Pei pa koa is pretty decent cough medicine (from herbal as I remembered), great non alcoholic medicine, some western cough medicine are more effective, but this is non drowsy.

The whales are gonna end up with the biggest body burden from all the Fukuleaks. Far more crap is pouring into the ocean than into the air. Last time I eat sushi from a Japanese restaurant. But the fish swim across the ocean too, following all the tsunami debris that’s like a magnet to birds..
As for everyone with metallic taste in mouth – what are your fillings made out of?
Report Comment
Not plutonium- yet. We hope.

I’m on Vancouver Island too. No metallic taste or red blotches. It’s supposed to rain for the next week so will head inside.
My cat has turned a strange black colour though. Not surprising, since he was black yesterday as well.

hahaha arent you funny little dick.

There is no danger to Canada or the USA, as the levels are just too low IMO. It would be a good idea to detox with Zeolite from time to time. It’s just not significant enough to worry about. Of course if we were in Japan, then yes…

errr….somebody is letting the Talking Heads do their thinking for them. not a good idea generally.

Hawaii – constant metal taste in mouth – 3 weeks. sore throat with no cold. but no worries! woot (happily the jet stream is being kind cuz last two days no metal). what’s the saying again? ANY radiation is GOOD radiation

Where did the forecast for Apr 24-25 go, the one modeling what appear to be radiation levels of up to 20 Becquerel per square metre for Cs-137 and up to 400 Becquerel per square metre for Iodine 131 over Canada’s west coast?? I cannot find it anymore! Coincidence?
There is NO DATA publicly available here in Canada and Vancouver about radioactivity measured in drinking water, milk, seafood (including imported) or air. Metro Vancouver says “the labs are back logged” when asked why their last published drinking water measurements are from April 11. That’s 17 days ago!! I have contacted media, universities, Greenpeace and political candidates re the concern of missing data. No one seems interested, in the middle of a federal election. Mark is right–there is total apathy in this country, it is appalling.

Isabel:
Scroll down to the bottom and you’ll find the radiation plume forecast using the “Older Entries” button.
Forecast used to be on the right-hand bottom but no longer there?
I live on the BC coast and the sudden jump in measured rates is very unnerving…
Report Comment
Correction – not actual measured rates of radioactive particles but extrapolated from the announced levels from Fukushima.
