Gov’t to newly set safety limit for radioactive cesium in baby food National Nov. 25, 2011 – 06:48AM JST ( 16 )
TOKYO —
The Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare said Thursday that it will review its radioactivity safety limits on food and drink, classifying infant food such as formula in a new group.
The ministry currently sets radiation limits for five categories—drinking water, milk and dairy products, vegetables and grain, and other food items including meat, eggs and fish, NHK reported. The limit for radioactive cesium is 200 becquerels per kilogram for water, milk and dairy products, and 500 becquerels for the three other categories.
Under the new recommendations, there will now be four categories—water, milk, other food items and baby food, which will have its own category, NHK reported.
The ministry plans to reduce the cesium limits to around 1 millisievert per year from the current level of 5 millisieverts, NHK reported.

WHO SOWS THE WIND:
“a kidnapping in Niger, the uranium desert and its mines, the Elysium and Africa….a film which questions the reason of State, but also makes it possible to widen the current reflexions on the nuclear power through the economic issues, policies, environmental and medical of the extraction of uranium.
This thriller political is certainly a fiction, but the scenario is based, with regard to the radiological impact of the exploitation of uranium on the environment, on reports carried out by the laboratory of the CRIIRAD.
In December 2003, at the request of ONG AGHIR IN MAN, the CRIIRAD has indeed carried out a scientific expedition in Niger in order to inquire into the radiological impact of the activities of extraction of uranium led for more than 40 years by subsidiary companies of group AREVA. Although the material of measurement was confiscated by the authorities, this initial work and the studies carried out since in collaboration with AGHIR IN MAN and other ONG, allowed the CRIIRAD to highlight manifest radioactive pollution, in the area of the towns of Arlit and Akokan in particular (see list following page). The workers of the uranium mines are exposed to the radioactivity, but the contamination of the air, water, of the grounds, in the vicinity of the mines exposes actually the whole of the population to radiations. They are low dose, but which can with long having multiple medical consequences.
Per hour when the question of the nuclear power is invited in the center of the political debate, it is necessary to recall in particular that beyond the borders of the national territory, the extraction of uranium causes irremediable damage.”

A solar radiation storm is in progress around Earth. At the moment, the storm is classified as minor, which means it has little effect on our planet other than to disturb HF radio transmissions at high latitudes. Bigger effects, however, may be in the offing. The same explosion on Nov. 26th that caused the radiation storm also hurled a CME into space at about 930 km/s (2 million mph). According to analysts at the Goddard Space Weather Lab, the CME will reach Earth on Nov. 28th at 17:21 UT (+/- 7 hours).
The impact of the cloud could trigger a geomagnetic storm. Indeed, NOAA forecasters estimate a 58% chance of severe storming around the poles when the CME arrives. High-latitude sky watchers should be alert for auroras after nightfall on Monday.

I had a dream last night in which I was asking God to deliver us a wake up call in the form of an asteroid impact, a small one. I was asking for this and the last part of the dream was about what size this impact would be that would serve as a world-wide wake up call to humanity. The philosophy behind this request is to bring the world to the doorstep of world community and the realization that we all have this threat in common and must therefore ALL work together to survive it. A precursor to bringing all the worlds people together to finally rid this planet of the profiteers that gain from death, destruction, and the killing of the environment.
After that, there would be a overwhelming call for the end of ALL wars for profit and a cessation of the murdering of other countries people for profit and the babylonian agenda of world population control for the bankster oligarchy.
Just a few thoughts, but it was hot on the burned her this morning. Any thots?

German police battle with 1000s blocking nuke train
“….They are also angry that a pledged German phase-out of nuclear power, hastily agreed this year in the wake of the Fukushima disaster in Japan, will take another decade to implement.
“It’s like a friend telling you that he will stop smoking in 10 years,” said Jochen Stay, spokesman for the anti-nuclear body Ausgestrahlt (Radiated), which has mobilised protesters against the shipment.
“You are not going to congratulate them just yet.”
At the train’s final destination of Dannenberg, the 11 containers of waste are due to be unloaded onto trucks for the final 20-kilometre leg of the journey by road to the Gorleben storage facility on the River Elbe.
Organisers said about 23,000 protestors had gathered in Dannenberg, while police put the number at 8,000. About 20,000 police have been deployed along the train’s German route. “

Nuclear power goes rogue:
http://www.thedailybeast.com/newsweek/2011/11/27/post-fukushima-nuclear-power-changes-latitudes.html
As the full cost of the Fukushima nuclear accident continues to climb—Japanese officials now peg it at $64 billion or more—nuclear power’s future is literally headed south. Developed countries are slowing or shuttering their nuclear-power programs, while states to their south, in the world’s hotspots (think the Middle East and Far East), are pushing to build reactors of their own. Normally, this would lead to even more of a focus on nuclear safety and nonproliferation. Yet, given how nuclear-reactor sales have imploded in the world’s advanced economies, both these points have been trumped by nuclear supplier states’ desires to corner what reactor markets remain.
Certainly, nuclear sales opportunities are far less flush than they once were.
This spring, Germany permanently shut down eight of its reactors and pledged to shutter the rest by 2022. Shortly thereafter, the Italians voted overwhelmingly to keep their country nonnuclear. Switzerland and Spain followed suit, banning the construction of any new reactors. Then Japan’s prime minster killed his country’s plans to expand its reactor fleet, pledging to reduce Japan’s reliance on nuclear power dramatically. Taiwan’s president did the same. Now Mexico is sidelining construction of 10 reactors in favor of developing natural-gas-fired plants, and Belgium is toying with phasing its nuclear plants out, perhaps as early as 2015.

…Some countries are starting to address the waste disposal issue simply because they cannot put it off much longer. This is true of Britain, where “it’s just gone on for so long, and there’s so much of it,” said Ian Hore-Lacy, the head of communications for the World Nuclear Association, which is based in London.
Dr. Jennex of San Diego State said that in the United States, and to some extent around the world, “our reactors are getting pretty full, in terms of what they can store on site.”

Right now there are only a dozen of these in operation, and they’re all located in Plymouth, forming a rough semi-circle around the western perimeters of the Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station.
The twelve existing monitors are connected to a computer server that collects and stores the data and transmits it in real-time to a central location. That server is also located in Plymouth, in the Emergency Operations Center in Cedarville.

Hi mungo, Tacoma I don’t know, but StillJill said hi ca. 10 days ago. She’s moving and said she’ll be back here in a couple of weeks. She’s fine.

Good site to monitor air quality in any state:
http://www.airnow.gov/index.cfm?action=airnow.currentconditions&RegionID=5
I was checking all the states, and discovered that Miami, Florida went into the “Very Unhealthy” air on the mornings of 11/24 and 11/25.
The maps go in 20 minute increments, but if you look soon, you’ll see that Miami is still going into the “Unhealthy” air on 11/27 and 11/28.
Does anyone know what could be causing that?

I posted the above on 11/28 and now when you click the link it says this:
We apologize for the inconvenience but the FDEP Business Portal and on-line data searches are unavailable from Friday December 2 at 5:00PM through Sunday December 4 at 5:00PM for system maintenance. Please try our sites again later.

Hi Doc! Isn’t that strange? It went even worse into the “HAZARDOUS” air quality on November 25th!
I don’t think there are coal plants there.
Does anyone have any theories what it could be?

Don’t judge book by its cover
11/28/2011, they found out that rice distributor, Keibeimiyagi Association, used deceptive labeling on the origin of the rice.
They labelled Fukushima rice as Miyagi rice, they also labelled unchecked rice as Aomori rice or Miyagi rice.
They also found out that Kenbeimiyagi does not keep book accounting properly, they kept the transactions very unclear. It makes the traceability system of food meaningless, which violates the law …
