How can this be happening again? It seems every five minutes there is another nuclear crisis.

I think it has been happening for a long time. Thanks to enenews, all these events are finally consolidated on one site for all the world to see….and thanks to devoted enenews readers and posters as well. The corporations can’t shut everybody up! At the enjoyable risk of sounding 60′s, “Power to the People!”

@ PoorDaddy Greetings P.D. from southern Kalifornia, You are right, it has been happening all along. Just Google Idaho Falls Nuclear Accident for much info about a little known but well documented accident at this reactor site in 1961. Have A good Day

Do you think the stuff being made airborne by the fire in Bitterroot Forest and/or the one by the Idaho National Laboratory could have made its way to southeastern WA? We have had strange symptoms all week that seem to be from breathing in some sort of irritant. Those fires are not that far from us at all, regardless of what the jet stream is doing.

Anybody living in that area or who can travel there with a Geiger counter would be interesting to see what the readings are day to day.
The EPA only tracks CO2 nowdays so us citizens have got to do it.

I would say ‘this stuff’ is becoming airborne and spreading and accumulating and… etc…

Chinese investments in an Idaho gold mine just one way the state hopes to revive its economy
Can a charismatic Taiwanese businessman, the entrepreneurial son of Russian immigrants and a North End couple who own a ghost town help revive the state’s economy? Butch Otter is counting on it.
… a professor at George Washington University in Washington, D.C., and an expert on the Chinese Communist Party, said Idaho should encourage both Chinese investment and immigration. The stronger ties the state makes will improve its opportunities with a nation that will have a growing influence over all of our lives.
But he cautioned against giving China control over molybdenum, cobalt, titanium and even gold.
“There’s nothing to fear but much to welcome about Chinese investment in Idaho,” said Shambaugh, who just returned from a year-long sabbatical there. “But we have to be careful in national security areas like strategic minerals.”
