Fairewinds board member Chiho Kaneko discussing her recent trip to northeastern Japan: One thing that some people are very concerned about is of course what’s going to happen to their own health.

Some people that I’ve met, they’ve experience already some kind of ill health just by simply living there.

I think a lot of people have this anxiety about what’s going to happen to them.

Those people are also concerned that they’re going to be sacrificed and forsaken ultimately, because apparently in Chernobyl, sort of the government suppressed the study that connects peoples sickness, illness to the radiation.

  • For absolutely certain, people are being 'sacrificed'. Any nuclear accident, there are going to be people suffering and worse from the radiation released both close in and thousands of miles away..

Any nuclear accident on the scale of TMI, Santa Susana, Chernobyl or Fukushima is a global disaster that will affect millions of people in the long term, not just a local short term incident.

Just the 2,400 nuclear weapons tested above ground resulted in 64 million casualties to date, and that count keeps going up, with no end to it, for the next 250,000 years.

Nuclear anything is lose, lose, lose forever.
