The continued growth of the sinkhole has kept Texas Brine workers out of the sinkhole for fear of its instability.

“We were hoping to get onto the sinkhole to remove vegetation to get better access to the water and the surface, but we’re going to wait until we feel a little bit more comfortable,” Cranch said.

It has been confirmed that gas bubbles are present in the T’Loc Canal between Grand Bayou and Pierre Part. There is not enough concentration to pull samples, but observation monitoring will be done.

    By the way:
How many salt domes are in this area and how close?

lots and lots of salt domes from New Mexico to Mississipi, Texas, etc. other countries have them too, from this research you get a sense, from the surface work going on..just in the immeadiate, area..how many there are..

to see what mother nature might be up to.. this one connected many dots for me… which equaled.. get out of the way.. and if this geologist is correct, as I suspect she is, they had better quit putting flammables, in salt domes..

So there are lots of them.
        Are they concatenated?

It's a stupid idea to store liquids in salt domes.
If humans take a look at them thru the "glasses of lifetime" it's solid.
But – it isn't. It's a dynamic salt "blob" on it's way to the surface.
Of course – in geological dimension, but it's on the move!

I think, drilling adds volatility and a tiny crack
right in height of the aquifer will do it's work…

What does removing the vegetation accomplish? This is not a recreation lake. Keep yourselves safe as possible.

have to do a large area sonar as to how many an dhow big these salt domes are. I know if you look into the Gulf some are 20 to 50 miles wide

Sonar not only can give you a live look at the salt dome but it also can show you how big it is and what is going on inside the structure Mark

Any kind of tecnical imagery mankind developed is not able to get a clear picture. It's just a tecnical supported guess. The only sense we can trust is logic, that's it! And we have to learn about limitations of tecnical solutions or we don't find the way out of the fog of deception.

      Hope you understand my motivation.

harengus_acidophilus what is your answer as to finding out what is under the salt dome since you do not want a x ray or a sonar scan what is your thought about how to best see the whole dome and what it is doing.A drawing is not real is not factual and can not show anything but one persons opinion, that would not work.

People here are trying to come up with workable answers to a serious problem. We could have a nuclear detonation if the 1.5 million barrels of Butane explodes and fractures and totally ,melts the methane layer that is under the earths surface.

      It isn't that easy.

We don't get answers if we ask the wrong questions.

I'm searching for edible mushroms (e.g. my avatar, sparassis crispa), and I have several books about mushroms. The good ones contains drawings, the leeser ones showing photos.

In a drawing, you can highligt interesting points,
a photo can mislead, 'cause "it looks like"…

"you do not want a x ray or a sonar scan"
      I don't want "mirror fighting".
I don't want sterilize earth with x-rays, like you.
There is no miracle sonar which fits with a hole landscape.
Why you don't want to learn about the limitations
      of our "modern technology"?

"We could have a nuclear detonation" -> No way!
      This is fearmongering.

It IS a serious situation, and said, you're a trained professional,
but you arguing like a fear driven schoolboy with no clue.
Doesn't match. What is your motivation?
