Thanks for sharing the video and your personal situation.
We are all short timers here no matter what horrors unfolds in Fukushima – it is just that some are closer to the “Final Exit” than others. See you on the other side some “day”. In the meantime the death march will unfold in the years ahead – wonder what the world will look like in about forty years.
How so cruel of the state to its citizens…same here(India). Without heeding its masters the state is going ahead with a nuclear park of 9900MW touching the Arabian Sea and the Russians have completed the 1000 MW Kudankulam nuke on the tip of Kanyakumari(cost of damage to be borne by the state)…They are not making public any monitoring of radiation…secrecy thy name is Chernofukushi-ma, what Neptuniuma(half life 100000000 years.
After they took monitors offline that showed spiked data and couched or buried the non-public data showing uranium and plutonium that was detected AND after reading about the Bush appointed contractor who runs the monitoring program AND they refuse to test further or inclusively for all known or suspected radionuclide though they’ve shown up here and the situation is ongoing, chronic in nature…
Has anybody else (e.g. anybody here) been able to replicate Oni’s results and gotten the EPA site to actually cough up recent plutonium or uranium data?
True dat, no says anything of the meat. If the cow is passing these topes, then they assume to retain it also.
If it is cesium, then you have to wait ahundred years or so?
Yes, cesium accumulates in the muscle tissue. Another reason to be advised and advocate more inclusive testing. Beef in Japan exceeded the 500 bq/kg limit for cesium which drove US beef and lean protein futures up in financial news. In the past, cesium is higher in open grazing animals (lamb, goat, deer were even higher than cattle). See below.
In my opinion and current food behavior, larger agricultural farm sources of protein like sheltered chicken, beef and pork (not free range as I usually would consume otherwise) are safer for radionuclides, but not antibiotics, additives and hormones. Many frozen options (check processing date) are available along with non-Gulf seafood, canned, smoked, cured, brined or aged meats or cheese and vegetarian proteins during this window.
One commenter posted the key to ice cream processing/package date stamps on the Julian calendar too. So I find pre-event ice cream too. Currently, we’re using our stored poundage of powdered whole milk, our stored frozen, butter powder and Earth Balance (non-hydrgenated oil) margarine. Our cheeses are aged domestic and S. Hemisphere imports (New Zealand cheddar). We substitute sour cream with IMO, cream cheese with Tofutti and buttermilk with reconstituted whole milk powder and lemon juice or vinegar (1Tbsp acidic solution per cup milk). Works great.
Of course, I’d prefer definitive tests. I have to rely on Chernobyl pathway exposure studies and some assumptions due to a lack of testing.
lose the meat addiction and the dairy mothra. you’re just asking for trouble, don’t buy into the free-range myth. your body and your conscience will thank you for it. i tell you no lies. simple as pie.
I wouldn’t say it’s an addiction. I use pre-event or safer sources for lean protein sparingly. These are personal choices. Many people who are not vegan may be looking for safer options now.
Thank you Gerry Hiles! Cancer here too friend. That song was delightfully equalizing,…like the Hopi Indian Leaders’ referenced post yesterday. We are all in this GREAT RIVER together,…right now in time,…first is last, last is first,…and everywhere in between. We are all connected–and it’s good! Let us be of good cheer, eh? You seem to be–REMARKABLE!
Hats off friend!
Gerri/Jill and all the rest of you that may be suffering from cancer,
May I offer a suggestion of taking papaya leaf. If you do a google of papaya leaf/cancer, you’ll find that it represses the growth of cancer cells. I was aware of this and gave some to a lady friend who had breast cancer. She made a tea and drank it each day. In six weeks her tumor had reduced by half. I am not a doctor, so I do not know if this was the direct cause for the reduction.
We have had cancer scares in both our dogs in the last year, ages 17 and 13. They both drink papaya leaf tea instead of water and are fine right now. In addition, we give them a soup over their dry food which is composed of ground up broccoli, carrots, asparagus, tofu, sardines, some oils and plenty of vitamins. I’ve seen people beat cancer with a radical change in their diets so I know it can be done. I take a papaya leaf in my green tea to be proactive in fighting cancer and also throw in a guava leaf to reduce blood sugar. I wish you all the best. Aloha, Al
Al, Aloha!
When I was there on Big Island back in March, my cousin told me
he met a little old lady who defeated cancer by use of the Papaya
“male” flower, which is sometimes hard to find. I don’t have any more
about this, but Cuzz has been there for almost thirty years, hip to the
Hawaii pop culture.
thanks for the great tips, going to get my papaya and guava leaves now. There is a doctor who cures pancreatic cancer with papaya enzymes and I agree that diet is critical to dealing with cancer. Lots of great info on that here is one link http://www.healingcancernaturally.com/cancer-diet-and-nutrition.html
For whatever reasons and by whatever designs, planned or random, we find ourselves at the brink of total destruction. Yet the the Hopi prophesies allegedly describe the 5th world as a paradise, and the Mayan prophecies allegedly place us in this world sooner rather than later, ie within a year. Maybe the fact that everything has to change and the fact that we can shift reality given the principles of quantum physics means that the roller coaster ride isnt over. I have decided to try to stick around…lots of work but maybe it will payoff.
With the voting booths rigged does anyone see any way to get at the government at this point or is that a fools errand, e.g. the wisconsin recalls… are they useless waste of time? If they worked we might stand a chance of at least trying to turn the US around.
Please can you Esotericfags leave this blog and post their dangerous miracle stories somewhere else. Cancer cannot be treated by charlatans. Get out of here. Thanks.
I periodically mix small amounts of cinnamon, cloves and turmeric in a glass of water and chug it. It’s not pleasant but I want to keep my antioxidant level up.
When I was dying of cancer 22 years ago I crunched down dried chaparral every morning for breakfast (about 2 tbsp.) and rinsed it down with 2 tbsp. of spirulina (Hawaiian) in a glass of water. I didn’t get the chaparral wet because it is very bitter.
Yeah like its doubled in a month according to the data, and now we have three Galloping Gertie reactors in the meltdown race… wonder what another 30 days of accumulation means numerically?
the camera gets blocked by low clouds all the time,I know this is true because I started checking the weather conditions there after I noticed the picture going dark and wanted to know if they had shut it down last month.
Being on the coast and on the side of a mountain makes it susceptible to being obscured by low clouds blowing in from the sea.
Did they consider the dangers of internal emitters? Internally dose has no meaning. Ask Yablokov. How sad IAEA and WHO are in league-See the pathetic statement of UN in this website and compare side by side the grim experiences-really unspeakable of the world after Chernobyl. Thus this EPA limit has to listen and follow the ECRR recommendations after the central dogma of molecular biology has been turned on its head. Corrupt modern civilisation will destroy all life.
Even if they’re ignoring CEDE (internal) mortalities and a wide range of debilitating diseases it presents, and downplaying known DDE (external) epidemic cancers from these multiple pathway sources – they’re still wrong. It’s not just fatal cancer at stake:
“1. Non-cancer effects
The Committee considered another paper on non-cancer effects from external radiation including effects on the developing human brain, cataracts of the eye lens, and late deterministic effects in children, ie effects other than mortality. The doses for these effects were high (>1 Gy) although a recent Swedish paper reported adverse effects on intellectual development at doses down to 100 mSv. The Committee estimated that, in terms of absolute risk, the lifetime risk due to radiation may be around 10% at 1 Sv (cumulative lifetime) for non-cancer mortality for those exposed as children, i.e. roughly half the corresponding value for solid cancer mortality. For people exposed at age 50, the lifetime risks for non-cancer and for solid cancer mortality may be similar (i.e. around 3% to 4% at 1 Sv). UNSCEAR (2000) had not reported clear evidence of these effects from internal radiation, however a number of reports did exist according to a Committee member and these were circulated. http://www.cerrie.org/
They know. They’ve known for over a decade about chronic, low dose internal risks. They refuse to change the 2,000 fold error rate ICRP risk model for low dose internal exposures. It’s not a “low dose phenomenon” – it’s a flaw in the model that leads to suffering. Repetition of an error rate doesn’t change fact, it only produces more “errors.”
They can silence or omit all the contrary studies to their dubious mission, but fact is fact.
And “low dose phenomena” is real, well known and signifigant:
“Regardless of the explanation, the phenomena of supra-linearity at low dose irradiation are well demonstrated and present counter-evidence to the DDRF assumption.”
It’s not just fatal cancer:
“The Adult Health Study (AHS) has greatly increased in importance in recent years as a result of the accumulation of an enormous body of data from serial medical examinations, with and without superimposed radiation aspects. Particularly noteworthy is the accumulating evidence of the radiation dose related increase in non-cancer disease morbidity, such as cardiovascular disease, hyperparathyroidism, thyroid diseases, uterine myoma, chronic liver disease, and cataract … Another unexpected finding is the retrospective evidence that radiation is associated with premature menopause, and this in turn, may result in earlier onset of other conditions, such as an increase in cholesterol levels and cardiovascular disease. In addition, most recent findings suggest that diabetes mellitus increases with radiation dose among young survivors of Hiroshima.”
Therefore:
“Consequently both ICRP’s choice of a biological endpoint as fatal cancer, and its current exclusiveness, are now in question, as well as the effective dose estimates for internal radiation emitters. In such a situation the Precautionary Principle should prevail. The choice of fatal cancer as the exclusive biological endpoint after ionizing radiation exposure is not scientifically acceptable. Equally unacceptable are estimates of equivalent effectiveness made without adequate backing by scientific research.”
These are general excerpts on internal and external ionizing radiation used in this article to address only tritium risks, but the points and studies are broader than tritium to include rdionuclide risks applicable to our Fukushima exposure situation: http://iicph.org/health-effects-of-tritium-appendix-2
My understanding of cs137 is that any amount is “too much”. so how can these values be “low” when any amount of this harmful substance is present in detectable quantities?
I don’t believe it. I know it. If these levels would be dangeous, life in Europe would have been erased by Chernobyl.
I don’t get money for informing you. My motivation is based on the wish to have a nuke-free world one day.
Unfortunately some fearmongers have infiltrated this good site and spread infomation that is untrue, mis- or overintepreted to feed their apocalyptic fantasies.
This is bad for the people who can’t judge based on knowledge and understanding for themselves. And it is very bad for us fighting against nuclear power because it puts our movement into the corner of wierd people not knowing what they are talking about.
Please excuse any errors, English is not my first language.
Life in Europe is deathly bad and increasing. Read Yablokov describing brain damages please and call for the end of nuclear power programmes. And India have had 660000 infant mortalities including still births due to Chernobyl(See http://deathdealersnukes.blogspot.com). And because of the gulf stream Fukushima will kill millions more the world over.

Marsh – your criminal elite banksters, politicians and media recently, and dramatically raised your allowable ingestion of radioactivity just like they did in the aftermath of Chernobyl. So have the same criminal elite in Japan raised their safe levels.
The Federal Safety Guidelines (http://www.atsdr.cdc.gov/tfacts158.pdf) for liquids in USA is 3 Picocuries/Liter or 0.111 Bq/L. The most dangerous aspect would be Cs-137 as its half-life of 30 years suggests one drink is 70 years worth of long term radiation before it decays to the 0.111 Bq/L Federal Safety level.
Further this safety level assumes that only 10% of your food is contaminated with radiation. If ALL food is contaminated then these safe levels need to be divided by 10.
That was a tweet that I must have seen 100,000,000 times on twitter. I felt like it was a disinformation campaign. Tweets ranging in the millions like: ann coulters says radiation is good for you… Things like that…
I started to feel like it was a conspiracy… I was on the iaea everyday claiming the reactors all went full melt down…
And here we are today, Sitting watching the charade unfold. What a world were living in eh… Ever skip a court date… You get issued a warrant…
What will we do to tepco. So far the co walked. and the rest of the line is dieing, from the lies that were conspired in the name of economy… Fucking sad planet… We need a restart. this system is farked beyond the radiaiton.
The comment system is funny… Was it the cursing? or the conspiracy?
Because according to this site, the conspiracy is actually a real thing. (being the iaea withheld information)> so>>>?
Tepco today gave a big press conference announcing a loss of some $15 billion for this year. This does not yet include compensation for the people who were evacuated because of the Daiichi plant failures nor does it include cleanup costs.
In another announcement Tepco also said that reactor 1 to 4 will be decommissioned, which is obvious, and that the no 7 and 8 planned for that site will not be build. It did not mention no 5 and 6. Technically those could be reactivated and I believe that is Tepco’s plan. But to assume that it will ever get a license to do so from the relevant local governments is crazy. It just shows how absolutely tone deaf to public opinion these big monopolists are.
As for the status of the plants the announcement include this bit which is the very first admittance of serious trouble in the no 4 spent fuel pool:
In particular, the melting of the fuel pellets inside Units 1 to 4 caused them significant damage.
The no 4 reactor was shut down and contained no fuel when the quake hit. Fuel pellet damage there then must be in the no 4 spent fuel pool.
On the status of the reactors:
No 1 is slowly cooling down. The core has left the reactor vessel and the primary containment is partly breached. It is likely that renewed self sustained fission, recriticality, occurred in no 1 probably some 12 days after the accident but has since stopped. How far the molten nuclear fuel and the molten debris from the reactor vessel it is mixed with, the Corium, has damaged the concrete floor of the containment vessel is unclear. One report I read back from 1981 assumed a melt-through of the core through seven meters of concrete within just about 12 hours. A newer simulation report says that the maximum concrete ablation would be 1.6 meters and lead to a significant cool down of the Corium. The calculations…
I refuse to accept any statement of progress reported by tepco. They are frauds… I will withhold my level of gratitude until the problem is solved, as I wouldn’t want to excite them
If I may ask how old are you? The reason for he question is simple. If you are in your 40′s none of this will matter. In another 20 years of business as usual this world will be so upside down that cancer may seem like an easy way out.
I also have watched this from day one. Nothing good will come of it to be certain. However, I do not think that this is an ELE event as you see it.
The golden age of nature is coming to an end on this planet. I for one and glad to have been able to enjoy it more than most. Changes are coming that will make Fukushima seem like little more than an annoyance.
Relax, enjoy the time you have and do some great and fun things. Go see a rain forest, scuba dive the last gorgeous reefs in the world, jump out of plane, fly a glider, hike a trail in the mountains.
“Life is measured in the minutes between work and worry” – Tim Nelson
And since I just made up that neat little quote I signed it.
I’m like you in my outlook. I have had an excellent ride and now in my old age IDGAF about radiation levels – I’ll die from something else most likely before 20 years of FUKU can clobber my DNA.
The tragedy of course is the stupidity of the latest version to ascend on The Planet Of The Apes. It reminds me of that scene when Charles Heston saw the statue of liberty partially sticking up out of the sand on the seashore. He fell to his knees and cried out…
We finally really did it. You maniacs! You blew it up!
I believe many of us are concerned with quality of life and incurred expense until our inevitable parting – not just for ourselves, but for our wee ones as well.
Best news so far!
U.N. Team Delves Deeper Into Japan’s Fukushima Nuclear Plant
Published on May 25, 2011
by Christine Gaylican
***The United Nations mission now investigating the troubled nuclear facility in Fukushima, Japan is now more intent to conduct its own assessment as reports confirmed that the situation has not been fully cited by the operator.
The international mission comprised of nuclear physicists and engineers led by the UN are now in Tokyo also to assess if efforts to stabilise the nuclear plant is right on track and if the self-imposed deadline by the Tokyo Electric Power Corp (Tepco) is achievable.
Tepco on Tuesday admitted that fuel rods in three nuclear reactors have melted and are now endangering the safety of citizens.
The new revelations indicate that earlier official assessments may have been too optimistic, said Goshi Hosono, director of Japan’s nuclear crisis task force, AP said in a related report.
“We should have made a more cautious damage estimate based on a worse scenario,” he said.
Retirees as Nuclear Warriors
Meantime, a group ofJapanese retirees, who were nuclear and civil engineers are hoping to be given a chance to report back for duty to stabilise the radiation-leaking Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant.
More than 160 engineers, including many former atomic plant workers, aged 60 or older say they want to set up a “Skilled Veterans Corps” to help restore the cooling systems crippled by the March 11 earthquake and tsunami.
“We shouldn’t leave the work only to young engineers,” said Mr Yasuteru Yamada, who made the proposal after hearing that young subcontractors, some of them unskilled workers, were engaged in the high-risk salvage effort.
‘Young people, especially those who will have children in future, should not be exposed to radiation,’ said Mr Yamada, a 72-year-old retired engineer who used to work on plant construction at Sumitomo Metal Industries and quoted in an AFP report…
Fukushima Containment Vessels May Be Leaking, Tepco Says
May 25, 2011, 2:47 AM EDT
*** “Unfortunately I can’t find any consistency in the report,” Hironobu Unesaki, a nuclear engineering professor at Kyoto University, said by phone. “Tepco hasn’t released sufficient radionuclide analysis of leaked contaminated water. Now they’ve confirmed fuel rods melted, they should also release more data including plutonium and uranium readings.”***
I just peed in my bathwater you want to jump in? Don’t worry its just a small amount of pee in a very large bath it won’t kill you its within the world health standards for pee in bathwater….
If you don’t jump in I will call you a crazy conspiracy fear monger…..
As far as age goes don’t any of you people have kids or grand kids? I’m fifty so who cares if I die of cancer in twenty years? Oh wait my son is 1 yr old and my daughter is 2 yrs old.

But if we are stuck in the dark, out of sun, we will need lots of D3
put away. It turns out to be one of the greatest nutrients to defeat
a lot of different maladies. This one researcher I saw on TV said he takes about ten times the quoted RDA dailiy.
My family usually drinks and eats organic meats and milk. Now what? The meat and milk are more tainted with cesium and iodine 181 than the non-organic. I bought regular milk in hopes that the cows were fed feed untainted by radiation. What is worse? I have been alternating. The freaking government is not doing their jobs. When you think about it even the bottle water has radiation in it unless it has been process with reverse osmosis etc… Maybe the stress of worrying about it is more dangerous to my health than the radiation. I am looking out the best I can for my family but finding untainted foods is very hard. I have some powdered milk but that will only last so long… the newer boxes you buy will have radiation. ???
I switched to dry and canned evaporated milk in March, and I use almond, rice and coconut milk too depending on use. Check the expiration date on the dry – it generally has a 1.5 or longer shelf life. I still find pre-event powdered and canned evaporated milk everywhere, but it has gone up in price lately for us here.
Thanks. I also have evaporated milk. Yes, it is pricey. Do you know if apple pectin would help the body purge Cesiun 137 out? I bought a bottle of it, but haven’t used it yet.
Chelation Protocols & Food Processing
Some progress since last post on this topic
As you know from my prior posts, I have been exploring food processing chemistry modalities, to attempt to purify the food product prior to consumption. I am interested in the use of Ferric(III)hexacyanoferrate(II) or Prussian blue insoluble to be used in the processing of raw milk or other liquids contaminated with Cesium-137.
The thought of course would be to chelate the C-137, out of the milk prior to consumption using Prussian Blue in filtrate form, or other ion exchange/absorbing media such as Zeolite.
A gravity or pressurized funnel filter with the media cartridge would make the tool very useful in the kitchen and would intercept Cesium and Thallium in liquids such as milk, prior to oral ingestion. It may also be useful in animal husbandry, decontamination of expressed mothers milk for example, to safeguard a newborn.
Is time travel possible? Is Time Linear? What is Time! One thing I do know is that this is our “TIME”
Question 1. How did one of the most successful bands in the world “The Killers” write and release a song about the Tiger Woods saga well over a year before the story broke???
Question 2. How did the biggest band in the world, “U2″ write a song over 20 years ago about Tokyo Electric Co?

“The political gesture could merely be interpreted as a kind of test” for Chinese and South Korean leaders to check the degree of their sympathy and support to Japan, Shirai said. “Even if politicians munch on Fukushima farm produce, such action would not provide scientific safety assurance to convince people.
“Instead of trying to appeal to the emotions of (Chinese and South Korean) people with the visual image, Japan should take a logical and reasonable approach and present scientific data on radiation doses in accordance with international standards,” he said.
Shirai said the government has lost trust globally due to its poor handling of information on the Fukushima crisis, saying it is “totally absurd” that it took two months for Tokyo Electric Power Co. to say that a fuel meltdown may have occurred in reactors at the crisis-hit plant.
To regain public confidence, the country should launch an aggressive public relations campaign to reach out to people around the world and ease their concerns by hosting seminars and disseminating information through social networking services, Shirai said.****
And America is just going to sit back and let it happen. Bask in the radiation folks!

If it is cesium, then you have to wait ahundred years or so?
Now that would be some mighty “aged” beef.
Report Comment
Yes, cesium accumulates in the muscle tissue. Another reason to be advised and advocate more inclusive testing. Beef in Japan exceeded the 500 bq/kg limit for cesium which drove US beef and lean protein futures up in financial news. In the past, cesium is higher in open grazing animals (lamb, goat, deer were even higher than cattle). See below.
*Some studies of Ukraine post-Chernobyl claimed cesium was reduced by a change in cheese processing but the process changed the cheese character greatly. The study also claimed cesium could be leeched out to a safer degree by brining marinades of lean protein, but these reductions were under laboratory conditions – definately not the average public kitchen.

Aloha, Al

Yet the the Hopi prophesies allegedly describe the 5th world as a paradise, and the Mayan prophecies allegedly place us in this world sooner rather than later, ie within a year. Report Comment
Report Comment
These are general excerpts on internal and external ionizing radiation used in this article to address only tritium risks, but the points and studies are broader than tritium to include rdionuclide risks applicable to our Fukushima exposure situation:

The Federal Safety Guidelines (http://www.atsdr.cdc.gov/tfacts158.pdf) for liquids in USA is 3 Picocuries/Liter or 0.111 Bq/L. The most dangerous aspect would be Cs-137 as its half-life of 30 years suggests one drink is 70 years worth of long term radiation before it decays to the 0.111 Bq/L Federal Safety level.
Further this safety level assumes that only 10% of your food is contaminated with radiation. If ALL food is contaminated then these safe levels need to be divided by 10.

Fukushima Update – May 20
Tepco today gave a big press conference announcing a loss of some $15 billion for this year.

Effort to ease radiation fears in Asia may have limited effect
By MAYA KANEKO
Kyodo
