Today, my pick is Reactor 1, followed by Reactor 2. Reactor 1 shows the most activity and emissions post earthquake.
@Heart of the Rose Thank you! Daiini is active, look at clouds in previous videos..you see the flashes in them. That aint natural lightening folks, those are ions which are excited to a significant degree. And at night, some times you can see the glow..even a dome type glow once from Daiini direction on the TEPCO webcam. Good catch.

We see on liss that current seismic activity is at a growl. Future EQ activity, will likely, be depending on the length of time the pressure builds under the faults. Possible (6.0) +/-magnitude quake in the next 12 hours +/- .
The liss charts reflect the readings we saw earlier in the week prior to the rumblings that took place soon after.
In my opinion a sizeable seismic event will occur today. However I feel a much larger event will also take place within the next two weeks.(7.0+) around (march 18th – march 28th). Which I expect will create many many aftershocks as well.

There is interest in EQs in the webcam thread, because of the possible dramatic effect they could have on the melted down reactor cores and spent fuel pools.

Which I feel has much to do with the current situation taking place in fukushima. It is just as important for us to monitor the reactors, as it is for us to report concerning geoactivity in the area.
As I recall it was an earthquake and tsunami that got us to where we are today. Thus until the facility is able to withstand another large scale EQ, and Tsunami; Geological updates are important in references to realtime, and are not off topic.
If I see that the webcam is showing signs of a earthquake on the realtime video feed: I would report it here correct.

Shouldn't users also report when the planet is showing signs of a large scale earthquake here?
Being the circumstances with the reactor 4 sfp; I feel it is not only complimentary but necessary to monitor this activity, until the fuel pools are completely disassembled and have no detectable threat level in the EQ department…

On my look for today, I rank the activities as this:
Reactor 1 is very active with bubbling or emissions inside the tent.
Reacotr 2 shows two areas at each side of the building, one near R1 and one near R3.
Reactor 3 shows active fire between R3 and R4. The Stack for R3 shows lots of bubbling emissions on the R2 side.
Reactor 4 the side next to R3 is also showing emissions/bubbling.R3 show fires.
All the colors are green green green with yellow bubbling and swirling emissions. Still they photoshop/paste white covers on the reactors in TEPCO and TBS webcams. But with a little work, and pealing off, or improving pixels..it shows up to a certain extent. Really don't think seeing the full nuclear mess will make anyone feel better. Everyone needs to be in personal protection mode..everywhere any fallout can reach. And stay that way for a long long time..
No way to tell what the radiation level is, but since TEPCO says 160 some mSv/hr in R2..likely you see the same where the same level of colors are. Which is most of the reactors.
PS. One instrumented private boat is heading into the ocean contamination on purpose, from the Pacific islands towards the USA. Brave boat and crew.
Ranking Reactor 1 the worst emission location today as the hotspot infront of the R1 in the webcam is showing red and orange/yellow emissions. But Reactor 2 is close. No "fog" seen..so steaming event is not happening right now.
Nuckelchen, Jec and Heart I'm happy to see others documenting the fires. I've been busy and not able lately, and I think my style was wearing on folks enough that it wasn't effective – thanks.

Reactor 2…always deceptive..the hole is toward the sea…but looking above reactor 2..heavy emissions.

Reactor 4..heavy emissions..beween 2 and 3 ..and 3 and 4..also involved.
With no major explosion at 2 methinks..(although there WAS an explosion)…2 and 4 went off together…more of a melt situation…lots of melted fuel…known as corium.

TEPCO red emissions/?? at base and side of Reactor 2. TBS is all dark and dim..but you can see the red color at Reactor 2. Todays JEC projection of what to keep eyes on:
#1 Reactor 2, then Reactor 1, Reactor 3, Reactor 4(and only because no shake shake shake yet).
Winds off coast carry radiation to oceans today, and there is an increase in fog/steam from Fukushima 1. BUT is there a relationship to the steam/emissions and wind direction? Is it possible TEPCO could be releasing more emissions BECAUSE the winds are going offshore? Would be an interesting relationship..and not good for USA, AU, CA or any other countries in the fallout paths. Look at the webcam, and the wind directions, what is the thought StillJill, James2, Nuckelchen, Wotcha, Heart of the Rose, Pure Water?
Of course they are. As I said in the other thread – they've recognized they will die and their country will die if the radiation is left in place.
So they are attempting to disburse it as widely as possible. Unless other countries take off their blinders and intervene – it's all going into the air and the ocean.

Which I feel has much to do with the current situation taking place in fukushima. It is just as important for us to monitor the reactors, as it is for us to report concerning geoactivity in the area.
As I recall it was an earthquake and tsunami that got us to where we are today. Thus until the facility is able to withstand another large scale EQ, and Tsunami; Geological updates are important in references to realtime, and are not off topic.
If I see that the webcam is showing signs of a earthquake on the realtime video feed: I would report it here correct.
So…
Shouldn't users also report when the planet is showing signs of a large scale earthquake here?
Being the circumstances with the reactor 4 sfp; I feel it is not only complimentary but necessary to monitor this activity, until the fuel pools are completely disassembled and have no detectable threat level in the EQ department…

i'm a member on the german physicboard and i know that i'm faster and better get informated by my own searched links then on such sides.
so i had felt myself generously when i posted there some updates for their delayed informations…

On my look for today, I rank the activities as this:
Reactor 1 is very active with bubbling or emissions inside the tent.
Reacotr 2 shows two areas at each side of the building, one near R1 and one near R3.
Reactor 3 shows active fire between R3 and R4. The Stack for R3 shows lots of bubbling emissions on the R2 side.
Reactor 4 the side next to R3 is also showing emissions/bubbling.R3 show fires.
All the colors are green green green with yellow bubbling and swirling emissions. Still they photoshop/paste white covers on the reactors in TEPCO and TBS webcams. But with a little work, and pealing off, or improving pixels..it shows up to a certain extent. Really don't think seeing the full nuclear mess will make anyone feel better. Everyone needs to be in personal protection mode..everywhere any fallout can reach. And stay that way for a long long time..
No way to tell what the radiation level is, but since TEPCO says 160 some mSv/hr in R2..likely you see the same where the same level of colors are. Which is most of the reactors.
PS. One instrumented private boat is heading into the ocean contamination on purpose, from the Pacific islands towards the USA. Brave boat and crew.

Ranking Reactor 1 the worst emission location today as the hotspot infront of the R1 in the webcam is showing red and orange/yellow emissions. But Reactor 2 is close. No "fog" seen..so steaming event is not happening right now.

Reactor I..the tent is hiding the structural disinitegration..
Umm..the radiactive activity between the inside and outside..is getting a bit blurred..if you know what I mean.
Reactor 2…always deceptive..the hole is toward the sea…but looking above reactor 2..heavy emissions.
Reactor..3 whoooof…and fire…near the stack.
Reactor 4..heavy emissions..beween 2 and 3 ..and 3 and 4..also involved.
With no major explosion at 2 methinks..(although there WAS an explosion)…2 and 4 went off together…more of a melt situation…lots of melted fuel…known as corium.
160 mSv/hr…wowsers..

first idea:
to make a timelapse from tonights record and make it black/white or/and greystyled, to have a look on the fronted windowspot of reactor 1.
because the light is a "lense-flare",inputted to cover-up the gas-emession from that window.
the colorspot will be visible in bl/w but i will hope to see some strucktures in it.
next good idea takes three minutes….okay, done:
an edited snapshoot from tepcam.
above reactor nr 2 you see in the middle a silky black flat.
that is covered steam.

then you can see blurry parts right sided reactor 2 foot area, a signe of steamy activitys
and what is radiation?
there are more then 4.500 nuclides known by the public, there will be much more in the dark cornesr of the lobby at all.
it will be much perfider then 1974 in seallafield.after the public had checked out the left radiation they changed only some parts in their rezeptures……..result=2012 north and eastsea is a high-radiationsoup, more deeper you go- more glower you shine.
overground we have levels like on fukuground.

Dear Nuck, it is about one of your previous posts – you gain nothing from reading comments from people who endlessly scratch their egos. Their forums are made for this! Dear Heart, I did not mean to isult you! May be it were my own feelings when I tried to ask a former friend about Fukushima and I stumbled upon … a banana (and all the rest -plane flights, radon, K, sleeping next to somebody…). Scientist, who has deteriorated so deeply, speaking the same stupid propaganda from SMS! They are all of them instructed what arguments to use, and they speak like one. My own disgust was so deep, that I will never dare to speak with people from nuclear academic circles. And this person may be still have the hot particles from Chernobyl, and lives in a more dangerous area than me! That is why I avoid contacts with people from the industry. Bitter personal experiance. It was me, not you or Takoma.

TEPCO red emissions/?? at base and side of Reactor 2. TBS is all dark and dim..but you can see the red color at Reactor 2. Todays JEC projection of what to keep eyes on:
#1 Reactor 2, then Reactor 1, Reactor 3, Reactor 4(and only because no shake shake shake yet).

Winds off coast carry radiation to oceans today, and there is an increase in fog/steam from Fukushima 1. BUT is there a relationship to the steam/emissions and wind direction? Is it possible TEPCO could be releasing more emissions BECAUSE the winds are going offshore? Would be an interesting relationship..and not good for USA, AU, CA or any other countries in the fallout paths. Look at the webcam, and the wind directions, what is the thought StillJill, James2, Nuckelchen, Wotcha, Heart of the Rose, Pure Water?

Of course they are. As I said in the other thread – they've recognized they will die and their country will die if the radiation is left in place.
So they are attempting to disburse it as widely as possible. Unless other countries take off their blinders and intervene – it's all going into the air and the ocean.
And that means California and BC and maybe half the US will be as uninhabitable as Fukushima pretty soon.
This is intentional. It's been obvious for six months. The dumbazzes in the US and Canadian governments are too busy trying to cover it up and save their own nuclear revenue stream to recognize what's going on.
