Send Arnie the air filter from your car before you leave.

That is good advice to others who live closer to "the WhIIP"… it is the only way we will know what is really taken place. Let's see how many hot particles of plutonium are being ingested due to this latest "shit storm."

I've been watching the wind pattern there was even a day I didn't send my kid to school and kept her inside cause the wind shifted out of the northwest but if this thing is still pumping crap into the air then it's only a matter of time. And he can have the air filter and can take over payments lol cause I'm not going to need this car anymore. Her mother and I are contemplating leaving and heading to South America. I remember a few months ago when I started researching all this she thought I was nuts, now she's on board. Everyone thinks I'm crazy when I mention this and I just shake my head knowing full well its only a matter of time before I have an apology come my way….. I hope that day doesn't come as well.

A super big thanks to Arnie for sharing this information with us.

Because there is no way to deal with nuclear waste, all nuclear energy plants and nuclear weapons production facilities need to be shut down, decommissioned permanently. No more taxpayer money to the failed nuclear technology.

All nuclear licenses need to be rescinded immediately and all loan guarantees need to be cancelled forever.

We cannot afford nuclear energy and weapons from a financial point of view. We cannot afford the biological effects of nuclear energy and weapons.

Rocky Flats still has as much plutonium as before the clean up. There is now a study showing increased cancer rates near Canyon Diablo nuclear power plant. There have been many similar studies showing increased cancer rates and cancer clusters due to nuclear power plants and nuclear weapons and depleted uranium weapons.

There are so many ticking time bombs from nuclear technology. Please put an end to the genocide of all human and animal species and all plant life on earth.

    • Capt. Nemo Capt. Nemo

You might as well be back in the 1950's telling the Soviet Union to discard their nuclear bomb projects! No one will listen to you. Interestingly in the proceedings for the Nuremberg Trial article 19 says remarkably: "The Tribunal shall not be bound by technical rules of evidence. It shall adopt and apply to the greatest possible extent expeditious and nontechnical procedure, and shall admit any evidence which it deems to have probative value…." Sounds like this is popular idea still in vogue. Article 21 is perhaps even more remarkable: "The Tribunal shall not require proof of facts of common knowledge but shall take judicial notice thereof. It shall also take judicial notice of official governmental documents and reports of the United Nations, including the acts and documents of the committees set up in the various allied countries for the investigation of war crimes, and of records and findings of military or other Tribunals of any of the United Nations."

These ideas are a big asset for protecting what counts–not our lives but their profits and other interests. Until and unless these sorts of attitudes are tossed out, we will get no where. Why was the USS Reagan cleaned and the material taken to Hanford? Surely no radioactive material! Our lives are statistics. Nothing more.

      • Dr. Anne Lee Tomlinson Maziar VanneV

Sorry, but there ere no new nuclear power plants in the US for 30 years. And a judge in the US has already ruled that there can be no new licenses for nuclear power plants as long as there is no solution to the problem of nuclear waste.

It is obvious that especially in Carlsbad and Hanford that there is no solution to nuclear waste.

Therefore, any new licenses for any nuclear power plant is illegal in the US.

We do have hope. And our hope lies in the law and in educating the people. Education had results 30 years ago and it will have results now. There is no other solution to get rid of nuclear energy and weapons without education and no hope.

I, for one, refuse to be without hope.

I applaud your sentiment, but WIPP IS AN UNLICENSED FACILITY. It is free of regulation by the NRC, the EPA, and even the State of New Mexico has no veto power. ou can find that shocking tale at a documentary at ResistanceUnited, called "Radioactive Plutonium Plume Coming Out Of New Mexico's WIPP." The documentary was produced prior to this calamity, narrated by Robert Redford.

It's hard to apply the law when no law applies. It might take massive ongoing public pressure to even GET protective laws, much less to enforce them. But legal rulings (like the one you cited) to license NO NEW NPP's so long as there is no solution to nuclear waste, is at least minimal.

I am all for you, or anyone, being full of hope. But what would you suggest be DONE? The WIPP disaster alone may be irreversible.

Us, we live in New Mexico and we are outraged. But our only recourse at this time seems to be to try and MOVE.

A warning heeded can be thought as a gift. Or not heeded is a curse. Either the glass is half empty or half full.

            Disasters force choices.

I'm in Colorado and have been trapped here since the late 1960s. Is the grass greener elsewhere?

People have been relocated due to, among other events, the housing bubble burst, hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, famine, war, monsoonal rains, volcanoes, tsunamis, etc. In this sense the wealthy have greater choices and greater mobility; but, that may also bring about less wisdom.

Life on this earth has always been a very risky proposition. And vast numbers of people have chosen immigration in search of a better life. Life is precious, and, my opinion, sacred.

So many people on this earth have had and continue to have no freedom to react to peril.

May people find peace no matter what their decisions are.

The myth has been that nuclear armaments bring security. That myth is being and has been exploded in many, many ways.

Only when money is involved. Now the Ukraine is none of the USA's business but it is an opportunity to augment the military budget. On the other hand Hanford is simply a drain on what matters–so cut the clean up budget. WIPP is likewise a drain–so disguise it and deny any real problem.
No consideration of national defense unless . . . unless big money is involved. DHS is big money. So is TSA. Maybe they have nothing to do with defense but . . . Likewise, with the NSA–but big money is also here.
Just remember to protect yourself unless it involves big money to protect you and your family. Watch what you eat and be careful about big money prescriptions.
There is no big money in protecting you against corporate corruption. Or banking fraud. On the contrary. Big money flows the other way.

    Good analysis Arnie.

But the salt mine boosters seem to think everything is A-OK:

"Before I even arrived at WIPP, I thought that no one outside the DOE really knew anything about the repository. That’s where the idea for the book came from. When the facts are presented well, there is no doubt that the world needs nuclear power. Nuclear gets a bad rap primarily because of its association with weapons. When I talk with people, even educated ones, I realize that most of them have no idea that nuclear fuel cannot go off like a nuclear bomb. With serious information gaps like that, we realized that we needed to write a book to address energy-related issues. —Jim Conca CEMRC Director interviewed in the inaugural annual report for the Institute for Energy and the Environment for 2007-2008. [page 17]

SP: Hey Jim…wasn't that a fairly serious high velocity explosion at Unit 3 Fukushima? Maybe even nuclear? Or can a hydrogen explosion bend metal like that? The world wonders…

And what about that stirring action going on by Bechtel at the tanks in Hanford? Are they making a plutonium fizzie or maybe trying to stop a nuclear explosion? Kinda like a "bomb"?

Oh well, your sideline radiation remediation business might do well with Dr. Wright selling apatite for $22,000 a tank car load:

I am actually very impressed with the scope and focus of your work, but not some of your conclusions as voiced on Forbes.

To keep it on WIPP let me say this, there is no power that I know of that will cause the gov to reveal the truth at this time. Obama has just released funds for new nuclear power plants and negative news about waste storage is simply not in the agenda. I could be wrong but I think they will stonewall this indefinitely. If lots of people down the road in Carlsbad get cancer, so be it. Three Mile Island went down smoothly enough; so will Carlsbad and WIPP. Sorry but you know how it is with the most transparent gov ever.

Yeah, but all these places that generate nuclear waste won't have a place to send it. It is one issue that won't get swept under the rug, to the dismay of both side of the aisle.

      • We Not They Finally

On the other hand, they haven't had a place to send it to for decades now! WIPP was apparently like an accidental convergence of DOE zealotry and local nuclear zealots in New Mexico. And apparently, the waste being sent there has created new problems, not solved the existing ones.

So you may be WAY over-estimating when you say that this won't be swept under the rug. You wish. I wish too. But there is just no apparatus in place to deal with any of this. They'll do what? Hold a hearing?

Lab Releases Radiation Test Results for WIPP Air Filters

….Testing of a filter positioned before the HEPA system and removed several hours after the alarm showed 1,365 becquerels per cubic meter of americium and 672 Bq/m3 of plutonium. By Feb. 21, those levels fell substantially to 0.65 Bq/m3 of americium and 0.06 Bq/m3 of plutonium per day…..(For context, the Environmental Protection Agency’s actionable level of airborne contamination is 37 Bq/m3.)

    link takes you to the chart that showed the rate of drop off to within "acceptable " levels … and this also;

…….Based on information provided by the U.S. Department of Energy to date, there is no indication that waste from AY-102 has reached the environment. The state fully expects the federal government to provide all details about this leak as their investigation continues,” wrote Bellon in a statement to KING 5.

But Hanford sources who have firsthand knowledge of Tank AY-102 say the USDOE has yet to finish the testing needed to prove the nuclear waste has not breached the outer containment of the tank. The leak detection system connected to the AY-102 has indicated the waste has entered the environment…..

The other seals..well..they did not have the equipment to TEST for most radiations..they are still testing as far as I can tell. NO results–sound familiar. The strategy seems to be for all of these emergencies..down play any issues, say you are testing, give 'doctored' results just to keep pubic assured, say you are continuing to test..then go on to new topics (global warming caused by wood burning stoves in Alaska..). Yes LG, now you are finally getting it and have labelled it so well above. The imperial conditioning and control paradigm is fast being shattered by people who seek the truth, and want to know because they care.

Ignorance was always the old fashioned word for most dysfunctional behavior patterns. Fear of course, being the other controlling problem manifester of dysfunctional behavior and actions from most human beings.

In these new times where radiation also has profound effects on the brain, as in zombisim, it is a brave new world as far as irrational behavior is going to be seen. Lets not start the psychopath class, unless you want to. How radiation makes people angry is a life time study. We already have too many live examples to watch, and study on the world picture show fronts now.

Also, getting antzy to go for some recon drives. A fast sweet T-top makes for nice touring excursions. We will be sure to stop by Los Alamos and into Sante Fe on our way to the El Santuario de Chimayo that our Spanish relatives helped build down there seven generations ago. Perhaps if we can do some area checks and get relatively normal high readings, that will put you and yours to rest. If there was a way to do it, we could go to your street front to check also to let you know what the immediate environmental reading according to the tool we have to measure with is.

      Just a thot, er tew.

WNTF, Re: Fracking and Nuclear proximity.
You may not be aware of Sellafield, a nuclear reprocessing site in Cumbria, England. There is an ongoing process to decommission Windscale which had been incorporated into Sellafield.
However, on 23rd June, 2011, the UK Government confirmed the suitability for future nuclear power plants on the site. Sellafield is already said to be the world's biggest open air nuclear store.

New areas are currently being investigated as fracking sites in Cumbria, England. The designated areas on the map in this link seem to be extremely close to Sellafield.

Egremont which is shown inside the lower border of areas under consideration, on the bottom left of the map shown in the link below, is only 7 kilometers from Sellafield.

Sellafield appears to be included in the areas under consideration. However, Sellafield is not shown on this map. While the locals would be conversant with the actual nuclear site, would others further afield have this awareness?

Surely they would not consider fracking under, or within ANY range of this large Nuclear Plant?

          • We Not They Finally

That's distressing. Sellafield is already notorious for major nuclear contamination.

Hi WNTF, I've just put a post re some sonic booms and a fireball that were reported on as coming from North Central Mexico in the early hours of 6th March. (go to archives and clock back to the 6th)

I have made other comments to GQR2 re this on the off topic forum.

    WIPP's ELE extra hot Soup recipe;

    1. Start with thousands or more (more is better) 50 gallon yellow, black and white barrels of used Cobalt 60 medical and other Livermore/Berkley/Hanford stupid Nuclear scientist experimental waste.

    2. Add thousand's or more barrels of Plutonium/ Cesium tainted gloves, shoes, hard hats, and respirator filters.

    3. Stack thousand of rusty barrels of highly contaminated Cesium/Plutonium Hazmatt suits three high on top of each other, the more contaminated the better for a higher Becquerel release factor.

    4. Wait 5 years for the Wigner effect to take happen on the .035 thin steel barrels to soften barrel containment skin for your handy Inspector Geiger counter to tick off 10,000,000 CMP.

    5. After many years of Nuclear scientist grant bullshiting, a Cerenkov blueing will appear, forklift poke holes to check barrel's steel integrity to see if charged particles are passing through the now thin weakened dielectric containment vessel at a speed greater than the phase velocity of light for that steel/paint medium, this will add more Becquerel tang to the ELE soup.

    6. Let all ingredients be in close proximity to each other for Neptunium, Plutonium, Americium, Curium, Berkelium, and Californium to brew into qualified Transuranium elements for those that like there soup quick death hot.

    • Gasser Gasser

      7. Next, add millions of gallons of imported Washington Liquid High Becquerel Count Hanford Witches Brew, more gallons will give you the ELE metallic taste your looking for according to my secret AIEA Hell's Kitchen Nuclear More Becquerels For The Bang cook book.

      8. Carefully forklift mix/stack all ingredients into a salt oven containment room with a chain~link fence~plastic covered interior that will eventually become a galvanized/plastic Herbal seasoning ingredient for the ELE soup death quickness factor.

      9. Take a "Paymefuckers" why not Beer/Cigar/Pot/Cokewhore/Champagne or Crystal Meth drug break for a few years and let it all set at salt room temp till water eventually merges into the oven room to oxidize steel into rust that will automatically release a Neutron ricocheting Radioactively to start the hot Becquereling oven.

      10. As this slow water infiltration begins, start Oil Fracking somewhere near the WIPP salt dome mine Nuclear waste oven to create earthquakes to cause 15,000 tons or more of salt weight to collapse inward into Hells Kitchen WIPP oven, this trembler vector is used to crush the Wigner effected Neutron stewed .035 thin steel containers insuring a complete explosion releasing Actinides of Transuranium elements in the salt dome oven…do not open oven door when this high cooking temperature is in progress.

      • Gasser Gasser

        11. In a media bullshitter time frame, a second horrific 10 mile high salt explosion will happen, the atomized Radioactive Transuranic Actinide soup will become ready and freely released available to the forced homeless soup line residence of that area.

Note> No need to add salt, soup will be serve strained through a used up WIPP salt mine filter so soup line survivors through out the whole World can get the full McDOE ELE metallic taste and black char plutonium smoke fragrance the top Nuclear BRW cooking scientist have feared that this Hells Kitchen recipe will put them out of business for good.

Hurry, get your Hellska~Seltzer now @ Fallout*Mart while supply last.

          OMG, Gasser!

Can't sit straight on the chair…resisting the vibrations of falling off laughter.

Love the part about 10,000,000 CMP on an Inspector. Gee, do they go that high reading the CPM? And if so, what, you got about ten seconds of life until you drop it seeing the last flashes of light in the blinking red indicator light, and it sings you softly to sleep with beeps.

Some folks have a way with crafty humorous words and you sir, are one of them!

Thanks for the kicks…on Route 66.

          • Al joking aside.. the Inspector changes to CPS when CPM gets too large.

On flight to OGG I hit 15 CPS that was kind of sick

            That was grand Gasser !

            • We Not They Finally

On the other hand, we happen to LIVE in New Mexico and don't find it a bit funny at all. If someone wants to make this kind of a "joke," can they at least have the restraint to keep it under a 1,000 words? (Please!)

Gasser, NOT funny. Not funny at all.

              • Gasser Gasser

My dear if it was a ten word joke you would still complain, for some reason you don't like me because you can't handle the real truth of the facts of the matter, I highly suggest you move quickly before it "to late blows" and moves you faster than you can shut the car door. and that my dear really won't be funny at all for millions. Aloha!

                • We Not They Finally

Wow. You're telling me what I can or can't handle? And you're the-crap calling me "my dear"? Don't now tell me not to tell you where to shove it. So full of yourself and so much gall. Really.

                • We Not They Finally

Why don't you just tell everyhne in New Mexico to F-U? Or instead of calling ME "my dear," admit that YOU don't crapping care? It's just a ego trip for you. Congratulations! You're a big ugly ego. Top of the heap.

That's how I feel when someone implies that people in California who live close to the ocean deserve what they get in radioactive fallout, for having the money to live there. All of my family lives there, except myself.

                  nobody deserves this nightmere.

There are 2 kinds of humor – one is laughing 'at' someone, and the other is laughing 'with' someone. I'm 100 % certain Gasser's ( and most humor on enenews) is the latter. I don't really consider the former to be humor. 🙁

        • bo bo

That was dead-on hilarious gasser. And also effectively informative. Thank you.

WhoA! I just got WNTF high Becquerel count flamed…but I can understand when a potential catastrophic event is close to home, the survival instinct sets in.

Also I'd like to mention the WIPP's ELE extra hot Soup recipe was meant to be a parable not a joke, some laugh, some cry, some just don't get it.

I have three big events to deal with being in Hawaii there's the Fukushima 1. air and 2. water radioactive plumes plus and 3. a 31 year none stop erupting volcanic vent that is now sending it's live lava flow directly toward my house 10 miles away moving at 100+ feet per day burning its way through the forest on its relentless path of least resistance, I maybe homeless in a year, only time will tell.

Instead of sitting home chewing finger nails over the worlds and my plight, I ride a dirt bike scary nuts fast most every day (all this week down with pneumonia) to keep focused in the here and do or die now, sometimes its on these lava flows, some are still fresh live hot.

In todays precarious world there is no real safe place to live anymore, enjoy what you got now, push it to the limits…Reality goes at the speed and quality of your choices.

Grew up racing Motocross meself at early Saddleback and in RPV, CA. Later graduated to the world of Harley Davidson, and a wild bunch of gangsters in Red and White. We just loved owning California on two-wheels. This was all long before consciousness ever reached the Heart.

  • dosdos dosdos

There are a number of articles showing up about what hasn't been done in the last three years since Fukushima. This article deals with the ignored issue of hydrogen build up in BWRs.

  • Stock here– for those without a Geiger, I will say, I was always ill at ease with things RE radiation, until I got a geiger. I wasn't sure it I should go out in the rain, walk my dogs, do a run.

Got the geiger, made it all so more clear. Mostly on the good side, sometimes more scary.

Get a geiger. quality matters, the cheap ones show a lot less CPM, the size of the GM does matter.

Get a geiger and stop guessing. $550 buys an excellent one. Compare that to other expenses like 100 Starbucks coffees….get your priorities straight, stock out.

  • Glad to see that Admin is working this WIPP issue, and now Arnie chiming in.

I think I was the first translating their Bq, and somehow I got on their internal emailing list….good thing…but typical academics to send out to as many as possible, even the "neutral" observers as the Nuke Pro.

WIPP could be the tipping point…of all nuclear. They can't dispose of their poop, and it kills. They lie, let's not lie in their lies.

  • Arnie was as balls to the wall as he could be. He called out the liars. he did good.

And watch for new trolls, I saw one tonight.

    • atomicistheword

I agree with the point on Mr Gunderson, he is in danger and must stay in the public view. The shadow trolls cannot hurt him then. Their plan is to cause others to shun those telling the truth, like as done to Dana on YouTube, getting frauds to shun him, agents of unrighteousness. Good point my friend.

    • James Tekton James Tekton

      "He called out the liars."

      Yes, Stock.

Seems like a lot of these awakened old schoolers are opening up and speaking their truth figuring, what else do they have to lose. Striking hard at the roots of these huge problems, is more productive than slashing at the branches.

Here is Paul Craig Roberts speaking up in his latest article that is slightly unrelated, but this part of it hits the nail of the biggest problem on the head. As Anne has said above, proper education is vital now. Here is Paul:

“Obviously, the US/EU media is corrupt. Only a fool would rely on their reports. Any media that would believe anything Washington says after George W. Bush and Dick Cheney sent Secretary of State Colin Powell to the UN to peddle the regime’s lies about “Iraqi weapons of mass destruction,” which the weapons inspectors had told the White House did not exist, is clearly a collection of bought-and-paid for whores.”

      Paul Craig Roberts – March 6, 2014

      • We Not They Finally

It's true about the media, but until the owners are booted out of monopolistic control, it will go on.

  • earthsmith earthsmith

WIPPGATE….do not enter….unless of course you are nukepuke that likes to slither under rocks.
Sure seems like Arnie is turning the screws a bit more. Or at least trying.

  • GQR2

It seems to me , Arnie must think the hour is now, late enough to be the guy he has been trying to be lately…He is telling it like it is,for those that will listen. Its a little overdue but his videos are more frank and to the point everyday. He does have that calm quality and the establishment credibly. His videos lately make me want to give him a hug. Its too late for all of us – and his manner does allow more people to tune into the horrific truth without being discredited in any way ..yet.

  • Heart of the Rose Heart of the Rose

Arnie is saying this based on whistleblowers and family members claims..
    We thank these brave people.

PS. Arnie may be the most connected .. etc ..still he is bringing in news that was already worked through by Enenews and cohorts.
This would be a corroborating story.

NASA Radar Demonstrates Ability to Foresee Sinkholes

"New analyses of NASA airborne radar data collected in 2012 reveal the radar detected indications of a huge sinkhole before it collapsed and forced evacuations near Bayou Corne, La., that year."

Let's use this technology over WIPP.

That sinking feeling will lead to a pit in your stomach followed by rectal bleeding and nausea.

  • PhilipUpNorth PhilipUpNorth

SimplyInfo: WIPP re-entry scheduled for next week.

Cesium indicates severe damage underground. Calls WIPP event an "explosion".

WIPP will not try to clean up the contamination.
Instead, a concrete plug will be poured to seal off caved-in panel 7.
If (and this is a big "if"), they can get close enough to do any work at all.

    • GQR2

i found a boat load of documents in NM legislative site. reports to etc.
In big bold print, they declared that cersium from Fukushhhh! was picked up as of Oct 11th.2011
Nice heads up media, yeah thanks for that!

      • Shaker1

Again, I might refer one to this site:

Take a look at the picture of the proposed 'can-in-cannister' construction there. It's expensive, so I can just imagine what is really in there beyond discarded suits and tools.

As for the WIPP site itself, the documentation clearly shows that the site is compromised, and is in the state of flux, as all natural formations are. To project 'this will last X years' is just ludicrous and denial that the earth is dynamic system, that processes of such a system are anything like 'control' for any but the shortest period in time. Plug it? Sure. That was part of the original plan in the event of problems.

I'm just sick over this, as I've lived in NM, traveled the state, miss the little hidden canyons, exploring arroyos, standing on what is hardly a mountain to see for miles and miles. Hell, city boy that I am, I was only able to survive there for the federal money that flows into the state, and it's not too much of a stretch to understand that much of what is there is the shiny face of the coin that's been laying in the dirt, not the corroded side that has been lain unexposed. It's not a matter of being morose or pessimistic, but being realistic, and, unfortunately, realism for us seems barely applicable beyond single lifetimes, otherwise none of this would have happened, and those who brought this would hardly be heroes.

        • GQR2

good lord they pass this stuff around by the ton.
Its completely insane. That document is so matter of fact and its really a horrifying read,shaker1

I am 300 miles east of Carlsbad, 6600 miles east of Fukushima. Far better than working inside the hellhole at Fukushima. I can take dark humor quite well. Some are offended here and I understand your distress. But posters here are unique like all humans. It's easy to offend when the stakes for human survival are being raised exponentially every disaster.

    Black humor joke:

Fukushima worker to boss: "My right lung is a solid tumor mass and my left foot rotted off from the strontium-90 water!"

Yakuza foreman: "Stop whining you little complainer! Breathe through your other lung. Here's a bandaid for your stump. Start smiling because your sad attitude is making you sick!"

      The poetry is great too.
without it, wouldn't it all be a bit unbearable?

  • Nick

"The process is deceptively simple: Plutonium waste from Los Alamos National Laboratory and a variety of defense projects is packed into holes bored into the walls of rooms carved from salt. At a rate of six inches a year, the salt closes in on the waste and encapsulates it for what engineers say will be millions of years.

“It’s eternity,” said Dirk Roberson, a guide for the frequent tours the Energy Department gives to visitors to the salt mine, who leave with a souvenir plastic bag filled with chunks of salt pressed into rocklike form."

    Wow, my how time flies.

Sign at WIPP: Gone Fission, back in 240,000 years.

  • Nick

"But at the state level, there is active opposition. Don Hancock, the nuclear safety director at the Southwest Research and Information Center, said he has been opposing WIPP since the 1970s, long before construction began. He said that the area was rich in oil and gas and that if someone drilled a well centuries from now, ignorant of what lay below, or if the repository expanded into drilled areas, the waste might escape. The 16-square-mile site is in a region thick with pump jacks, which have multiplied with the fracking boom."

Sure didn't take long for ignorance did it?

  • Nick

    The waste HAS ESCAPED.

    Encapsulated for" eternity", my ass.

    • Sickputer

Great posts Nick. From Wald's article you linked:

"The salt at WIPP is not much different from what goes into food. Phillip R. Sharp, who served on the same study commission as Ms. Macfarlane, said that when the group visited Carlsbad, about 25 miles west of the site, commission members were served cocktails — margaritas garnished with salt from the repository."

SP: Quite a difference a month makes. I doubt they will be serving cocktails again unless Erin Brockovich is their host.

So now preliminary plans are thinking of robots, plastering concrete on the surfaces…hmm… Where have we heard those ideas before?

Oh yeah…Fukushambles. They even paved the ocean floor of the lagoon. How's that working out?

  • I loved that one nuker who was claiming the absurdity "that salt is so dense that water cannot move even 1" in the salt in a billion years"

@sshats like that should be jailed, at best.

    • AirSepTech AirSepTech

Right on. I am losing the .01% respect I had left for these huge ego, small minded, incestuous lot of fleecemiesters.

I guess the ignorant sob thinks water forms underground, with some sort of magical 'phenomena' driving it. What a putz.

How long to fix the 'cave of concern'?
How many more billions will the blunder cost?
How long to resume shoving the s#ittium back into said sanctuary?

Let them lie about that too, we already know that they will lie like dogs about any health/humanity concerns. No offense to dogs.

Make them lie about everything, reveal their incompetence.

  • Crash2Parties Crash2Parties

Here's the part I just don't get. Let's say there's a cave-in that ruptures some containers. There will be a rush of air out of the cave. But once that initial burst of energy is exhausted, everything should go static again…right?

For contamination to continue to be coming out of that site there has to be energy. Either something is burning or air is going in (natural or pumped) and not filtered on the way out or the entire place is filling with water, displacing the air.

    • Hm… I can hardly imagine the whole complex is hermetically* sealed against the outer world, as they pretend.
Unless it is, I imagine there is enough overall airflow leading to a constant transport to the outside. Of course they cannot admit it, because that would just be another fatal design flaw of their huffy-puffy pig houselet going public.

That is of course in no way a contradiction of your theory which is totally sound.

*note the striking and ironic similarity with "hormetically"; both words are almost identical, yet they express the exact opposite if you will 😉 !

      • Crash2Parties Crash2Parties

But why have HEPA-Style (note they didn't actually say, "99.97% of particles 0.3 µm or larger") filters if the entire cavern breathes on its own due to wind/air pressure or heating/cooling cycles?

Also, assuming the place is relatively air-tight…have they never heard of airlocks? Houses in cold areas have had them for centuries to stop inside & outside air from mixing.

If those caves are naturally breathing, the place was every bit as fatally planned as putting a nuke plant on the shore below sea level in the path of an underground river. On the Ring of Fire.

        • I guess we can only speculate on that. With respect to the filters, I suspect the disappointing yet revealing answer might be: only in order to be able to pull the bunny from the hat in case someone asks questions. And even without having to lie about it ("it" = the filter, and only the filter) which is – I have to admit – outstanding, considering what they usually do.

Of course they need have to remain silent about the tiny little leaks here and there in that salty Swiss-cheese-like pufflet.

Always stick with the golden rule: presentation is everything !
