leaking as much) has been developed in the same time frame … well unless its more cost effective to increase the person-rem (I really hate that such a term exists).

I don't worry too much when they sporadically appear on a site to infest their madness since they seem powerless and ineffective due to their lack of real time strategies. I'm guessing their motivation is also tied into a narcissistic need to screech over and over, "I'm right, right, right! and you're wrong, wrong, wrong!".

People (perhaps rightfully) get very fired up when service men and women are involved in something like this. And that one day they will realize waging war with our technological knowledge is a crime against all life on earth. If they could use their skills to wage peace and save the planet that would really be something and it's probably our only hope and currently they are on the wrong side, but miracles do happen. Like Stock said, eventually we will reach a point of absurdity and hit the brakes, slam it into reverse and clean up this mess. Just takes a tiny little shift in paradigm from an age of plunder and pollution to one of reason and compassion and healing. No problem.

I haven't heard yet much about thyroid cancers for these sailors??.. I like to think they at least received proper potassium iodide dosages to save their thyroids!!

And if they did save their Thyroids, they still have a fighting chance!! The Thyroid can be the linchpin to your health…

I haven't read of thyroid diseases or the typical thyroid cancers and that's usually the first to go…

I still think they need to actively seek out help from environmental health/toxicology specialists. A lot of specialists had success with various protocols for patients on the front lines of Chernobyl–including seaweed treatments, high levels of alpha lipoic acid, melatonin, miso soup, etc., etc. Yes, sometimes the improvement in children exposed in Belarus, for example, was up to 80%!!

They need to go all out.

      • califnative califnative

Alasanon-there's information about the sailors health if you know where to look:

According to crew member Lindsay Cooper, radioactive snow fell on the ship after Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) deliberately released a cloud of radioactive steam from the power plant in order to relieve building pressure and prevent a meltdown.

The radiation plume mixed with freezing air over the Pacific Ocean, and created the snow, which dumped more than 400 tons of contaminated material into the ocean.

In her specific case, within two months her thyroid shut down. She was forced to end her military career due to health issues only five months after the disaster occurred. Lindsay explained that she would gain 60-70 pounds one month, then lose it the next. Additionally, her menstrual cycle lasts six months a time. "It's ruined me," she lamented.

Crew members are now beginning to experience serious long-term health issues due to their prolonged exposure to radiation. According to the crew's lawyer, Paul Garner, at least half of the 70 crew members listed in the lawsuit are suffering from various forms of cancer, including leukemia and testicular cancer.

Have the sailors and Mr. Bonner considered consulting with the legal team who represented the First Responders at 9/11???

They seemed to win their lawsuits and the similarity of the situation is unmistakeable!!

9/11. 3/11. I know. It's disturbing, but again, the first responders in an emergency take the hit without being warned or properly treated.

They should look into some consultation with the 9/11 plaintiffs and class action attorneys, the expert witnesses and the successful strategies they employed at that time!!-

This was done on purpose just like all the other recent so called accidents that are not accidents but part of the depopulation plan. We are literally living in AGENDA 21 and no matter how we rant and rave on here this plan has been in place for a very long time and I really don't think people are going to wake up in time. It's too late all ready, we all inhaled Pu so if that's true we're all dead any ways the world is dead. Should we just live are lives to the fullest and not worry about waking people up because if it is really this bad which it is then people should die happy and not worried on how their all being murdered. I just don't know anymore I haven't giving up hope but I know the reality in which we live and there's no looking back on a bright and happy future cause there isn't going to be one.

Remember the huge strawberries earlier this year ? Well I was at the local farmers market today and was checking out the produce…I saw cherries that were the size of golf balls…I asked where they were from, he said " not sure" …I am sure they weren't from here, our cherries aren't ready…..I usually carry my Inspector with me but didn't have it today…I watched people buying them and raving about the size…heads in the sand…

    • Those heads are buried in something much worse than sand.. Bending way over and all the way around…

Ignorance and denial is sooooo painful… as a life lesson..

    • Where do you live, Speedy? Here in Vancouver BC, Washington state and Okanagan Valley BC cherries are available and appear visually normal. You only need 23 millionths of a gram of plutonium injested to effect an eventual human mortality. I doubt your inspector could detect that. You need more sophisticated equipment then what you have to detect a harmful internal dose in food.

      • califnative califnative

Mark-are you actually justifying low dose radiation mutating our food supply???

      • Speedy

@ Mark. I'm from western NY, and I understand that my Inspector has it's limits, it is only one of the things I use to limit my exposure to radiation…The abnormal size is the real clue to – just walk away…If I had my counter I would have tested them and that always starts a conversation. I use those coversations to start a seed, make them think, send them here. I find fruits and veggies that read higher than background on a regular basis right next to a different variety that doesn't and use that to help make my choice. I know it doesn't prove that what I choose is safe but it's my way to limit my exposure.

    • califnative califnative

Speedy-I know! this is off topic but I'm seeing this as well in romaine, celery, also notice apple cores are deformed, broccoli has this two tone color and the flowers are mutated, enlarged. I hate watching this happen to us.

  • The military has traditional control over key info. They can hide much under the auspices of "national security". Those brave souls who insist often get a raw deal. No Crime Scene Investigation here, I'm afraid.

I wish the host of this show wasn't so ridiculously corny because her content is right on. Are you reading? Stop being such a clown. I want to forward this to people who. I know will stop listening as soon as they hear your little ditties. A little professionalism goes a long way in getting people to take you seriously. I find her really hard to listen to.

  • It was the American military that invented nuclear fission to transmute uranium into plutonium for bomb making.

  • So I find it hard to believe a nuclear powered vessel of a nuclear powers navy would not have sophisticated radiation detection equipment. One would assume the vessel would be suitably equipped for nuclear warfare. Over seventy years of nuclear research it's sad the script for dealing with radiation exposure includes paying a doctor to convince a victim it is all in his/her head. If American soldiers are treated like the Japanese radiation refugees, what do you think will happen when the next meltdown happens in USA?

  • Dick Shenary

The EPA might as well adopt a sliding scale for allowable radiation exposure. It just doesn't matter what the EPA determines is allowable or not because once the radionuclides are in the environment there is absolutely nothing they can do about it. I am not in favor of raising the limits but this does not mean that NPPs will become more lax about releases. Operating releases will continue to be about the same. It would be the accidental releases that is causing all the concern and the EPA is completely powerless to address that issue.

    • Sol Man

Low scale, or high scale, it won't matter as people drop.

    • humptydumpty humptydumpty

There IS something they can do about it — they can report it through the media so as to warn people. A higher allowable limit will make it even less likely that it already is, that they will report dangerous levels. Remember how many of the monitoring stations went down after 3/11? That revealed the true "powerlessness" of the EPA — or more aptly, their tendency to cover up the truth.

      • Sol Man

I have attempted to warn various people of the danger since the event and the largest percentage of them had no interest whatsoever.
So, even with warnings, it is like paddling up a waterfall.
This seems to be the sad reality.

“We've arranged a global civilization in which most crucial elements profoundly depend on science and technology. We have also arranged things so that almost no one understands science and technology. This is a prescription for disaster. We might get away with it for a while, but sooner or later this combustible mixture of ignorance and power is going to blow up in our faces.”

― Carl Sagan, The Demon-Haunted World: Science as a Candle in the Dark

The military nuclear genie is out of the bottle and the prostitute media, academia and hollywood will not be able to put it back. The loss of most of Japan as we know it will be the straw that breaks the nuclear camels’ back. In the mean time Canada and the United States are down wind and downstream. . .we are next. . . so it’s up to us to wake up as many loved ones, family and friends as we can and flood our elected officials with complaints and concerns until they do something or get voted out of Dodge.

Corporate greed and power madness is killing the planet. She needs our help and we’re the only country with the balls to do anything about it. It’s time to spin our caps, dig in and swing for the fence America because this is definitely humanity’s last ups.

About the EPA and the commenting.

I just spoke with an EPA rep. (Jessica) 1-877-378-5457, toll free, who stated that you can comment as many times as you want at the EPA link below. My mom is 95 and I've drafted a comment for her and will list her name, because she said; "I want to make damn sure my voice is heard".

Submit your comments, identified by Docket ID No. EPA-HQ-OAR-2013-0689

Even if you have commented once, you can post another comment, then another, as many as you want and hopefully each comment will be better crafted than the one before.

If there are 6,700 tweeters and 20,000 who visit this site were to comment twice, this would represent over 50,000 comments.

Lets stand together for our Constitutional right to Free Speech and make our voices heard. You only have until August 3 to comment.

The longer down the time line the easier it's going to to get to plan and puff under cover of the mess from Ukrainian and Japanese contamination. the crap monitoring systems and the lag to discovery all help the killer do his work. Nuke is for DEATH nothing else. Get used to it. Slowing deaths is doable. Stopping them is not.

One day after I "broke" the low quality troll story, and Before Its News picked up the story, now the Daily Sheeple has also come up with a government troll story. Check it out
