Former Japan TV Announcer: Problems with internal organs after eating radioactive food — “I’m sorry to worry you for being sick”

Published: March 24th, 2013 at 5:34 pm ET

Tweets from former Fuji TV announcer Yukio Yamakawa on March 21, 2013 translated by Fukushima Diary:

I’m sorry to worry you for being sick a little while ago. Some people pointed out it was because I was consuming the agricultural products that I planted by myself. I think that is true. After 311, I thought Boso area (Chiba) [~250 km from Fukushima Daiichi] would definitely be contaminated too, but I kept on growing rice. As expected, radioactive material was detected from the products.

[…] I have been eating it for one year and a half. In a sense, it was an experiment on my own body. […]

Since 311, I’ve been observing my health condition. I’ve felt something wrong with the respiratory organs, the digestive organs and the circulatory organs, continuously and intermittently. I’m sure it was due to the home grown rice and vegetables at least partially. […]

Just the tip of the iceberg. There will come a time soon when it will take a strong stomach to read Enenews.

Interesting post, TBP. Now that I think of it, I'm seeing a lot of it, too.

They're not all on a diet.

I went to AGreenRoad blog for your piece on bananas, which I liked and thank you for. Unless the bananas are grown in a contaminated area, it is wrong to alarm people abut bananas. We especially NEED potassium these days because cesium replaces potassium in the system and, especially, attacks the heart muscle. Bananas, potatoes and carrots are amongst nature's highest sources of potassium. Fresh carrot juice alone would be a great protection, but if the carrots are grown in California, big problem. Most people don't know it, but bee pollen is also a great source of potassium (plus B vitamins.) But again, where is it gathered? It's like a jigsaw puzzle of hazards out there.

"Unless the bananas are grown in a contaminated area…"

Where would one find a 'non-contaminated' area, WNTF?

There are only degrees of less, but rising, radioactive contamination across the whole planet. Bio-accumulation sucks!

And more that the bananas, be very aware of any bio-magnification in what you're eating. Fish, beef, dairy are all at the top of a longer food chain. Turkey and chicken are somewhat lower, but full of GMO feed.

Maybe the vegetarians will live longer, after all.

It is time to stop wondering who will live longer than another, what eating regime or another will allow ME to live longer than YOU.

It is time, past time, to consider how the evolutionary process of the whole planet and it's abundant life forms might possibly survive.

We must change our ways of thinking.

In the U.S., as far as I know, the FDA is not testing food from Fukushima since the beginning of the meltdowns when they tested a small amount of fish.

From my understanding what the FDA did was to implement a program where they rely on Japan's reporting of radionuclides in food.

It goes like this…if Japan finds a product with high radiation, they will put it on a list, and the FDA will not allow the product to be imported.

So the FDA is relying on Japan's self-reporting.

Better than nothing but not exactly comprehensive.

From my research the FDA and EPA were more aggressive in their analysis and releasing of information in the 1990's and before.

Since then there appears to be much more censorship or lack of testing.

One interesting FDA document on radionuclides in food is this one from 1995-2006:

Cesium was only found in honey, but Strontium was found in many products.

    • moonshellblue moonshellblue

Perhaps that is one of many reasons our EPA raised the limit of cesium to 1200bq which is much more than Japan's limit at 120bq. Profit over public well being thus is part of the legacy of nuclear power. IMHO

For more on the food issue, check out Fukushima Fallout Awareness Network (FFAN) and the Silence Deafening site. Both on Facebook, SD on the web. Kimberly Roberson, the FFAN founder and author of SD, is a former Greenpeace activist, certified nutrition counselor (I think that's the title) and a fighter against nuclear with the ferocity of a mother bear (she has a small child). She was interviewed on last week's Nuclear Hotseat:

      • We Not They Finally

The EPA set a limit of TEN times more than the Japanese limit? That's insane. And yes, other counties have sent contaminated stuff (food, cars, etc.) BACK to Japan. It's shameful to have no protection here.

  • ftlt

Bananas are the "Blood fruit"… They should be boycotted for political reasons… Untold millions have suffered throughout the last century or more so we can have our fruit…

Banana corpo plantation monoculture is under attack from a variety of diseases that is killing all the trees… HAHAHAHA Good!!!!

I have not eaten bananas for decades now…

    Live good not better

  • Beyond Zero Point

And we must remember that one of the last thing's that fascist Hillary did , was signed agreement with Japan to continue the import of food stuff from Japan into the US. While the rest of the world has told Japan to F–K off

    • We Not They Finally

All we can really do (shy of sophisticated geiger counters) is to stay away from Japanese restaurants, West Coast (at the least) fish, and check labels. We had been drinking soymilk, then saw that one of the ingredients is carageenan, which is a seaweed derivative and we haven't a clue where the seaweed is from. It's dicey out there.

  • I did a pretty good educational post on Strontium, which packs a wicked 1-2 punch. It really is a type to be feared and avoided. It sticks in your bones.

    Seriously, read this one.

Yes, thank you for the post and the collection of info on your site.

A positive note for everyone. I recently read or made the connection between cancer, mold, radiation and the immune system. I called my mother who was recently diagnosed with cancer to share the information only to find that she had already began some homeopathic therapies including baking soda and a pinch of borax taken orally. After reading Stock's post and following to the article as well as several of the links, I gave her a call to share what I had read and let her know that I forwarded the link. She sounded great and was on her way back home with her sister. There were other things she was doing to attack the mold that was suspected to be causing the cancer and clean out her body, but was very interested to hear how the same compounds she is using also fight radiation.

Keep spreading the word, keep posting and reposting. the information will find it's way to the people who need it.

      Stock, thank you!

      • Auntie Nuke

Where did you read of that connection? Fascinating and it would be good to have a link to share.

Some of these are still controversial, But look for yourself.

" The United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported in its June 2006 report, 'Mold Prevention Strategies and Possible Health Effects in the Aftermath of Hurricanes and Major Floods,' that "excessive exposure to mold-contaminated materials can cause adverse health effects in susceptible persons regardless of the type of mold or the extent of contamination."[1] When mold spores are present in abnormally high quantities, they can present especially hazardous health risks to humans, including allergic reactions or poisoning by mycotoxins,[2] or causing fungal infection (mycosis)."

"It is thought[citation needed] that all molds may produce mycotoxins and thus all molds may be potentially toxic if large enough quantities are ingested, or the human becomes exposed to extreme quantities of mold. Mycotoxins are not produced all the time, but only under specific growing conditions. Mycotoxins are harmful or lethal to humans and animals only when exposure is high enough. Mycotoxins can be found on the mold spore and mold fragments, and therefore they can also be found on the substrate upon which the mold grows. Routes of entry for these insults can include ingestion, dermal exposure and inhalation. Some mycotoxins cause immune system responses that vary considerably, depending on the individual."

          • 16Penny 16Penny

"The duration of exposure, the frequency of exposure and the concentration of the insult (exposure) are elements in triggering immune system response. Aflatoxin is an example of a mycotoxin. It is a cancer-causing poison produced by certain fungi in or on foods and feeds, especially in field corn and peanuts.[20]

Originally, toxic effects from mold were thought to be the result of exposure to the mycotoxins of some mold species, such as Stachybotrys chartarum. However, studies are suggesting that the so-called toxic effects are actually the result of chronic activation of the immune system, leading to chronic inflammation.[citation needed] Studies indicate that up to 25% of the population have the genetic capability of experiencing chronic inflammation to mold exposure, but it's unknown how many actually experience such symptoms due to common misdiagnosis. "

So that was mold, cancer and immune system. There are many others out there and even some that contest the relationship.

Here is the Mold and radiation connection, compliments of NoNukes.

I have heard that. It would depend on the source. I would expect farm raised mushrooms to be less contaminated than wild which are exposed to atmospheric fallout and pull nutrients from contaminated topsoil. Not scientific, my insight and opinion.

As for the baking soda and Borax connection with cancer, fungus and radiation:

"Sodium bicarbonate: Used to alkalinize the urine after uranium intake, which protects the kidneys from uranium deposition. Oral or intravenous, take as needed to maintain alkaline urine. The intravenous formulation is 8.9%, 100 or 200 cc vials."

            "Health Effects of Boron
Due to their content of boron, borax and boric acid have basically the same health effects, with good antiseptic, antifungal, and antiviral properties but only mild antibacterial action. In plants as well as animals boron is essential for the integrity and function of cell walls, and the way signals are transmitted across membranes.
Boron is distributed throughout the body with the highest concentration in the parathyroid glands, followed by bones and dental enamel. It is essential for healthy bone and joint function, regulating the absorption and metabolism of calcium, magnesium and phosphorus through its influence on the parathyroid glands. With this boron is for the parathyroids what iodine is for the thyroid."

"The German cancer researcher Dr Paul-Gerhard Seeger has shown that cancer commonly starts with the deterioration of cell membranes. As boron is essential for cell membranes and boron deficiency widespread, this may be an important cause for the initiation of tumour growth. Boron compounds have anti-tumour properties and are "potent anti-osteoporotic, anti-inflammatory, hypolipemic, anti-coagulant and anti-neoplastic agents" "

              Link for above quotes:

and baking soda, cancer and fungus:

"(NaturalNews)The cancer industry is closing in on baking soda and beginning to do research in earnest about sodium bicarbonate and how it is a primary tool in the treatment of fungus. Cancer is a fungus, can be caused by a fungus, or is accompanied by late-stage fungal infections, and now the Mayo Clinic confirms this. They are not the first to say so though. Many, even from the official world of orthodox oncology, recognize the similarities of cancer and fungal infections, the decay that ties these two together in a dance that all too often ends in miserable death"

Like I was saying, I see a clear and definite connection and synergy with the treatment my mother chose. After talking to her, hearing her say she actually skipped while walking from the car to the house, and reading about how these compounds can effect the body, my eyes are open!

You can accuse me of trying to sell baking soda and borax if you want to but I assure you I will receive no financial benefit if you run out and buy up all of the stuff you can find. Really, I have no skin in the game other than to share the story and info.

One more, and I promise I am done.

"Specialists in throat and mouth cancer say that cancers can be red or white patches: any patch that appears randomly and is red or white in color could be a mouth cancer symptom. The white patches in the mouth are called leukoplakia and the red patches are called erythroplakia, which are pre-cancerous conditions. Though these red or white patches are not always cancerous, it could be the result of a fungal infection caused by Candida called thrush. Thrush will lead to a red patch that often bleeds after the white patch disappears. A small amount of this fungus lives in your mouth most of the time. It is usually kept in check by your immune system and other types of germs that also normally live in your mouth. However, when your immune system is weak, the fungus can grow."

Mark Sircus, a very good British holistic physician and an activist, recommends baking soda for cancer. I mean he STRONGLY recommends it, if anyone want to look up his work. It's also said to be a good idea to put a few handfuls of baking soda in the bathtub and it will neutralize at least some radionuclides. I don't understand the chemistry of it but maybe someone can research it.

contacts from the MS/MO River Westward are telling me of a strangely
frequent occurrence of sudden death in individuals who were thought to be healthy – also there appears to be a sharp increase in persons who are experiencing extreme pain, for what there is no relief – others have what is now commonly being labeled as "The Cough" – when confronted about these strange health issues, my comment refers them back to Fukushima 3/11 and when did most of these symptoms start displaying, to which they reply, how can you be so stupid, that is over and don't you know the the nuclear facility that went down is under control – Then to add insult to injury they ask where I keep my tin foil hat – heartbreaking – Einstein was right when he said the diff between genius and stupidity is genius has its limit

If the cost wasn't so prohibitive I would start acquiring the equipment to start radiation testing the food that we bring into the house. The problem is I know that I wouldn't be eating anything. You hear all the time that people need to increase the amount of fish and fresh product they eat, but I can't help but wonder how much radiation is in them. Even purchasing the "boxed" pre-battered fish from the grocery store I can't help but wonder.
