Title: Thyroid Abnomalities in 0.7% of Fukushima Children, According to Prefectural Government
Source: EX-SKF
Date: January 25, 2012
From Jiji Tsushin (1/25/2012):
0.7% of children [26 of 3,765] under the age of 18 have developed lumps (on the thyroid) more than 5 millimeters in diamater: “Hard to believe” there is any effect of radiation, says Fukushima prefectural government [...]
Fukushima Medical University, who conducted the test, says, “They are benign lumps. It is highly likely that these lump had existed before, and it is hard to believe there is any effect of radiation”.
However, just in case, the university will conduct additional ultrasound testing and blood testing. [...]
EX-SKF Analysis
(Let’s repeat the refrain: “It has nothing to do with radiation”.) [...]
Fukushima Medical University, as you recall, has Dr. Shunichi Yamashita as the vice president. He and his associates are responsible for telling the residents in Iitate-mura and other high radiation cities and towns in Fukushima that it was safe to be outside, to eat vegetables, to drink water, when the radioactive fallout was falling heavily in Fukushima in March and April.
Of course these lumps are benign. They have to be.

[...] However, they assert they are all benignity, there is no symptom to become malignity because of Fukushima accident, based on the view of Exploratory Committee.
The chairman of Exploratory Committee is Yamashita Shunichi. [...]

The Peter Principle states that “in a hierarchy every employee tends to rise to his level of incompetence” (FUKUSHIMA), meaning that employees tend to be promoted until they reach a position at which they cannot work competently. (FUKUSHIMA PLUS ALL PLANTS)
If the shoe fits….
SHUT THEM ALL DOWN!

The government will deny that there is any provable link between low dose radiation and cancerous lumps that are rare in other cases. Destroying community is how the nuclear industry works. They operate a lot like crack dealers. The Japanese people took the nuclear crack and began to lay the smack down on the world’s economy. After getting so hooked in the “junk” the politicians started to buy stock in nuclear “proliferation” companies outside of Japan in countries such as the UNITED STATES, FRANCE, GERMANY and lobbied scientists and politicians to take “responsibility” for their own people if something went wrong. Now the children are showing signs of illness yet the commercial rolls on about cold shit down and minimal 1 becquerel radiation releases. If they want to count corpses the government will have their hands full soon enough. Keep lifting the evacuation zones to continue this sick experiment TEPCO you disgusting warpigs.

Another 5.3 Eq. according to Iris.

1100+ children with thyroid tumors smaller than 5.1mm in the Fukushima study which high lighted 26 with tumors LARGER than 5MM..so thats out of approx 3700 children tested. HUGE problem.
Report Comment
I think this tumor rate is much higher than those around Chernobyl. If memory serves me correctly, the Russians only found thyroid tumors in a maximum of 20% of children studied, after several years. In Fukushima, it has only been 10 months and now it is way over that already.. If this keeps going what will it be in another couple years?
In Russia the negative health effects GREW for twenty to thirty years after Chernobyl and in some ways are still getting worse, because once there is a genetic problem, it carries on from one generation to the next, over and over again. So if each generation has a 20% genetic defects developing and those get carried on, then we end up with 100% genetic problems getting carried on forever, after about five generations.

In April & May I had a host of radiation symptoms, metal taste in mouth & drooling, bloody diarrhea, hematuria (blood coming out of both ends), nausea, rashes, cold sores, burning dripping nose, coughing, fatigue, cognitive difficulties… but the thyroid issues in Nov and Dec were much more uncomfortable and scarier too.

Bobby,
This is my observation also. Nov, Dec, Jan I was/ am more sick and my lungs hurt a few times. Even my Lowes air purifier is on red most of the time -dirty air. I think there is plutonium in the air, much more than in April, May 2011 and the overall Radiation is higher.

Alexa: My filter on red also, even after I put in a new hepa and a new secondary filter.
It didn’t used to do that…

My IQAir machine told me suddenly that the gas filter was 2 weeks late for replacement in Nov, when I thought it still had a few months left. I still don’t know if I neglected it, or if it got overwhelmed with iodine, krypton and xenon.

What area do you live in?
I just bought a Geiger Counter and plugged it in for the last two days. It was normal until just now, when it jumped to 125 CPM, and started beeping.. Is that a glitch? After a few minutes, it seems to be settling down again. Weird.
Normal seems to be 9-15 cpm.. just clicks a bit here and there…

My area is above Sacramento CA. Is anyone else getting readings like this? I am going to have to browse around the live on line radiation readings.

100 on your personal geiger counter probably means some artificial source of radiation.
Before radnet started censoring more extensively (my opinion), Sacramento had some very high readings.
The radiation from Fukushima is reportedly worse now than in December, according to Tepco even.
Why are EPA radnet levels not worse when the jet stream is over an area?
I would be worried if I had a personal geiger counter and it read 125 cpm
I don’t have one at all…

I experienced similar today but outside in a vehicle in SE PA. Sustained 80-95cpm for 15 minutes. Yesterday, inside just a couple of minutes or so spikes to 155. The former is the one to wonder about more I believe, if the readings are sustained. In my case, I got out of the area so I don’t know anymore than that other than last night the same route yielded a 38cpm average. The spikes, while I’ve experienced several in the 60-70s inside today when 42cpm is typical background, I’m not so much worried about the 155. Some wonder if that’s the hot particle. I want to say wave but I’m not certain of that. I do believe about 1/2 of the 42cpm is from gas. A trip inside Walmart today 10 count average was an amazing 18cpm!! I never thought I’d want to stay in any store..evar..let alone there but major cookies to them for good indoor environment! I wonder if whatever they do is consistent throughout their stores.. Anyway, I’m guessing your 125 is similar to my 155 but I would keep watch for trends like time of day, did someone walk by quickly, dog wag its tail, etc.

I am wondering if it could have anything to do with cosmic rays? The sun is putting out a huge storm right now and it is hitting Earth.
Could that trigger Geiger Counters?
Cosmic rays go through a LOT of stuff. They make gamma and alpha look like kids toys.

That crossed my mind too! Good point, strongest since 2005 too I hear.

AGreenRoad, my geiger counter did that a couple of times. My conclusion is that it was just malfunctioning, because it only did it a couple of times and then went back to measuring normally. It is a digital one, a Soeks.
Now it is not measuring correctly at all, unfortunately, and I don’t know how to get it fixed.
Report Comment
Is the Soeks company still around? Have you googled them?
Mine is a GQ GMC 300, from GQ Electronics. It has the option to hook it up online and can be plugged into the wall.

Probably, but I bought it on either EBay or Amazon (can’t remember) well over a month ago; it gets tricky trying to get any help then.

Try emailing or skyping them. Unless you bought it used, I bet they help you out…

Has anyone else noticed how many northern Californians there are here at enenews? Even more if we include southern Cali as well.
Don’t know if there is anything to that, but it is noteworthy to me.

Yep Jill- I’ve noticed!!
I think in general No. Cal folks tend to be more open-minded than most. I think that’s likely why there’s a notable number of us on here.
Blessings from Alameda, CA!!

Yes I have noticed many are concerned about our pieces of this radiating problem. I look out over the lake everyday, asking myself, is this for real. My pet scan came back POS FDG .17 uptake in thyroid last month. Yes Michael, it’s really happening. What good does it do to get mad? Time to get even!
Let us be kind, one to another, for we are each of us together in our pain!
