Whats wrong with the eggs ??
Guy's I boiled and peeled 36 eggs for a pickle egg batch, I let them sit over night to cool and peeled them yesterday, every egg but one would not peel the eggshell from the egg without deforming and mutilating the egg, many seemed the went to a second smaller eggs inside the first where much of the egg stuck to the shell, I did some back in Feb 6 and still waiting to enjoy and those eggs did not do this !?
What wrong with my eggs ??

@xdrfox re: eggs!? As a professional galley wench, I've boiled soooooo many eggs: white, brown, free-range organic local, or otherwise- in 10 gallon pots at a time. And then, we'd have to peeeel them…
Method:
Eggs in cold water, no salt.
Bring to roiling boil.
Remove from heat; let sit for *12* minutes.
Into Lexan of ice-water, dump them from on high, so the shells crack.
Drain into colander; shake and toss without mercy.
Transfer to another icy Lexan, trying for more cracks.
Into the walk-in for at least overnight.
Peel under water (sometimes running).
60% of the time- easy peeling, smooth outsides & perfect yellow yolks…(oh, goody! 12 dozen perfect deviled eggs! }8}
the other 40%…well, somebody goes apeshit over the peeling, a hideous egg fight ensues…
And then there would be sometimes a delicious egg salad.
All this is to say: in my experience, eggshells are untrustworthy and crazy-making- no matter the method, the cook, their origin, or DNA damage

Mad cow disease discovered in California animal, but food supply declared safe
How the California cow got the disease remains unknown. Government officials expressed confidence that contaminated food was not the source, saying the animal had atypical L-type BSE, a rare variant not generally associated with an animal consuming infected feed.
However, a BSE expert said that consumption of infected material is the only known way that cattle get the disease under natural conditons.
“In view of what we know about BSE after almost 20 years experience, contaminated feed has been the source of the epidemic,” said Paul Brown, a scientist retired from the National Institute of Neurological Diseases and Stroke.
It is possible the disease could arise spontaneously, though such an event has never been recorded, Brown said.

Maybe the mad cow disease comes from radiation. When the cow gets radiation from the grass (after Chernobyl it was plentiful) it gets sick and dies. Then that cow doesn't go to market so it is used for feed and the radiation continues on it's path to infecting the next cow. There was a huge increase in Mad Cow after chernobyl and lord only knows the industry wouldn't want people thinking radiation can cause sponge brain….just a thought.

Governments failing to avert catastrophic climate change, IEA warns
"Governments are falling badly behind on low-carbon energy, putting carbon reduction targets out of reach and pushing the world to the brink of catastrophic climate change, the world's leading independent energy authority will warn on Wednesday.
The stark judgment is being given at a key meeting of energy ministers from the world's biggest economies and emitters taking place in London on Wednesday – a meeting already overshadowed by David Cameron's last-minute withdrawal from a keynote speech planned for Thursday.
"The world's energy system is being pushed to breaking point," Maria van der Hoeven, executive director of the International Energy Agency, writes in today's Guardian. "Our addiction to fossil fuels grows stronger each year. Many clean energy technologies are available but they are not being deployed quickly enough to avert potentially disastrous consequences."
On current form, she warns, the world is on track for warming of 6C by the end of the century – a level that would create catastrophe, wiping out agriculture in many areas and rendering swathes of the globe uninhabitable, as well as raising sea levels and causing mass migration, according to scientists. The safest way I know of chasing the blues away is to smoke the leaves of Coleus Forskoli, a medicinal herb that has been used for 3,000+ years in India. There are no side effects and this wonder plant treats about 14 different diseases. Glaucoma, cardiovascular disease, asthma (This is why I smoke it EVERYDAY), as well as modifying your cAMP metabolism and many others that I can't remember. A wonderful vasodilator.
In all seriousness, a worst case senario for plutonium inhalation gives us all about 2 to 5 years before lung inflamation causes asthma like symptoms. This would go a long way to relieve suffering.
It is basically a plant-based steroid, with no side effects. Highly recommended.

Burger King Promises To Go Cage-Free

AP) — The movement by U.S. food corporations toward more humane treatment of animals experienced a whopper of a shift Wednesday when Burger King announced that all of its eggs and pork will come from cage-free chickens and pigs by 2017.
The decision by the world's second-biggest fast-food restaurant raises the bar for other companies seeking to appeal to the rising consumer demand for more humanely produced fare.

***This isn't the first time Canadian scientists have been muzzled.
In October, Dr. David Tarasick published findings about one of the largest ozone holes ever discovered above the Arctic. But the federal scientist was prohibited, by Environment Canada, from breathing a word about it to the media.
Kristi Miller was similarly gagged from granting interviews about her own research into a virus that might be killing British Columbia's wild sockeye salmon, despite going to print in the prestigious journal Science.
Environmental activist and visual artist Franke James says she's not surprised by the lastest government edict.
James points to a 2007 Environment Canada Media Relations protocol that states: "Just as we have one department, one website, we should have one department, one voice."
"The muzzling of our scientists is part of a campaign to silence environmental voices so that the true facts about the impacts of carbon pollution will not influence mainstream voters," James told Yahoo! Canada News in an email exchange Tuesday.
Last year, James alleged that the Harper government pulled her funding for an international art show because her 'visual essays' challenged the Canadian government over its inaction on climate change.***

Cutting Edge Stem Cell Treatment in Boone
Many of us may be jealous of our dogs today, that after a new treatment was shown yesterday to use cutting edge medical technology to treat painful joint disorders such as arthritis—for your four-legged friend. The procedure was demonstrated by Dr. David Linzey of the Animal Emergency and Pet Care Clinic, who described the new system, “The procedure is called stem cell regenerative therapy. This process has been around for several years, but it’s being offered now by a new company so that it can be performed in-house. We’re functioning as a referral center for all of western North Carolina.” Dr. Linzey described what the system can do, “Stem cells, by definition, are basically repair cells. So what we’re doing is collecting large numbers of these stem cells and we’re activating them and charging them up and flooding the body with them, and they will seek out areas of inflammation, cell and tissue damage. And when they find those areas, they have the capability to turn into a variety of tissues.”<br />Yesterday’s case Linzey described as a typical use for the therapy, “Max is kind of a typical case. Facial soap's surprise wheat ingredient triggers allergies
April 25, 2012
The soap that has gone on trial this month is Cha no Shizuku, roughly translated as "a drop of tea," a green tea-based cleansing bar popular among Japanese women and valued for its so-called natural purity.
Unfortunately for the manufacturer, it was a drop of wheat, not tea, in the soap that apparently has caused an outbreak of allergic reactions, many resulting in hospitalization. The soap went on sale in 2004, but only in the last year have most of the allergic reactions surfaced, likely the result of repeated use of the soap, Japanese scientists say. Some users now might have a permanent food allergy to wheat as a result. …

U.S. Needs Top-Level Approval to Launch Cyberattacks
WASHINGTON (AP) — The United States would use cyber weapons against an adversary's computer networks only after officials at the highest levels of government approved of the operation because of the risks of collateral damage, a senior U.S. military official said Tuesday.
The director of intelligence at U.S. Cyber Command, Rear Adm. Samuel Cox, said that cyberattacks can do significant harm to a country's infrastructure and should never be carried out in a cavalier manner. Offensive cyber operations are difficult to conduct with precision to avoid unintended casualties and damage to unrelated systems, he said.
"If you're trying to do precision strike in cyberspace with a very high degree of …

Willingboro shuts down water well that tested high for radiation
Wednesday, April 18, 2012 5:00 am
WILLINGBORO — The township recently shut down a water well that tested with radiation levels in excess of federal drinking standards.
Notices were sent Tuesday to residents and businesses normally served by the well.
Well No. 5 on Baldwin Lane tested over the permitted levels of gross alpha radiation — which could include radium, uranium and radon — based on test results received late last month, said Joe Bateman, executive director of the township Municipal Utilities Authority. All three naturally occur in the environment.
The levels demonstrated are not expected to cause immediate health risks to the public, Bateman stressed. The notice indicated that “some people who drink water containing alpha radiation in excess of the maximum contaminant level may have an increased risk of getting cancer after many years of consumption.”
“The maximum contaminant level is very …

"An alternative water source does not need to be used; those with health concerns should contact their doctor, Bateman said. The water is safe for laundry and bathing, according to the notice.
Bateman said most alpha radiation cannot penetrate skin."

Fat chance of 'Change' in the War on Drugs
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nMH18WIuIQk&feature=player_embedded
If President Obama had a son, he would look like Trayvon Martin. So the president famously said.
And the president’s son would thereby find himself at significantly greater risk of running afoul of the so-called “War on Drugs” than, say, a son of George W. Bush. Depending on what state he lived in, a Trayvon Obama might be 57 times more likely than a Trayvon Bush to be imprisoned on drug charges.
This is not because he …

I spent some time today researching Anne's links for Tokai as well as other information.
There is an experimental reactor there http://gci.nst.pku.edu.cn/tsinghua/academy/2-7.htm

I wonder what you might know about Tokai and any threat it poses?

How shall we tax thee? Let me count the ways -
"Is global warming just hot air? World temperatures have risen by just 0.29C in the last two decades. 'Green' policy burdens will cost families £267 a year extra by 2030."
"The figures were unveiled as an environmental guru and maverick scientist admitted that he may have been ‘alarmist’ about climate change.
James Lovelock, who warned that billions would die before the end of this century and only the Arctic would be fit for human habitation, said: ‘The problem is we don’t know what the climate is doing. We thought we knew 20 years ago. That led to some alarmist books – mine included – because it looked clear-cut, but it hasn’t happened.’"
The 92-year-old told MSNBC in America: ‘The climate is doing its usual tricks. There’s nothing much really happening yet. We were supposed to be halfway toward a frying world now. The world has not warmed up very much since the millennium. Twelve years is a reasonable time… it (the temperature) has stayed almost constant, whereas [according to his theory of anthropogenic global warming] it should have been rising.’

Hi bleep. James Lovelock, you say?…
"In 2004 he caused a media sensation when he broke with many fellow environmentalists by pronouncing that "only nuclear power can now halt global warming". In his view, nuclear energy is the only realistic alternative to fossil fuels that has the capacity to both fulfill the large scale energy needs of humankind while also reducing greenhouse emissions. He is an open member of Environmentalists for Nuclear Energy.
In 2005, against the backdrop of renewed UK government interest in nuclear power, Lovelock again publicly announced his support for nuclear energy, stating, "I am a Green, and I entreat my friends in the movement to drop their wrongheaded objection to nuclear energy".[19] Although these interventions in the public debate on nuclear power are recent, his views on it are longstanding."
In your post, you truncated a quotation from him. You left out this part: "carbon dioxide is rising, no question about that".

Officials Close Gulf Waters to Shrimping As Reports of Deformed Seafood Intensify :Gulf Seafood Update
Alarmed by widespread reports of visibly sick, deformed seafood coming out of the Gulf of Mexico, state officials have closed area waters to shrimping this morning (April 23). The waters will be closed indefinitely as scientists run tests in an effort to get a handle on a situation that is fast becoming a full-blown crisis on the Gulf Coast.
The closures – including all waters in the Mississippi Sound, Mobile Bay, areas of Bon Secour, Wolf Bay and Little Lagoon – mark the first official step in responding to increasingly urgent reports from fishermen and scientists of grotesquely disfigured seafood from Louisiana to the Florida panhandle.
The move is yet another major setback for the once-legendary Gulf seafood industry as it continues to …

SP: i just detest the unabashed Fuking liars in Washington as I saw the fat toad from Washington assure Brian Williams "we routinely test cows for mad cow disease" and "I'm going home and eat beef tonight!"
Good for you.. You better hope your brain doesn't turns into a sponge or even worse… the brains of your children.
Testing of less than 1% of cows at the slaughterhouse is "routine" in their mad nuclear cabal-run government. It would cost an extra 5 cents per pound of beef to test 100% of the cows. But bureaucrats never let a nickel go to waste when they get fat campaign contributions to ease any pangs of guilt over screwing the millions of zombie naked apes lined up for their yummy Big Macs. What the hell… It tastes so good and besides that extremely painful brain disease has only killed about 40,000 people worldwide since 1992.
"News of a new “mad cow” in the United States could not come at a worse time.
The U.S. is in the process of trying to win back Japan and China’s business, not fully restored since the first U.S. mad cow, discovered in 2003. Ninety-eight percent of U.S. beef exports evaporated within 24 hours when Mexico, Russia, Brazil, South Africa, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, Malaysia, South Korea, and 90 other countries banned US beef. The only reason the European Union didn’t ban U.S. beef was because it had already banned it for excessive use of growth hormones!"
