Exposed: Nuclear fuel rods inside wrecked Japan reactor as experts predict radioactive plume could reach U.S. TODAY, Daily Mail, March 18, 2011 at 8:09 am EST:
These pictures show overheating fuel rods exposed to the elements through a huge hole in the wall of a reactor building at the destroyed Fukushima nuclear plant.
Radiation is streaming into the atmosphere from the used uranium rods at reactor number four, after a 45ft deep storage pool designed to keep them stable boiled dry in a fire. …
The latest pictures show a whole wall missing from the building housing reactor number four. Inside, a green crane normally used to move spent fuel rods into the storage pool can be seen. The windpattens are quite stable and people should take ceare of them selfs, because the ongoing fallout will only cumulate, and every reading is just more to the allready contaminated soil. Dont forgett that.
Second the Great oceanic water ways(like the atospheric jet streams) is also a major player in this senario, and sofar no studies is been published, exept exream radiaton readings right outside Fukoshima. This is also something that will be a significand problem.
They can hide it for now, but as the catasrophe evolves, the fallout evolves, the consecvences will eventualy emerge.
Soner or later.
It will.

Tepco is criminally insane to allow this plant in full melt and criticality to stay open to the environment. When it ends it will be obvious they should have entombed the site under a mountain of sand right from the start. If the wind changes again Tokyo will be dirty bombed again with yellow rain from the fissions going on. Stupidest mess I have ever seen. Bury this thing now or it will bury Japan.
