October 2, 2012 report on Gendai.net translated by Fukushima Diary:
The person who applied for workmen’s compensation insurance may be my acquaintance. 2 months ago, one of my coworkers had a surgery for cancer in a hospital of Kanagawa prefecture, and he was saying it might be from internal exposure. CPM is the indicator to tell your internal exposure dose.
Before 311, the max was 800 cpm, but just after 311, it jumped up to 90,000 cpm, which is 112 times much as before. This is almost the number of when you put spent fuel rods into the case.
After having us do such tasks, we are starting to have cancers. The causal relationship is not clear, but not few workers think “Tomorrow it might be me.”

Radiation kills. And is often a long and slow agony to death.

For some reason this reminds me of a scene from, "Pu-239, The Half Life of Timofey Berezin", where they lie to Timofey about the dosage he received and tell him he'll be ok. He was exposed to 1000rems, they told him it was 100. (fiction)

A little different this time (as opposed to 1986 Soviet Union). Workers will reveal their illnesses on the Internet. It is going to be negative publicity unlike anything the nuvleocrats have seen before.
Documentation will be key to proving the deadly effects of a runaway nuclear megaplex. Worried people in Japan will fear their family members are next to fall ill. Smiley faces won't deter invisible radiation in their food, water, and air.
Madness in Japan…

For a first-hand account of what's going on Japan right now, listen to Yoichi Shimatsu's interviews.
He has an insider view of the politics, the $$, what the Japanese are going through, etc.
For example, the Japanese are experiencing "itching" because of the radiation.
A lot More info that you don't hear anywhere else.
Look for the link to his interviews about 1/4 of the page down at http://www.rense.com
