I had to chime in to this topic… Struck a chord…
Respiratory tract issues readily resolved with potent proteolytic enzyme.
I have effectively (most safely) used Bromelain (pineapple) enzyme
general immunity – – especially respiratory tract infections, colds, flu,
bronchitis (knock on wood) never personally on pneumonia.
It is anti-viral, a potent mucolytic and helps to clear
the chest during periods of profound illness.
I have notice significant respiratory tract issues
and lingering among general population.
I have not felt healthy and worry about
the topic and what I am seeing.
and feeling.

Hi guys,
I was wondering whether you could share any advice on cleaning contaminated surfaces.
I discovered that some part of my bathroom tiling is emitting radiation, up to 0.25mcSv/h, with peaks up to 0.37mcSv/h.
This is not the wall itself, I checked it from the other side and the radiation reading does not change compared to my usual background radiation, 0.09 to 0.13mcSv/h
I checked separately the objects and the furniture taking them out from the bathroom, they are clean. I checked also the part of the bathroom tiling that serves as a part of the shower and it is more like 0.16mcSv/h.
I guess that would be the contaminated air that came through the window, but what and when..?
Was not sure which discussion thread to use..
Thank you if you have any ideas, take care!

at least reduce the radiation, I guess that's impossible to eliminate it completely in domestic conditions, but I would like to stop having the average background of 0.18 mcSv/h.

Remediation after exposure is the best ANY of us can hope and pray for. I tried to believe 'it' could be avoided,…for about the fist month,…then reality set in.
How can 'we' remove the isotopes that we KNOW are getting in?
My best research says, baking soda, nascent iodine, magnesium oil and flakes, epsom salt, powdered MSM, and a good vaccum and/or heppa filter!

Picture of Skin Cancer
Excessive exposure to sunlight is the main cause of skin cancer. Sunlight contains ultraviolet (UV) rays that can alter the genetic material in skin cells, causing mutations. Sunlamps, tanning booths, and X-rays also generate UV rays that can damage skin and cause malignant cell mutations. Basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma have been linked to chronic sun exposure, typically in fair-skinned people who work outside. Melanoma is associated with infrequent but excessive sunbathing that causes scorching sunburn. One blistering sunburn during childhood appears to double a person's risk for developing melanoma later in life.

One of the oldest and most reliable treatments for skin cancer is
Tormentil root AKA Bloodroot
Decades of evidence prove the effectiveness. You can even buy it already prepared……sold as salve for dogs, go figure?!
http://blacksalveinfo.com/blacksalvemov.htm
Or, just go to the local grocery co-op and buy organic bloodroot already chopped up and dried for about $4.00 per ounce.
Boiled low for 45min, strain, cool and then I add it to my other facewash ingredients (lavender, euclyptus, camomile, selfheal, yarrow, marigold).
The warm tingle of the bloodroot is pleasantly ticklish on your skin.
This got rid of the purple spot on the tip of my nose………..
There's a quite famous man whom fled to Mexico to avoid being imprisoned for curing skin cancer in American citizens using Bloodroot.
Can ANYONE here name that hero?

Preparation for the collapse of SFP 4
Competitive Inhibition
The Noah family is preparing for the collapse of SFP4. We are preparing by boning up on basic bio-chemistry, namely the principle of "competitive inhibition". We are stocking up with supplements that work to fill cell receptors with competitive substances that inhibit the cellular absorption of radionuclides.
I would recommend that each family unit would consider doing the same.
For example to competitively inhibit the absorption of Strontium-90 which utilizes calcium channels, use the protein supplement inositol, as well as coral calcium. The Noah family has been using inositol, as a sleep aid for many years with complete safety. Taken 30 minutes before bed time, it will induce restful sleep as well as protecting cells from S-90.
Zinc works wonderfully well against radioactive iodine, it is a great addition to potassium iodine. Both competitively inhibit I-129 & I-131. We take zinc daily for protection as well as potassium iodine.

Does anyone know a good clay product for detox?
Terramin ion-min (California) and Australian Healing Clay (QLD) are both open mined much like this -> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PyNLFrY3bHI
Since Australia isn't immune from Fukushima radiation, I am not sure how wise to drink a stuff that are open mined.
They all say that their product is high quality etc but I don't know if I should trust it.
Do you think even if they are open mined, ion traps the nuclides so it won't harm us even if we drink it?
Any suggestions please?

andii,…GREAT question(s)! I have been laboring over that one myself! I went from "Edible Earth"-, to "Living Clay". It is far more expensive, unfortunately,…but the way it is 'recovered', milled, screened, etc,….won me over!
Still,…none of us can be certain of ANYTHING these days! So,…your concern is so very insightful! Freaking me out, this not knowing what is clean or NOT!
Found these two anecdotal facts on bentonite just now! Kinda cool!
It was used during the Balkan war of 1910 to reduce mortality from cholera among the soldiers from sixty to three percent. During World War II, Russian and French soldiers were given mandatory rations of mineral clay in their diet every day in order to avoid the spread of diarrhea which was ravaging other neighboring troops.
Mahatma Ghandi himself used healing clays in natural medicine for more than 25 years.
Parrots Eating Bentonite
Peruvian macaw parrots somehow know the benefits of the clay. They congregate on a an area on the main clay lick outside the Tambopata Research Center. Parrots are great wild fruit eaters, but at certain times of the year only poisonous fruit is available and this is when they land on the clay cliff. They eat the clay in the morning which will dispel the toxins in the poisonous fruit during the day.

Wow, thanks for the link to the great info on the healthful benefits of baking soda, and the importance of maintaining the right PH levels to resist or fight diseases, StillJill!
I was amazed to read the theory that fungus might either cause cancer or at least, appear in people who are fighting cancer, due to inhibited immune systems.
The connections are starting to become clear here. Did you see my posting last night on the Asahi TV thread showing mutated dandelions in Tokyo? I posted a link to a new study by researchers at the Imperial College in London that believes 70% of extinctions in animal and plant species is due to fungi!
Here's the link to the article I found about it:

Needless to say, based on this study and the information at the link you provided, it would benefit us all to learn more about anti-fungal diets and supplements and do more research into how making sure our PH levels are the right level for optimum health, and how baking soda can help…(I also love vinegar as I think it has similar healthful properties). Warning: Porcelain water storage vessels/dispensers from China may be highly radioactive. This is the type that holds about 2 1/2 gallons.
These water containers should not be on the market! This is on the order of selling tissue boxes full of Cobalt 60 at Bed, Bath, and Beyond, IMHO!
I just made the highly unpleasant discovery the porcelain water dispensers for bottled water I have are highly radioactive.
Gamma and Beta measurements are very high. Beta measured an average of .225 mSv/hr
It might even be higher than that; I quit testing after about two minutes.
This goes back to the distributor TODAY. Am taking my Geiger Counter (Inspector Extreme) with me today so I can show the distributor the measurements vs. background. He's a really nice and ethical man, who is deeply concerned about water purity. He's invested in his work, and I think he's likely to be very unhappy about this. I am! I've been drinking highly purified water for over a year, only to have it stored in radioactive vessels.
The other possibility is there's a lot of radiation in the water, and the vessel is absorbing it.
Will have to see how the vessels check out compared to new ones he has there, if they're from the same manufacturer.
Posting to Monitoring and Radiation Protection forums. If anyone knows of legal action that can be taken, or government enforcement measures that can be taken, please post here to let me know.

That's uSv not mSv. Sorry my mistake in my rush out the door today. Big difference but nonetheless 4-5 times normal backgound level. In the porcelain, and not from having absorbed radionuclides from water.

I have't seen Living Clay before, thank you StillJill.
I am seeking food from far places, even started to eat non-organic food
But beginning to think there are very little clean food available…
Although it's mined in CA, I'm more inclined to say this could be one of the better one I've seen since it looks a little more protected from the environment. I think even if some particles enter the mine, it will attach to the wall of the mine near the entrance….that's my logic. I think we live in a age, we can't afford to live cheaply (supplements, non-toxic food etc) especially if you have swallowed a red pill

I just picked up 4lbs of the RLE w/Bentonite for $8.99 at Tractor Supply- it's "food grade" for livestock & poultry, produced in B.C., Canada- not sure of production date. Have not yet tried it for internal cleanse/detox (though I've previously done so w/regular white DE- kinda hafta plan to, er… stay close to home the first few days
)- thought i might combine a little with baking soda in the tub first. Just occurred to me that it could possibly stain some surfaces or clog drains?
Guess I'll test it out and report back with results
Can Diatomaceous Earth work as an alternative to Zeolite for rad-detox? Better than nothing, or temporarily, anyhow?
Going to try making my own Colloidal Silver solution, maybe, if I have the right kind of silver wire. Anybody tried this? Sounds simple enough, or an interesting experiment at least.

Then,…somehow this article made it into my inbox.
I read it and sat there shaking for what seemed like hours.
The realization that if I could only 'get me' some of that USDA blood,…..I could cure my own body!
Mike Adams showed me that I didn't have to 'afford' this life giving blood,….he CHALLENGED me with the task OF MAKING MY OWN!
Challenge ACCEPTED!
Adversary vanquished!
Here's the 2 or 3 lines that got me!–"Think about it: Your blood bathes your cells in nutrients 24 hours a day. Blood not only brings vital nutrients to your cells; it also carries away metabolic waste products. It is the superhighway of nutrition and detoxification that reaches into (virtually) every organ and cell in your entire body.
It stands to reason, therefore, that altering your health outcome depends largely upon altering the composition of your blood. If you want to make someone really healthy for a short time, for example, you can give them blood from a healthy person. Research has already documented that when you take blood from people whose bodies prevent cancer and then inject that blood into people who are suffering from cancer, the anti-cancer benefits of the blood are immediately reflected in the cancer patient (through tumor shrinkage, for example). There is…
Report Comment
(through tumor shrinkage, for example). There is such a thing as anti-cancer blood. And if you eat an anti-cancer diet, you're making anti-cancer blood every single day.
I eat a very strong anti-cancer diet. Most vegans do, too. They could theoretically help heal cancer patients by simply giving them some of their blood. The anti-cancer effects would be immediate and powerful. The FDA, not surprisingly, prohibits you from selling your own blood as "medicine," so don't think you can make money by eating a healthy diet and then selling your blood for $1,000 / pint (although it might very well be worth that much in a truly free market).
The other limitation with this idea is that the benefits from receiving donated blood are short-lived. If the blood recipient does not alter his or her lifestyle in some meaningful way, the anti-cancer properties of the "healthy" blood will, within just a few days, be erased and overpowered by the blood that person is manufacturing on their own.

Altho it neglects to warn readers to avoid using products or foods from contaminated areas, this is the best advice I've found thusfar re mitigating radiation health risks:

I like that it cites studies. It links to purchasing option for supplements where you can price compare numerous brands. Headings: Fighting Radiation with Foods, with Vitamins & Minerals, with Herbs, Miscellaneous Substances, Other Radiation Detox Recommendations.
Also "Fighting Radiation and Chemical Pollutants w/ Foods, Herbs & Vitamins" by Steven Schechter, N.D. 1991 has well-researched info. For example, per a German experiment (which he footnotes):
With contaminated potatoes, hand or machine peeling removed 100 percent of the surface strontium-85 and cesium-137. Washing and brushing removed 70 to 98 percent of these isotopes. Soaking in water removed only 15 to 20 percent of contamination from carrots. Cooking removed 41 to 58 percent, while scraping and washing removed 98 percent of the radioisotopes. Washing and brushing removed 60 to 65 percent of the radioisotopes from cucumbers, and peeling removed 100 percent. Spinach and leeks were difficult to clean by these methods. Washing and brushing of apples removed 65 to 80 percent of the contamination, and peeling removed 100 percent.

0.3 mcSv is supposed to be the line you don't want to cross.
Report Comment
thnx for this info
Report Comment
Actually, 0.3 mcSv is no prob because:
1 Sv = about 100 rem.
less than 25 rem (or .25 Sv), dosed all at once, has no immediate effect
25-200 rems ( .25 to 2 Sv) produce nausea
200-1000 rems (2 to 10 Sv) = serious illness
1000+ rems (10 SV+) = fatal
1 milli Sv (mSv) = .1 rem
10 milli Sv= 1 hundredth of a Sv = 1 rem
1 micro Sv (uSv, aka mcSv) = .1 of a mrem
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sievert
If you get a reading of 1.3 mcSv per hour, that would be nearly 11 Sv per year which is less than background radiation.
Report Comment
Dont confuse micro and milli, there is no consistent way of using the "m"
at 1.3 microSv per hour should be quite concerned. That is 5 times background of which 2 milliSv per year is a good enough average estimate for background.
Forget rems and stick with microSv and clicks.

highlights from link above, part 1:
• Avoid foods contaminated with surface deposition, especially leafy vegetables and fruits such as raspberries, which are difficult to wash and food which rapidly bioaccumulates contamination, such as mushrooms and sea vegetables. Otherwise wash and peel vegetables (such as root crops, e.g. carrots, potatoes)
• Avoid foods subject to rapid secondary ingestion pathway contamination, e.g. forage – cow (sheep, goat) – milk (cheese) pathway. Use food products produced and/or packaged prior to plume passage whenever possible.
• Avoid exposure to surface ground contamination by staying indoors as much as possible.
• Cover garden sites with tarps prior to plume passage if time permits.
• Utilize greens grown in a greenhouse situation whenever possible.
• Due to filtering and/or diluting all subsurface water sources and most public drinking water, sources will remain relatively safe after most accidents.
• In the days after a nuclear accident, if you avoided inhalation of the passing plume and if you can avoid exposure to ground deposition, your principal pathway of exposure will be the ingestion pathway.

highlights from link above, part 2:
Know your bioaccumulators. If you can avoid the primary ingestion pathway, including foods such as leafy green vegetables, berries, broccoli and cauliflower contaminated with surface deposition (foliar contamination,) the principle ingestion exposure pathway would likely result from secondary contamination of the following foods which are quickly contaminated after a nuclear accident:
• milk and milk products
• cheese, including goat cheese
• tea, if not packaged and produced prior to plume passage
• sea vegetables
• mushrooms
• sheep and cattle grazing on contaminated forage
• shellfish
Remember that during and after a nuclear accident:
• It is safe to eat any food produced and packaged prior to the plume passage.
• Saltwater fish, due to the diluting effects of the ocean, accumulate much less fallout than fresh water species.
• Most underground and artesian water supplies will be relatively unaffected by fallout deposition.
• Most root vegetables, even if grown in contaminated soils, will not contain huge quantities of the most important short-lived radionuclide, 131I, which contaminates leafy green vegetables and the forage pathways immediately after a nuclear accident.
• Root vegetables may take up biologically available long-lived radionuclides such as 137Cs, but not in sufficient quantities to constitute an immediate health hazard.

Implementing life-protective strategies is a minor hassle, well worth it. Fighting like hell to get nukes shut down will make it easier to be merry. The antidote to despair is action, all the better w/ community. Activism is fun, an addictive high. Help organize an educational/motivational event (including entertainment and action measures like letter writing,) lobby, boycott, protest, occupy, strike and organize others to do all that. If nothing else, get someone to join you standing on a street corner during rush hours w/ a sign saying "Nukes are too big to fail, but they do. eneNews.com Shut down nukes!" Or pass out flyers in a heavy pedestrian passage (wearing a kind smile.) Take your pick. It's amazing what one person can do, and you'll feel good. You might just be the spark that inspires the ones who save the human species.
We need to revitalize the Nuclear Freeze. (Thousands of youngsters knocked on hundreds of thousands of doors educating/motivating and actually earned a meager living via donations while doing this meaningful work.)

I think the Freeze today is about as relevant as CND. The sheeple like their governments to have their nuclear toys, and the current situation shows that with total control of the media, they can get away with anything – even multiple meltdowns.
I think that whether its your philosophy or mine, we shall probably die around the same time. Meantime, I am comfortable with my situation.

It turns out that the situation is not nearly as dire as I had come to believe by reading this website. I consulted a very trusted genius scientist who helped me understand the math. Check out Wikipedia and scroll down for "SI multiples and conversions":
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sievert
You'll see that the levels of radiation that have reached other countries are miniscule. I'm not saying it's not unhealthy, and that there won't be thousands, maybe millions, of resulting cancers etc. But it's not nearly as dangerous as we'd thought. Even if unit 4 goes, it won't be the end of the world. So cheer up, wake up, and fight like hell to get all nukes shut down because they are all dangerous.
About unit 4, I'd been pushing for a team of international experts, but Halliburton and GE would jump in if there are profits to be snagged, which'd be more dangerous than the Japanese figuring it out for themselves.

To avoid unnecessary fear-mongering, do the math. That's all I'm saying. No need to take my word for it nor to consult a genius scientist to learn the difference between a milli Sievert and a micro Sievert. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sievert Maybe some people think exaggerating the danger will motivate people to get nukes shut down, but it sounds like it's actually causing some people posting here to give up. Nuclear war may end life on earth. Nuclear power is terrible and causes mucho cancer but it won't end life on earth, or even in the northern hemisphere, anytime soon even if unit 4 goes.

You might want to re-evaluate what 0.3 mcSv/h means to you (for internal radiation damage). That's all I'm going to say.

No one sent me. I don't use ICRP. 0.3mcSv/h internal I would not wish on anyone. The point is, tho, that .3 mcSv/h external is less than regular background radiation so, altho Fuku increased our background radiation dangers, it's not nearly as horrific (outside of Japan) as people leaving comments here are fearing, like Whoopie who says we'll ALL be goners in a decade. Before spreading panic about readings that are posted on the internet, take 10 minutes and check out what those readings mean: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sievert Then keep working like h to get all nukes shut down, and to get the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty ratified in the US, etc, before our fears become self-fulfilling. If people think it's too late when it isnt', it will become so.

You are talking as if radiation leak is happening only in Japan.
".3 mcSv/h external is less than regular background radiation"
Well, if that is your understanding then I suggest you research further into the subject. Little knowledge is dangerous.

Treatments for Nuclear Contamination
Apr-24-2012
Submitted by Paul de Burgh-Day for Salem-News.com
Dr. Mark Sircus, says it is unclear how far the impact of a meltdown might reach. In the US, communities plan for evacuation typically within 10 miles of a nuclear plant.
(TASMANIA, Aust) – It is too early to call everyone in North America to prepare for a radiation cloud streaming down radioactive particles from the accident in Japan. According to the media and government, America is not at risk due to radioactive fallout from the recent Japanese nuclear accidents in several reactors but that could change in a heartbeat as authorities race to combat the threat of multiple nuclear reactor meltdowns. Nuclear plant operators are working frantically to try to keep temperatures down in several reactors crippled by the earthquake and tsunami, wrecking at least two by dumping sea water into them in last-ditch efforts to …

"Dr." Sircus is an acupuncturist with an honorary title of doctor of Oriental medicine. http://director.imva.info/ He may offer some good health advice (I don't know) and he may be well-intentioned rather than trying to profit by fear-mongering, but he is no more qualified than we bloggers are to assess the impact of a meltdown. I don't appreciate exaggerated fear-mongering that causes people to panic and, in some cases, give up. I do appreciate the earnest sharing of info on this website.

Good day. Not sure where to post this. Good site listing radiation exposures from common sources:

Hope StillJill reads this. The best anti-inflammatory foods are onions and tumeric. I take tumeric tablets. Very cheap and works wonders. Hope this helps!! This is the yellow stuff is some curries…

Bless your ever lovin' heart!
I knew about the tumeric,…only since last month or so,…and just got some tablets. I also bought cumin and have cooked with it twice in the week I've had it.
Did not know onions were good. The good Lord must be looking out for me,….thank you sincerely friend!
A recipe I was going to try calls for two large onions. Guess I'll try it tomorrow, truly!
Keep suggestions coming please,…..you all have awesome knowledge,…and we're gonna need it!

Garlic is excellent to stop plaque build-up in your arteries, so that they can more effeciently spread the good effects of the above foods. The only side-effect of garlic and onions is impressive breath.

International parcels shipped from the US are all x-ray scanned, right? So if a package of negatively charged edible clays go through the scanner at the customs, would that make it positively charge and it becomes useless? Does anyone know the answer?
Oh, my head hurts (from thinking).

Apprently, UPS doesn't irradiate the parcels. Thank goodness.

Good for you andii,….I didn't know the answer. Your question still opens up a can of worms!
Gosh I hope and pray that it NOT change the clay's charge???

Hi StillJill,
Apparently so and it becomes harmful. Gosh, TPTB is obsessed with irradiating us in anyway they can!

Yes, it opens up a can of worms.
Somewhere in the above thread, they discuss about positively and negatively charged magnesium too. I didn't think of that before.
I know there are different types of magnesium e.g citrate, stearate etc but positve and negative is another level!!
