Zukunashi no Hiyamizu, June 9, 2014 (h/t Dissensus Japan]: Why many of decontamination volunteers died — “Genpatsu Mondai” wrote a blog article in the May 21, 2014 titled “Joining the volunteer with Fukushima citizens result in sudden death!!! Two of fifteen students in the neighborhood already died from an unknown cause”. In this article, you can read many dead cases of volunteers who went to Fukushima and worked there. They went to contaminated area and worked for decontamination as volunteers. [...] Basically the purpose of volunteers is to go to the contaminated area where the air dose rate is high and to work there.

Sulejman Brkic, June 12, 2014: We left for Fukushima by bus very early on May 31, from Yokohama [...] At the rest area where we stopped to pick up our guide, Masumi K. [...] According to Masumi san, the population is divided between those who trust the government and the ones who don’t [...]  Don’t forget Fukushima are the words spoken to us by Masumi K. [...] Masumi is from Okuma which she fled with her family after the nuclear explosions in 2011 [...] She has been also battling cancer for some time now [...] her husband got seriously sick and needed a new kidney, Masumi gave him one of hers. [...] [A] young anonymous worker [at Fukushima Daiichi] told us [...] about so many small and big acts of exploitation [...] that…well…one stops listening, not on purpose, but it’s just too much, too overwhelming, it starts sounding normal after a while, I am sorry I can’t remember all of it. At every step in that area one can see or hear or feel the Japanese government’s lies and crimes. [...] After the young anonymous worker, Masumi K talked again. She told us, again among many other stories of suffering, about the increase in suicides, consumption of alcohol, domestic violence, depression…she also told us how after the ongoing nuclear disaster there was a time when quite lots of people suddenly started having nose bleeds, cats and dogs too, it lasted for some time and then it suddenly stopped.

Oh, and maybe because insurances may not cover that kind of illness; the community these kids live in either. I believe my 84 year old hubby had a bladder tumor come loose while in the restroom of the doctor office.
He had no knowledge of any bladder problems. Lots of blood came out on the floor freaking me out! The nursing staff was very slow and non nonchalant about helping him. Later the urologist said that it was a bladder infection. However, for several days dark blood , tissue, and tissue clots came out in his urine. We almost solely rely on Heaven and natural healing so I put these methods to use. Now he feels pretty normal (for 84) for which we are both thankful. The U.S. medical establishment is not, I repeat NOT ready to handle ANY major medical catastrophe that is coming. Please arm yourself with TRUE FAITH and preventative natural healing measures. There is early stage radiation damage (that includes depleted white blood cells and platelets) that lasts a few weeks (like the nose bleeds, etc.) and then there is late stage radiation damage.
Not only is the DNA damaged, but the intestinal walls, bone marrow and the inner walls of their blood vessels get very damaged (leading to strokes, heart attacks, etc.). Permanent health effects can be seen within months or decades – up to 30 years later.
Bottom line – the people and animals got huge doses of gamma rays from Cs-137 and perhaps even some beta radiation from Sr-90, Y-90 ingestion depending on what they ate. I would not be writing life insurance policies for any of those poor people.

Noam Chomsky on human extinction: The corporate elite are actively courting disaster

“Who is accelerating it?” Chomsky said. “The most privileged, so-called advanced, educated populations of the world.”

He compared this phenomenon to a theory by Ernst Mayr, a 20th-century evolutionary biologist who speculated humans would never encounter intelligent extraterrestrials because higher life forms quickly force themselves into extinction.

“Mayr argued that the adaptive value of what is called ‘higher intelligence’ is very low,” Chomsky said. “Beetles and bacteria are much more adaptive than humans. We will find out if it is better to be smart than stupid. We may be a biological error, using the 100,000 years which Mayr gives [as] the life expectancy of a species to destroy ourselves and many other life forms on the planet.”

But Chomsky remained hopeful that the corporate elite could be overthrown before they bring on environmental disaster, citing historical examples of mass movements that returned power to autonomous collectives.

……clamshellernh……first…I gave you a response, in 2 sections, on your Mercury Rx/communications issue question (under ENEnews article "4 quakes above M5.0 jolt").

Your comment on Chomsky/Mayr: As many of us are, Chomsky's concerned about extinction. My feeling is, near extinction will arrive due to numerous factors, incl. increasing nuclear radiation and extreme climate change. Am saying 'near' extinction, as I feel there will be pockets of survivors. And the generations following will soon evolve with genome fortified against radiation. I feel this is highly possible as other life forms have exhibited this capacity.

I have no sense for how long humans will survive into the far future. Regarding so-called 'higher' intelligence, we do have the story of Atlantis and the Atlanteans who were developed to a very high level. Except it was this evolved development which did in their civilization. Atlantis has yet to be found, though that still may happen.

The problem with 'higher' intelligence is, I think, the problem of ego. Ego may swell with high intelligence. This bloating may then restrict the natural senses which remain closer to the most important truth(s) for sentient existence. In other words, there's a Catch-22 for increasing intelligence beyond a certain point. Rather than be 'stupid' as the better option, there's probably an optimum….i.e., an adequate amount of intelligence. As for 'moral' intelligence….

……the sky can be the limit for that.

It's highly possible the corporate elite may be overthrown. If it's going to happen, astrologically, this is the most opportune time for that. Pluto currently is going through Capricorn, the zodiacal sign concerned with systems and structures, corporate affairs, including high finance and economics. Pluto represents the process of elimination, the getting rid of anything outmoded, outworn, corrupt, rotting, etc. So its transit will appear as if it's doing a thorough number on the affairs of Capricorn, and this scouring out will last past 2024 when it enters Aquarius, probably until well into that sign, this part of it being a sort of aftermath.

So we may be seeing a good collapse of various systems needing reform…re-forming. Pluto represents high toxicity, btw, and is related to Plutonium.

It's been reported in Japan (news reports and videos on youtube) that installed public display monitors (about a meter off the ground), that readings are exponentially less than the surrounding area. Some decom was done immediately around the monitors so that the monitors don't reflect the true conditions of the area being measured. There are also news reports that question, 1. the calibration of the monitors and 2. the "official" test results reporting.

Alpha and beta readings are low because these emissions do not travel very far from the source due to air molecules. Gamma rays/particles travel at almost the speed of light so this emission is best for atmospheric testing. If you sign up, you will see the high readings that used to be free.

My personal opinion is that the 2020 Tokyo Olympics will not occur anywhere near Tokyo as Japan will be reeling from even greater radiation problems than they are today. However, the thought of holding an Olympic torch rally through Fukushima Prefecture is somewhat amusing as the torch bearers will be running for their lives. It will be a series of 100 meter dashes with handoffs. The current leaders of Japan are almost as clueless as their American peers – see Obama's new marine life protection zones.

"Vowing to protect fragile marine life, President Barack Obama acted Tuesday to create the world’s largest ocean preserve by expanding a national monument his predecessor established in waters thousands of miles from the American mainland." (WaPo)
I am sooo glad that the administration is now going to protect marine life in the ocean, I just wonder exactly how they are going to do this. Perhaps a presidential signing order that all radionuclides must decay to lead within 3 weeks. That ought to clear up the problem.
The President has definately drawn a line in the water – this time!

It means the "old" (Chernobyl background) has increased exponentially over the 3 years since 3 11. Radio dust acts weird in the heat we get a zero reading here a lot followed by 36 for spikes later after sunset due to "fallout" effect from cooler particles of dust settling during the cooler hours of the day. Mars wont work at all. Very little gravity, wrong atmosphere, ….nothing is right for humans there.

By far the easiest place to terraform and make into paradise would be the earth, even one contaminated by radionuclides. Why doesnt the species try it here first before trying somewhere a hell of a long ways away?

Thanks D.S. that explains the sudden drop on netc readings! What I have noticed when the rain storms pass through areas the readings went up. The only conclusion to come to is there is more radiation, but how bad is it really? Worse than before for sure! Legitimate testing of foods across the board would seem like a good idea! Maybe humans and animals? I guess if and when lots of people get sick and die the ones that are left will be more aware of the danger besides us!

The children and adults exposed to low level ionizing radiation are facing DNA damage. A study of Chernobyl thyoid cancers shows what happens, also the fact that it is possible children of exposed adults/children will have increased cancers such as colon cancer. While a difficult article to read, those with the 'bleeding' after Fukushima exposure, need help with ID of damage to gene structures..

You are welcome TFHB and yes readings go up during rain storms as the rain bings down radioactive dust. Fuku and other NPPs are adding this dust and gases to the atmosphere on an ongoing rate. Someone should re-release the old musical hit Singing in the Rain as Stinging in the Rain.

Stinging in the rain! That's a good one reminds me when I was seen with an umbrella during light rain in 2011. I was telling everybody about the exploding reactors and fallout. People noted how the rain gave their skin a burning sensation! I always felt sick as most other people I know the days it rained. I should have had a mask and hazmat suit on and taking iodine pills! As most of us should have been the summer of '11. So much for "cold shutdown"

These articles are big stories and lets hope they go viral. The decontamination volunteers are dying, getting nose bleeds. Its a Hot Zone, nobody should be in for any extended amount of time. As little time as possible. What is it going to take? Two teenagers died suddenly while there. Nose bleeds in the school children, raging lymphomas. Its not Chernobyl,it is soo much worse and ffs Chernobyl is a no go zone. Is the world just supposed to forget about that?

Seems with enough PR people, the powers that be not only want people to forget about Chernobyl but also forget that Radiation Kills. In low doses. It bio accumulates. forever exponentially. They also want people to somehow not know there are over 3 raging melt downs pouring into the ocean fresh contamination everyday into the air, ground and sea. And they want people to fish, eat the food, be happy. Its just too sick for words. The inmates are running the asylum.

Events like Fukushima are urgent reminders of the need to develop new technologies to contain or neutralize radioactivity.

Dr. Yasuhiro Iwamura of the Advanced Technology Research Center at Mitsubishi Heavy Industries of Japan recently presented groundbreaking successes at a conference at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). His new process (see schematic below) uses a permeable palladium film to transmute radioactive cesium into praseodymium.

Praseodymium is a rare earth element used to produce high strength metal for aircraft engines; it is also used as a UV absorbing colorant in glass, and boosts the performance of neodymium in magnets, which are used in electric motors.

Tech Metals Insider spoke with Dr. Iwamura to learn more about the process and its implications.

“Our approach can be characterized by the permeation of D2 (deuterium) gas through the nano-structured Pd complex and the addition of an element that is specifically targeted to be transmuted,” he said. “Permeation of deuterium is attained by exposing one side of the Pd multilayer thin film to D2 gas while maintaining the other side under vacuum conditions.”

“Our main target is the remediation of nuclear waste”, explained Iwamura. “Producing energy from the process will be our next topic, but cost is an issue. It will be easier for our company to only solve the issue of nuclear waste…

Transmutation of Radioactive Wastes is “Nuclear Alchemy Gamble”
Hugely Expensive Technology Would Increase Environmental, Health, Safety And Nuclear Proliferation Risks, New Report Says
“Washington, D.C. (May 24, 2000): Nuclear industry claims for a proposed radioactive waste management technology called “transmutation” are fundamentally deficient and overly optimistic according to a new report released today at the National Press Club. The Nuclear Alchemy Gamble: An Assessment of Transmutation as a Nuclear Waste Management Strategy, by the Institute for Energy and Environmental Research (IEER), warns of the high cost and technical limitations of transmutation, as well as the safety and environmental dangers it poses. Transmutation aims to convert long-lived radioactive waste components, such as plutonium, into short-lived or stable materials. Some proponents claim the technology could reduce the period over which nuclear wastes remain dangerous from millions of years to a few centuries.
“’Transmutation will not solve the nuclear waste problem and could, in fact, make it worse,” said Hisham Zerriffi, principal author of the report and a Senior Scientist at IEER. “Even proponents of the scheme now acknowledge that a geologic repository would still be needed for much of the residual long-lived waste. Huge volumes of ‘low-level’ and transuranic waste will also be created. Moreover, proliferation dangers would increase due to repeated separation of plutonium and other…

Moreover, proliferation dangers would increase due to repeated separation of plutonium and other transuranic materials in reprocessing plants. The waste transmutation program should be ended now, in its early phase, before needless expenditures and risks have been incurred.’
“The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is considering launching a transmutation program that is based on preliminary work done at the agency’s nuclear weapons laboratories, principally the Los Alamos National Laboratory and the Argonne National Laboratory. Other countries, notably France and Japan, also have active research programs in place.
“’Asking the public for huge sums of money for new reactor research and development under the guise of radioactive waste management appears to be largely a scheme to perpetrate the nuclear power industry using public opposition to waste repositories as an excuse,’ said Dr. Arjun Makhijani, President of IEER. ‘Our research shows that the road will not only be costly and dangerous, but that it will also be a dead end. There is no magic bullet for solving the problem of long-lived nuclear waste.’
“According to The Nuclear Alchemy Gamble, even transmutation proponents agree that many long-lived components of radioactive waste, such as cesium-135 and carbon-14, cannot be transformed into less dangerous forms because of fundamental limitations that cannot be overcome by technology development. Uranium, which makes up 94% of the mass of the spent fuel, cannot be…

Uranium, which makes up 94% of the mass of the spent fuel, cannot be transmuted because it would result in the production of even more plutonium. In some cases, the report notes, transmutation would create new and even more toxic transuranic radioactive materials, making the residual wastes far more dangerous per pound.
“Transmutation of long-lived radionuclides into short-lived ones can only be done in a nuclear reactor. To be a useful management tool, the report points out, transmutation would require fast breeder reactors, a technology that has not been successfully commercialized after decades of effort, and billions of dollars of expenditures.
“’France and Japan have long had breeder reactor programs that have proven to be costly, technically unreliable, and environmentally problematic. They also raise serous proliferation concerns,’ according to Annie Makhijani, IEER Project Scientist and the report’s co-author. ‘Transmutation would only perpetuate these problems and add new ones. For instance, breeder reactor operation was never really mastered even with simpler plutonium fuels, yet would be far more complex with transmutation fuels, creating new safety risks.’
“Many of these concerns already exist because of nuclear programs in countries outside the United States that attempt to use plutonium as fuel. Currently, a number of countries use mixed oxide (MOX) reactor fuel, a blend of plutonium oxide and uranium oxide. Several countries, including the United States,…

Several countries, including the United States, have also attempted to develop breeder reactors, which were supposed to produce more plutonium than they consumed.
“Advanced transmutation schemes would require a complex, entirely new reactor type, called a sub-critical reactor, which would create significant new safety risks. These proposals would, in whole or in part, replace the ordinary critical reactors with a reactor that cannot sustain a chain reaction. In order to operate, such a “sub-critical” reactor requires an external source of neutrons, which would be produced by accelerated protons hitting a target of heavy metal. Work on Accelerator Transmutation of Waste (ATW) is being conducted at research facilities in several countries, including at Los Alamos. Proponents of such technologies claim it is safer than current reactors. The IEER report states that ATW systems could create new and little understood risks.
“’Sub-critical systems can actually be more dangerous than conventional reactors if, as is often the case, there are more subsystems that can fail or initiate failures, and fewer backups,’ noted Dr. Lawrence Lidsky, Professor of Nuclear Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and a reviewer of the report. ‘Probabilistic risk analysis is a complex art, requiring a deep understanding of possible accident initiators and accident progression, and the ATW design is far too rudimentary at this time to apply this powerful tool. However, it is…

However, it is clear that the currently envisaged ATW systems are more complex than fission reactors, have more accident initiators, and many fewer backup safety systems.’
“The report recommends a halt to transmutation research and the use of plutonium as a nuclear reactor fuel and urges creation of a sound, scientific program of studying waste disposal alternatives.”

The alchemists who fathered chemistry might be those who never realized that it was philosophical allegory, and what was to be transmuted was their spirits. I can appreciate that they exist, but maybe those who understood the allegory may have gotten us to this point with chemical products anyway, but with golden ethics.

……Shaker1….alchemy is closely tied in with astrological elements…and btw the early Chinese also were into alchemy.

But modern science became divorced from the search for the internal realization of philosophical truth(s) that pioneers such as Johann Kepler and Isaac Newton were into.

And along with that separation went ethics.

  • It's irresponsible to allow humans or animals to live in such an area. Even after you move you need to get that crap out of their bodies fast, before it damages their DNA. The should be using zeolite as it's what they used to decontaminate specific areas. It should be used or sprayed over the entire area, and taken internally by everyone affected by radiation. Along with regular detoxes with bentonite clay, eating cilantro or corriander seed. Find out more about zeolite as a supplement for radiation poisoning here: https://www.academia.edu/7378875/Natural_Zeolite_Powder
