This radiation is going to alter our oceans drastically. Considering that a release of this size has never happened in the ocean there are so many unknown effects that will arise. Certain bacteria will adapt and absorb the radioactive isotopes while other macro size species accumulate lethal dosages feeding bacteria and plankton. What that will do to us I do not known. I would point to the effects of Bikini bay, however that was a nuclear atomic explosion, not a release of contaminated water containing reactor core pieces. I guess it will take a little bit longer before we can see mass die offs of species considering human beings have a much lower lethal dose level than smaller organisms.

So the Harp seals with all the lesions, health issues and more — the dead seals COULD have been affected by Fukushima radiation. Just more proof. So where is the real data on radiation exposure those animals recieved? The testing for radiation, should have been done in "weeks"..well its been months. So far, no one is saying anything. And they should have the results. NO word..is guilt!

It was so evident with the seals! And with the whales! They have the tests, and I am sure some of the biologists recognized the symptoms immediatly. A simple blood test would have told the whole story.

They are not testing, or at least not releasing the results !
As this was/is the case !
Radiation in Northwest US Rainwater from Fukushima
other contaminates ??? Not noted by gov…. again, then and now !!!

You are right.

It has been over a year. They hand out grants to study things like the mating habits of the Arctic tree frog, but none to study what will soon affect every living thing on this planet.

heartbreaking.

Of course the Bloody Seals died of Radiation Poisoning!
It has never been admitted publically, but scintillation tests of their tissues revealed a full spectrum of nasties.
As for Tuna and Salmon in the supermarket. Place your Geiger counter on it and log it. You will be surprised what you find, and you won't be eating it.

Saw a early morning 4:39 AM reality commercial on Villa's for sale in Hawaii, trying to get sale before the irradiated waters of the sea overtake the island !
