18 Attorney Generals Just Sued Trump Over Consumer Protection Bureau Appointment

Attorneys General from 18 different states have banded together to sue the federal government over President Trump’s appointment of White House budget chief Mick Mulvaney to lead the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman announced the action via Twitter yesterday.

Aftershocks detected after North Korea nuclear test moved Earth's crust

If this one moved the crust..just think what the other 2053 Nuclear Bomb tests did worldwide to the crust.

Me thinks.. they might have broken the Earth..they have just not told us all yet!

She is shifting her axis and she is now redistributing all that bomb blast energy stored in her tectonic plates as we type.

I guess we humans are like bulls let loose in a China Shop..if we cannot buy or own what we see..we humans then somehow destroy it.. instead.

Mother Earth is screwed..we are just along for "the ride" we all created in unison.. now.

Me thinks "the ride" will get very bumpy in the near future.

As L.A. burns, Republicans vote for a tax hike on the victims
What a perfectly-timed way to pay for tax cuts for the rich: Raising taxes on victims of natural disasters

According to the Los Angeles Times, contained within the horrendous Republican tax bill is a literal tax hike on people whose property is destroyed or damaged by “natural disasters like hurricanes, tornadoes, floods and earthquakes." This will also affect "losses from fires, accidents, thefts or vandalism.” It turns out the Republicans decided to help pay for their tax cuts for the super-wealthy by eliminating the “casualty loss” tax deduction for victims of these natural disasters. An exemption in the law apparently excludes the victims of the Northern California fires I lived through. Victims of the fires happening right now in L.A. will not be exempted, however, at least according to the current iteration of the law. Rep. Mike Thompson, a Northern California Democrat, has described this tax hike as “cruel” and “heartless.”

Why Aren’t Americans Celebrating Fall of ISIL State? It Is A Bogeyman

The "war on terror," like the "war on drugs," has become a plot device for politics, not a rational policy

Other people are celebrating the defeat of Daesh (ISIS, ISIL) on the battlefield and its destruction as a territorial state.

Russia issued an announcement last week that ISIL has been wiped out in Syria.

Iraqi prime minister Haydar al-Abadi said Saturday that Iraq had been completely liberated from the terrorists.

In the U.S., there has been no victory parade, no official statement, nothing.

Given how much hysteria there was about ISIL in 2014, it is puzzling that its defeat has not been bigger news in the United States.

"Research using polls and questionnaires continue to show that 3 of every 4 doctors and scientists would refuse chemotherapy for themselves due to its devastating effects on the entire body and the immune system, and because of its extremely low success rate. On top of that, only 2 to 4% of all cancers even respond to chemotherapy or prove to be "life extending," yet it is prescribed across the board for just about every kind of cancer."

  • PlowboyGrownUp

"In the eye-opening video above (in the link), Dr. Hardin B. Jones, a former professor of medical physics and physiology at the University of California, Berkeley, discusses how 'leading edge' cancer treatment is a sham.

He has personally studied the life expectancy of patients for more than 25 years and has come to the conclusion that chemotherapy does more harm than good. The bone-chilling realization prompted Dr. Jones to speak out against the billion-dollar cancer industry."

Pentagon To Undergo First Ever Audit After Decades Of Sloppy Accounting And Missing Trillions

After decades of waste, overpayments, trillions of missing or improperly accounted for dollars, and most recently losing track of 44,000 US soldiers, the Pentagon is about to undergo its first audit in history conducted by 2,400 auditors from independent public accounting firms to conduct reviews across the Army, Navy, Air Force and more – followed by annual audits going forward.

Lawsuit Launched Against Trump EPA for Approving Fracking Waste Dumping Into Gulf of Mexico

The Center for Biological Diversity filed on Thursday a formal notice of intent to sue the Trump administration for allowing oil companies to dump waste from fracking and drilling into the Gulf of Mexico without evaluating the dangers to sea turtles, whales or other imperiled marine life.

In September the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) finalized a Clean Water Act permit for new and existing offshore oil and gas platforms operating in federal waters off the coasts of Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi. The permit allows oil companies to dump unlimited amounts of waste fluid, including chemicals involved in fracking, into the Gulf of Mexico.

"The Trump administration is letting the oil industry turn our oceans into toxic-waste dumps. The EPA's supposed to protect water quality, not help pollute the Gulf," said Kristen Monsell, a senior attorney at the Center for Biological Diversity. "It's time for the courts to remind this agency that its mission is to safeguard the environment and public health."

Thursday's notice letter highlighted the fact that the agency's approval of the permit without studying risks to imperiled species in the Gulf of Mexico is a violation of the federal Endangered Species Act.

California Is Running Out Of Prisoners To Fight Its Deadly Wildfires

While many on the left have celebrated California’s push to legalize marijuana as a victory for a progressive, harm-reduction approach to combating addiction and crime, the pullback in the number of low-level prisoners entering the state’s penal system is leaving the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection.

Court mandates to reduce overcrowding in the state’s prisons – combined with the legalization of marijuana, the most commonly used drug in America (aside from alcohol, of course) – have led to a sharp drop in the number of prisoners housed at state facilities in recent years. Interestingly, one byproduct of this trend is it’s creating headaches for the state officials who are responsible for coordinating the emergency wildfire response just as California Gov. Jerry Brown is warning that the severe fires witnessed this year – the most destructive in the state’s history – could become the new status quo.

To wit, since 2008, the number of prisoner-firemen has fallen 13%.

"It is also important to note that participants in this study were between eighteen and twenty-six. Researchers have shown that the prefrontal cortex does not fully mature until around age twenty-six. Ongoing research by Dr. Haruno is exploring if these findings apply to older adults with fully developed prefrontal cortices. The hope is that more fully developed pre-frontal cortices protect older adults from inequity-driven depression."

      • Gom

If it had been a neutron bomb the casualties would have been enormous and would have occurred very quickly, also as the design of a neutron bomb is to leave buildings and infrastructure intact it would not be a weapon considered in a actual munitions depot attack.

        The real questions are…

Did they have nuclear materials stored or being setup for a offensive attack in that depot?

Were there nuclear bombs or bomb making materials at that depot? Was that the real reason for the attack?

No nuclear weapon has ever gone super critical unless armed so the yield from stored materials or weapons would be low…

It would explain the low yield and the attack to begin with as well.

Just asking, I have no information one way or another but the flashes on the cameras and the size and configuration of the explosion (flaming mushroom cloud) sure makes ya wonder as this type of smaller than critical explosion would be indicative of a unarmed nuke being blown up…

Makes me want to go hummmmmmmmmmmm anyway.

It would be good info to have some rad readings from the area if anyone out there has any…

'The U.S. Army states cleanup involves removing the "the top layer of soil,"[59] which could be potentially devastating to an environment, especially if depleted uranium contaminates arable land or wetlands. Further, the cost involved in removing the topsoil from contaminated areas could be astronomical. As an example, the cost of cleaning up and disposing of the estimated 69,000 kg (152,000 lbs) of depleted uranium dust and debris on 200 hectares (500 acres) of the U.S. Army's Jefferson Proving Ground in Indiana has been placed at $4 to 5 billion (U.S.$).[60] The cost of cleaning up 290,000 kg (640,000 lbs) of depleted uranium on thousands of hectares in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Iraq could therefore easily be tens of billions of dollars (U.S.$).

A July, 1990 U.S. Army report warned: "Assuming U.S. regulatory standards and health physics practices are followed, it is likely that some form of remedial action will be required in a DU post-combat environment."[61] However, once the scale and cost of cleaning up depleted uranium in the Persian Gulf region became clear, the U.S. Army Environmental Policy Institute informed American policymakers that "no international law, treaty, regulation, or custom requires the United States to remediate the Persian Gulf War battlefields."[62]…

As the most powerful nation in the world today, the United States established a standard of behavior in the Gulf War which allows nations and armed forces to use depleted uranium weapons without taking any responsibility for cleanup, environmental restoration, or provision of health care to exposed combatants or civilians.'

…the cost of cleaning up and disposing of the estimated 69,000 kg (152,000 lbs) of depleted uranium dust and debris on 200 hectares (500 acres) of the U.S. Army's Jefferson Proving Ground in Indiana ?

    NRC Report..Have people gone mad?

    *1st report on page

    • This is insane!!!

      50 mCi of Am-241????

Here's a excerpt from the report text:

"Sources that are "Less than IAEA Category 3 sources," are either sources that are very unlikely to cause permanent injury to individuals or contain a very small amount of radioactive material that would not cause any permanent injury"

So something that will be the cause of your death at 1 billionth of a gram (Am-241) won't cause permanent injury?

      What a total crock….

If this thieving idiot touched the gauge and then smoked a cigarette or ate something without decontamination, he is a dead man from AM-241 exposure. That's not if, it's when…

…and that will be the cause of death for anyone handling that gauge without protective gear and decontamination immediately afterwards. Even if it takes a year or more to kill them.

And a fool that will leave something like that in the back of a open pickup truck overnight just shows us once again of the slack attitude and no security regarding one of the most deadly substances on earth.

As a alpha emitter Am-241 is almost impossible to detect with a common GM counter but the chemical and radioactive effects are certain, if ingested, it will kill you.

Wow "downplay it" seems to be the norm today huh…

They ARE costy but ya get the truth instead of some guess and rumor that these GM counter guys (and gals) constantly have opinions about but no real evidence to make a real confirmed decision…

I wish more would go this route and know instead of guessing and listening to the many others that buy a 100 dollar counter that tells them nothing, and the soap opera crowd can and will say whatever suits them about a simple click count!!!

Find the truth with a real detector, then you'll know the truth!

And the truth (even if it's scary) will set you free!!!

You go gasser, way to actually make a effort to find out what's real!!!!!

It'a panic reaction that I have witnessed many times when speaking of radiation and hidden toxins that can be hidden in our own backyards.

I think it's simply more than some can handle…

But it's also wild horses that don't want to change.

Wild Horses "Acoustic" – The Rolling Stones Stripped:

I try to avoid these toxic things through sound simple practices…

Careful is not a "undoable" thing and careful can lessen the chances of eating a hot particle or ingesting a toxic chemical. Filter your water, hepa vacuums only and small room air filters being very careful with filter and bag changes (I change bags and filters outside the home).

I (personally) also use GC monitoring the main room of my home (24-7) for a average. Kinda like a radiation smoke detector.

If it goes beep, we have a problem.

And for those that think it's better to ignore a threat than to study it and avoid it too, think about this…

So most think there is nothing we can do about it and some think the world is ending… We've all been dying since we were borne and the earth has been ending since it began…

              …regardless of what we think.

I will answer your follow up question with a statement of truth (dont you just hate when that happens?)

                      here it is;

Either you are not intelligent enough to follow my expose on the background to man made fallout conundrum, or you are. Either way, it does not look good

                    • Or to be more precise…

…let's compare the dose coefficient of Hershey chocolate to a cow turd…

The dose coefficient? a pound of chocolate produces almost 3/4 pound of manure…

No man made heavy metals were harmed in the making of that study.

Here's my favorite investigator to tell ya more…

                      Hehehe… 🙂

                    • Morning code..

                      Code says:

"Either you are not intelligent enough to follow my expose on the background to man made fallout conundrum, or you are. Either way, it does not look good"

Let's take a look at this subject for the 20th time…

If your extensive hunt to compare a natural substance to a man made poison was simple and to the point (like this true statement) you wouldn't even be looking for a irrelevant comparison between the two…

Comparing k-40 to cesium is a old trick to distract and make comparable comparisons to substances that are in NO way comparable.

It's like trying to compare a dog turd smashed into a square to a organic brownie.

k-40 is NEVER found in nature alone, NEVER!!!

                      1) k-40 is a minute part of potassium and is not, nor has it ever been, a risk to a healthy person in any consumable amount, in any way whatsoever. k40 is a natural element that the body controls without problems in any consumable amount from a natural source…

A healthy person could not consume enough natural k-40 through potassium for it to ever be a problem. K-40 in potassium is also a micro nutrient needed by the nervous system for proper health.

Cesium 137 on the other hand is a highly toxic man made heavy metal poison that we locate by looking for it's radioactive signature.

So there is no dose comparison, there is no coefficient because these 2 completely different substances are handled by the body in completely different ways.

                    • If you want to study dose coefficients in a actual comparable way (that would help to understand natural versus man made)…

…you should study the exposure and dose coefficient between naturally occurring uranium undisturbed in it's original location underground (before mined)…

…to the dose coefficient of tailings after mined…

…to the dose coefficient of enriched uranium…

…to the dose coefficient of the spent fuel elements in a single rod after it has been in a reactor…

Now there's a true comparison study that makes sense, IS in fact comparable and provides relevant health information on completion…

Try that one code, that would be a worthwhile battle to undertake.

                    • CodeShutdown CodeShutdown

HD, your analysis of the toxicity of cesium and potassium is not scientific, not valid, incorrect. That would be OK if you would have updated your knowledge from the many times I corrected the mistakes.

I choose potassium as a comparison because thats what Woods Hole, NOAA and many other official agencies use as a comparison to fallout. Why do you have difficulty grasping that?

Here is an analogy…if the agriculture corporations compared pinto beans to castor beans, saying there are more pinto beans than castor beans in the can of beans and thus the castor beans are not to be considered dangerous, then in order to argue the point, you would find toxicology of both pinto beans and castor beans, not lima beans and ju ju beans.

Heres the real problem with your responses; since you got here you followed my posts with many unfounded criticisms. Relentlessly. Thats not debate, not discourse, simply being an arse. Its not as if everyone doesnt see it. Hippie Dog wears no clothes

                  • In our next simple lesson we will compare a dental xray to plutonium…

This also is NOT comparable on ANY level…

A dental xray exposes you to way more (more than 100's of times as much) radiation when compared to the proven lethal dose of plutonium (one billionth of a gram of plutonium is lethal).

So you can't compare plutonium to a dental xray.

The toxicity is the cause and has little to do with the radiation dose, and the only reason I say little is because the ONLY thing a dental xray and plutonium have in common is radioactivity and even the type of radiation is not the same.

Stay tuned for more apple to orange, completely unrelated, dose coefficient comparisons.

As a general rule, the nuke industry says alpha emitters are 20x worse per becquerel than gamma and beta. So they do compare all of these radioactive sources. Its done all the time and the dose coefficients are published. So your assertion is simply incorrect. But would you admit it? Why do you argue impotently in this way?

Incentive for Terrorism: The US Has Taken Nearly 70 Percent of the World's Wealth Gains Since 2012

America's super-rich are taking not only from their own nation, but also from the rest of the world. Data from the 2017 Global Wealth Databook (GWD: Table 2-4) and various war reports help to explain why we're alienating people outside our borders.

From 2012 to 2017, global wealth increased by $37.7 trillion, and U.S. wealth increased by $26 trillion. Thus, largely because of a surging stock market, our nation took nearly 70 percent of the entire global wealth gain over the past five years. Based on their dominant share of U.S. wealth, America's richest 10% — much less than 1% of the world's adult population — took over HALF the world's wealth gain in the past five years.

Trump Takes a Stand on Corruption — by Withdrawing the US From Anti-Corruption Pact

The degree of corruption displayed by the Trump administration is on a scale that is hard to keep track of, and hits so close to home that we often forget about the wider global implications of having an incompetent, at best, and more likely a traitorous "president." As many of us have realized since Day 1, the antics of the Distractor-in-Chief have served as excellent cover for his real agenda: covertly implementing pro-corporate policies.

In this vein, another international issue that flew under the radar recently was the withdrawal of the US last month from the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) as an implementing country. Through President Barack Obama, the US joined the "Anti-Corruption Pact," as it has been called, in 2011.

On Eve of Alabama Senate Election, a Look at Roy Moore’s Racism, Homophobia & Religious Fanaticism

  • DUDe DUDe

The Racist Voter Suppression Law That May Allow Moore to Win

If Roy Moore narrowly defeats Doug Jones in this week’s Senate race, he may have an obscure 1903 Supreme Court case to thank.

The case, Giles v. Harris , upheld Alabama’s successful campaign to prevent African Americans from casting ballots despite the constitutional guarantee of the right for black people to vote.

Its ramifications can be felt to this day: about 15 percent of otherwise qualified African American residents of Alabama have been barred from voting in recent elections.

In a state where 90 percent of eligible blacks vote Democratic, that can make the difference in this week’s closely watched Senate election.

Alabama’s unequal approach to voting can be traced to its 1901 constitution, drawn up to prevent black citizens from voting.

Have you heard of SLAPP lawsuits? You soon will.

"SLAPP stands for “Strategic Lawsuit Against Public Participation.” It is a lawsuit brought by big corporations intended to censor, intimidate, and silence critics by burdening them with the overwhelming costs of a legal defense until they’re forced to abandon their criticism or opposition. And it may be the biggest threat to the resistance you’ve never heard of. "

"Resolute based its lawsuit on a U.S. conspiracy and racketeering law (RICO) intended to ensnare mobsters. Resolute alleged that the environmental groups have been illegally conspiring to extort the company’s customers and to defraud their own donors."

"But, again, winning isn’t necessarily the goal of SLAPP suits. Just by filing the suits, Energy Transfer Partners and Resolute are trying to drain environmental groups of time, energy, and resources they need, so they can’t continue to fight to protect the environment."

Connect the dots, and consider the chilling effect SLAPP suits are having on any group seeking to protect public health, worker’s rights, and even our democracy.

Who’s behind all of this? Both the lawsuits I just mentioned were filed by Michael Bowe. He is also a member of Donald Trump’s personal legal team. Bowe has publicly stated that he’s in conversations with other corporations considering filing their own SLAPP lawsuits."

Trump’s Jerusalem Decision Risks Uniting the Entire Arab World Against the US

The immediate consequence of Trump’s action is that the US becomes weaker because it has carried out another initiative of which the rest of the world disapproves. A superpower at the height of its strength might get away with such a demarche, but not a politically divided US, its influence already ebbing because of failures in Iraq and Afghanistan. The move is so obviously against US foreign policy interests that it will further persuade other world leaders that Trump is an impossible ally.

The move could have other dangerous consequences. There is a myth that the Israeli-Palestinian struggle was not an issue that concerned Osama bin Laden or played a role in the rise of al-Qaeda. In fact, bin Laden’s speeches and writings are full of references to the Palestinians – and his first public utterances in the 1980s were calls for a boycott of American goods because of its backing for Israel.

    People also ask…

How many nuclear reactors are in France?

France derives about 75% of its electricity from nuclear energy, due to a long-standing policy based on energy security. This share may be reduced to 50% by 2025. France is the world's largest net exporter of electricity due to its very low cost of generation, and gains over €3 billion per year from this.

Without "hot spots" in the brain, cell phones wouldn't work.

That one gave me a good chuckle.

Too bad cell phones create "hot spots" in the brain. As evidenced by the growing number of astrocytomas.

Not the same thing however. Like comparing apples and oranges.

            • A new way to measure mobile phone ‘hot spots’ in the brain

"Researchers have found a novel, non-invasive technique for measuring brain hot spots caused by electromagnetic radiation from mobile phones, according to a study published today. … 'This study essentially presents the worst case scenario in terms of radiation-heated brain tissue…'….Dec 17, 2012

              • When a person puts a cell phone up to the ear, the microwaves pass through the ear to the cells in the brain to be heard directly by the brain and not by the ear. These cells are shaped and of a length to interact with the length of the microwaves.

Anyone can read Kane's book. He developed mobile phones according to science for Motorola and tested the cell phones and wrote his book while dying of incurable brain cancer caused by testing the cell phones.

                "Excerpts from the book:

"[A] repeated insult or irritation to a particular biological area, such as a small region of the brain, can lead to irreparable damage. [G]iven the existence of energy absorption "hot spots"

". . . each damaging exposure to radiofrequency radiation provides a new opportunity that the damage will become permanent."

"[W]e can expect that no warning of brain tissue destruction would be provided to a cellular telephone user until the damage was so extensive that the scalp, which absorbs very little energy, sensed heating."

"Every action which occurs within that individual’s life during that next week will be affected by the EEG modifications resulting from the portable cellular telephone call."

"[E]arlier, researchers have consistently reported that
transmitting antennas could not be operated close to the human body—the human head-without violating the safe exposure limits.”

"[T]he shape of the skull, thickness of sub-cutaneous fat, muscle layering, and how an individual holds a portable cellular telephone each contributes to make the energy absorption different from one individual to another. The important common factor, however, is that all individuals will absorb a large portion of the radiation."

"Today we know that even a single exposure to low level
radiofrequency radiation causes damage to the DNA makeup of brain cells." [cont.]

Cellular Telephone Russian Roulette: A Historical and Scientific Perspective, by Robert C. Kane

He holds a BSEE from the Midwest College of Engineering, an MSEE with an emphasis in electromagnetics from the Illinois Institute of Technology and also at the Illinois Institute of Technology, has completed the full course of study and research leading to the Ph.D. in electrical engineering with emphasis in the fields of electromagnetics and solid-state physics. As a research scientist and product design engineer, he has been directly involved with programs and projects for the design and development of portable cell phones, radio frequency mobile radios, microwave telecommunications systems, video display systems, and biological effects research.”

There is also evidence strong RF/MW (radio frequency and microwave) transmissions (such as microwave from cell phone towers and smart meters) disrupt the flow of cellular energy within a minute of exposure.

Human blood, visualized with an electron scanning microscope, shows evidence of disruption of blood cell activity and structure, within a short time after exposure begins.

                    See this:

"More than 5,000 studies now show RF/MW radiation to be harmful to human biology, animals and plants. Acute and chronic exposure to RF (radio-frequency) and MW (microwave) radiation can, even at very low power-densities, lead to not only the negative health effects shown in this video, but calcium ion damage in cells, endothelial cell dysfunction, nitric oxide depletion, oxidative stress, melatonin disruption, blood-brain-barrier leakage, DNA damage, sperm damage and more.

Glucose metabolism changes within the brain are observable after just minutes of cell phone use.

The mechanisms for damage from non-thermal, non-ionising radiation exposure are now becoming clear.

Unfortunately, so-called “safety” thresholds maintained in the UK are woefully out of date and obsolete, permitting a deluge of highly-profitable, RF-emitting technologies to be introduced into our lives. …"

Implication of cell phone use in astrocytomas, gliomas (brain cancers):

Cell phones and glioma risk: A review of the evidence

                      Mobile Phones and Head Tumors…

"Blind protocols, free from errors, bias, and financial conditioning factors, give positive results that reveal a cause-effect relationship between long-term mobile phone use or latency and statistically significant increase of ipsilateral head tumour risk, with biological plausibility.

Non-blind protocols, which instead are affected by errors, bias, and financial conditioning factors, give negative results with systematic underestimate of such risk. However, also in these studies a statistically significant increase in risk of ipsilateral head tumours is quite common after more than 10 years of mobile phone use or latency.

The meta-analyses, ours included, examining only data on ipsilateral tumours in subjects using mobile phones since or for at least 10 years, show large and statistically significant increases in risk of ipsilateral brain gliomas and acoustic neuromas.

Our analysis of the literature studies and … results from meta-analyses of the significant data alone shows an almost doubling of the risk of head tumours induced by long-term mobile phone use or latency."

                    • HoTaters HoTaters

"The authors conclude that there is adequate epidemiologic evidence to suggest a link between prolonged cell phone usage and the development of an ipsilateral brain tumor."

Researchers conclude wireless radiation causes cancer

"Wireless routers and devices such as tablets, laptops, baby monitors and cell phones all emit this type of radiation.
The State of the Science: The Debate is Over

Professor of Oncology Lennart Hardell, MD, PhD, and Statistician Michael Carlberg of Orebro University Hospital, Sweden found a 3-fold risk with 25 or more years of cell and cordless phone use in a study published October 2014 in Pathophysiology. Very significant was the finding that people who first used mobile or cordless phones before the age of 20 had the highest risk.

Increased wireless phone use also correlated with lower survival rates for people diagnosed with the most malignant gliomas in a second study published in the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health by the same researchers. Hardell and Carlberg stated, 'Due to the relationship with survival, the classification is strengthened.'"

The article above in Waking Times gives really good information on WiFi risks (and the risks of RF radiation) from international researchers.

Don't hold your cell phone close to your head! We got an RF meter, and the iPhones tested give off very strong RF fields, even when TURNED OFF. My recommendation is don't sleep with them within 20 feet of your body. Mine stays downstairs and turned off at night.

Also can't sleep well with WiFi on near me, so that's another thing I'm thankful for. I know when I'm getting exposed. But that also may mean I'm at higher risk since I'm EMF sensitive. All the WiFi has to be turned off at night here.

My spouse used to work for a major telecommunications firm, so am hoping the lifetime exposure to WiFi and microwave frequencies doesn't become a health issue later.

We are bombarded with ionizing and non-ionizing radiation of all kinds.

That most people don't have hardwired phones and landlines now is sad. We couldn't get phone service here w/o having a wireless router. It's in the garage. Should test it with the meter….

Will probably shield the garage this year to keep the RF and EMF from the router and stupid meters from entering the house.

Hoping to get the stupid meters out of here soon. Just working a lot & haven't had time.

has good information on this subject.

Of note: laptop battery charger cables often emit strong RF frequencies, too. Mine does.

Probably should be using the Mac Laptop as the cable doesn't seem to have this issue.

The one used with the HP laptop does.

Need to get Ethernet back in here. We're in a new home, so we don't have our Ethernet set up. It really does help limit the RF/EMF exposure.

HoTaters, I worked in the military fixing radios. Before the microwave oven, we had fun holding a hotdog up to a radar antenna and keying the transmitter to cook it. Warning sign on a 200 watt transmitter recommended staying 10 feet away from the antenna when keyed. The power is one problem but the operating frequency, the carrier wave, may interfere with things on that frequency or resonate frequencies. Not enough research has been done to know how the frequency might be affecting us.

Is that supposed to prove "hot spots" make cell phones work?

Or just that cell phones cause "hot spots" to develop?

                  • "[E]arlier, researchers have consistently reported that transmitting antennas could not be operated close to the human body—the human head-without violating the safe exposure limits.”

I quoted this above from Kane's book.

The certain shaped cells in the brain that allow direct hearing of the microwave transmissions by the brain are also those most affected by the radiation.

Children get brain tumors FIVE TIMES more when using cell phones than children who don't use cell phones. It has been hypothesized that children using cell phones will either be dead or have Alzheimer's by the time they reach 30 years old.

Children are TEN TO THIRTY-EIGHT TIMES more sensitive to radiation. Skin cancer later in life can come from a child's sunburns.

                    • Childhood Sun Exposure Increases Skin Cancer Risk Later in Life

“Exposure to the sun's harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays increases skin cancer risk, which can be dangerous and even deadly. Suffering one or more blistering sunburns in childhood or adolescence more than doubles a person's chances of developing potentially-deadly melanoma later in life.” Jul 2, 2013

                    • HoTaters HoTaters

That's not the same as hot spots in the brain allowing the cell phone to work.

                    • But that's not what I said. I just said that without the hot spots the cell phone wouldn't work. I.e., you couldn't hear the phone by putting it up to your ear if there weren't cells in the brain that can hear microwaves.

Of course, now I have a cell phone which has a speaker phone so I can listen and talk with the cell phone far from me. But the microwaves are still impacting my brain all the time and the rest of my body's organs and cells. And the microwaves DO cause double strand breakage of DNA which has been proven by many lab experiments.

I hear the ocean of microwaves all the time because I was born before they existed. I don't hear anything more than an ocean of undifferentiated waves of microwaves. They remind me that the microwaves are pulsed microwaves pulsing at the rate of 1600 times per second.

                    • CodeShutdown CodeShutdown

cell phone 'pulse rate' or more accurately the carrier frequency is more like 900 million times per second. I didnt look into it, but I would stake a bet that all cell phones had some kind of speaker and dont rely on direct demodulation of microwaves to hear them

                    • Horse Horse

RF energy can cause water and fat to heat up, known as Dielectric Heating. Holding a cell phone up to your ear will cause surrounding tissue, your brain, to heat up. The power falls off rapidly with distance so keep a couple feet distance from low power sources like cell phones and wi-fi. The ear is only sensitive to the audio range of RF, 20hz to 20Khz. There are no cells in the body that can hear microwaves. 20Khz does not travel very far. The audio signal is modulated onto a carrier wave by the equipment's electronics to increase the transmission range and demodulated at the receiving end back into audio to feed to speakers so you can hear it.

              • Yepper holding that thing (cell phone) to your head all the time is a proven problem…

Speakerphone it at least 6 inches away from your body…

The Antifa Movement — Coming to a Theater Near You

What is "antifa," and who is backing and benefiting from its actions?
            Mark Alexander · Sep. 6, 2017

“ 'Let the American youth never forget, that they possess a noble inheritance, bought by the toils, and sufferings, and blood of their ancestors; and capacity, if wisely improved, and faithfully guarded, of transmitting to their latest posterity all the substantial blessings of life, the peaceful enjoyment of liberty, property, religion, and independence.' —Joseph Story (1833)

Most Americans — those with jobs, families and community obligations and responsibilities — had likely not heard of 'antifa' before throngs of its masked thugs initiated the riots in Charlottesville last month — though the 'group' played dominant roles in riots at Berkeley University in February and Evergreen State College in June.

            What, then, is antifa?

Correctly stated, it is a domestic derivative of 'Antifaschistische Aktion,' the paramilitary wing of the 1930s communist movement in Germany.

Reemerging in the U.S. in the 1990s under Bill Clinton, it has metastasized … under Barack Obama’s regime into an autonomous collective of radical 'useful idiots.'

The movement was invigorated by Obama’s Marxist agenda and that of his socialist bourgeoisie cadres. It coalesced around Obama’s revolution-tested politics of disparity, as instilled in him by his Marxist mentors…"

            • HoTaters HoTaters

"This growing radical anarchist/socialist movement, also referred to as the 'alt-left,' declares that it is anti-fascist — but this is Orwellian. In truth, the movement bears strong resemblance to Hitler’s brownshirt fascists, whom they claim to oppose. As American Enterprise Institute fellow Marc Thiessen aptly notes in a Washington Post op-ed: 'Yes, antifa is the moral equivalent of neo-Nazis. … Both practice violence and preach hate. They are morally indistinguishable. There is no difference between those who beat innocent people in the name of the ideology that gave us Hitler and Himmler and those who beat innocent people in the name of the ideology that gave us Stalin and Dzerzhinsky.'

Over the last eight years, the Occupy Wall Streeters and their kissin’ cousins, the so-called 'Black Lives Matter' cabal, have had a hand in every urban-area riot across America. Like them, the antifa thugs typically organize protests using social media accounts, websites and email blasts.

In 2016, the antifa movement was further energized by the socialist platform of Bernie Sanders, until his presidential campaign was bushwhacked by the Democrat National Committee and Hillary Clinton.

Currently there are organizational links between antifa and Obama’s Organization for Action, which is 'preparing' the next generation of 'community organizers.' Of course, there are also links with billionaire communist George Soros and his plethora of Marxist subsidiaries."

So the bottom line is really that the communist philosophers accurately predicted that capitalism would become corrupted … just as communism became corrupted by rulers who lived in the lap of luxury and gave themselves all the perks while they imposed poverty and extreme oppression on their people.

Indeed, anyone who assumes that any system – communism, capitalism or any other “ism” – is infallible and that its leaders don’t have to be held accountable is just a useful idiot.

I think a large part of the problem with both communism and late stage capitalism is too much power in too few hands – whether in the hands of the “Party” or of the oligarchy of big banks (made enormous by the government, not by free market capitalism), the outcome is the same … the little guy gets shafted.

Column FCC chairman jokes about being a Verizon shill, days before forcing an FCC vote that would be a boon for Verizon

After all, he was appearing as the featured speaker at the annual dinner of the Federal Communications Bar Assn. That’s a group of which he was once a member, as an in-house Washington attorney for the big telecommunications firm Verizon.

Therefore, he could count on his audience appreciating his inside jokes about prominent members of the telecom bar and the issues they’ve brought to the FCC on behalf of their corporate clients.

Leaving aside that many of his quips fell flat, especially a giocoso reference to President Trump’s designation of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel that elicited groans and at least one exclamation of profane disgust audible on the tape, Pai may not have counted on his speech getting beamed to a much larger audience. But one of his listeners recorded his entire act on a smartphone, and leaked it to Gizmodo.

Same irresponsible lies for propaganda and endangered those actually trying to help with rescue, no place for that total bunk brain washing tripe here.

Here's one they ran with for a month or more with every ridiculous lie they could come up with to support this fairy tale.

Our top politicians involved in child porn (pizza gate)?

Another completely unfounded and proven lie used to illicit a response and effect elections.

No place for that total bunk here.

Cern is a time machine? Aliens are real and have already landed?

                Foolishness beyond belief.

And the truly sad part is I could go on with examples of insane propaganda stories posted here all day.

If you believe any of this kind of child like tripe a few mentally ill or outright nefarious people constantly post here seek help.

So who's messing this site (a environmental site) up?

Those that expose these lies? Or those spreading the lies.

Simple to understand and even simple to spot them.

Just keep track of those that attack someone for telling and exposing the truth.

And then watch them as they spread even more unfounded lies to start rumors in the same paragraph.

                    • Not fighting pizza gate (a now known and proven lie)…

                      What am I actually fighting?

Fighting lies, fighting propaganda spreaders, fighting those that gravitate to a soap opera statement for attention, fighting lairs who spread rumor and fake news for some perceived benefit for themselves or their agenda.

Fighting those that discredit the good with faked information.

And finally fighting those that have mental illness and think they are smart so that maybe they will realize they need help…

                      ..and then get some.

It's rare for a mentally ill person to actually seek help because they think they are smart and doing the right thing…

…but are actually doing wrong and creating unnecessary damage for nothing.

And that my friend is one of the actual definitions of the (psychosis) mental illness disease…

Fighting lies is a noble battle, using and participating in lies is a disease.

                      That's a 1 + 1 thing folks…

Don't you think it odd that the Cali fires "are fueled by the Santa Ana
winds".. All the way to San Diego?

Many forests exist, why is it that only the Cali fires rage?

                  Research the weather. Nada.

There is nothing to support this.

                  The Canada fires? Same thing.

There will always be 'agendas'. Unfortunately, those agendas now are backed by progressive, radical, state-of-the-art unconventional technology.

                  • It's a situation not unlike a recipe….

1st We have years of people rushing to put out small fires that actually consume the dead materials and create ash for fertilizer… And they never take the dead materials away and burn them under control to place the ashes back into the area for the natural health of the plants…

2nd Pollution, radiation and disease has killed record numbers of plants in these areas (could be a direct result of the lack of ash and pest protection from the natural renewing processes of fires put out by man).

3rd The VERY low humility in the winds relentlessly blowing in that area for months has accelerated dryness of these materials and the spread of any small fire that breaks out.

If the fire fighters can't get there in time (sometimes in moments depending where the small fire broke out) there is little chance of getting these blazes under control.

Once they are burning they create their own "fanning of the flames" from the updraft of heated air from the fire and this effect actually feeds and fans the fire like the updraft from a fireplace chimney.

There's the actual science and facts behind those large outtacontrol fires…

I hope others that are confused by this whole thing can see this and understand it, that's the reason I took the time to post these true facts…

And if more average people knew the true wildfire risks 10 years ago and demanded action, we would not be seeing this problem today..

Hmmn, let me see if I've got this right. The electric car owners aren't paying the fuel tax for highway infrastructure. And older vehicles using more gas are paying a disproportionate share.

I've got the answer! Just tax everyone for every mile they drive, and keep collecting the gas tax. Yeah, that's the ticket!

Now we have to go after all the duck hunters, hunters, and off-road 4WD vehciles with the muddy license plates we can't read with our roadway scanners.

Can't be letting those people get away w/o paying their fair share of taxes, can we?

    • HoTaters HoTaters

The gas tax is new. Why are they saying, "not enough revenue"?

California's gas tax increases Wednesday, and the political fallout is likely to spill over into 2018 elections

      Patrick McGreevy
      Oct 31, 2017

"A state gas tax increase of 12 cents per gallon kicks in Wednesday … while the immediate impact will mean less money in motorists' wallets, the long-term political fallout could roll into next year, when the higher levies are expected to be an issue in elections across California.

… the vitriol between Democrats who supported the new taxes and Republicans who opposed them kicked up months ago, well before the first newly taxed gallon will be pumped tomorrow.

The tax increase has triggered proposed ballot initiatives to repeal the hikes from members of the GOP …. A recall campaign and attack ads have been launched against legislators who voted for the higher levies. And multiple court battles … have begun.

Just last week, two lawmakers who voted for the April transportation package that included the gas tax increases came under fire in radio ads ….

The ads target Democratic assemblymen Joaquin Arambula of Fresno and Eduardo Garcia of Coachella — both of whom represent rural districts and are up for reelection in 2018. They point out that Californians already pay more than average in fuel taxes compared with other states."

      • HoTaters HoTaters

We've collected those durned new increased gas taxes for a whole six weeks now, and it just ain't enough money for us! We must have MORE.

          • This was an issue in the 2008 primaries between Obama and Hillary. Hillary was against nuclear energy and wanted to change NAFTA to protect against the environmental toxins coming into the US from Canada.

The reason you and Putin dislike Hillary so much is because you just want to make money off dirty energy and you don't care what happens to people or the earth.

Hillary actually won the 2008 primaries, but the Democratic elite voted for Obama and overrode the primaries. Hillary also won the popular vote by 3,000,000 votes over Trump. But all you pro-Trump supporters don't care about the environment or hat happens to a child once it is born.

Also as a Senator Hillary tried to get nuclear power plants closed down in New York, and she tried to get all ingredients listed on herbicides and pesticides. But again all you making money off industries that destroy the environment don't care about clean air, clean water, and clean food. You think your money will save you, but didn't you even hear about the Midas touch?

The Chinese got ICBM technology thanks to the Clintons.

Ron Brown died because he was going to blow the whistle on that deal, which was against State Dept. regulations at the time.

The person from Commerce said Ron Brown was coming out with information damaging to the Clintons. Three days later his plane went down in Eastern Europe.

A short time afterward the Chinese had the ICBM technical information. Leaking that information was leaking state secrets.

Under the Clintons they reduced the national debt and balanced the budget. Also the economy under the Clintons was the best we have had. And we didn't have any foreign wars.

Thanks so much for the Bush wars and killing at least 1,000,000 Iraqis and destroying the Middle East and all the water in Libya.

Yes, republicans have done great damage but they didn't do it alone. We all are to blame. Not just the politicians.

            • Hillary went to Japan to get them to soften on NWO rollout, and in exchange buy their radioactive food to feed to Americans.

          • “Do not use gasoline containing MMT (Methylcyclopentadienyl Manganese Tricarbonyl). MMT is a gasoline additive that is used by some refiners to boost octane. It contains the metal manganese. This additive contaminates your engine components and exhaust emission control system, and can lead to a significant increase in emissions and a loss in performance and fuel economy. Damage caused by the use of fuels containing MMT mat not be covered under warranty. Gasoline containing MMT is not common in the United States. It is prohibited in federal reformulated gasoline and in all California gasoline. However, MMT has been found in some fuels in the Southwest, mountain states, and the northwest area of New York State. MMT is more prevalent in gasoline sold in Canada, but lately many MMT-free fuels have become available. Regardless of location, the presence of MMT in the fuel will not be indicated on the pump, so it is important to ask your fueling station if their gasoline contains this additive. Alternatively, you may contact the customer service department of your preferred fuel brand with this question.
If you notice any undesirable operating symptoms, try another service station or switch to another brand of gasoline.”

Hey, Code, I wanted to read more about manganese being radio protective, so I went over to Cafe rad lab.
I'm only working with a small screen and it's kind of confusing. It's like a big house with a lot of rooms but I can't find the room I'm looking for or even where all the people are. I can't even find a room where there's a bowl of water and maybe some dry kibble. And of course once I'd been there awhile I was looking for a little box of kitty litter but there wasn't even that. Not even a pair of random abandoned shoes…
Anyway I was interested in manganese because years ago when I was in the middle of the mercury poisoning decades, I would get these monster leg cramps at 3 or 4 in the morning, where it felt like the tendon was going to rip out of the bone. Manganese was the cure. Worked in 2 or 3 days and it wasn't even very high doses.
So, can you tell me the name of the thread at Cafe radlab that talks about manganese?

                    • Sorry you have viewing trouble due to your monitor, danger kitty. Does the search function appear at the top? It works really well, results are very relevant and not loaded with other, unrelated items.

                    I found this –>
Not want I wanted, but you might be interested because it mentions this–>"The ICRP is updating its recommendations regarding occupational exposure to radionuclides including the biokinetic models used to derive dose coefficients and assess bioassay data for internally deposited radionuclides. "
It's from January 2011, though, so I guess that 'update ' withered on the vine a few months later. Not in their best interest…

I hate to see you go Code. Your intellect and writing style is quit unique..

                      Thanks, Code.
I understand your sentiments about enenews. You do great research and take a lot of time to explain it in a way that we can use.
To have all that effort disrespected by a box of rocks that can't even follow what you are saying is just plain disgusting.
Makes it real plain what his intent is.

Clean gas, lawsuits, freeways and bridges and roads cost money. Why shouldn't those who use the resources more pay more instead of making everyone pay the same amount.

                  How did that turn out?

Who pays/may pay the same amount?

Trucks, buses, gas cars, electric cars, bicycles, motorcycles, scooters, heavy freight, pedestrians?

                  • Sorry about that. I was in a hurry to leave. But it at least explains what the problem is and why California gas is so expensive.

Some people say the only fair tax is an income tax. All other taxes hurt the poor. Someone did a study in a large city in Michigan or Illinois(?). I showed that the poor people in the middle of the city paid for all the new roads and services of the richer people who moved to be suburbs.

I imagine these guys don't give a ratzazz.

"Since the average owner-operator runs around 125,000 miles per year and the national average for fuel tax is 23cents per gallon, the average trucker spends about $4,800 in fuel tax each year."

      Article is 9yrs old hahaha.

Since all cars have had computer 'memories' for 20+ years, this will be some easy fruit. No problem.

Expect something like it. Or at inspection/smog time. Or many other ways.

No one thought that this would not happen? Use roads for free? 😆

Zionism in the Light of Jerusalem

Donald Trump’s official recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel is an embarrassment. A salutary embarrassment.

It’s a clumsy, all-too-obvious unmasking of decades of bipartisan U.S. policy whose contempt for Palestinians has been cloaked with a smile and a handshake.

After all, Israel’s relentless Judaization of East Jerusalem, consistent with its long-held declaration of sovereignty over the entire city, was proceeding swimmingly, with only the feeblest occasional murmurs of protest, accompanied by massive countervailing deliveries of arms and money, from the peace-process-loving governments of Europe and America. Trump’s gratuitous, self-aggrandizing gesture, by unmasking that as the de facto acceptance of annexation that it is, only brings unwanted attention to the whole rotten game, and to the hypocrisy of those governments especially.

EPA Refuses to Release Documents Backing Scott Pruitt's Climate Denial

Mike Ludwig, Truthout: The EPA appears to be unwilling or unable to find any specific documents backing up Administrator Scott Pruitt's claim that carbon pollution is not a primary contributor to climate change. Meanwhile, President Trump just signed a defense bill declaring climate change a national security threat, contradicting his own skepticism and efforts to derail pollution controls.

Historic Youth Climate Lawsuit Poised to Advance

A landmark climate change lawsuit brought by a group of children appears poised to move forward after a Monday hearing at a federal appeals court, despite the Trump administration's efforts to dismiss the case.

Juliana v. United States was filed in 2015 on behalf of 21 young plaintiffs who argue that their constitutional and public trust rights are being violated by the government's creation of climate danger.

Maybe this has been posted here before now, but I haven't seen it. Anyway a guy called Michael Shellenberger has announced that he is running for governor in California. He's what he calls an Eco modernist, whatever the f*** that is, but what he means is he's pro-nuclear. Says that he wants energy policy to be evidence-based. I guess a dead Pacific Ocean isn't enough evidence, eh?
He says that he's going to save Diablo Canyon from closure, and some of his Twitter followers are even calling for him to reopen San onofre. San onofre, LOL, the poor thing had a fatal aneurysm. Almost fatal to us not the nuclear power plant. What are they going to do just turn the key and start her back up?
