Part 5 STORY: After returning from the exclusion zone, the crew goes to a testing site to be measured for radiation exposure. Later, Ian visits a nursery school located just outside of the 30km radiation zone, where the head teacher opens up about her fears for the children’s future. Finally, the children go out to play, but their conversation quickly turns shockingly real.

It's amazing the children remain so normal. Kids want to play, regardless of nuclear disasters, mine fields, war, etc!!….
I am glad that the school teacher takes the problem seriously!
The govt. needs to evacuate those people and compensate them.

I think the key is that they are simply too young to understand what it all means. They've been told that "there's too much radiation on the "roller" sliding board," but they have no idea what that actually means. They have no idea what it means for them–what it can do to them and to their futures.
It's all very pathetic and sad … and incomprehensible.

that's interesting, the nursery school teacher , after reading .9 uSv, states that the level is under the 1mSv limit set by the national government. they had changed it to 20mSv,/annum remember, straight after the big Fukup™. I suppose they can always raise it again if she registers 1.1 mSv. good to know she knows about hot particles and the difference exposure to them vs background radiation that the geiger counters measure. maybe we should draw politicians out of a hat full of the names of normal people, taken at random from the general population. could that be worse?
nice to see spectrometry testing their own food. I also wonder if this was in the USA would they ban local testing?
my understanding (limited though it is) is that those face masks dont stop the finer hot particles. (from Busby, theres a sweet spot size-wise for the nasty particles entering the lungs finer than these masks stop). sad to see it though – hides the lovely smiles.
that's something to consider, a psychologists study of the effect on these kids, the radiation BogeyMan, long term follow up TV series like 7-up. I'd call it 20mSv-up, or "our little Fukups™

I can't remember what site I had read it on but I heard/read that the Japanese Government had recalibrated all new detectors so that they were not reading properly.That they were reading a lower level then what was present to down play the radiation.Has anyone else read or heard about that story?? If this is true then people really need to be asking more questions and getting the real facts.I would like to see these same guys come in with their own detectors and do a comparison test to see if they get the same readings from both.I haven't watched the first four parts so I don't know if they might have used their own detectors too.Well either way this looks like it is only going to get worse there for the people.

Look at the lovely and loving faces of these children.
Little faces..not just in our "mind's eye"..but in front of our eyes.
These children..these very ones..and so many others..that need rescuing from the fate..that TEPCO and the Japanese government has in store for them.
I hope the scumbags that are doing this to the children hear this..

I wish the truth was easy to understand, but with Nuclear Death Machines, the truth can remain hidden and unseen for decades. We've arrived at that spot now in the USA after years of Nuke testing and fallout through the 80's.
We are now seeing the impact of these diabolical tests on generations of innocent children. The 'baby boomers' and those that followed have gotten sick in mass and as a result, in my opinion, this is the main reason our health care system has radically failed and will continue to fail.
And now… the landslide of medical issues and suffering really begins. The snowball is still at the top of the hill, but it's rolling a little bit faster every day.

That is one of the saddest things I have ever seen. Besides the health implications,the children have been robbed of their childhood. After working in nuclear power I was a special education teacher,so this really bothers me.
Om a technical level the fact that they have a sophisticated counter for their food at the school means they are not controlling the food supply before it reaches consumers.
The contaminated slide is a great example how impossible decontamination really is on a large scale. It is so hard to clean any surface than is not completely flat and non porous. Tell me again Tepco how you are going to decontaminate the plant and decommission it.
I hope this video gets out to the world, we need someone in the media (Rachel,Cenk) to give this the exposure it needs.
