***BREAKING NEWS!***
SECRET BOMBSHELL REPORT RELEASED AND CONFIRMS EDISON KNEW OF MAJOR PROBLEMS AT SAN ONOFRE!!!
“’This is a bombshell,’ said Damon Moglen, energy and climate director for Friends of the Earth. ‘Edison clearly knew about design problems with the San Onofre replacement steam generators yet failed to take corrective action. Instead Edison gambled with the safety of millions of Southern Californians. It is inconceivable that the NRC would now give approval to restart these damaged reactors without the thorough, public review of a license amendment proceeding.’”

Radiation spewed from the San Onofre nuclear plant, and people had no clue, and have no idea how much radiation they've taken up.

Isn't Nuclear power just ducky? Jeff Immelt?? Just peachy!!!

GE and Jeff Immelt have nothing to do with San Onofre. Those responsible are Mitsubishi, Bechtel Power Corporation, and Southern California Edison.

“This week, a redacted version of a root cause analysis performed by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries of the San Onfore Unit 2 and Unit 3 replacement steam generators was released publicly for the first time. The report reads more like an apology than an analysis.
“the San Onofre nuclear power station, had a strict list of requirements for MHI during the design and manufacturing process, specifically created in order that the utility might justify not allowing the Nuclear Regulatory Commission to approve the designs and regulate the replacement process, by using the justifications allowed in 10 C.F.R 50.59[1] to claim that it was a “like for like” exchange. Most of these restrictions limited the external physical changes to a minimum by ordering MHI to design replacement steam generators which would fit within the same physical space, rather than inhibit multiple changes from being made to internal components. There is an age-old axiom about what kinds of beauty are only skin deep…”

Gambled and LOST, releasing deadly radiation…but even though Edison acted with premeditation…no criminal charges…no sanctions…just amend their license? Ummm.

What else is it "inconceivable" that the NRC might do? Or NOT do? We start with a self-regulating death industry, and it's "inconceivable" what they have ALREADY done or not done. But at least THIS issue is out in the open and public hearings must be pressed for.

Unplug Nuclear Power on March 11! Send the Nuke fat cats a signal. Spread the word.
March 7, 2013
"On March 11, people around the world will unite to send nuclear utility companies a strong message – we don't need nuclear power to keep our lights on! By boycotting grid-supplied electricity on that day, we will not only cost the utilities money, we will be declaring our independence from centralized, unsustainable electricity, including dangerous nuclear and dirty coal. Beyond Nuclear is proud to endorse, and participate in, this global act of solidarity…."
