US scientists celebrate return of the cougar to the American midwest
"Cougars are recolonising the mid-western United States, according to scientists, reversing 100 years of decline. The population of big cats, also known as American mountain lions, has rocketed in these states, from less than a hundred in 1990 to about 30,000 today.
Michelle LaRue from the University of Minnesota said that the midwest population of cougars had been "effectively zero" two decades ago. "That's why this is so exciting," she said. "We have hard evidence that the western population has spread."
The population of cougars declined substantially from about 1900, victims of hunting and a lack of suitable prey. Once considered a "bounty predator" and hunted to near extinction locally, cougars are now protected by law.
Three established breeding populations now exist in the upper midwest, in North Dakota, the Black Hills in South Dakota, and Nebraska, said LaRue, but cougars have been venturing far outside this range."

My purpose for posting the above quote was to ask you to look at the risks of cancer, & other health issues when considering speaking to someone about the risks of Nuclear plants. Ask them..is it going to be you, your child or parent that is the acceptable person who will suffer as a result of the risk that both governments & business are willing to take?!?…all in the name of Profit.

Did you read the part about the fact that over 12,000 people visited Agate Park to see the 66 ft. Japanese dock that washed ashore there a couple weeks ago? The debris will no doubt be a big tourist attraction in the coming weeks and months as more and more wash ashore.
It is good they are at least advising people to say away from it as there are potential hazards, one of which could be radiation.

The TV news report touched upon the cost of removing that dock at over 100,000 dollars. They said the cash strapped state wants the feds to kick in for cleanup.

I think that the 9.0 earthquake was a terrible accident, and not maliciously planned. The nuclear industry itself is responsible for this accident. Fukushima, especially, should never have been built. This is true of all other nuclear reactors and nuclear weapons, but expecially true of the Fukushima power plants. Focus on Fukushima takes the attention from all the other failed nuclear endeavors and meltdowns.

The reason the Germans are closing down their nuclear power plants is because they have the medical knowledge of the harm radiation causes to life and they have scientists who know the dangers of nuclear power plants and methane.

One thing I've noticed is what I've come to call the 'HAARP police' here on enenews. Seems there are a few whose 'job' it is to jump on & ridicule/cast doubt upon any posts/posters suggesting a link between HAARP & the 3/11 Japan/Fukushima quake.
Standing back & looking at this analytically – well, one of the BIG things TPTB would want to squelch out of the box would be evidence/theories that the huge disaster of the Fuku. quake & nuclear debacle might have been DELIBERATELY TRIGGERED by themselves…for the usual reasons having to do with their quest for profit & empire – for no less than total world empire – control of the wealth & wealth-production centers of the world.
We know that the gangsta elites have motive, means,& opportunity to trigger all sorts of mayhem globally (wars, inflation, depression, the rise & fall of financial/national empires, etc.) – in their quest for world monopoly government… but to the average dumbed-down human 'product' it seems PREPOSTEROUS ON ITS FACE that said elites might even have achieved enuf power over the 'forces of nature' to trigger/influence 'acts of God/nature'.
So a little ridicule & dissing of any such suggestion is enuf to convince most people that such simply could not be the case.

I believe it was Hitler who said that the big lies actually are swallowed by the gullible public more easily than than smaller ones — they just seem so preposterous out of the box that people don't even stop to consider the evidence, as it were.

Google releases ‘troubling’ data on government requests to remove content
U.S. leads the pack in sheer volume of requests
Google pulled back the curtains on itself Sunday with the release of its latest “transparency report,” calling the results “troubling.”
The search giant’s report is the fifth of its kind, and details the number and kind of requests the company receives from governments around the world regarding the removal of user content.
"Unfortunately, what we've seen over the past couple years has been troubling, and today is no different," Senior Policy Analyst Dorothy Chou wrote in a post on the official Google blog.
Noting that the search engine is regularly asked to remove political speech, Chou wrote, "Its alarming not only because free expression is at risk, but because some of these requests come from countries you might not suspect — Western democracies not typically associated with censorship."

~It sounds good doesn't it? It did to me until I read this from the article on page 2:
"The World Bank, meanwhile, is backing projects in Botswana, Colombia, Costa Rica, Madagascar and the Philippines that are looking for ways for national accounts to include the value of natural resources."
~We know banks are in the job to make money…so when we see the largest bank in the world funding this we should also expect more money making ventures.~

The Fluoride Action Network (FAN) has a wealth of information about fluoride, including its many health consequences (http://www.fluoridealert.org/).
Oddly enough, fluoride ingestion is linked to causing tooth decay, not preventing it. Fluoride has also been found to destroy bones and vital organs, and is now linked to the current epidemic of thyroid disorders since it displaces iodine in this important gland.
~I agree that we Must stop adding Fluoride to water but I was not aware that it displaces iodine. This is quite alarming when you add in the absorption of Iodine-131 from Nuclear fallout. It certainly puts children even more at risk.~

Good info, thank you WildTurnip. I am feeling much better since taking iodine and the quote makes sense. When I first took it, I didn't read the instruction (typical!) and one drop on my tongue was like nuclear explosion, the bottle was cold but as soon as it hit my tongue it was hot. lol I think I was meant to dilute it in water and sip.

Furious Greenpeace moves to 'war footing' at Rio+20
"The head of Greenpeace Intl. said the NGO is moving to a "war footing" after negotiators at the Rio+20 sustainable development conference watered down proposals to protect the world's oceans.
Kumi Naidoo, Greenpeace Intl.'s executive director, said there were so many fudges in the draft agreement that Greenpeace now had no other option but to change its strategy and start planning waves of civil disobedience. (…)

Well, it's nice to see Greenpeace growing a pair of goolies.
I gave up on them years ago after contacting them over a new, significant and growing threat to the environment. Never heard back from them, not even an acknowledgement.
I took it they had been bought by the other side.

"Private companies will be running large parts of the UK's police service within five years
David Taylor-Smith, the head of G4S for the UK and Africa, said he expected police forces across the country to sign up to similar deals to those on the table in the West Midlands and Surrey, which could result in private companies taking responsibility for duties ranging from investigating crimes to transporting suspects and managing intelligence.
The prediction comes as it emerged that 10 more police forces were considering outsourcing deals that would see services, such as running police cells and operating IT, run by private firms.
