Someone is tampering with the image as you can see a reflection of the crane on Reactor one which disappears when the black fog rolls backwards, I don't think this is real but who knows.

The way that light moved across looked to me like a drone, sent in for them to have a look at R4 after that really strong EQ shook it up. The 'black fog' (whatever it is??) maybe was to try hide it from view!! Just my thoughts on this one ………..

Now on the Tomioka camera I'm seeing a lot of cement trucks again. Very windy right now. A great deal of traffic heading to and from the reactors.

@Richard – I'm glad you said that because I am seeing it also. I have been seeing orange glowing on units 3 and 4, brown smoke out of 3, sparks and light flashes, and some spark type flashes in the atmosphere above both units. I am going to step out on a limb and say that it is possible that both units 3 and 4 spent fuel pools are burning. The TBS/JNN camera is acting very strang all of the suddon as well. Man I hope I'm wrong……

yes TM, the effect on top centre of number four is like a cop light doing it's red flash, but only every occasional minute.
i've not been able to see the activity you've also mentioned, i'm not always watching. will keep an eye open though.

@Richard – I also saw a large Japanese Coast Guard ship just before it got dark in Fukushima last night cruising by the plants on the JNN cam doing some kind of drive by inspection – had never seen that before – seemed very unusual – mabey they were checking on the water / coolant loss – mabey – FYI

@Richard – also the red (cop) light flashes you are seeing on top of unit 4 could be if infact the fuel rods are burnng (I sure hope not) it could be because of that huge steel plate they have covering the pool is vented about a foot or so all the way around the edges so it could very well be the fire flashes reflecting out of those perpendicular side vents between the steel plate and the top of the building

in the light of day, i now see why the red (cop) light flashes during the night.
there is a red/orange structure there. during the night, changing light and camera artifacts create an illusion of 'pulsing'.
it was not a 'fire' during the night that i saw.

JNN cam says "video private". Tomioka cam shows what appears to be a blurred image of flashing yellow and steady green traffic signals. TEPCO cam shows strange mottled black moving pattern across bottom half of screen. I tried to take a screen shot but my snipping tool only returns a completely black screen. (??)

cb, thanks for your input. I didn't know the Tomioka camera only worked at night. The camera that I meant with the black patterns was TEPCO. The patterns flickered as they moved right to left across, like the NYSE tickertape except wider, covering up to half the screen. That's the screen shot I tried to get. You could see the night view of PP yet my snipping tool captured a black screen. ??? I think my old computer is having problems with some programs. Hasn't happened before, though. Anyway, patterns gone now and snipping tool working fine.

Here's what I see.
Red Flashes or 'Pops' is what I call them.
Looks sort of like electrical shorts… 'popping'.
Ionizing radiation…! (speculating)
I can almost hear the 'zzzzap zap' sounds.
The pops and flashes moved from right to left somewhat as the BLACK FOG moved over the area.

I see a strange blue-green cloud over 3/4 with quick flares of a brighter blue coming from the top, corner sides of the building with the yellow things on top (I think that is building 3)
I also see very visible blue-green distortion at the bottom of the big white crane and the red and white crane to the right (right of white crane).
Occasionally I see red blur at the bottom of the red and white crane.
These are major sources of color and distortion ordinarily, but they are more pronounced today, even in the daylight.

i have a screen capture from today that captures the emissions in the area that time machine points out
I didn't notice the emissions there until TM pointed it out.
However, I have 3 screen shots from a 10 minute time period that illustrate the emissions because of the appearance and disappearance of color

This gives an explanation for the "black fog"; A drop adhering to the camera makes its way across the lens. Its easy to see there is an optical effect with a ghost image of a crane. Why it retreats in reverse direction is strange. I have seen actual black fog before. Ominous. This is clearly something at the lens. It also has the appearance of being a filter with a diffracting edge. The many lights remind me of the lightening like discharge from cranes seen before. It paints a bleak picture; Young men working in miserably cold out of control situations, with high ionization radioactive particles coming up with moisture and particulate creating flashes of lightening. Bleak, scary and out of control, working a suicide job in a futile attempt to save the company, country and world.

Looks like flashing to the left of R1, being obscured by a blob on the lens. Yes,it's been raining there and we know the place doesn't cope well in rain, but the other watery droplets on the lens have disappeared leaving the one near R1. Just look behind the blob from the start of this clip:

I see that blur . Amazing how it stays there obscuring the lens directly over that part of the front of reactor 1. Raindrop held in place? I don't believe it . One thing I do know well is Photoshop . And that is sure what it looks like to me .

Come on people! It's just snow sticking to the lens, then melting off, leaving a smudge. I know there is horrible things being emitted everywhere around the plant, and I know we can't trust TepScam, but we loose all our credibility with these constant photoshoping accusations. Sometimes when it's snowing and windy, dirty (radioactive cesium-filled) snowflakes are going to stick to the camera lens, and slowly melt off or be washed off by rain. Perhaps it leaves a smudge behind as it dries or drips off.
I know quite a bit about video editing, but not a tenth as much as Nuckelchen. If he says that the technology exists to programatically edit video on the fly in the way people have been claiming has been going on then I would reconsider my position. As it stands I know of no other examples of live, on the fly editing that looks exactly like a natural phenomenon, but aren't.
Nuckelchen, school me and scold me if I'm wrong about this, please.

Well, when we compare multiple cameras controlled by seperate entities, and those camera images match, and are consistent with the weather reported to be occuring, then I think it's a good bet that their live.
I'm not saying, however that it's ALWAYS live. In the early days I agreed that at time it seemed like they were rerunning tapes. I don't know if they edited those replayed tapes or not.
Let me ask you directly. Do you think that what we are seeing is multiple tape-delayed broadcasts coordinated from multiple sources which are edited by truly top-notch video wizards. Certainly possible. I haven't seen any evidence of it though. At the moment I believe (not BELIEVE) they are live. I just think that we should be careful of thinking EVERYTHING is a conspiracy, even though so many things ARE.
Sorry if I'm coming across "shillish". I'm very open to finding out I'm wrong. I may sometimes be overly skeptical, but I'm not a damn skeptic.

We only have the video of 2 cameras on the reactors, they could easily be delayed. I see no evidence that a "video wizard" is employed by Tepco.
Those who do the most hand-wringing over the "credibility" of this website are never those who do the most work to establish the truth of what is happening at Fukushima.

I think if this were Russia there would be no camera at all.
I also think if this were Nuclear Plants on the east coast of the USA during hurricane Sandy there would be no live pictures of Nuclear Facilities at all, even if they were flooding. Zero, zilch.

They didn't shut down all of those reactors just because of one plant.

I think we are seeing phenomenon that have only been seen before when we've done high-altitude nuclear tests. Except in this case, the effects are persistent (perhaps permanent). So much ionizing radiation potentially being emitted from all over the plant, since tons of at least #3 core blew all the hell over the place. I think we might be seeing atmospheric plasma effects from the ionization. I don't have a good theory for the clouds of "prismatic" gas that seem to drift all around, unless that is an effect from some isotope of argon, xenon or other noble gas. That would really bake my noodle.

We've been seeing these types of events for some time now. Just not at this level of magnitude and recurrence.
My conclusion is that this is 'Black' Rain/Snow/Fog.
Black Rain IS Fallout.

Just wanted to reiterate my view that the black fog theory in the above video doesnt look at all like something atmospheric. Neither does it look like photoshop which I use a lot. Something slowly slides across the lens and the leading edge of it has a diffractive character. Entirely NEW images are seen, especially visible toward the end of the video with a superimposed tower or crane. You can estimate about how big the lens diameter is from the snow. I would say a larger than expected 1/2 to 3/4 inch. So the snow is probably sticking to a lens protective cover. These are cheap cameras. Now imagine what could slowly move in front of the camera? It almost looks like an oil drop but my guess is a clear plastic item with chamfered edge. It does not look, to me, anything like the ominous black fog rolling in that I have seen several months ago. This slides smoothly over and completely distorts the image especially at the border, like a diffraction on the edge of a plastic polarizing filter. Somehow I dont think they are playing with the cameras and images, why bother at such a nonsensical level which does nothing to add to public relations. I could see a turn off order though.

There is a link for Miyagi Webcams. I probably have to enable Java to something to view them. The links include taffic cams, but those show vey little of the sky. I haven't found the type of Webcams that ae available fo Fukushima.

cameras have a lot of pixelated distortion in low light. Combine this with lights shining through fog and rain, and its very hard to conclude that its scintilating radiation awash in the atmosphere. I have wondered about the closer cameras, and I think you could think this with the cameras they lowered into the reactors. Thinking of the value of web cam monitoring, before the disaster there were intact buildings, afterwards they were in ruins. This tells a lot. Someday we may wake to find spent fuel pool no longer standing. This will be an exciting day of web cam viewing. In the meantime, we get a feel, but not a very high resolution feel, for what it must be like to work in bitter cold through radioactive mud and ruins with lightening discharges coming off metal framework. Some are very large events and this must be an awesome spectacle with loud crack and buzz…these guys thinking about their friends and family and futures in an apocalyptic era.

I get the feeling these are low to average quality cameras that naturally have a ton of distortion. Add to this an overdose of compression to reduce streaming bit load, and you have something barely worth watching. When even the highest level politicians are under the thumb of Tepco and the worldwide web of big corporate masters, I wonder why they would even bother to spend time trying to skew a low quality cam one way or the other for the value of a handful of avid but irrelevant webcam watchers. What for? If they wanted to influence public opinion, why not get a bunch of actors to tell how good its going at the plant. They have money, they could make any number of high quality fakes of images and video. The images are just very low video streams from generic low qual cameras. This is filtering enough. Why they are even there is a kind of mystery.

Good find Heart of the Rose. But those are not the cameras we are looking at. Those super cameras can record in the IR and ultraviolet range, can detect radioactive clouds etc and are located within the plant. They are super cameras, more than cameras really. It is one small indication of the intelligence gathering potential there is that we have no access to whatsoever. What the people in our governments and secretive agencies know would blow anybodies mind. The movie life of pi is full of computer generated sequences. It shows that anything you see or hear could be so well crafted, you have no way of telling truth from fiction. Yes, its enough to make a conspiracy thinker go silent in awe. I have seen the claimed largest super computer. The public is simply in the dark about what is really happening in the world.

The Ranch Hope Cam Archived video at the link below looks like it possibly records sky shine. It is definitely snowing, but the hues from a radiated skyline at the Fukushima Daiichi plant are clearly visible when tilting the screen slightly as it starts to look like a white-out.

I really am bothered by your comment. I have been here since the beginning and have worked my ASS off to establish the truth of this horror we're facing. So if I choose to voice my OPINION on the theories being discussed and my CONCERN about their impact on the site credibility that is my right (Admin willing). I fully support your right to disagree with my opinion, but please don't disparage me or the work I'VE put in to finding the truth and communicating it.

People like Wotcha have dedicated countless hours of observation and measured commentary on this thread, and have themselves built up its credibility. Therefore, if anyone should be worried about that credibility it should be people like Wotcha.
There have been so many floating cranes, etc., over hundreds of days that the manipulation of the video is about the only thing that is clear.

The first part of this youtube video looks like "Is it me, or is it snowing?" post above video comment, but then you see the rest of the video which is far more serious.

This video reminds me of the days in June of 2011 when fire raged visible on the webcam
I can only hope that the present video is representing something else, other than a fire.
I think citizen monitoring data constitute the only reliable means for evaluating whether or not this is a fire.

When I was looking at the long version of the video, I did think I saw a jerk where it may have been spliced with another video, but I don't have time to go back and try to figure out where that splice occurred. If so, it's hard to know what is being covered up or over.
