*VIDEO* Shelter Takes In And Helps Deformed Cat
Mar 22, 2012
A Fargo animal rescue has taken in a cat with a twisted story. His name is Corky, and he was born with an abnormality that fits his name.
"He's a sweet little boy and took all of our hearts real quickly," says Gail Ventzke with CATS Cradle Shelter.
"I just love him. He just reaches deep into your heart,"
Every animal that comes through CATS Cradle's doors touches Gail and Carol's souls.
Gail says, "We were almost in tears when we saw him."
"We bundled him up in our arms immediately and said he's ours," says Carol.
If it weren't for the shelter, Corky was destined to be put down. He's like any other cat up top, but on his bottom half you can see where he gets his name. A birth defect caused his legs to criss cross and turn around.
Carol says, "As far as …

Sorry for the non-sequitor but I wanted to tell you Sickputer about the outbreak of stomach problems in Phoenix.
Severe stomach pain and, to a lesser extent, other GI symptoms lasting from days to weeks.
The strange thing is that they can come and go.
They've been severe enough that people are going to the doctor but no diagnosis of flu has been given yet.
One young man I know lost 20 pounds over a few weeks of this.
No diagnosis.
Please tell me that there is NO WAY this could be radiation.
I am hoping it is a hard-to-diagnose flu.
Am I over-reacting here?

Majia, I would definitely say you are NOT over-reacting. After having spent the last month coughing violently, with a virulent cold virus (sinus infection and bronchitis), I can personally attest to the fact that I have never been so sick in my life. I am only just now starting to get some energy back, but it has been slow going. (Sadly, I am also mourning the passing of my dear mother, so it's been especially difficult for me.)
Living in Seattle, with relatives and friends in N. and S. California as well, I have heard too many similar health issues this past year which proves to me our…

NoNukes,

GI symptoms about every day each time I would eat and afterwards ! yuk !
So sorry about the passing your mother !
Was it quick or unexspected ?
Report Comment
Thanks, Dr. Fox. Actually, it was my mother who had passed away in March. NoNukes was just copying a super-long discussion from a different thread which many of us were having last night about so many health issues we've either experienced or heard about since 3/11.
In that discussion, I discussed how my elderly mother, who had been a general good health prior, had a stroke and started to have kidney failure in June last year. She lived next door to Anaheim (California) where the highest levels of 1-131 anywhere in the U.S. were found, and she lived 20 miles south of L.A. where the EPA found 1-131 in the drinking water in April.
So I know intuitively, and based on this information from the EPA, that my mother's stroke was caused by her exposure to Fuku fallout.
After that, her health continued to decline over the past year and she passed away almost a year to the day that the radioactive, MOX-filled plume from the nuclear explosion in Reactor #3's SFP reached the West Coast.

Yes, WE KNOW many of us felt the effects and the loss of life last year was up some 64,000 more then normal !
Many of us younger people of age felt the effects for months in many ways so it was not our hypochondria !

1. In April and June last year, during the Fuku fallout, my child had two anaphalaxic type reactions after playing outdoors and after going berry picking. My child had NEVER had any such issues or allergies previously.
2. At various times since Fuku, I have felt my tongue tingling and my body have strange pulsing pains in various organs and muscles, after eating various foods. They were especially strong last spring/summer, but I also felt like I had eaten hot coals for several weeks in the fall as well. I seem to be always tired and have never felt like this in my life.
3. In June last year, my elderly mother who was in general good health suffered a stroke and started to show signs of kidney failure…both are symptoms which radiation exposure can cause. My mother lived in the city just next door to Anaheim, which had the highest I-131 levels and Los Angeles (20 miles north) had 1-131 in their drinking water.
4. My mother and sister (in N. CA) both had pneumonia in January and February. My brother in S. CA had it last year as well. NO ONE in our family has ever had pneumonia.
5. My niece, her husband and toddler in N. CA all had the same virulent cold bug I had and kept having relapses for over a month. Her husband still was coughing after back-to-back regimen of antibiotics.
6. My doctor prescribed a double strength antibiotic for my sinus infection/bronchitis and my child's doctor prescribed an ADULT…

Thanks for copying all this discussion to this thread, so it won't get buried, NoNukes.

Sorry to hear of your families health problems…I wonder how many folks in Europe went through these health problems after Chernobyl?

Thank you so much, Many Moons. I know the good people of Chernobyl suffered greatly and are still suffering. I know my health experiences after Fuku are far less than what the poor Japanese people are experiencing (except for those in the States who have had strokes or heart attacks, etc.). My heart goes out to them, and to the people affected by Chernobyl. Their lives are forever changed, and the damage to the DNA will continue to show up in generations to come.

Thank you so much, No Nukes. I am so sorry to hear about your family's health issues too. My sister and her family live in the Bay Area too, and have been having the drug resistent bronchitis issue too,
I forgot to mention about skin issues. I have always had healthy skin, but since Fuku, I too have had strange blister-like occurrences on isolated spots on my skin, that when lightly scratched, the surface layer comes off easily and leaves red,raw skin exposed. These take weeks to heal in some cases. The first occurred last May, while sitting in the sun and a blister appeared. I scratched it, and the melanin (colored layer) never grew back, but a scar appeared that is basically bumpy, scaley skin. The other strange occurrences include a burned off area of skin on my calf after playing in a January 16 snowfall. I had pants and boots on, so not sure how my skin got exposed…but was shocked later than evening when, while sitting in bed, I looked down to see my raw, red skin exposed…It took several weeks to heal and left scar tissue. Also, several times after taking a shower, a red area will show up on my skin and again, scratching it leaves a red, raw exposed layer of skin underneath. What is going on?

That sounds kind of like my daughter's skin. Anytime in the water (even 2-3 minutes) her skin starts to itch, leaving red marks. The thing that helps more than anything is staying out of the water.
Her skin also has fluid filled little bumps, after a while they bleed and take a long time to heal. The doctor said dermatitis, but that means nothing. She is allergic to iodine, so is iodine 131 or 129 in the water?

I wish I could wave a magic wand and make your daughter's skin issues disappear. Maybe like Bobby1 says, the bumps are signs the body's immune system is working hard to clear out any bad stuff. Children seem to bounce back so much quicker than adults, so I hope her skin issues heal soon.
Your description of water-filled bumps seems to fit my skin issues as well. They seem fluid-filled, as the skin feels almost moist and that is why the top layer comes off so easily when I scratch it…? Like a blister, I guess.

The top layer is where the iodine, cesium and plutonium is, when the skin comes in contact with radionuclides from air or water. It sloughs off like a snake shedding its skin, or you have got to scratch it, and then it comes off.

Sorry for the break in my reply. I had to pick my child up from practice.

7. There is a whooping cough epidemic in WA state. Hundreds more cases than last year.
8. My ex-brother in law in So. CA (inland and north of San Onofre), late 50's, had a heart attack last December (thankfully, he's ok) and was diagnosed with diabetes (again, organ failure and heart attacks & strokes are all possible signs of radiation exposure.)
9. Friends in WA state had relatives dropping dead out of the blue from heart attacks: a 30-year old, a 50-year old, a friend's mother died suddenly after Fuku last year and a friend's grandmother just had a stroke.
10. Also in December, I learned of a friend from So. CA who had been in a parent…

Sharp2197,
You are incredibly strong to endure 30 years of this kind of suffering, I'm sorry that you have had to. I did take her to the top dermatologist around, but of course, that day, there weren't a lot of the little blisters, so the dr. said dermatitis because of the rash. The next day she had 7 new blisters! We go back next week, so maybe we will find out more. In my next life, I am going to be a dermatologist, there aren't enough of them around, at least in San Francisco.
When I started putting a tiny bit of Lugol's iodine on her skin, the next day her whole body was covered with these tiny bumps and an incredibly itchy rash, it was hard for her to sleep. Allergies to iodine are pretty common, so I wonder if it is causing these rashes. Iodine 129 lasts for millions of years.
Sharp, is there any possibility that you are a Celiac? 25% of Celiacs have Dermatitis Herpetiformis, a rash reaction to wheat, but also a blister-like rash reaction to iodine. My daughter has had this a very itchy rash reaction to wheat, but only the really intense blisters with the Lugol's and now water. So, I wonder if maybe you too are celiac, and your system gets overloaded in part by iodine.
Celiac is genetic. I ate wheat for 34 years, but stopped when I stopped it for my daughter, and we both were better very quickly. Iodine is increased in certain foods, including those grown in fields that have increased Iodine 129 from…

The CDC mortality data I looked at wasn't broken down into heart attacks and strokes, just influenza and pneumonia (which were increased). But it seems likely that those conditions were a part of it. Early on, it seemed to affect 65 and older the most, but it transitioned to the 25-44 age range toward the end of the year. It affected the mountain states from Montana down to Arizona more early, but by November and December, the west coast from Washington down to California was worst.

No you are not mistaken…this GI "flu" is strange. I have it myself… Been sick for three to four weeks. I blame it on the bad fallout in the first three weeks of March. I have gone to some new and varied herbal remedies and actually feel much better today for the first time in three weeks. Had some killer headaches also and heard a lot of anecdotal discussion about similar headaches.
Could be also my improvement is because the haze has been less for several days now. The thing is I have been indoors a lot with HEPA filters and had safe foods. Very little outside traveling. Had a very weird sensation today in my upper side torso area today just for 4 or 5 minutes. Kinda unnerved me a bit because it was painful, dizzying, but not in a vascular way. Seemed in my muscles and all I could think was maybe this is what cesium feels like when it bioaccumulates in your muscles. Felt better in five minutes…

One final observation I forgot to mention last night: While in Riverside, California attending my mother's funeral, three family members had nosebleeds. One on a separate day, then two the following day.
Riverside is known for being smoggy as it is inland, away from ocean breezes, and the smog backs up against the San Bernadino mountains. There was a lot of chemtrail planes spraying while we were there and the air felt acrid and dry and hurt to breathe. As many here know, nosebleeds are also a symptom of radiation exposure.
Very strange, as my family members never get nosebleeds. The dates were March 23 and 24. I wonder what might have happened 4 or so days prior at Fuku, that might have wafted over to So. California on the Jet Stream that week?…

Guys, if you want to save your health…make a move! I'm on the s. east coast USA and have not had any real symptoms or illness (with the exception of an upset stomach after an ill-timed plane flight out West in April 2011). Not a cold, not an infection, not a nosebleed, no metallic tastes, no lack of energy, no rash, no hair loss, etc.
That was a wake-up call!…)
Food and water are the big issues going forward one year later….
I'm not crazy about the water quality and do plan to install a water filter soon. I still shower in tap water & then dry quick. :/ I also notice a huge improvement in air quality since the Jet Stream moved north for the season! Things seem almost back to normal?? The wildlife seems ok, too, all things considered? I find that encouraging and hopeful.
However, I'm very worried about FOOD into the future, since we get much of our foods from the very places on the West Coast where many are falling ill and there is such a measurable layer of radioactive fallout!!.. (I did feel gross & had to detox one time after eating cookies with post-accident W. coast dairy.
I just wanted to give some hope to people who are getting too ill! We definitely have less fallout out east or I'm just a tough old bird!

Bobby1, I was in your area this past December and I have to agree. I could feel the radiation in the air (human geiger counter here…) and watched loads of chemtrail planes doing a lot of spraying every day I was there.
The fact that there are so many NPPs near there, as the Eastern seaboard states are all small and close to each other, they all share their ongoing radiation releases…Too close for comfort!
And as someone else mentioned here, the PA radiation monitor on RadiationNetwork.com is usually ALWAYS much higher than the other monitors around the U.S. (And who knows what TMI's gifts are possibly still circulating there?),

I have a good immune system, but I do try to protect it. I just honestly wanted to offer the info. that you can be healthy, even though this is a horrible disaster with long-term effects. I believe that the East Coast of the U.S. is not nearly as hard hit as the Pacific coasts that we share with Japan. Also, I think the worst of it will arrive in future years when our exposures may come home to roost in a big way! Moreover, being healthy and very active, I have a huge appetite, so it is hard to stay fed, safely. It's kind of scary how much food I can put down, although I've never been overweight. I don't know how eating right these days is going to work out! I'm an eater!
p.s. I think Baltimore/DC can get more of a smog heat inversion than where I am in VA. It's still pretty good. Keeping a spiritual perspective, close family ties & friendships-even pets, and a determinedly positive outlook really helps, too!
Report Comment
I honestly don't have any noticeable health issues yet from this nightmare and I do NOT live in a bubble either!~ I have not heard of anyone in VA/DC suffering any suspect deaths, miscarriages, illnesses, or worsening conditions since 3/2011, as Bobby deduced from his U.S. CDC statistical study, thus far. (I heard of a 99 year old man dying of old age in summer 2011, but that's about it-?)
I'm not making light of the real problems and pollution that we get out here, but trying to share my observations, straight-up!

I think we are having problems in Arizona. We had much higher fallout than many areas of the country.
People are having alot of stomach problems and no diagnoses have been made of viruses.
Someone i know has lost 20 pounds in a couple of months with no diagnosis.
At first I thought it might be a food born virus (and it still might be) but at 7 1/2 background radiation in our dust over 1 year after the event I suspect our food on the west coast is now quite contaminated.
I've researched this as plants confuse cesium with potassium and they circulate the cesium throughout the entire plant.
My stomach has a hot coal in it…
Report Comment
Majia, I'm sorry to hear your stomach is still giving your problems. Just a thought: how far away are you from Palos Verdes NPP, the largest NPP in the U.S.?
I am now forever suspicious about the safety of our own 104 commercial NPPs in the U.S. (not to mention the other "research" and military related reactors) since hearing about all the leaks and "events" in our NPPs this past year. Their ongoing "permissible releases" of radiation must also affect our food chain and water systems, don't you think?
It is hard to say and harder to trace (at least for the time being), but I hope someday we'll be able to trace all radiation contamination should it appear in our food or water back to it's original source. (And I hope by then, all NPPs will be shut down around the world, of course!)
I hope you're felling better soon! My cough is almost gone, finally.

Palo Verde has been poisoning us with tritium for years.
What has happened this year is different.
In december I lost hair and nails. Many of my female students reported the same.
Now we have massive stomach problems with no diagnoses.
Could be viral and hard to detect.
We also have very sore throats. Could be allergies but people who normally don't have allergies are also having these symptoms.
Could all be coincidence. Then again, maybe not.
I just don't know.
However, with Collins finding I think that levels outside must be not so good for human health…
Our food is eventually going to be more contaminated than the air
Report Comment
So sorry to hear of these issues. I too noticed my hair thinning, though did not lose any nails.
These symptoms do seem to follow the progression described in people after being irradiated after Chernobyl. Are you using probiotics to insure the health of your digestive track? I am using non-dairy based probiotics.
According to the BELRAD group someone linked to here yesterday, internal contamination showed up in children living in both "clean" and "fallout" hotspots, via the food they ingested. (something like 80-90% came from the food!) Sigh…

It's quite apparent to me what is happening. Fallout from Fukushima has destroyed the good bacteria in the guts of victims. A super bug from hell if you will.
Being married to a nurse I have been aware of the dangers of c.diff infections in the past few years. MRSA and c.diff normally occur in medical and nursing home settings, but these types of superbugs have mutated with the new danger of radiation in our guts.
100 trillion bacteria exist in your body.. about 3 or 4 pounds if we weighed them. Doctors have virtually no understanding of how these bacteria interact.
One thing they they have utilized in life-threatening bowel distress illnesses us FMT (fecal microbial transplantation). You will be hearing much more about this little-known treatment in the coming years as the adverse effects of global radiation worsen. Without healthy donors the human race faces a pandemic that alters drastically the reign of the naked ape.

Thanks for this fascinating information, SickPuter. It definitely occurred in people after Hiroshima and Nagasaki and Chernobyl, so I can only assume that is what the Japanese are experiencing, and some of us in the U.S. to a lesser extent.
Also, please see my posting way below I just posted about the new study on fungi that appeared in Nature. The scientists are estimating that 70% of all extinctions in plants and animals due to infectious diseases were due to an underlying fungus! Makes me want to read up on good anti-fungal diets and supplements!
http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2012/04/120411132000.htm
"Tackle Fungal Forces to Save Crops, Forests and Endangered Animals, Say Scientists
"ScienceDaily (Apr. 11, 2012) — More than 600 million people could be fed each year by halting the spread of fungal diseases in the world's five most important crops, according to research published April 11 in the journal Nature.
"Furthermore, data reviewed by scientists suggests that in 70% of cases where infectious disease causes the extinction of a type of animal or plant, an emerging species of fungus is behind the problem. Evidence suggests this figure is increasing."

Thanks for sharing the positive news, Alasanon!
I am so glad to hear you are healthy and not noticing any increase in illnesses in your family and friends.
I don't think Fuku-related health issues will necessarily affect everyone in the U.S., at least not in the near future (and if we are fortunate, not in the long-term too!). Rather, just like the way the fallout rained down on us, in pockets of activity, randomly and not completely nor uniformly blanketing everything, the health issues that do crop up will also be sporadic, not blanketing entire swaths of the U.S. population (at least, this is my hope!)
The human body is amazing in its ability to rid the body of unwanted invaders and to heal. However, as it's been said before, it is those who are frail, elderly, or with already compromised immune systems that would be most affected in the first days, months and years. Children and women are also more vulnerable, and last and least affected by radiation exposure are men. Cancers usually don't show up until 10-20 years or more, so it is more heart and circulatory issues and blood cancers and thyroid issues that show up first.
Anyway, I don't think anyone should talk themselves into getting sick from Fuku! If it happens, it happens, but in the meantime, go out and live your life to the fullest and surround yourself with lots of loving, positive people (and pets) as you are already doing!

Thanks for your suggestions, Alasanon. It's a real conundrum. Moving isn't so easy for many reasons. And where to move to? Given the highest numbers of nuclear power plants in the U.S. are East of the Mississippi, (have you seen the map?), East would not be the first place on my mind. I believe NPPs are all ticking time bombs, each day they stay in operation is just adding to the risk of something major going wrong. And knowing that U.S. NPP spent fuel pools hold an outrageously far greater amount of spent fuel assemblies than Fukushima, my instinct would be to move as far away from NPPs as possible.
Not sure what the answer is, or if there is one at this point…? I do believe you are fortunate, however, not to have any health issues. As Dr. Helen Caldicott explains, women and children are so many times more vulnerable to radiation exposure than men. Embryos are most susceptible, then babies, then children, then women, then men. Also, people with compromised immune systems, autoimmune diseases, elderly, frail, are also much more susceptible and it is in these groups where the illnesses first show up (thyroid disease, strokes, heart issues, etc.) Then, the rest of the population starts to show signs of exposure a year or two later, with cancers usually not showing up for 10-20 years or more.

I live on the West Coast and have been diagnosed with thyroid issues recently. I am considering where to move, but as far as the East coast is concerned, that is where all the power plants are. There are far too many nuclear plants on the East coast for me to consider moving there.

WorseThanChernobyl, I am so sorry to hear about your thyoid issues. Did these show up after Fuku or before? (You said "recently", so I'm guessing this was since 3/11?)
Do you live near a NPP? It would be helpful for anyone who like you has been diagnosed with thyroid issues to describe them and document them here. It may help shed some light on whether it is due to being exposed to fallout from Fukushima or some other reason…
Report Comment
Yes, I live 11 miles from the Columbia Generating Station. I have not lived here all my life fortunately, though for about ten years. I think I have been prone to thyroid issues in the past, as I have had a couple symptoms, but now it seems to have manifest in my blood tests and physical examination, which took place in February. I have had tests done in the past which didn't show a problem.

My clients here in the midwest have complained of GI and flu like symptoms, and one client, exposed to massive radiation in Afghanistan while in the US military, reported cadiac pain, only to discover he is reportedly had 20 or more minor heart attacks, and a hole in his heart. he was not wounded by du ammunition or any other ammunition. he simply walked the land for months. He also works outside a great deal as a cement and foundation contractor, and last summer, complained of skin and energy and cardiac symptoms mentioned in this thread. i recommended he consult with his medical practitiioners and enquire as to low dose radiation poisoning. There is a huge issue with returning military, and the unexplored radical excessive waste and exposure in the continent of Africa's jungles will be the issues of the next decade as well. Meanwhile, remember that exposure is not the same as internal contamination.
Exposure can develop into cancers in 6 to 30 years in adult, but internal contamination (swallowing through foodchain or breathing hot particiles in the air) can kill in days, weeks, or months. Miserable way to go.
The medical community has turned a blind eye. Hey, you got a tumor here; let me irradiate you…and then the patient later dies of what? another cancer. let's wake up.

That is so sad to hear, Sonnen-Blum. I shudder to think what our poor military folks have had to deal with, health-wise. We need a more loving, compassionate, peaceful world and more positive solutions to solving conflicts that don't involve killing others or ourselves or doing irreparable harm to our environment.
Speaking of cement, I had a random thought last summer after doing research on how countries like the U.S. allow mixing of radioactive waste into metals and other materials which then get used in creating consumer products like utensils, furniture, etc. (See report done by Enviroreporter.com on the subject). A "clever" way to make a quick buck and not have to deal with finding a permanent storage place for the nuclear waste. Needless to say, I was shocked and APPALLED to hear this was legal and being done here in the U.S. and around the world, without our consent or knowledge!
I also learned that radon seems to be a serious issue in homes around the U.S., due to what the EPA claims is naturally occurring radon in our ground. They have a map showing hot spot areas where it is more prevalent than other areas in the U.S. (i.e. Spokane is a hot spot, as they have uranium mines nearby.) But, I wondered, what if the VERY CEMENT we use to lay our homes' foundations with is contaminated with the radiation waste allowed to be mixed into products for sale??? Would not that be a scary thought, that we are all living on man-made/contaminated radioactive…

…Would not that be a scary thought, that we are all living on man-made, purposefully-contaminated radioactive cement? Now there's a pleasant thought. (NOT!)
Anyway, It was just one of my many random thoughts. It would be interesting for the Geiger Counter detectives among us to do a bit of sleuthing to see if my suspicions/questions about cement used in building homes have any basis in truth (and perhaps might answer the question of why your client felt sick after working with cement?)
…Are we all living in homes sitting on radioactive cement, or is the radon in homes coming from naturally occurring uranium and its radon daughters in the ground beneath the cement pads? Curious to know…

I also have to post this anecdote: I was talking to someone who does not take precautions and lives in the mountain states, next to CA. After trying to convince him not to take unnecessary business trips into Asia, etc., I wasn't getting a lot of traction. (He recently got back from Taiwan & had a very brief layover in Tokyo.) Yet, I made my case and I knew that the Jet Stream was overhead for him off the Pacific at that time… And, sadly, while we were talking, he started to have a nosebleed! He attributes it to the mountainous altitude, but who knows??
It seems nosebleeds are becoming common for many adults/kids in Japan and on the US West coast, too.

My family and I went on a trip to Seattle at the beginning of March. My husband had a massive head ache on the drive over. He was very nauseous as well, especially after we got to the hotel, then he suddenly got a nose bleed. I have been with him for many years and never has he had a nose bleed! Anyway, he is normally very ruddy complexioned but looked as pale as a ghost at that time. It may not sound like a big deal, but it was pretty frightening to me at the time, considering what I have read about hot particles, etc. in Seattle. He seems fine now, but I am not so sure about our health.
I was recently diagnosed with an enlarged thyroid in addition to pretty severe anemia and have not been feeling so stellar. Hopefully, supplementation and dietary improvements will help me, although I have been on a very strict, healthy diet for at least 12 years. Anyway, I went to the Hanford rally in Richland, WA today, and it was great to see all the people. I also saw Dr. Caldicott speak. She did mention plutonium being taken in as iron by the body, which makes me nervous.
There was also a woman reporting on cancer in the Tri-Cities, WA area and said that it is under-reported in the area for some reason but that there are many cases, including herself and many friends and family members.

Thanks so much for sharing this, WTC. I am sorry to hear about your family's health issues. The nosebleed in March in Seattle seems so strange. They do a lot of chemtrail spraying here (never noticed this phenomenon until doing online searches after Fuku, as like most people, I guess I never looked "up" much…?) They did a LOT today…Anyway, breathing aluminum, silver oxide and barium (and who knows what else) certainly can't be helping our respiratory issues either.
I tried asking the King County Health Dept. about the spraying, but they said they were not allowed to investigate a Federal initiative, and suggested I contact the EPA and FAA.
Anyway, I think it's great you attended the rally at Hanford! Good for you! It is horrendous, the amount of radioactive pollution that was left in Hanford from the Manhattan Project ( and the NINE nuclear reactors that used to operate there!) I have read a lot about the health issues of the "downwinders" there. And given Hanford is the #1 Super Fund clean up sight in the U.S., which will take 1,000s of years to clean up (if ever!), it makes me shudder. I know WA has a high prevalence of M.S., with the highest rate being in Eastern WA, downwind of Hanford. I for one am convinced it is due to radiation exposure.

…And sadly, another health issue observation I forgot to mention the other night on this thread: a friend of mine who has M.S. has had increasing problems after Fuku, so much so it has affected her cognitive ability and she had to quit her job recently where she's worked for 20 years because of it!
Though no one surely would ever admit it, I believe our water shed has been affected by Hanford too, as since moving to Seattle a few years ago, I had NEVER heard about so many children having brain tumors. I am very concerned at the amount of radiation contamination WA state already had, prior to Fuku. And now…well, I shudder to think. What's a person to do?

Are you serious, Children with Brain Tumors !!??
You people in the USA are toast as well as the Japanese.
Through enenews.com I've come to realise you people seem to have two reactors for every state. In Oz, we have zero (a medical 'research' one).
And I keep reading about water run-off, air leakage, general aging and poor maintenance of US NPPs.
Crazy.. friggin crazy.. and the general population goes along with it.
I used to wonder why Homer Simpson had a job at a nuke plant, now I know it's because almost everyone does in the USA.
Children with Brain Tumors .. you guys have got to wake up!
Report Comment
I hear ya, Richard. It does seem as if we all (not just in the U.S. as many nations are entrenched in all things Nuclear) have gone insane.
But speaking from my own experience post-Fuku, it is easy to see how our blindness was due to a well-orchestrated, and well-financed effort to lie, cover up and obscure the truth about the dangerous folly nuclear was and is. I had NO IDEA, as our MSM surely didn't inform us of nuclear's dangers. We didn't get it at school. And so it goes, the biggest boldfaced LIE perpetuated for what must be a record amount of time.
But if any good can come from the tragic catastrophe called Fukishima, it is the fact that more and more people ARE waking up, late as it may be. So there is hope. And thanks to the heroic efforts of people like Dr. Helen Caldicott, Arnie Gunderson and Robert Alvarez, who are tireless troops spreading the word to growing numbers of people, the numbers of "awakened" people will continue to grow.
Regarding the blindness in WA state, I've pondered this question ever since moving here 3 years ago. How could a state filled with so many seemingly environmentally-conscious people who recycle, do composting, grow their own food and commute to work on bicycles or using public transportation, how could they be so unaware of the nuclear mess we've gotten ourselves (and the world) into?
Report Comment
(continued from above)
Again, I'd have to answer that the information Washingtonians has received regarding nuclear has been incredibly controlled, perhaps more so here than most other states due to the long-history of the Manhattan Project being based here, and the Bangor Trident nuclear sub base being here. (Try reading any nuclear news of substance in the Seattle Times for instance, or even worse, the Tri-City Herald in E. WA which is where Hanford is. Most readers either work at Hanford or know someone who does.)
The "awakening" is slow going, but thanks to online forums like Enenews, it IS finally happening…So again, there is hope…
Report Comment
You're right, the Fuku madness has peeled back the curtain.
Let's hope we can sustain this battle to purge the world of nukes – we are up against a VERY wealthy, entrenched and powerful system. They will obviously kill if you start making too much progress against them..
I seriously believe that organised crime has taken over all the inner workings of government. Mafia in the USA, Yakuza in Japan.
Watch your back, these criminals have no qualms killing people for profit. Just look at any NPP.

Thanks for the report on the Hanford Rally! I think there has been a cover-up of the numbers of cancers and other health effects around Richland for many decades now. Many locals can't admit that Daddy Guvment would do anything to harm them though, so many have that pride that Los Alamos people have, of having helped to win the war, of being there when their country needed them. It is a rude awakening for many that Daddy Guvment isn't helping, and in fact is actively hiding radiation truths in many cases, and hiding and under-reporting health effects as a matter of course, as if they were harmless lies that cost no one their health or their life. The Iraq wars vets contaminated by depleted uranium go through a similar trauma, when they realize that someone they thought was there to back them 100% in fact considers them expendables, and then goes on lying about those health effects. It makes people feel victimized, and no one wants to admit to that. Radiation seems to be weird that way in many human communities; for some reason human beings feel shamed by it, rather than seeing it as a direct attack they need to vigorously respond to. The silence, the taboo on speaking – it reminds me of the literature on incest. Denial is far preferable to the human psyche. As one woman in a store near the Nevada test site and Yucca Mountain said to me once, many years ago, when I asked how people felt around there about the tests and the waste site; she answered, "Well, we ain't glowed…

Astute observations, Arizonan. Couple that with health professionals who have not been properly trained to recognize or even look for radiation contamination in their patients, then you begin to see how this problem has long been institutionalized in our society (GE owns the imagery equipment they use to diagnose the cancers caused by being irradiated from their nuclear power plants, and they own the radiation "therapy" machines too…the perfect trifecta…talk about job security!)

I had a thought: You mentioned you live 11 miles from the Columbia Generating Station. Perhaps if you have the time, you can try and find out how much "permissible levels" of radiation they release in their ongoing venting of radioactive steam. (Studies show children have elevated rates of leukemia living in a 10 mile radius from a NPP, and women have higher rates of breast cancer living within 50 miles.)
I think the NRC may have this info about the NPP releases on their website, (though we can't exactly be sure these numbers are completely accurate, given the history of lies in the Nuke industry…)
But it would be a start, and help you get a citizens group going to try and shut down Columbia.
As I understand, due to our incredible rainy climate, we typically have EXTRA energy each year, and they can't store it all. So shutting down a radiation spewer that is really not needed in WA state would be a no-brainer.
I know there are citizen groups like Heart of the Northwest you might join forces with too? Just a thought. Any steps you can take to save you and your family and neighbors from having to breathe in extra radioactive noble gases like Xenon or Tritium-laced fog, etc., beyond what is already circulating the planet, would definitely be worth the effort, IMHO!
And if you do get something like that going, please let me and others here know!
Report Comment
That was me that lives 11 miles from the CGS. I am involved with the local occupy movement, and some of us are interested in shutting down CGS, but activism in this community is very difficult, as this whole area was built because of the Manhatten project plutonium processing, and they are very proud of it! There are some very hostile people here even within the Occupy movement, and I have had a hard time meeting those that would be with me on shutting down the CGS. There are plenty I think in other areas around the state and in Oregon, especially Portland. That is why it was so nice of Occupy Portland to organize the Hanford rally, because we here in this area are met with quite a bit of hostility and resistance, and we have to live here after the rally is over.
Report Comment
Oops! Sorry for confusing you with Truthseek, WTC!
Yes, since moving to WA, I quickly sensed that the entrenched community of Hanford workers in E. WA cherish their employment (which I don't blame them for), so naturally, they don't want to say anything that could rock the boat and jeopardize their jobs. Plus, like most Americans, I am guessing they have been spoon-fed the NB (Nuclear Baloney, as CaptD calls it) for so long, they are likely blissfully unaware of the real dangers of radiation exposure.
Bravo to the Portland activists for picking up the ball and running with it! Good for them. A very smart move, and as you say, obviously much needed as the local community near Hanford and Columbia Generating Station most likely would resist such protests by locals in their community (or fear of being ostracized if they speak up themselves).
But what the Hanford workers don't realize is that they are jeopardizing their very DNA and offspring. Their entire lineage for 10+ generations could be affected by the mutations to their DNA which radiation exposure causes.
But they will still be able to keep their jobs too, if they still wish to risk exposure, as the clean up at Hanford will take 1000+ years, plenty of jobs for generations to come. So they can still speak out against any new nuclear power and join the anti-nuclear activist calls to shut down all existing NPPs while still getting to keep their jobs at Hanford.
Report Comment
Someone just needs to share this news with them, so they "get it." They just need more education about the true dangers of nuclear radiation exposure. It's their children and grandchildren who will be affected too!
Only then will the ranks of anti-nuke activists in E. WA will start to swell, slowly but surely.
Report Comment
I guess being a worker at Hanford would by necessity create a type of cognitive dissonance, if they allowed themselves to learn the truth about the dangers of radiation exposure while still working in a place that is so highly contaminated. I can understand how someone couldn't let themselves believe it was dangerous if they relied on their job to survive and take care of their family… But if they only realized the risks they were putting their family through by working there.
..Still, like at Fukushima, SOMEONE has to do the clean up. Such a sad, terrible mess we've created. Shame on our nuclear fathers and grandfathers for creating this nightmare.
Report Comment
Well, the ones I have met have the "I worked with nuclear waste/nuclear energy/etc and I am fine, so there is nothing to worry about" attitude. It is difficult to argue with that, when their evidence is right there in front of them, so it seems. I know that radiation causes more than just dropping dead instantly and cancer, but they say all that evidence of other health problems is all fear mongering. For example Tri-Cities made the top 10 list for the fattest cities in the US! What is one of the main causes of obesity in the US? Thyroid problems! I tried to point this out gently, but I don't think they really got my point. We also seem to have alot of kids with learning problems and physical disabilities. Way more than I have seen anywhere else! Also, I have known two children recently diagnosed with cancer in the West Richland area. I have never known any child with cancer before this! I know two women who always pipe up when the subject comes up about radiation being dangerous to say that they have lived around nuclear facilities their whole lives due to their parent's work. They both actually have major problems and problems with either their children's health or their own reproductive health in addition to major obesity! I of course am polite to them, since I have to live near them, but you know, sometimes I would like to point that out!
Report Comment
It is sad to hear about the children there with cancer and the parents' health issues. And as you alluded to, radiation exposure is known to cause learning disabilities, lower intelligence, as well as physical disabilities (and I believe autism too, based on the latest study showing a link between genetic mutation and autism.)

there are studies on the health of nuclear power workers and they do show an increased incidence of cancer and radiation related problems. the thing is is that while workers of nuclear plants get tested and if need be scrubbed and decontaminated until they reach a safe level of radiation, the general public does not. i would imagine that their health checks also prevent at least some of the effects as "lumps" can be removed before they become cancerous … my thyroid lumps wont get removed until they become "sinister". my son's blood did not get screened until he found the growth himself.

I hope your family has been able to join the class action lawsuits or file their own suits to get compensation for their health woes. I know they say it is hard to prove, but with modern genetic testing, I think it will soon become much easier to prove the connection to radiation exposure and genetic damage. (Did you see that study done last year by the German scientists who discovered a genetic "fingerprint" which proved a connection between thyroid cancer and children's exposure to Chernobyl fallout? I expect many more such studies will be done, making the cause and effects of exposure to specific fallout and resulting health issues more clear as time goes by…)
Wishing you and yours well!

Let It Be
(The Beatles)
When I find myself in times of trouble,
Mother Mary comes to me
speaking words of wisdom, let it be
and in my hour of darkness
she is standing right in front of me
speaking words of wisdom, let it be
Let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be
whisper words of wisdom, let it be
And when the broken hearted people
living in the world agree
there will be an answer, let it be
for though they may be parted,
there is still a chance that they will see
there will be an answer, let it be
Let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be
there will be an answer, let it be
Let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be
whisper words of wisdom, let it be
Let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be
whisper words of wisdom, let it be
And when the night is cloudy,
there is still a light, that shines on me,
shine until tomorrow, let it be.
I wake up to the sound of music,
Mother Mary comes to me,
There will be no sorrow Let it be..
Let it be, let it be, Let it be, let it be.
There will be no sorrow. Let it be.

Later to Monitoring forum …. drove through Sonoma Valley on Monday. Unless massive Sudden Oak Death has struck 1/2 of the smaller oaks, they have been killed by radiation. Hoping I'm wrong & they are just slow leafing out.
It seems like the leaves are stunted on a lot of the trees here this year. In the tree across from me, 3/4 of the branches look blasted as though they were burned. The other 1/4 of the tree has normal leaves. The other 3/4 is just now getting leaves.
I found a variety of redwood tree here on which all the tiny pine cones are fused together. They definitely look mutated. Am going to take my camera everywhere now and will start documenting this. Unless tree diseases are causing a lot of issues, many trees are showing mutations.
Am going to check with County Ag people around the area to try to get a sense of what tree diseases they may be dealing with. Will do own research. My gut tells me a lot of the trees are damaged and dying.
Per Ruth, trees @ North Coast of CA (north of Eureka to Crescent City) are showing white on their branches. Someone from Arcata, CA, also posted pictures of damaged plants, white on the trees.
A wave of radiation is "going to hit" the West Coast? Contamination from the Pacific? It's already here!
Will post to Photobucket with links as soon as I can get some good pics. Seeing the damage to all the pine cones on the redwood tree was really sad. Cones w/o any…

I'm only at 31 weeks, but I had that 4D/3D u/s and yes, baby looked totally deformed. Sounds like you have a very active baby! The way 4D/3D works is it sends sound waves into the uterus. Your baby has to hold VERY still so that the high frequency sound waves have time to form around your baby's features. If your baby moves, even just a little, even just a smile or grimace, it will blur the results, creating blobs, bumps, multiple noses, you name it. It looks like the back of my baby's head is made of cauliflower and that his ear is an elephant ear. He was moving a lot, so the only part of his picture that has any clarity is one hand and a bit of his face.
I think when they get those awesome shots of babies smiling or sucking their thumb they were lucky enough to catch baby while it was asleep.
Also- I am sure the u/s tech didn't run screaming for a doctor, so I wouldnt worry too much! If you are still concerned, call your OB. But I really think you don't need to worry!

Also forgot to mention the strange white fungus-like substance that grew all over some plants that were growing next to and below our deck and the water spouts last Spring and Summer after 3/11: Never had seen that before, and this year, have only seen a small bit of it on a couple plants.
I read somewhere about a fungus that actually ate radioisotopes, so I am assuming that was what it was. But have not had it tested so I don't know for sure.

Just riffing on that idea of the fungus eating radiation: What if a lot of the ill health we've been seeing in people, plants and animals is due to this type of fungus growing in/on the host organism? Not a pleasant thought I know, but I just read an article in a Health column in the news this week about fungi and its affect on health. Just some random thoughts…

Here's an article mentioning the new study just published in Nature about the fungus issue affecting so many food crops and animals, etc. worldwide. Amazingly, they believe 70% of extinctions from infectious diseases are caused by a fungus!
http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2012/04/120411132000.htm
"Tackle Fungal Forces to Save Crops, Forests and Endangered Animals, Say Scientists
"ScienceDaily (Apr. 11, 2012) — More than 600 million people could be fed each year by halting the spread of fungal diseases in the world's five most important crops, according to research published April 11 in the journal Nature.
"Furthermore, data reviewed by scientists suggests that in 70% of cases where infectious disease causes the extinction of a type of animal or plant, an emerging species of fungus is behind the problem. Evidence suggests this figure is increasing.
"The scientists behind the study, from the University of Oxford, Imperial College London, and institutions in the US, are calling for new solutions to prevent the proliferation of existing and emerging fungal infections in plants and animals in order to prevent further loss of biodiversity and food shortages in the future."

So sad to hear. I hope they all recover fully. Strange that while the article states the doctors and authorities didn't or couldn't identify the cause of the illness, they do state that it responded well to treatment if done early on. Well, how do they know what kind of treatment to use if they don't know what the illness is caused by? They must at least figured out if it was a virus or bacteria or fungus, or a toxin, etc., yes? Guess we'd need to follow this up and see what updated information they have.
I keep hearing more and more about these strange illnesses, but not sure if it just the fact that I've become more vigilant and aware of these things as I'm actively looking for signs of illnesses caused by radiation exposure…?
What ever happened to that group of girls who all came down with strange tics (their school was on land where there had been fracking done)? Too many of these stories to keep track of, really.
Report Comment
(I meant to say, I hope the 119 who became ill, but didn't die, recover fully. It is sad to know people died from this.
One other thought: this seems to be localized to one particular area where indigenous people live. Knowing what I know now about how industries and governments have taken advantage of indigenous people, having them do the dirty work of uranium mining, for example, I wouldn't doubt their lands were used as dumping grounds for toxic wastes (like Agent Orange?) Perhaps like those poor, unsuspecting road construction workers in Australia the other day who unearthed radioactive waste that had spilled off a truck in a traffic accident, and was buried on site, perhaps these poor people in Vietnam somehow unearthed some toxic substance (like radioactive waste, etc) and were exposed?
Nothing really surprises me anymore in this strange post-Fuku world we find ourselves in.

Yes, WATK's,..Twilight Zone it is!
I'll post this on anomalies thread also,…just got off the tele with my best friend, (one of my son's old buddies whom I helped raise-26). I asked him about the 9 vials of blood his Dr. drew from him last month,…and I knew in advance,…but WTF. These were his words,…"I have bad T-3 and T-4 numbers,…something about my thyroid. And I have too many of one kind of blood cell, and not enough of the other. I have no testosterone, and my cholesterol is way off, whatever ALL that means".
I am going over there tomorrow to have a look at the blood work reports and try to talk to him.
I asked him if his hair is falling out, and he got deadly quiet. He said, "Yes, as a matter of fact,…especially in the shower when I wash it. My drain has never had this much hair in it in four years I've lived here". So it begins!
I am numb. I truly have no feelings right now–like I've been stripped! I know the DAY/NIGHTMARE we are entering,…as do most here. We could write the bloody script! But, not the ending! I'll see Gary again no matter what happens. His sister Cara is waiting with my Ashley,…..so we'll all be fine.

Hi StillJill, I replied to this on the other thread. Here's my reply:
Oh my dear, StillJill. My heart is so saddened to hear this latest news about your friend, He is just 26 and is experiencing these things? How can this be?
You say you helped raise him, and that both his sister and your daughter have passed on. Did they have similar illnesses?
I'm wondering, with all these health issues your family and close friend have been experiencing, if you and your family hadn't been exposed to radiation many years ago, when your children were still young?
I remember you mentioning your ex-husband had worked on a nuclear submarine. Could he have been exposed and somehow brought radiaton home where you and your children became affected by it?
Or did you live at any point near a nuclear reactor? Where were you living while raising your children?
Just trying to understand how so many illnesses could affect one family. Exposure to Fuku radiation fallout since 3/11 certainly doesn't help, but if your young friend had already been exposed to radiation prior to Fuku, then any additional radiation exposure from Fuku could be that additional "dose" that is the tipping point for his immune system.
Just speculating, but seems that such a young person (outside of Japan) would not already show signs of radiation exposure so early on in this Fuku disaster…I'd be interested to hear your thoughts…Sending BIG {{{hugs}}} & keeping you & your friend in my thoughts and…

This must be my night. Just discovered that one more of the four goslings is messed up. This makes 3 out of the 4,…or 75% F'd up!
They came by air from S. Cal. They 'flew' at 18-24 hours old. Two were viably messed up upon arrival. One pulled out of it, one died. Now, of the two 'well' birds, we just noticed one has a VERY deformed left foot. It is all 'put on wrong'-bent, curving WAY out like 'pigeon-toed', not 'duck feet', eh? The one that pulled out of it, if you will, is NOT RIGHT,…but she'll likely survive.
Handicapped geese. How nice. They are 18 days old and just coming out of the cage to roam the kitchen! Cutest darned things,…think I'm their Mum! (They walk like kids in swim-fins!
God bless the little ones tonight,…human, plant, and animal alike–Amen.

Oh dear, StillJill. This is definitely not your night.
So sorry to hear about the goslings (though they sound sooo cute, deformed foot or not!)
How fortunate you are to live in a rural area where you can do things like raise geese! It is just so strange (again…I seem to keep repeating this about so many things these days!) that they would be deformed.
When you said they "flew", do you mean you bought them and they were delivered air mail? If so, the radiation in the airplane could have affected them. Or perhaps their mother had been exposed to Fuku fallout (well, duh, if she was in California too, she was quite likely exposed!)
Hope the remaining ones survive and bring you many hours of joy! I love animals and being out in Nature. Yes, many blessings to all the dear innocent little ones, and to you as well, StillJill. As Tiny Tim says, "God bless us, everyone!".

Great questions, WATK'S! On both posts from last night,…got me thinking,…Oh NO!
Yes, the goslings were shipped by plane at 18 hours old. I thought right away that they'd been 'gassed' in flight. But, they sure could have been born this way. The 'lefty' goose was born this way,…we just didn't notice until now.
The co. is considering delivery changes I'm told due to high death counts. Ya think?
Yes, God bless us everyone!
Report Comment
I think Gary got FUKU'd,…but I also know that he had been raised in S. Cal before I met him, when he was very young. I further think that to be 'this sick, this fast',….a 'life-long exposure, intermittent at least, is usually at play also. Just my opinion.
Cara and Ashley Noel were not killed by radiation,…although both were affected by it. Certainly I blame environmental toxicity for Ashley's down syndrome,…Cara died in a jeep roll-over, her boyfriend was the driver and too drunk to lift the jeep off of her skull. Ashley Noel died of undiagnosed pneumonia,…they said she had simple bronchitis and had her on that stupid pink stuff. She drowned in her own phlem.
This morning I feel surrender. Sweet surrender. I shall exercise the Serenity Prayer and accept what I can not change.
This ugly last chapter has to play out,…I get that. Many things WILL SEEM unfair,….as has been the case in this fallen world. But,…with God,…things are RARELY what they appear!:-)
I can sense and feel what's happening UNDERNEATH it all,….and IT's GOOD!
Report Comment
Thanks for your reply to my questions, StillJill. I am sorry to hear that about your sweet Ashley. But as you say, sweet surrender, knowing somehow there is a greater wisdom in a Higher Power is a wonderful way to feel at peace even in difficult times.
I also like to reserve a healthy skepticism about any future predictions. No one, save the Lord above, really knows what is going to happen tomorrow, or the next day, or next year, or in 1,000 years. So I take comfort in the freedom of not knowing, as it helps offer hope. As they say, "Keep the faith!"
Love ya, sis! Have a blessed evening and weekend and have fun playing Mama to your adorable little goslings.
Good night! xoxo

I found a yellow bellied marmot today that was dragging its hind quarters along the ground. It stopped on some dirt and gravel and was sunning itself as I walked up to it and shoved it in a cardboard box. The little guy seemed like it was in a daze and just sat in the box shaking slightly. I closed the lid on the box and after about 10 minutes it started whistling off and on for 15 minutes. I then released it back unto the grassy area where it continued to drag itself around the grass seemingly unaware of my presence. I am not familiar with this animal so I do not know if that was normal behaviour. Anyone?

2. New case of Mad Cow disease discovered in California, First incident in U.S. since 2006:
http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-201_162-57420320/new-case-of-mad-cow-disease-discovered-in-california-first-since-2006/
"This was an atypical mad cow case," said Jim Roth of Iowa State's Food Safety and Public Health Center, in an interview with CBS News. The cow's own brain proteins "misfolded" and caused the disease spontaneously and the cow did not catch the disease from bad feed or from another cow.
"Atypical mad cow is not known to be transmissible, so neither animals nor humans could get sick from this cow.
"Mad cow disease, or bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE), can be fatal to humans who eat tainted beef. The World Health Organization has said that tests show that humans cannot be infected by drinking milk from BSE-infected animals."

Hole in the heart = 1 in 5 Americans.
When a person has stroke or transient ischemic stroke (TIA) "out of the blue" with no obvious risk factors, doctors often check to see if the event was caused by a "hole" in the heart called a patent foramen ovale (PFO)? About 1 in 5 Americans has a PFO.

I post this because my friend's 48 year old husband suffered a massive stroke on April 7 and is still in ICU (Texas). Yesterday it was determined that he has "holes in his heart". Thank you Federal Government, for all your fucked up radiation testing – you have screwed us all.

So sorry to hear about your friend's husband, Kondy.
As you may have read in some of my earlier postings on this thread, my circle of family and friends along the West Coast (WA to CA) have had too many heart attacks, massive strokes, etc. since 3/11 to be coincidental.
And so many previously healthy, relatively young people worldwide (like the 30 year old marathon runner in last Sunday's marathon in London) dropping dead from heart attacks this past year…so strange and sad.
What monsters have we unleashed upon the world??? Who is responsible and will they be held accountable???

KONDY!
My prayers and condolences to you, your friend, and her beloved hubby! The waves of grief and anger must be quite distressing, (understatement-I know).
None the less,..please know that prayers work, they help,…and I shall go pray in the sauna for "perseverance for us all"! Amen.

Love you too, StillJill! Yes, love IS the answer. Amen to that!

Genius scientist says chill! Radiation that reached other countries is miniscule. Check out Wikipedia and scroll down for "SI multiples and conversions" to "get" the math for yourself:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sievert
I'm not saying it's not unhealthy, and that there won't be thousands, maybe millions, of resulting cancers etc. But it's not nearly as dire as we'd thought. Even if unit 4 goes, it won't be the end of the world. So cheer up, wake up, and fight like hell to get all nukes shut down because they are all dangerous, even tho it turns out that the situation is not as dangerous as some of our commenters believe.
About unit 4, I'd been pushing for a team of international experts, but Halliburton and GE would jump in if there are profits to be snagged, which'd be more dangerous than the Japanese figuring it out for themselves.

"not nearly as dire…" hmm…???
….unless YOU, or your loved one is the statistic that suffers or dies. Then, number crunching becomes meaningless.
I guess "Good Luck" takes on a whole new meaning.

Mutated Dandelions in Schoolyard Dearborn MI 4.23.2012
Apr 23, 2012 by ichicax4
Third time I've looked for mutations in a week, and found them. Since posting 1st vid I have had numerous comments, emails, and photos sent to me about mutations occurring in Canada, the US & Europe found in the past week, some from last summer. And not just in dandelions, but in other flowers, fruits, vegetables, and vegetation.

Dandelions found today in a parking lot in Rochester Hills Michigan, about 20 miles north of Detroit, where I found mutations last weekend.

Palm springs ca. Just did yard work and, at least for now, no mutations. Giant weeds due to lazy home owner. Nothing would grow for a while and I was concerned.
