GUNDERSEN ON FUKUSHIMA FISH SALES AND REACTOR’S BUCKLING BUILDING
Five O’Clock Shadow with Robert Knight

Arnie Gundersen, Fairewinds Associates: Here in the United States we have this ‘don’t ask, don’t tell’. We don’t ask the Japanese what’s in it, and they don’t tell us. But the South Koreans are banning imports of Japanese seafood…
I’ve been told by people in the State Department last year that they were told by the U.S. government to downplay the health effects of radiation. And so I think we’ve really gone out of our way not to measure.

Well, that's one way to 'downplay' the health affects of radiation. Just don't measure it or test for it.
Would you go so far as to say it's criminal Arnie?
I would. The pregnant women and the innocent children in my neighborhood would.

HI Chemfood, I really love your website, but when you link to a specific article/info, I can never find what you are referring to. There is so much information that it is so hard to find it. You're doing a great job at having lots of good information on your site, and I check it out regularly so Thank you!

Chas, would you please state where you are (give or take 20 miles or so)? Am in CA Central Valley — Fairfield, CA. It helps over time to know where people are, geographically.
Am sure we got lots of rads here last year. A dairy farmer I recently spoke to has been testing for radiation in his milk. He said he had the hay he was feeding tested. The hay he got from Dixon, just east of here, was very high in Cesium. (Feed from last summer.)

Because IF the general public knew the extent of the dangers…
… Shareholders would be a little less richer about now.
Can't have that happen, now can we?

Or SHAREHOLDERS would have time to dump their stocks….kind of insider trading..HUH? And criminal as well (put an H where the w is in well for my REAL comment).

Bingo. You win the prize. Precisely correct. That's why we should all boycott ALL Japanese corporations until they renounce nuclear power forever.

Well done norbu.
One by one, we shall tell them – despite the Nuclear Energy Institute and its penchant for non-truth-telling.
Next they're going to tell us how good Plutonium is and how to make sure and get our daily allowance.
And, people will believe them.

Good going Norbu. I like to give people my spiel when I go shopping at Costco and fill up a couple of boxes with 12 lb. bags of baking soda (for cleaning and detoxifying). Someone asks why I'm buying so much almost every time I go there …. Have gone through 300-400 lbs. of the stuff over the last 18 months (with no end in sight). And lots of Boraxo. Love to give those spiels when anyone will listen.

Quote from the article: radioactivity continues to be released daily into the Pacific from the doomed Fukushima Daichi nuclear power stations.
Notice the words: "doomed" Fukushima Daichi nuclear power stations
The wealthy with their beach front property welcoming the radiation pouring in, won't like that. Wait until they find out they didn't know it was downplayed on purpose.

Do you think the folks with the uber homes in Dubai are catching some of this? The DU perhaps? D'ya think they know yet?
Report Comment
And for the smart asses who think they can just relocate from Japan to India to escape the radiation, think again. India is heavily contaminated with DU, too, thanks to the wars in Afghanistan and the Middle East. Thanks so very much, Nato. Karma, neh?
Report Comment
Had to get smart about the India thing. Love east Indian food, and tea from Ceylon. It was a real bummer finding out how much DU is wafted over to India from the war zones ….

We are not far from hearing something like that radiation is good for health, being after all a natural process from the beginning of the evolution of the species…That's the Way of the Death !
Report Comment
No funding for actual health effects of ionizing radiation, only funding to promote the view of no health effects, using fuzzy math.
The government lets Monsanto poison us with GMO foods and high fructose corn syrup, and they don't inform us of dangers from TEPCO/Japan nuclear accident, or our own nuclear "accidents" and fall out. Yes, you know where you stand as an American citizen. Just vehicles for commerce.

Yes, it's nice to see some efforts by a country banning some foods but there has no ban on seaweed in South Korea….it's probably even more dangerous….http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2sWF9hn4Sks

Is anybody here from Canada ? I am going to try my hardest to get the word out, I am in BC and would like to hook up with Vancouverites to get the word out like stop eating anything from the Pacific. It's not gonna be easy but we have to do it. Also getting our Provincial Gov't to do radiation testing from Vancouver Island, Vancouver and further North. Also the Debris is already coming and to make sure it is not touched by civilians, children, only gov't. It's not hard to do but i need help from other Canadians so we can contact the Energy Minister in BC and get it done. Who's with me ? contact me on my email pnagra65@gmail.com

NoMoreBlackout,
Get the message out there on how serious the Fukushima nuclear disaster is
quickly, and efficiently. You don’t need to explain anything just distribute the lifesaver.pdf or podcast below. (or create your own), hand it out, mailbox it, or email it.

This informative podcast on New Zealand radio station GreenPlanetFM carries more weight when trying to convince friends and relatives. It has with mine. So if you can use it as a resource please do.
In the Interview I point people to enenews,Fairewinds, Dr Busby and Dr Caldicott. The podcast link is at the top of the page, and the interview starts after a bit of an introduction on synchronicity.

Have you seen connectingdots1, do a search. The reporter is from Vancouver Island and did a good job of measuring radiation in rain as far as Atlantic to Pasific. He has done this with all his savings and some donations. He has used most of his own money and needs a few dollars to pay for meters, expenses etc.
maybe donate $10.00 or more to help him out.

You may want to do some research on the co-founders of your Greens Party. One of them is decidedly anti-nuclear. If you can locate him, you can probably get him in your corner. You can write to me at HoTaters@hush.com to discuss. (Note: that's hush.com not hushmail.com, thanks.)

'Suggest you try Weston Price Foundation in your area. There are Weston Price user groups at Yahoo Groups online. They are very pro-active on food issues, and well connected with farmers and food producers. Also share interest with Farm to Consumer Foundation, etc. They advocate consumption of seafood for the health benefits. There is starting to be awareness among people in groups like this — on the dangers of eating irradiated foods.
At issue — safety of dairy products, meat, and fish. All are a big part of a Weston Price type of diet (emphasizing traditional foods).

There is at least one person from somewhere near Toronto. You might post your question in the forum area. I'm thinking the person is someone with background in nuclear energy — nuclear physics or nuclear engineering? Or knows a lot about it. Wish I could remember who it was ….

Insist that food you buy is labelled with place of origin. Took forever to find out the rice sold in Sam's Clubs here in St louis is actually distributed by an Arkansas company which uses only USA grown rice…but where in the US and when??
Whenever possible buy local from farmers you know. I live in a rural area and you'd think that would be easy, but no, it's easier in Wsh DC or Detroit MI to find a farmers' market with locally grown/
Become a locavore. Google it.
Report Comment
And if you happen to live in a place where significant fallout landed locally, what good does being a "locavore" do?
I don't doubt there are benefits to local eating insofar as it's fresher and better for the environment, but unless you live in a place that you know dodged the worst of the fallout "bullet," local isn't going to make a difference for radiation contamination.
Report Comment
With all the nuclear accidents that has occurred in USA since 50,s, they relly don't want us common people to know the amount of radioactive contamination and hot spot located throughout the country and never informed public of the risks and areas to avoid.

Not to mention all the DU that's being burned all over the country at some 35 different sites ….
