Excellent video capture Wotcha! Notice the steam/smoke is blowing left to right, but the cloud cover above is blowing the opposite direction!! I think this is coming from reactors 5 & 6.

good catch! That first video shows Reactor 1 event –look at the left side of the Reactor 1 tent. And then..more emissions..HIGH emissions stream in the higher atmosphere..going right to left..Daiini?..or the Common Fuel area..That fog is not natural…

Sure looked like major steam event at 1 am and 4 am; the camera now is all fogged out. Can hardly see anything. This seems more like fog. Checked recent earthquakes times, and they do not appear to be related.

The foreground plants..are just amazing. They grow over night HUGE frons and leaves. They seem to grow in specific areas just to "shade" the hotspots–or the light "show". SO yes, the plants will grow back overnight. Not sure if they are going to spray paint them green like they did for the grasses around Fukushima. Guess we can watch for the "spring green" color to arrive..???

Looks like an early morning 'steam bath', starting about 8.15 JST. Again, it's blowing in from left to right. Reactors 5/6 are to the left of R1 so am wondering if they are ok, or maybe it's caused by R1's migrated corium now hitting groundwater?

I also noticed a nasty-looking flash/light at 2.06 just near base of vent stack2. And the workers are carrying on using the cranes – what a hellish place to work in.

SP: If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, then it must be a duck. In this case…Peking duck (aka China Syndrome). Their announcement they were going to bleed out the buildings to the ocean made me think they may get more than they bargained for from the triplet coriums.

TBS/JNN webcam view is criminally misleading. TEPCO has posted up a PICTURE of Fukushima–then when you click on the GO link..the webcam shows BLACK. So, TEPCO expects people to just look at the innocent looking photo.and think its a live feed. Since people use the cams to determine their safety levels..and to know when to stay inside (no one else seems to warn them)…its a dangerous image to post. Just leave it black or foggy or ?? Mr. TEPCOman–dont add more harm…

It is very possible reactor 5 or 6 has released a large amount of convection. The reactor 1 now has a pinkish glow to it. So I assume it has taken a corium bath. I do not believe this is an artifact of corium from reactor 1. Due to the events minimal occurrence. Once the corium hits the water table, gamma radiation will be too high for the robotic cranes to receive their instruction / signals.
So I am under the impression, that the reactor 5 or 6, had an incident of low coolant in their spent fuel pools. Again. If the reactors had a melt-through, high levels of gamma radiation would make working near site impossible, so we are likely looking at the pool convecting to a dangerous level, As the nuclear fuel had likely turned 2 tons of water directly into steam from 8 am – 11 am… This is an artifact of fuel rods in the pool going critical. It is likely that boron had been added into the cooling to halt the nuclear chain reactions occurring on site today.
That is my thoughts on the incidents that occurred today.
I wonder if boron can account for the pinkish color on R1 at the present moment?

This is the place of the well known crack from the beggining of the disaster. If you watch the posted links from several days before today, you will see steam coming from behind. It may have many origins. My suggestion is a new crack behind R1. We need all the spectrum of suggestions, as the information comes so distorted.

I am concerned .. I live in a CA valley known for fog .. it's actually a shithole place for air quality for many reasons. Anyway I grew up in unpredicatable weird fog conditions (not related to being close to ocean) called tule fog.
First .. from tepco fuku1 cam hill above sea level to reactors which are at approximate sea level is how many feet/meters? 35 comes to mind but don't know meters/feet. Anyway since our tepco workers are seen going up and down the stairs @ R1 it's not huge.
So fog that never rises higher than that and only blocks out the reactors and towers and cranes but never goes over that height of the edge where the lampost or pipes are in foreground is odd to me .. even tho I have lived with the idiosyncrancies of low laying blinding tule fog.
Second I have mentioned I am techno challenged and my i'net connect is only thru my cell now so can't watch live feeds .. but can occasionally catch the Daiichi Ustream view from the farm sanctuary cam. That whole valley view was pretty much "fogged out" all day. I mean almost nothing. Never seen that before; even when crane/tower skyline was fuzzed out. But the cow view pasture was hazy but not socked in.
There is a serious hotspot at the base of far right tower (or second tower) in Tepco cam view. We have seen the little black cranes working there and recently a bigger crane working there. It is also close to the sparkles showers that always get edited from Fuku1 archives are. (More going too…

I watched the archives several times today and IMO it wasn't just fog even tho there was some fogs and grays and showers which always seem to make Fuku look very ugly.
There is some kind of breach there. Is it an infamous roving corium/steam or is it serious blowouts of water recycling lines which also apparently criss cross there (there is a better map of those lines on Tepco page; I will go back and get the link).
So to fellow watchers .. sigh .. I think Tepco has another big problem. And whatever keeps blowing up behind R2 .. and of course R4 SFP.

Incidentally, I think a lot of this is relatively new stuff to Tepco's website. I don't remember it last time I poked around here. Happy to stand corrected if wrong but might be worth a look if you haven't looked at their website recently.
I won't say it is more transparent than before offhand bc it is CRAPCO corp which has had no human conscience .. and negligent criminally dealt the world the FUCKUSHITTY blow .. but I would hope I could bow first if it meant saving humanity from ELE.

TEPCO Webcam does look like a lot of emissions, fog, floating cranes due to software pasteup jobs, bottom of the vent/stacks showing blue/red/orange, and Reactor 1 with colors of Fukushima (orange, purple ,blue) all around and inside the coverup tent. Grade of FAIL for all reactors, R1/2 worse looking but R3 and R4 are also neck and neck in this race to disaster.

If you enlarge the first picture, white dots and lines are visible. These are produced by light emission of the atoms in the air, hit by radiation. When you excite an atom, its electrons go to higher energy levels and when they return to their stable lower level state, they emit light, most of which is in the visible part of the EM spectrum. To be correct, these atoms are ionized as well, because the radiation brakes the molecules.
Enlarge the picture and you will see them. On the screen they look like coloured sparks.
