October 2, 2012 report on Gendai.net translated by Fukushima Diary:

The person who applied for workmen’s compensation insurance may be my acquaintance. 2 months ago, one of my coworkers had a surgery for cancer in a hospital of Kanagawa prefecture, and he was saying it might be from internal exposure. CPM is the indicator to tell your internal exposure dose.

Before 311, the max was 800 cpm, but just after 311, it jumped up to 90,000 cpm, which is 112 times much as before. This is almost the number of when you put spent fuel rods into the case.

After having us do such tasks, we are starting to have cancers. The causal relationship is not clear, but not few workers think “Tomorrow it might be me.”
