Voter support for Japanese PM Noda has dropped to the lowest level since he took office in 2011, with the majority of Japanese opposing his plan to restart nuclear reactors.

Japan should not have a choice they must except help from others, this effects us all not just Japan.
Japan is a island needs imports to survive, it is time for sanctions.
it's time for the people of Japan to stop being like sheep and stand up and be counted, you have the ability to determine your own destiny, for such a intelligent nation to be brain washed by the powerful,
I thought Japanese were smart but they seem to be a nation of very weak minded people and fatally flawed
Tellyour government to accept all help from outside Japan 10 years is unacceptable or continue to close your eyes and it will all go away

So Cal update = Lots of people getting sick. Several friends have come down with phemonia in the last week. I had upset stomach for no reason over the weekend. Several people here at work today are suffering from upset stomachs? We have had really dense fog the past few days, never even cleared up at the beaches. I think the fog is bringing higher radiation levels. Our CPM hasn't dropped below 40 in several days based on Radiation Network postings. I can definitely see an uptake in cancer diagnosis and friends getting sick…..

Thank you beyond words KONDY. I had ALL my family down there until recently. Now, my step-Mum, half sister-(9 months pg), and a grandchild, are still walking around in that!

@ Jill – I have waited to say anything because I didn't want to be an "alarmist". I have been paying close attention, but now it seems like it is starting to add up overhere. People look tired, wierd heartburn, upset stomachs, allergies seem off the page (children and adults), people who have beat cancer before are getting diagnosed with new ones (not metastics of original). People just generally seem unwell.

A friend of mine likes to read the obituaries (kind of strange but whatever) and I asked her the other day if she thought there were more than usual or about the same. She looked me right in the eye and said "at least double" this time last year.

CPM in Tucson, AZ seems to have varied since Jan 12 to April 23 from lows of 13-60 or so, then Radnet shows the CPM going up almost every day during working hours to over 100-160 CPM. When I emailed the EPA, they said it was natural variation. Can anyone suggest a reason why it might only vary during working hours, 9-5, or sometimes 11-7?

I can offer my opinion. I think there are only a few factors to consider in the high cpm readings. Factor one: Is it windy? Can the dust and dirt particles that the isotopes are attached to get mobile? Factor two: Are there human activity causing a dust up? Trucks, cars, equipment, etc. causing airborn concentrations of U,P,Ra, and others to rise.

"…Actual Fukushima worker suspects USA is pressuring Japan to restart nuclear plants #Fukushima Diary: http://bit.ly/K413n2 "

SP: I would be amazed if the NRC and other American nuclear cabal entities were NOT pressuring the Japanese to restart any non-damaged reactors. The events in Japan set a worrisome precedent for the American and global nuclear industry. Tons of radioactive toxins are loose in Japan, the wrecked plant is still spewing, and it could get 100 times or more worse with possible future issues beyond the control of Tepco.

I would say that the Japanese actions as to total shutdown is exactly what most countries will do in the Information Era. Can't hide the facts even in most dictator-led countries. And what the NRC apparently forgets to consider…dictators have children and when disasters mess with the health of their progeny you can bet they are not pleased.

Enviroment Pollution in USA on Tuesday, 24 April, 2012 at 05:03 (05:03 AM) UTC.

Volunteers with the Washington CoastSavers found suspected debris from the Japanese tsunami during their annual beach clean over the weekend. Everything from floats to bottle caps was found on the beach at Shi Shi in the northwest corner of the state. Volunteer Martha Anderson said she found floats and construction wood with Japanese writing in one huge pile of debris mixed in with driftwood. "A majority of the pile is water, pop, juice bottles with Japanese stamps, marks and labels," she said. Anderson said she spent a couple of hours climbing the pile, throwing trash down to be collected. "There was a lot of styrofoam and broken net floats," she said. "I could not carry all of it out, and can only hope that others following behind me had room to take some in their bags," she said. Anderson said CoastSavers did a great job of having volunteers to make everything work smoothly. "There was even a station where some folks were washing sand out of bottles for the recycle station," she said.

WHEN AND WHERE WILL IT ARRIVE?
The enormous quantities of marine debris generated by Japan's tsunami disaster of 2011 naturally left many in Washington State wondering when it would start washing up on our shores and whether to be concerned about any unusal hazards.

Scientific forecasting models are only sophisticated guesses, so estimates vary as to debris arrival times, locations, and quantities.

But in no case is the debris expected to be hazardous in any special way.

Reports of limited quantities of tsunami debris on our coast have already appeared in the media. Download this NOAA Japan Tsunami Flyer for quick reference or review the answers to these frequently asked questions, as provided by our friends at the NOAA Marine Debris Program:

  • Audit Confirms EPA Radiation Monitors Broken During Fukushima Crisis

WASHINGTON – An internal audit has confirmed observers’ concerns that many of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s radiation monitors were out of service at the height of the 2011 Fukushima power plant meltdown in Japan, a finding one critic said raises “serious questions” about the federal government’s ability to respond to nuclear emergencies and to alert the public of their consequences (see GSN, Dec. 21, 2011).

The April 19 report by the EPA Inspector General’s Office also casts further doubt on the agency’s already controversial claims that radiation from Fukushima did not pose any public health threat on U.S. soil, said Daniel Hirsch, a nuclear policy lecturer at the University of California (Santa Cruz) and president of Committee to Bridge the Gap.

The agency on Monday said it stands by its …

Even as the brouhaha over the Kudankulam nuclear project is yet to die down, there is a lot of debate in general about how environment-friendly nuclear energy is. Quick question for anyone and everyone. I live in the St.Paul – Minneapolis area of Minnesota, USA. So far this spring I have seen a grand total of 2, that's right, 2 earth worms during this, our wetest season. Now, we have not had quite as much rain as some years but we are getting regular rains. It seems to me most years after a decent rain my driveway and the road in front of my home would have hundreds of them on it. This year after rain earlier this week I went out looking and found the two lone worms. Anyone else noticing anything similar?

    Poor earthworm!

I know about how he feels. (Who am I, and how did I get here?)

Roomie asked me the other day, since I'M free and totally unfettered,…why am I still here?

I haven't seen very many bugs either. It is still a bit early up here in Minnesota for bugs, but, it has been unseasonable warm since March and I see very few. I fish so I will be checking the area lakes soon. Will look for the usual little critters swimming in the water and see what the numbers look like. Generaly there is quite a large variety of very small stuff wriggling around in it, hopefully it is all still alive. This type of thing is a very good indicator of ecological viability. If the little stuff dies, the big stuff won't be too damned far behind….

    A random thought…
Anyone who has allowed themselves to accept the massive amount of information on this site and others, takes with them one important fact.
We are so fucked if this madness, nuclear madness, is not at the very least brought into check, and I say that knowing that we may be already. In the very least, it has to be brought to the table for debate, brought to the surface of MSM. Brought to the table in THIS election cycle, in the US. I know it is an international issue, but the US is where it basically began, it is the place where it needs to start to end. If the US puts the E Brake on, the rest of the world just may follow. A stretch, I know, but it has to start somewhere. The timing is right here in the US, being an election year.
    My question…
How do we, as the front line in the information aggregate, bring this to the election forefront? How do we make it an issue with the candidates? All the candidates. Petitions haven't been successful, just ignored. Anonymous/Occupy was an epic fail, they missed the point. MSM is silent for this very reason, among others. What would it take to bump it to the top. SFP4 falling? Whats the use in voting then? How can it be done? How can we get the truth into the stage lights? There has to be a way. There is almost 4000 likes to this site. That is a small percentage of the total humans hittin this site. How? Ideas anyone?

If fuku doesn't turn us away from nuclear then nothing will have the chance to again, like heart of the rose said in another post, Chernobyl was the cry we didn't hear, Fuku is our last chance, or maybe Chernobyl was our last chance.

This is a small piece of the article:

A U.S. Senator, Ron Wyden from Oregon, went to Japan to see what was going on with the nuclear disaster. From this article, "What he saw was horrific. And now he is saying that we are in big trouble. He sent a letter to U.S. Ambassador to Japan Ichiro Fujisaki, Secretary of Energy Steven Chu, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and NRC’s Chairman Gregory Jaczko." You can read this letter from the link on the webpage.

Reports in the past week indicate the pollen in southern California is radioactive now too, and it is flying around, and if you live there and go outside, you are breathing it in. And so are your children.

Along with fission products blowing over from Japan. And radiation in your drinking water. And in your rain. And in the fish you are eating. And your vegetables. And the milk supply. And its happening every second, of every day. For 13 months. Are you starting to see a problem here?
