      "Again, it's out of balance…"

I had to log back in for this..wow..just wow..and the people don't even realise it..the extremeness of the discrepance..the unsustainability of the current economic/political dynamic..and still vote for those that they know will empover the people further and give taxcuts and all other extra's to where there is almost no more room to stack the "concentrate" ant higher sort of speak..

      Humans..wow..

Imo Bernie wasn't there to help you, either, just saying. He's also a monetary inflation proponent and he would like for you to give more money to government for them to decide how to use it. Career politician, delegation appeals, oh yeah, sold you the fuck out, etc.

"Y’all supported Bernie, that didn’t work too well, did it though? Funneling millions to his campaign.
Swore he wasn’t a crook until he endorsed the same thing.
Then you support the lesser of the evil fakers but it just repeats and we revisit this 4 years later
The State itself is based on theft and can’t be fixed, so realize you own yourself & no one else."

        from the video above
80% of the population shares 7% of the nations wealth.
One percent of the population takes home 24% of the nations wealth

This should make it clear that "work ethic" has little to do with income and also that work does not equal either income or value

        • Work will not guarantee success in a free enterprise system, but will almost always for sure help your personal success and or income.

Agreed that there is too much concentration of wealth at the top, an absurd amount, and they use is to buy media and government. And we should do something to make things better, what is that?

I get zero ideas from people. Work Ethic has a lot to do with success and income. For the rich, it is amplified in many cases.

          • q Farthington MacMananus

"Work Ethic has a lot to do with success and income. For the rich, it is amplified in many cases."

A great irony, if you consider where it is amplified and consider their "ethic".

          • CodeShutdown CodeShutdown

'I get zero ideas from people. Work Ethic has a lot to do with success and income. For the rich, it is amplified in many cases.'

I dont what you mean perhaps, but I think you got some ideas from me. I hope so anyway.

About this amplification effect; is that like leverage? What people dont seem capable of saying is that the rich are rich at the expense of the rest of the population and the rest of the living world. Thats a fact no matter how you slice and dice economics with ideas and terminology

          • CodeShutdown CodeShutdown

'Work Ethic has a lot to do with success and income' this is an idea you take for granted. The people I knew with the greatest work ethic didnt have a lot of money and some of them VERY little money indeed. You can only work 10 or 12 hours a day. With wage labor you will never get rich on that. Thus the work ethic is an outdated and false concept that shouldnt have survived the industrial revolution and the absurdities of the capitalist system. Over half the population only has a thousand in savings. You call them all lazy?

            • I became wealthy based on work ethic on no other advantages, except a fairly stable family. Huge advantage I admit. We were so poor we didn't even know we were poor, lol

            • Not just lazy, but enslaved with debt, zombified by TV, drugged by big Pharma.

"Its not their fault" yeah right, you fall into a trap and then keep falling in….sorry, its your fault. \

Plus the corruption in the overall system fucks those who do earn something, at least potentially. its the fucking corruption at all levels.

not the capitalism, not the free enterprise, those can be optimized. Its the rampant corruption, and I will say it here….giving those power, who didn't have much power before, makes them usually willing pawns to do whatever the system wants them to do…and here we are.

              CApite?

              • CodeShutdown CodeShutdown

I disagree there…the economic system itself and the very nature of mankind has produced the situation where the majority can partake of only a small minority of the wealth.

How would a family or group of friends do using the free enterprise concept amongst themselves? With shrewd business you could end up renting out rooms to your siblings, rising to the top, maybe buying out the family business with some aggressive leverage. Why you could have mom shining your shoes…all it took was a strong work ethic and survival of the fittest.

What sounds normal to some sounds absurd to others. Civilization appears abnormal to me. Not brotherly…less love than a dog has for kitty or the duck

              • CodeShutdown CodeShutdown

and,,,to my surprise, you DO call the lower 80% of the public lazy, even though they work full time jobs.

What did the banana say to the almond?

                "Not JUST lazy"

                • Code, 80% of the public do not work jobs, not anymore. 100M out of the work force.

And by what comment do you say I call them "Lazy"

                  • CodeShutdown CodeShutdown

stock…I ask 'Over half the population only has a thousand in savings. You call them all lazy?'

you reply 'Not just lazy, but enslaved with debt, zombified by TV, drugged by big Pharma.
"Its not their fault" yeah right, you fall into a trap and then keep falling in….sorry, its your fault.'

which I took to mean that you think they are lazy and also enslaved in debt and drugged but which is all their fault. Maybe I misinterpreted…

You had a successful career..congratulations, its a good thing…the American dream I would say. But most dont make it. Not for lack of work ethics. I would say to be careful with that judgement surrounding the work ethic. I can think of people on the forum who are/were at the end of their wits just trying to make it. You COULD have been one of them

        • Jebus Jebus

I can't think of a better way to spend my life than more time and enough money to do stuff in a healthy environment.

Where the wealth is distributed a little more fairly and each has the ability to make a foundation, without massive debt, maybe get an education, without massive debt, and some sort of viable health care, without massive debt, because it's all polluted, and maybe, just maybe, improve the environment we all live in.

I will gladly pay more taxes if it is actually for the good of all.

Hey, wait, aren't taxes kinda like socialism?

Even Bernie knows it's not about Bernie or socialism.

What the hell does he care? Except he has grandchildren…

          • obewanspeaks obewanspeaks

His grandchildren are now screwed! Poor Bernie!

          • q Farthington MacMananus

Jebus, what has to happen is less worship of money. Money has to be devalued (massively) relative to other factors and two of the most important factors would be derivatives and leveraging, as the effect is compounded with interest.

I don't trust Bernie, either, what can I say?

            • q Farthington MacMananus

Sorry, bad wording, but I hope you can interpret that reasonably.

            • Jebus Jebus

No your good, and the grossly inflated value of the dollar is exactly why they need all most of all of it to be of any value to them.

Bernie has been relegated into history as someone with pretty good morals and ideas that would benefit most, ran for president, maybe got some laws passed.

I have not seen where he stashed money in panama or groped anyone…

            • q Farthington MacMananus

"I have not seen where he stashed money in panama or groped anyone"

He's lived a fairly comfortable life delegating away or deciding over some your rights, so you wouldn't. How about that time he endorsed HRC? You reckon, as a career politician, he wouldn't be involved or know about that sort of stuff?

"Bernie has been relegated into history as someone with pretty good morals and ideas that would benefit most, ran for president, maybe got some laws passed."

Possibly pretty good morals, I can't say, never met they guy, but I know he's been part of a fraudulent political system for quite a long time. But hey, he's basically a statist, so that's probably excusable.

I'm sure he had some good ideas, he had some really terrible ideas as well, especially when talking about how to fix corporate/state problems.

As an example, what do you imagine the effect of taxing corporations more (given that corporations and government is intimately tied, they could get subsidies, preference, bail outs, etc), but raising the minimum wage is? Especially if it is delegated decisions and spending. Corporate taxation is basically, meaningless, whehter it's 0 or 100%, imo.

Again, I may be bad at math but it seems to me those would be disingenuous measures of thievery promoting authoritarianism and inflated money supply.

              • yep, after Bernie was ripped off of the nomination by the DNC as basically run by the other candidate….what a farce that is now that it is exposed….after that, he went and bought/got a fancy house and endorsed the hillary.

After she fucked him completely. Sorry, no respect, although I like many of his ideas that are on the money.

Fuck the socialism, not a single good example in history.

RE your list of "socialist countries" not correct………………
Democratic socialism purports to combine majority rule with state control of the means of production. However, the Scandinavian countries are not good examples of democratic socialism in action because they aren’t socialist.

In the Scandinavian countries, like all other developed nations, the means of production are primarily owned by private individuals, not the community or the government, and resources are allocated to their respective uses by the market, not government or community planning.

While it is true that the Scandinavian countries provide things like a generous social safety net and universal healthcare, an extensive welfare state is not the same thing as socialism. What Sanders and his supporters confuse as socialism is actually social democracy, a system in which the government aims to promote the public welfare through heavy taxation and spending, within the framework of a capitalist economy. This is what the Scandinavians practice.

                  • Also, if you review, those countries are all pretty well toast at this time, take Sweden, please, rape capital of the world, taking crosses out of Christian churches to avoid offending mudlims, "sweden ought to be a safe space for everyone" TOAST

            • Indeed, we should all define wealth properly, we tried a few weeks back.

              • q Farthington MacMananus

I dunno what wealth is to you. My ideas of values and wealth have been completely eroded thanks to egregorian (how is that not a word?) social and brainwashing attempts.

Somehow though, I do not see wealth in money. Perhaps in my significant other (which I do not have), it is an impossible position to try and reconcile.

Why is it that some of the worst fucktards on the planet have to appeal so much, spend so much, exploit so much to advertize their views?

                  Wealth is–

                  Health above all
                  Clean food, air, and water

Some camaraderie with fellow humans and animals, a team spirit

Ability to avoid mind numbing propaganda or at least deflect it
Enough physical assets, including money, that one is not tempted too much, too help one live a moral life

Well, stock, I'm not part of whatever you call "we". Nice sentiments, I just happen to question motive and means.

Health above all – And would you say supporting environmental abuse and exploitation is amenable to this concept?

Clean food, water and air – Take a look around.

Freedom from serious mental defects – Explain to me what a serious mental defect is. Related to your notion of "flexibility".

Freedom itself, the pursuit of happiness – Sorry, but that is very veiled notion, what is happiness? If supposed happiness involves abuse, then that "freedom" can fuck right off.

The ability to accept the fact that you deserve happiness – Based on what? Do you deserve happiness if you've been an exploitative piece of shit? If you try to impose what happiness is supposed to be?

Time — enough — to enjoy the other elements of wealth – I see, you think you can buy time.

Some camaraderie with fellow humans and animals, a team spirit – I just don't care about shitty teams.

Flexibility in all meanings (hint – stretch) – Pity you didn't apply this thought of cons

Enough education to understand the world we live in – But pro science, bro.

Ability to avoid mind numbing propaganda or at least deflect it – Right, and you've clearly not bought into capitalist or exploitative gesturing.

Enough physical assets, including money, that one is not tempted too much, too help one live a moral life – The most common demonic appeal, possession while suggesting…

There are many documented false flag attacks, where a government carries out a terror attack … and then falsely blames its enemy for political purposes.

In the following 42 instances, officials in the government which carried out the attack (or seriously proposed an attack) admits to it, either orally or in writing:

Slaughter of 90,000 Wild Horses Could Proceed Despite 80% Objection From American Public https://www.ecowatch.com/wild-horses-zinke-2510319603.html

    by American Wild Horse Campaign

The American Wild Horse Campaign on Thursday harshly criticized Interior Sec. Ryan Zinke's appointment of Brian Steed, the former chief of staff for U.S. Rep. Chris Stewart (R-UT), as the acting director of the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) as dangerous and out of step with the wishes of the vast majority of Americans.

"Rep. Stewart is leading the charge to slaughter America's wild horses and burros over the opposition of 80 percent of Americans," said Suzanne Roy, AWHC Executive Director. "Putting his deputy at the helm of the agency charged with protecting these national icons is like putting the wolf in charge of the chicken coop."

"Americans don't want the government to be in the horse slaughter business, and Interior Secretary Zinke should appoint someone to lead the Bureau of Land Management who is committed to protecting, not destroying, America's historic mustangs," Roy concluded.

    • freebywill

Stewart and Zinke are pushing for the destruction of America's mustangs to appease the special interest livestock lobby, which views wild horses as competition for cheap taxpayer subsidized grazing on public lands. (Public lands ranchers pay $1.87 per animal per month to graze livestock on public lands while the going rate for private land grazing in the West is $22.60.)

Livestock industry groups like the National Cattleman's Association are lobbying for the killing and slaughter of wild horses and burros on public lands even though 80 percent of BLM land grazed by livestock has no wild horses present on it.

AWHC is calling on Congress to reject the Stewart amendment in favor of appropriations language that would require the BLM to use non-lethal birth control to manage America's wild herds, as recommended by the National Academy of Sciences. The Senate is expected to release its 2018 Interior Appropriations bill later this month.

"AWHC is calling on Congress to reject the Stewart amendment in favor of appropriations language that would require the BLM to use non-lethal birth control to manage America's wild herds, as recommended by the National Academy of Sciences."

I'm thinking the AWHC is entirely full of shit too. That to me reads like possibly, an even worse "solution" to a supposed "problem". What non-lethal methods do you suppose they would propose?

        • q Farthington MacMananus

Okay, since I'm raging a bit and taking a wild guess here, since I probably didn't make it explicit enough.

Some would consider africans as "animals" and try to genocide them.

What I mean is, animal vaccination, medicine, feed, is often overlooked. Yeah, I'm going ther. If vaccination for people is bad, and in general, society has less respect or concern for animals, what do you reckon?

  • q Farthington MacMananus

Right, I woke up a bit early, because of well, stuff.

"“I don’t think it’s any surprise that economic prosperity is a higher priority”, Banks continued before the UN panel,"

Contrary to what some people think, less corporate tax (vaguely, if the focus was small or somewhat independent business, perhaps) and supposed economic priority (based on proven bullshit systems) is obviously doomed to be less than successful. America doesn't need more corporations that simply end up being consolidated. Also, selling out the environment is pretty much the first much one of the indicators of someone being an asshole, in my book.

A 3% tax break for poor people doesn't mean much. I will try to explain why (do I really have to?). Firstly, the impact on government tax income is minimal (a good thing for them), secondly it does very little in practice to help poor people (and that's ideally).

In two words: Derivatives, leveraging. I'm not an economist, bankster or something like that, but I'd like the think I'm okay at identifying significant factors in systemic failures. Your supposed leaders don't address that and they're not leaders. Very simple.

Bankster "economy" isn't going to save your country or the world, get over it.

    ————————————-
Well if a customer tells me they want a product from a certain country, and I have experience in that product and great success not just project wise, but in long term reliability, I would be a fool to try to talk them into something else, capite?

"Well if a customer tells me they want a product from a certain country, and I have experience in that product and great success not just project wise, but in long term reliability, I would be a fool to try to talk them into something else, capite?"

See, you're basing the idea of quality on nationality, this is hugely flawed reasoning.

Firstly, if that person (and you) had been indoctrinated to believe that narrative (though it may not be true), you would have a tendency to be biased, of course.

Secondly, you are not citing the environmental damage and or resources involved in promoting those products. Can you honestly tell me who produces those solar panels, what resources are used, from where? I doubt you would.

And of course, you wouldn't tell them to consider alternatives, as you are trying to capitalize.

    • q Farthington MacMananus

If you could explain to me, what it is that makes american solar panels so much better, I would appreciate it.

Oh and the whole boycott thing was as big a joke as the total fiction these few posters that wanted to do it (and these poor people still posted something within hours of the totally fake boycott starting). This kinda lack of self control speaks volumes at tot he accuracy of the minds that put out the fake crap regularly and that is the fact of why so many sane and truly educated people have stopped participation in these discussions.

Cern, pizzagate, trump said this, trump did that and the incessant rambling of provable falsehoods concerning radiation along with childish insults directed at anyone that points out the sane provable truth is why the best have vanished. Nothing to do with a simple link to a song that can easily not be clicked on… The constant fairy tales spoken as truth and the childish insults are the real reason people have gone.

But then that's the actual provable truth so it won't surprise me a bit when some of the trouble makers / false information posters here just won't understand those simple facts.

The truth is not for everyone, especially government bashers and fools that will believe and/or post anything that suits their crazy agenda.

however, I don't borrow any money at this time, it is evil, LOL

    • CodeShutdown CodeShutdown

You missed the point perhaps, illustrated by the space station. Your capitalist concept does not work with 500 people on a space station. They would throw Goldstein, Spielman and Garfunkle out the airlock. Its not just usury. Capital is the agreement of the many to contribute to the building of larger projects, nothing more nothing less. Its not just the usury that is the problem. Owning, leveraging and profiting on a space survival sphere will not go over well. Is that difficult to see?

For example, what if I owned all of the space station solar cells and raked a tidy profit I could own the shelter units and charge rent, such that you had to grow and cook my food, and your wife clean my house.

I could say "our lazy. if you had a better work ethic you could work yourself to the top" And you could say, well maybe if we allow you to contribute less and keep more profits, you will make more jobs so my family can work our way to the top. And I could laugh at that naivete, and then you would then have to go back to work, and I could lay in the garden

      • CodeShutdown CodeShutdown

Is a forex trader using, manipulative means or a "businessman" doing deals based on exploitative measures productive?

Laziness is socially, imo, entirely misinterpreted. You go be a slave to money, death covers me.

In a life support sphere forever circling dead earth, I dont see a barbaric necessity of bartering with sex and food. In fact it was working out…a little like native american cultures perhaps…until some guys came up with the idea of making money on money, accumulating wealth with something called market capitalism.

There is a lake on the space station…not very large…a few acres only…but the capitalists were able to leverage their investments, create jobs and have the other inhabitants build them a large yacht. True, they cant go anywhere, but its a great symbol of prosperity. Meanwhile, the people have to get back to farming, and other things the want to do. Time is short

How The CIA Used Charles Manson To Debunk Entire 60's Hippie Movement Murders may have been a covert operation by CIA

"Schlund claims that the CIA’s prime objective, at the time, was to to debunk the ‘hippie’ movement which was proving to be an economical and sociological threat to both the government and its Vietnam war effort. “The war was going badly and the American people were protesting in ever-greater numbers with pictures of pretty flower girls on TV nightly, protesting. The CIA needed a way of showing the American people that these pretty little flower girls were really Satanists and evil and that the government was right and just in the war. To do this the government needed to conduct a massive covert operation to convince the American people that these little flower girls were evil, and the free love and peace they talked of was really to cover-up evil.” Schlund suggests that Charles Manson was, in fact, a social experiment and that the CIA had not only been supplying drugs to the Manson family but also funding their living. It’s no secret that the CIA regularly experimented with Drugs in an attempt at mass mind control. MKULTRA is one of their most famous projects and Manson was in prison at the time they were known to be using inmates at Vacaville prison in the MKULTRA experiments."

      Jews Against Zionism
The American Council for Judaism, 1942-1948

This is the first full-scale history of the only organized American Jewish opposition to Zionism during the 1940s. Despite extensive literature on the Zionist movement, the Jewish opposition to Zionism has received only marginal and usually negative attention. In this impartial study, Thomas A. Kolsky examines the neglected phenomenon of Jewish anti-Zionism, its roots, and its results.

In 1942, a number of dissident Reform rabbis founded the American Council for Judaism, the first and only Jewish organization created to fight against Zionism and the establishment of a Jewish state. Emphasizing the purely religious nature of Judaism and unequivocally rejecting Jewish nationalism, the Council supported free Jewish immigration and equal rights for Jews throughout the world. For Palestine, specifically, it advocated establishment of a democratic state wherein all citizens, regardless of their religion, would enjoy equal political rights.

Summarizing both the history of Zionism and the history of American Jews, Kolsky traces the effects of the Holocaust on the Zionist movement and the personalities that shaped the leadership of the Council. Its position toward Zionism has particular contemporary relevance in understanding the historical relationship between Israel and the Palestinians.

The data, which would have held testimonies and strong evidence for the inquiry, was said to have been lost due to a 'technical malfunction'. Freethought project reports London, UK — The Independent Inquiry Into Child Sex Abuse (IICSA) apologized this week after vital testimony from victims of child sexual abuse was “instantly and permanently deleted” from their servers.

Vatican: Depopulation is the 'Only Solution to Climate Change Crisis'

"But when asked what he thinks are “the best means” of lowering the world’s population, Dr. Lee said: “It means that we really need to mobilize and help Africa,” by improving the life of the people, providing “family planning through education, and [by making] contraceptives widely available.” “Out of five babies born [in Africa], three of them are unplanned, and so we have to change that,” Lee said, lamenting that “no action is [being] taken” by the United Nations to remedy this. “Better planning” requires providing security, jobs, better education and infrastructure, and making contraceptives more widely available, he said. But Lee acknowledged that “would be a big thing for Catholics if Pope Francis would say that they should accept contraceptives.”

"The longtime member of the pontifical academy said he hopes Pope Francis will change the Church’s teaching on contraception, but added that he didn’t know if the pope would be open to this."

Dakota Access Pipeline Company Paid Mercenaries to Build Conspiracy Lawsuit Against Environmentalists https://theintercept.com/2017/11/15/dakota-access-pipeline-dapl-tigerswan-energy-transfer-partners-rico-lawsuit/

Alleen Brown, Will Parrish, Alice Speri

The private security firm TigerSwan, hired by Energy Transfer Partners to protect the controversial Dakota Access pipeline, was paid to gather information for what would become a sprawling conspiracy lawsuit accusing environmentalist groups of inciting the anti-pipeline protests in an effort to increase donations, three former TigerSwan contractors told The Intercept.

For months, a conference room wall at TigerSwan’s Apex, North Carolina, headquarters was covered with a web-like map of funding nodes the firm believed it had uncovered — linking billionaire backers to nonprofit organizations to pipeline opponents protesting at Standing Rock. It was a “showpiece” for board members and ETP executives, according to a former TigerSwan contractor — part of a project that had little to do with the pipeline’s physical security.

In August, the law firm founded by Marc Kasowitz, Donald Trump’s personal attorney for more than a decade, filed a 187-page racketeering complaint against Greenpeace, Earth First, and the divestment group BankTrack in the U.S. District Court of North Dakota, seeking $300 million in damages on behalf of Energy Transfer Partners.

Endangered Orcas Compete With Seals, Sea Lions for Salmon https://www.courthousenews.com/endangered-orcas-compete-seals-sea-lions-salmon/

    November 20, 2017 ASSOCIATED PRESS

SEATTLE (AP) — Harbor seals, sea lions and some fish-eating killer whales have been rebounding along the Northeast Pacific Ocean in recent decades. But that boom has come with a trade-off: They’re devouring more of the salmon prized by a unique but fragile population of endangered orcas.

Competition with other marine mammals for the same food may be a bigger problem than fishing, at least in recent years, for southern resident killer whales that spend time in Washington state’s Puget Sound, a new study suggests.

Researchers used models to estimate that from 1975 to 2015, marine mammals along the U.S. West Coast ate dramatically more chinook salmon – from 6,100 metric tons to 15,200 metric tons, according to a study published Monday in the journal Scientific Reports.

Children and teenagers are frequent victims of Israel’s occupation of the Palestinian territories. They face physical abuse by Israeli military forces and are shuffled through an unfair court system without access to legal counsel or even their parents.

The United States has long subsidized these abuses, giving billions of dollars in military aid to Israel every year. Now, a group of Democratic members of Congress is saying enough is enough.

Rep. Betty McCollum, D-Minn., and nine co-sponsors on Tuesday introduced legislation that would require the U.S. State Department to certify every year that American military aid is not being used to fund the systematic abuse of Palestinian children.

Amazon forest fires pushing climate change ‘beyond human control’

Leading Amazon scientist highlights ‘grave problems’ in Brazil’s management of the world’s most important forest as climate-driven fires eat it away

As in many parts of the world, the climate of the Amazon is undergoing dramatic changes. Droughts and floods happen more often, as well as forest fires.

But in recent years, Brazil’s government, which holds the largest swathe of the biggest tropical forest in the world, has privileged economic interests over preservation, according to one of the world’s leading experts on the region and its environment.

Philip Fearnside, a US-born professor at Brazil’s National Institute for Research in Amazonia (INPA), has researched the Amazon for three decades. In an interview with Climate Home in his office in Manaus, he explains how climate change is driving forest fires through the most important forest on earth, creating a cycle of carbon emissions that threatens to push beyond human’s capacity to control it. He also criticises Brazil’s government for their favouring of industry and explains the country’s peculiar relationship to its own laws.

World's largest living thing "in 1998, a fungus was discovered in Oregon’s Blue Mountains that measures a monstrous 2,384 acres – enough to cover about 1,665 football fields (or about 10 square kilometers.) To put this in perspective, there are precisely 43,560 square feet in a single acre. That’s a lot of blue whales – literally, like, HUNDREDS of blue whales.

Furthermore, its size does not come without a rather long history of growing as well: the giant Armillaria ostoyae is estimated to be about 2,400 years old, but could stretch back as much 8,650 years."

    • HillbillyHoundDog HillbillyHoundDog

Too bad I "de-ranked" Google eons ago…It was one of "those kinds of sites". (?)

The rest of the search engines better not follow suit.
Wow. Banning one of the more informative leaks on legit US info.

Censorship and seems almost racist. Or North Korean. or Russian.

"During the discussion, Schmidt claimed that he was “very strongly not in favor of censorship,” but said that he has faith in “ranking” without acknowledging if the system might serve the same function. Schmidt, who joined Google in 2001, said that the company’s algorithm was capable of detecting “repetitive, exploitative, false, and weaponized” info, but did not elaborate on how these qualities were determined.

The Alphabet chief, who has been referred to by Hillary Clinton as a “longtime friend,” added that the experience of “the last year” showed that audiences could not be trusted to distinguish fake and real news for themselves.

“We started with the default American view that ‘bad’ speech would be replaced with ‘good’ speech, but the problem found in the last year is that this may not be true in certain situations, especially when you have a well-funded opponent who is trying to actively spread this information,” he told the audience.

…RT America registered under FARA earlier this month, after being threatened by the US Department of Justice with arrests and confiscations of property if it failed to comply. The broadcaster is fighting the order in court."

      • HillbillyHoundDog HillbillyHoundDog

Google drops their ranking because they obeyed newly enforced FARA laws. GUILTY.

      • HoTaters HoTaters

Hmmn, the other browser search engines apparently already ARE censoring news stories, research, all kinds of data on the internet.

There are things I was actively researching 10 years ago which tocay cannot be found.

It's not just that there is newer data. I strongly suspect there is some sort of concerted effort underway.

Now it can be REALLY tricky to find something I have just read a few months ago.

This really seemed to begin in earnest around April, 2017.

What happened at that time? It seemed (& seems) like all of a sudden half of the meta tags (identifying information at the top that allows the search engines to find something) are gone.

It's much more difficult finding something by subject now unless oan remember very specific key words, part of the title (exact wording), authors, etc. Just much more information needed to pull something up.

But I'd swear a lot of things (like old Enenews articles) just can't easily be found any more.

Try this: save one of your posts. Go back tomorrow and type your user name, Enenews, and part of your post (subject) in the search box. You probably won't find your own comment. (This has been happening to me, when I try to go back to discussions after I left home & came back later, etc.)

Maybe I'm full of it, but it feels to me like the Internet is 50% less functional, all of a sudden, than it was six months ago (or so).

Has anyone else noticed this? I find it so odd I had to comment.

        • HoTaters HoTaters

Thought I had read that due to passage of ICANN (was it ICANN?) that as a result China will be licensed somehow to manage most of the Net traffic. Please correct me if I'm not understanding the issue.

It has something to do with legislation recently passed, and how the federal government in the U.S. has chosen to handle the internet traffic.

Maybe something to do with de-regulation of the carriers like AT&T?

Normally read EFF stories (Electronic Frontier Foundation) but have been way too busy this past year.

But remember reading about something that was likely going to happen – the EFF was fighting it. It was said to be a game changer for our access to information.

And the net result is our access to information in the U.S. would likely become restricted.

Wish I could remember what that darned thing was!

“It is a form of censorship, and the idea is to lead readers away from RT content. And it will have an impact on the discourse in this country,” Kovalik told RT. “When [you start] censoring anyone, they are going to censor everyone, and I think everyone in the US should be appalled by this and very concerned.”

That's why anyone who tells me to "Google" something is told this person doesn't "Google" anything.
"And Google is NOT a verb!" (At least not in my world.)

Once the Google and FB accounts were gone, there was an enormous decrease in the obnoxious targeted online ads, spam e-mails, pop-ups, and strange cookies. Still don't like the amount of online tracking data, but unlike Jebus, am not up to speed on what to use to get rid of all this crap.

Still relying on rather primitive methods like deleting temp files, browser history, cookies, cleaning the cache in the browser, etc. Suspect getting rid of the garbodge completely entails a lot more. Or at least better tools.

But the restricted access to information is – beyond irritating.

                • q Farthington MacMananus

I've used yandex as an email provider (russian "google", go figure). I' disable most services in windows, use simpler, "outdated" or unpopular things. Seems to be effective, fairly consistently. Other people run windows XP, I ran windows 2k, other people run win10, I still run win 7 and I'm very selective about which updates I've allowed (not many).

So then, let's ask Jebus if he could give us a few pointers? **reference

                • Jebus Jebus

All I know is that google is very powerful, both ways.

Their goal is to pop a targeted ad in your face as many times as possible in your session to get paid once and twice if you click an ad.

Just like most other sites except hippiedogs.

He tries to pop a flash on you.

There are many ways to stop most of it and if one uses the advanced search it's one of the best…

I could care less if my searches are tracked.

Some sites have more blank spots than site…

                  • Jebus Jebus

If sites want me to look at ads posted on their site, so they can get paid, then they must be held responsible for what that ad does to my computer and the bad ads and blocking of ads might just go away…

It's a very quackery-like notion, but I consider the sun to be like a massive camera, though feeding off the planet, and the flash may burn.

Well actually, I was trying to say the "blind mover" may just turn shit upside-down. Considering.

                    • I just had to comment in this one…

                      Jeb says:

"As an aside, I have most win versions.

I use xp and the end of life version of firefox to surf"

Wow so Mr. security that continually bashes my site uses a OS that is no longer supported and outdated browser software to surf the internet…

but this same knucklehead says my site (that is updated regularly and has added features to stop breeches and track any attempts – can't get into that here) is a security risk?

And then says it's ok because he uses a linux router?

Wow that totally irresponsible crap speaks volumes…

Fairy tales and fiction from the mind of a child…

Here's a fact taught in schools (from elementary to collage everywhere) and is mandatory if using their network(s).

Don't use outdated software and expect any security… That's the first year educational truth on security online.

Mystery solved folks and by the basher's (Jebus) own admission, written in his own hand and posted here.

Damn ever really wonder why many have stopped reading and posting on this site?

                      I don't…

                    • DUDe DUDe

"Damn ever really wonder why many have stopped reading and posting on this site?

                      I don't…"

Yeah , me neither , a real exodus after

                      PBBBBBBBBBBSSSSSS…BBBBSSSSS !!!!

and simular highlights on steriods fucked up the place.

                  • Only one section of my site uses flash and it has NEVER been a problem in the 10+ years it has been in operation…

Many millions use flash without problems, the real problem around here is the rumor crisis spreaders making mountains out of mole hills all the live long day…

Everything is some kind of great security problem or conspiracy to these borderline (or completely gone over the border) people.

The bottom line is flash is not any real problem compared to other platforms you use everyday, your'e just not smart enough or you listened to blown up stories created for attention or to stop you from using flash.

Flash has been in a shit fight with many device makers for years over licencing costs to include it with their products.

So all it takes is for some paid PR firm to start a rumor campaign against it and some jump on the bandwagon like a dog on a pork chop.

If you are running windows or mac you get a constant stream of security patches and flash is only one of many… The actual os system security patches are what's updated the most over any plugins or programs.

And many times when you get a flash update it is to allow compatibility with other security changes made in the update bundle…

I'm not saying flash is perfectly safe any more than holding a metal pipe up in a thunderstorm is. It's all about odds.

But the odds are MUCH greater you will be hacked/tracked through a WordPress or other CMS plugin than by using flash.

    Oh my Sweet suffering
    Why do you try again?
I am only an unimportant being
Without him I'm a little paro
I walk alone on the subway
    One last dance
    To forget my immense pain
I want to run away, everything to begin again
    Oh my Sweet suffering

I move the sky by day, by night
I dance with the wind the rain
A little love a bit of honey
And I dance, dance, dance, dance, dance, dance, dance
And in the noise, I run and I'm afraid
    Is it my turn?
    Comes the pain.
    In all Paris, I surrender
And I fly, fly, fly, fly, fly, fly

    What hope
On this road in your absence
In vain, without you, my life is nothing but a decor that shines,
    Meaningless

I move the sky by day, by night
I dance with the wind the rain
A little love a bit of honey
And I dance, dance, dance, dance, dance, dance, dance
And in the noise, I run and I'm afraid
    Is it my turn?
    Comes the pain.
    In all Paris, I surrender
And I fly, fly, fly, fly, fly, fly

    In this gentle suffering.
    I paid all the offenses
Listen as my heart is immense
I am a child of the world

I move the sky by day, by night
I dance with the wind the rain
A little love a bit of honey
And I dance, dance, dance, dance, dance, dance, dance
And in the noise, I run and I'm afraid
    Is it my turn?
    Comes the pain.
    In all Paris, I surrender
And I fly, fly, fly, fly, fly, fly, fly

'The Majority will Come Around When they are Compelled to See Gov’t in a New Light'

"…The majority MUST be wrong. That is actually the fuel that drives political change. Don’t beat your head against a brick wall. As the Public Confidence starts to erode next year, more and more people will come over. In the end, somewhere between 32% and 72% of the people will switch their view. That is just how it works. So be patient. Everything will begin to come into focus. Even during the American Revolution, the majority were against the revolution. It was not until January 9th, 1776 when Tomas Paine issued his Common Sense that the tide began to turn. In his introduction Paine begins:

Perhaps the sentiments contained in the following pages, are not yet sufficiently fashionable to procure them general favor; a long habit of not thinking a thing wrong, gives it a superficial appearance of being right, and raises at first a formidable outcry in defense of custom. But the tumult soon subsides. Time makes more converts than reason…"

Since I spend most of my time on flylowsophia. What is this concept of independence, when it is fundamentally dependent? Perhaps, even stranger, (to me), what is this concept of interdependence when it so appeals for independence?

Could someone explain to me what independence is, because I have a really hard time understanding it.

    • razzz razzz

Security in numbers gives you independence in your spare time.

History repeats because human nature is chartable and you can see it coming. We are reaching a peak or a turning point. Aren't we lucky to get to live through it, maybe.

The only obvious exception seems to be Israel acting like a constant.

      • q Farthington MacMananus

razzz, imo, much of history is entirely bullshit.

Here I have a nice idea (it's rhetoric, excuse me). How about america stops all imports, exports and involvement outside of america?

Come on, go be independent. In fact, stop relying on the soil, the water, the air, the environment, in general;. If you're honestly talking about indepdendence.

There is actually something that is independent. That something, nothing.

        • razzz razzz

Not sure what your worry is. Take families as a microcosm of independent clusters. Compare that to 'it takes a village' to see how independence is lost.

History is just repeating human nature. Passive, revolt, passive, revolt, passive, revolt…

    'The Approaching Famine'

"…during the past 100 years, 94% of the world’s edible seed varieties have vanished.
The downside of socialism which has attacked the rich, we have sacrificed the historical model in our food supply for corporate decision making that bribes politicians handing them their needed money to remain in office with each election. The consequence of this corruption has been the concentration of our food supply into an ever-shrinking basket of diversity. Today, 75% of the world’s food comes from only 12 plants and 5 animal species (see source). This lack of biodiversity has seriously increased this risk of widespread crop disease, and throw in the climate change turning colder, corporate decisions are not the way to protect society. Corporate boards are typically dominated by lawyers and accountants. They are not scientists nor do they even make proper decisions for investment or currency hedging. Corporations will never be able to cope with a sudden change and then make decisions that will impact the world. Major companies, such as Monsanto, could find themselves in control of the fate of human existence with the decisions being made by lawyers and accountants fixated on their bottom-line…"

Famine won't come along undirected. There will be gentle nudging s, like in Yemen, NK and SK if not careful, Greece, maybe even Puerto Rico and places that the 'alliance' choses to go down first..some it's just a given.. like the native people's of the NW.. they will eat the toxic fish and then there will be no fish.

    • "Unintended Holistic Doctor Death Series: Now over 70"

I don't want to seem callous in any way concerning this subject and my intent is to help, not sling rumor or insult, that being said…

Many have fallen victim to substances that cross the blood brain barrier from antidepressants to something as natural as a plant extract (or simple alcohol) to whole plants such as hallucinogen mushrooms. If you ate peyote and thought you could fly and jumped from a 100 story building, what would be the true cause of your death?

Not confusing as to the cause of death, but not a definitive causal outcome either right?

What if you are a holistic practitioner that fed your family (or a patient) a untested and unapproved substance and that caused them to become mentally unbalanced/diseased? And they later found out?

Some of those deaths look suspicious but with no real details, we just can't form a real opinion on the true circumstances surrounding them.

And the shot in the chest case is a real head scratcher.

Ever heard of CTE? A known and proven fact among football players is that repeated concussion injuries makes them mentally erratic and prone to suicide and they now (now that these football players know of the disease) shoot themselves in the chest instead of the head so their brains can be examined later.

Can this same brain damage come from chemicals (natural or otherwise) taken (ingested) without proper research? You bet it can.

  • LIMITS OF CONVERSATION – MY DISCUSSION WITH PARTICIPANTS OF THE “ENENEWS”-FORUM
Source: http://analytischesozialkritik.blogsport.eu/ (The password is "Hera")
The codes to my freshly updated blog are as follows: “Die Universelle Lüge” (Refutation of the Book Genesis of Old Testament and the concept of “original sinfulness”, this text is only available in german and french) = Eva; “The Sign of the Zero – Mathematics and nihilism I” = Minerva; “F.A.Q. about ‘Mathematics and nihilism’” = Helena; “Grab’em by the pussy?! – Mathematics and nihilism II” = Lilith; “World of Miracles – Mathematics and nihilism III” = Pandora. To Kevin Blanch: I couldn’t raise any money for you in Switzerland, because people here just don’t believe you. You keep repeating yourself like a broken clock and your moral principles are fucked up. If you are so “altruist” and don’t valuate your life, are willing to sacrifice yourself and give your live away to strangers, why do you even care about the fact that the nuclear industry damages your health and that of others? To the people who erroneously assume they can lecture me on the meaning of the Gödel Theorems: shut up and get a life! What kind of qualifications do you have? The classroom or text book version of Gödel’s Theorems is watered-down for the simple reason of preventing young and idealistic science students from committing suicide. It is absolutely certain that no mathematician who accepts Gödel’s Theorems will be a proponent of capital T…

    • Great thoughts Wintermute!!!

Ya know that Kevin Blanch does not use levelheaded evidence in language ot additude but who has really listened to real scientific proof of nuclear poisions in our environment and took the least bit of action to stop it in the last 50 years? Not many…

And ya gotta figure after all this guy's been through (chemo and watching his friends die either suddenly from a heart attack or slowly from cancer) I can see his anger and also his lack of decorum…

Doesn't really help spread facts either when people get insulted by the language and anger of his videos.

However, many of his videos are based on real facts such as the banning of a individual to gather clams, mussles or oysters on the west coast…

Yep it has been illegal and a fine-able violation to get caught digging up any shellfish on the coast of California until last year when many places began to allow it again (through the outrage of beach goers and residents).

If they knew the level of toxins they were eating it wouldn't be a problem to "just say no" and not dig these creatures up and eat them. If in fact these families knew the dangers to themselves and their children, they would NEVER go to the beach and collect wild Bi-valve shellfish to eat ever again!

So Kevin Blanch does not have a ideal bedside manner, but the facts of this problem can't be denied if you are privy to real testing.
