That's a tricky one, Heart, and I'm not ready to take it at face value yet. The assault on free speech part is obvious… perhaps too obvious, in the following sense.
If the proposed legislation gets beaten back, as surely it will, then there is no impediment for big gov/biz/media interests to continue and expand their automated sock puppetry for anonymous posting.

Funny how Facebook is always despaired trying to connect me through the Facebook plugin here on Enenews. You people know that every time you connect to Enenews that the Facebook plugin sends your ip (at least) by which Facebook knows A: you are online B: your visiting Enenews? Same counts for the Youtube etc video's who started noticing that people are getting aware of these 'spy' actions and now you see already on some websites sites (which have these embedded video's) that embedding video's is no longer aloud..
You can block these spy plugins, just download peerblock, go to iblock for block lists if you cannot create them yourself.

Just today one of my 'puters sent me to the Facebook login page any time I tried to go to Enenews (using Firefox). Key in Enenews dot com and get sent to Facebook, no matter what. Clearing all history in Firefox cured the symptom.
I'm of two minds about all the spying. On one hand I'd prefer to see targeted ads (if any) rather than random ads (TV-style) and on the other hand there is obvious potential for abuse, so I'm absolutely sure gov/industry will abuse it.

Vitaly Citovsky, Ph.D. was commissioned by a biotech company to do a study on the safety of the gene splice material most commonly used in GMO's. A. tumifascens causes crown gall in plants. It is commonly used to "splice" genetic material between one type of plant and another (or an organism and a plant).
Dr. Citovsky warned in 2001 A. tumifascens has the potential to jump cross-kingdom from plants to animals.
Several patients with Morgellons disease have been found to have A. tumifascens in their tissues. It is not clear whether or not this is the genetically modified strain of A. tumifascens used for GM gene splicing.
There are many, many published studies documenting increased incidence of cancer, miscarriage, and other serious disorders in animals due to GM consumption.

Anne: I trust you will not be shocked with my own theory about gold which amounts to asking my son to cash in his gold (Can't afford the speculation on it myself.) after explaining my reasoning that it has maintained its value, even at this present time due to the positively humungous demand for it coming from central banks.
(Prior to that around 2007 i thought gold would go ballistic. No longer do i think it.)
They had more recently been buying buying it buy the 100ds of tons at a time with India buying 200 tons and the list goes on . So i thought to myself, this must be the demand for gold that is keeping it an artificial high because if they were to stop buying it, the balance of those selling to rest-structure their existing debt would force an oversupply.
The more sinister side is that if a currency was ever to be pegged to gold again it would be the central banks who hold the trump card.
Added to this i compounded the scenario by assuming gold is something that is only of value if the other basics like water, food, air, are clean and of no use if these are not there to begin with, so if the quality of life is further reduced, then the only ones left buying and creating demand would be the die hard central banks and precious metal buyers.
As for Bill gates theory, even if he is right about gold, he is wrong about all his "why's" and is like the article says, trying to find some kind of identity beyond a humble software provider

I guess if you kill off 95% of the population of the world and only 250-300 million people are left, then a gold standard makes sense. I really don't want anyone to be one of the 7 billion people to be eliminated. The people who advocate depopulation don't seem to realize that radiation kills and is accumulating rapidly and will never go away and that viruses also kill indiscriminately. These people are killing themselves in their zeal to kill everyone else. Surely an insanity and reduction in intelligence caused by the radiation they promote. Love of gold – don't we have a story about the Midas touch that's been around for a long time?

This thread seemed the best place to post this article. The photos are interesting, but if you look at them a while you realize they are showing mainly (old?) driftwood. Alaskan and BC waters are notorious for their driftwood (a side-effect of logging operations).
I think future photos of alleged tsunami debris will be far less ambiguous – we'll know it's the real thing at some point. By then the public may have lost interest and be numb to the implications.

They give a lot of those very powerful drugs to the elderly….Seroquel, haldol two very strong drugs that have an off label use…not for the elderly says so on the warnings and the doctors give it to them anyway and I believe it's to speed up the end….drugs like seroquel cause the person to act psychotically then they say, there you see they need the drugs…in canada they will not allow these drugs for the elderly….meanwhile the doctors and hospitals get kick backs from companies like astra zenica for every new client they perscribe the drugs.
They put a loved one on these in the hospital and we made them stop, it was after the drug caused permanent muscle contractions and cerebral events (seroquel causes huge fluctuations in blood pressure).

Many Moons, sadly our family had a similar experience with an elderly loved one on Serequel. It is horrific and unconscionable what the Drug Pusher Pharmas will do for money! The makers of Serequel were eventually sued in a class action lawsuit, but our loved one was still put on the drug years later! (obviously the doc didn't know about the lawsuit…) Argh! Disgusting!
Sorry your family went through this as well, and glad you made sure the docs stopped prescribing the drug!

"Florida Governor Rick Scott (R) has ordered the state to purge all “non-citizens” from the voting rolls prior to November’s election. But that list compiled by the Scott administration is so riddled with errors that, in Miami-Dade County alone, hundreds of U.S. citizens are being told they are ineligible to vote. (…)
In short, an excess of 20 percent of the voters flagged as “non-citizens” in Miami-Dade are, in fact, citizens. And the actual number may be much higher.
The purge of fully eligible voters from the voting rolls by Scott could be enough to tip the balance in Florida and, perhaps, the presidential election. In 2000, the final (disputed) margin was just 537 votes.

Meet ‘Flame’, The Massive Spy Malware Infiltrating Iranian Computers
The malware, discovered by Russia-based anti-virus firm Kaspersky Lab, is an espionage toolkit that has been infecting targeted systems in Iran, Lebanon, Syria, Sudan, the Israeli Occupied Territories and other countries in the Middle East and North Africa for at least two years.
Dubbed “Flame” by Kaspersky, the malicious code dwarfs Stuxnet in size – the groundbreaking infrastructure-sabotaging malware that is believed to have wreaked havoc on Iran’s nuclear program in 2009 and 2010. Although Flame has both a different purpose and composition than Stuxnet, and appears to have been written by different programmers, its complexity, the geographic scope of its infections and its behavior indicate strongly that a nation-state is behind Flame, rather than common cyber-criminals — marking it as yet another tool in the growing arsenal of cyberweaponry.
Early analysis of Flame by the Lab indicates that it’s designed primarily to spy on the users of infected computers and steal data from them, including documents, recorded conversations and keystrokes. It also opens a backdoor to infected systems to allow the attackers to tweak the toolkit and add new functionality.
