The previous Fukushima Webcam Discussion Thread can be found here: http://enenews.com/fukushima-webcam-discussion-thread
This thread is for discussing matters related to the webcam(s) at Fukushima Daiichi.
UPDATE (via Nuckelchen): “Please note the ‘jst’ time of your observation. Also, describe as best as possible, what you see. Using North, South, East, and West to describe locations. Be specific whenever possible. This may sometimes be the ONLY record we have of such events.”

Has anyone seen Reactor 4 in the last few days? When I check the TBS/JNN it's zoomed in and blurry. I also recently read this:
http://rense.com/general95/offic.html
I realize this article is just speculation – even the author himself says so.
So…I have no idea…and maybe I did miss some nice, clear views of Reactor 4…. just fishing for info.

Hi guys and gals. Great (?) to have a brand new webcam forum. I felt it would be befitting to have one of Nuckelchen's fukushiteria videos to begin the second round. I'm glad it does.
Thx pumpkin for the link.
Before bed here in France, 9:47 JST, active cranes over #4 on fuku1live but only grey on TBS. Night all. No pun intended.
No half-life. Full life.

I've been scanning family photos onto the computer. So many memories. And I ask myself why I even do this. It's not like there are going to be future generations to pass it down to. God, I am so very, very sad. I am going to click the "Submit Comment" and send this out into cyberspace just for the record that I can NOT fathom the madness of nuclear anything or war. It did not have to be this way. Mother Earth is full of abundance. Good luck to us all. Really.

in the report 03/12 from the ippnw they wrote about that tepco will use all the time a computer-generated reactor-simulation for all their released reactor datas until now.
and as we had seen in the last fifthy (=50!!) hours the wild steam nonstopless and tepco started to releases uprising temp-data from a out-of-any-cooling reactor 4.
prognoses:temp of cooking will be reached in four days.
I THINK MORE THAT THE SFP IS DRY NOW.
and one more.

More steam/smoke stuff chocking up – time stamp 23.00 JST. It has that all-too-familiar grainy look about it,darn it. The R4/worklight area is looking bright and hazy – it's lighting up the sky. The nasty 'stuff' is spewing up, just like we've seen before.

not at all.
the most of us will be dying stupido.
but as my own life shows-i was 15 when chernobyl boomed and lives in germany.at that time were math and physics my favorited lessons in the school-but driven my Puch-alu-racing-pedalino and tuning my zündapp moped and starting with looking at the girls-no chances for any information about radiation to find a way into my brain.
i had needed a third upgrate in my own "natürliche hintergrundstrahlung" to understand that here is nothing "natürlich".
we got now massiv three radio-layers as an invisible gas-belt one meter over and two meter under the ground-worldwide.
how much and how big the last one with the fuku fallout is does nobody cares.
i think the contamination of the pazific will be the first and bigger problem that could an awaking bringing with it.

like china.
hm,
until now is china more a "trittbrettfahrer" and wipes his own nuke waste into the pazific…

Is anyone else unable to access the Tepco cam? I was connected, then the screen went dark, and I've been unable to reconnect — I called a friend several hundreds of miles away and he can't get picture, either.
If this is true for all of us, this bodes evil, considering how things looked on the camera throughout the past hours.

The webcam link on this page doesn't view for me, nor the other link I have for TepshamCam. Considering the gravity of the current situation, it doesn't bode well

Exactly. So far my friend and I (and he's using our edu ISP — I'm out of range for that and am using my home ISP) have tried six different computers and four different browsers, as well as every access link we know for Tepco's camera… nothing.

Clearly Tepco webcam often runs loops, as we learned so very obviously when the TBS cams showed demolition of unit 4 upper-level building supports.
the current scene on the tepco webcams hows a lot of pinkish steam/smoke coming from units 1 and 2, although it is blurred by the foggy background

I had a feeling we would be seeing eq activity (due to the solar flares) today… Were having a solar storm right now from the 4 inbound cmes, (m's and c's), which is creating problems in the magnetosphere…
Thankyou for the eq update… I had just checked the usgs moments before I signed off, and there was only the 3 baja california quakes at that time… So I must have logged off just before this event took place…

July 2, 9 AM feed at 3 seconds in you see larger crane tool head lowered to ground by Unit 4. Also in samd area later in hour the smaller cranes are very busy. Tepco workers rarely work this early hour so it must be some desperate kamikaze business being conducted.
My posts will be limited until July 6. I am in central US (Mark Twain's home state) visiting my daughter's family. I do have some sub-par DSL net access at her home, but my hotel has pre-1990 Internet speed so it is pretty useless to accomplish much other than read a few headlines and scattered posts.
Met and talked with large Japanese family at a Fuddruckers restaurant in Branson, Missouri. They were very sad refugees. Didn't tell my family I talked briefly outside with the oldest Japanese son (about 45). He was extremely articulate, and he said he was a structural engineer from Tokyo. I say "was" because they are never planning to return to Japan. In his words: "Japan is ruined by Tepco…we are now a family without a country".
I felt terrible, but glad at the same time that they felt safer in America. America has millions of compassionate caring people and welcomes immigrants who are friendly and hardworking. The old Ugly American still roams the halls of Big Brother, but the largest majority of Americans are not xenophobic. The race of mankind transcends boundaries and language.
Take care Enenewsers…where there is life there is hope.

That's what I thought…Ever since that demolition, the TBS cam has been very, very blurry…leaving viewers unable to clearly see what has been and what is happening. That pretty much leaves us totally reliant on TEPCO for info on No. 4….and we all know what that means. Is it fair to say that some pretty bad stuff could be going down and we wouldn't know? I have always wondered that if something catastrophic did happen…would we even be able to find out? I'm not trying to fearmonger by any means…it just seems that our avenues for information are quite sparse and the few that are there are controlled by people who have alot to hide.
There are many wonderful people out there trying to keep us informed…but it seems that we are all dependent on the same few sources for info.
It is a very helpless feeling.

tepco had installed all over high-pressure steam-guns.
they shoot steam into the high from 60-120 meters on that side from that the wind is coming from.
so it happens sometimes that the guns are running out of steam-liquide or else.
then we got only minutes where we can see the real steam-out-blowing.
like tonight, something about 20:20 JST, you can see clear that steam blows out of reactor 4.
