Nothing new here WindorSolarPlease. Just complimenting the deliberate silence success of US media on the lack of factual, ethics, humanitarian, ravenous ethics of our leaders. The (Blackout) of the reality of the gravity of the nuclear fallout here among neighbors is the authorities responsibly is horrific. I believe America, will fuck up! Through the ignorance of lack of mainstream media coverage, government relations with corporate propaganda, we have no chance. ELE.

Love that type of “Highly Unusual”.

Way to go, on stopping construction of new reactors.

    Let’s keep following that lead.

Give them the memo: NO MORE NUCLEAR POWER

Why is it that the USSR could take needed logical action, and there in communist China, officials can take needed logical action, but in the US, needed logical action has gone begging much of the time? Who owns this stupid industry in the US? What levels of intelligence and wisdom do the owners have? It does not seem like they have any sense, or financial sense, or good moral or common sense.

      Hi americancommntr

Quote: Who owns this stupid industry in the US?

It’s about Corporations and they are considered people now, so they can make ridiculous donations and perks, owning everything and everyone.

Then we have this new bill that the military has the power to indefinitely imprison American citizens, but it does not have to use its power unless ordered to do so.

One order and your rights are gone, what’s wrong with this picture. Things are changing.

Are we an enemy combatant in the eyes of our representatives if say we are against Nuclear Power, not agreeing with the corporations who want to build these monsters?
Are we on their bad list?

The Chinese have a pragmatic streak that has served them well. I wish them the best of luck with this change of heartmind.

We really need more common sense in the world which seems to have all but disappeared with the game of one-upmanship.

This is a global crisis and I hope against hope that more leaders will come to their senses.

      Soon.

It is time to un-brainwash our capitalist selves.
Communist China, I believe Roach Limbaugh refers to them as the ChiComs, give a shit about what happens to her citizens as evidenced by this article.
Russian Tv (RTV) has informed us much better than any American media outlet about Fukushima. For that matter, so has Al Jazeera english version.
I know to most of you I’m preaching to the choir, but my advice is to start using your eyes for anything BUT corporate owned US TV, newspapers. We have been sold a bill of goods. Uncle Sam has not only been fucking “foreigners” for years, but its own people too….and it continues, in fact it is escalating. The corporations have no fear of us, so they are much more blatant about what they do to rape the world for profit. They know they control us. They have dealt indiscriminate death casually around the world to keep the oil flowing. FOX news talks about American exceptionalism constantly. It is a lie! We are NOT exceptional. Greed is NOT a virtue. We are just people…no more or less important than people of all countries around the globe.
We, the people, are not bad or evil, but unless you look at your mistakes, you will repeat them. The insanity of the words “bringing democracy” to Iraq is evident by the military’s use of Shock and Awe, white phosphorous and depleted uranium as our government launched operation Iraqi Freedom. Our military is in Afghanistan right now because they have trillions of $ worth of Lithium and rare earth mineral deposits. These elements are the oil of the next few generations, and we want to control it.
The only way the US is exceptional anymore is how exceptionally GREEDY and powerful our corporate/govment/military/industrial complex has become.
This shit must STOP, or we will all die and time is NOT on our side.

Hi PoorDaddy, I agree with all you say.
But what are you suggesting to DO to stop it? I sometimes have the impression a lot of people’s activism doesn’t go further than complaining or posting conspiracy videos from youtube all over the place. What I read very often is “someone has to stop it, something has to be done”.
If not even the ones who SEE what’s going on do anything, I have not much hope left.
      :-(

Don’t give up hope…so they win a battle…the Georgia plants may well never fire-up.

Time is on our side and against Japan, the IAEA, NRC and all the Frankenstein nuclear cabal madmen.

I say this because good news travels fast and bad news travels like wildfire. Far faster than wildfire in the Information Technology Era. The news from Japan is just beginning to seep into the minds of Americans who are so out of touch with world events and so in touch with their Facebook grandkid photos.

It takes a whisper in an ear…then one more, then a post on Facebook travels to thousands, a YouTube video travels to millions. The next media invention will reach billions.

Don’t give up hope because the Internet was designed to withstand a nuclear war which is exactly what we have right now…World War III started one year ago on the main island of Japan at Fukushima Daiichi. The word Fukushima will be whispered across the globe as a warning of the thermonuclear war that was begun by madmen and machines. Fukushima Daiichi is the Terminator of mankind.

America built the technology and let other madmen play with it and now Pandora’s box is open and spewing out death in the jetstream, and the oceans of the world are being flooded with a toxic flow from Daiichi that could kill the vast majority of sea life and with it the sustenance for half of the human race.

Rice is now deadly in Japan along with all other crops. Smokers get to sample some of the fresh irradiated 2012 crop of Fukushima tobacco they are selling and get their nicotine fix along with a deadly dose of radiactive isotopes.

Tell one stranger a day to look up Fukushima on the Internet. Just mention mysteriously that the Japanese people are dying of radiation (you will not be lying). Then leave that person with that thought. He or she will be curious and find out the truth. He will tell others and the snowball builds up momentum and begins to pull in the celebrities, the Warren Buffets…

      Good Morning Capt!
I have written (only emails) countless times to all my federal and state reps since last April. Other than form letters returned to me extolling their virtuous stand on all matters ecological, nothing has happened.
I have done the same with the San Fran Chronicle, San Jose Mercury, the Oregonian…newspapers. I have contacted oped media types from Rachel Maddow to Glenn Beck with links, articles and info re: Fukushima, ongoing radiation. I did get back alot of bullshit from Beck….none of it relevant, mostly a hook to get you to pay attention to his ranting nonsense.
I will look into your link, but I pretty much agree with Sickputer…..the only success we have is on an individual level, kind of “one-on-one”.
I finally posted a couple music vids on you tube, first “Occupy Song – Occupy Everything”, then “Fukushima Dreamin” with the thought that “art” may be the catalyst for information. I know I’m not a musician, believe me. In fact I have never played anywhere but in my house, but as of yesterday, I had over 500 hits on the Fuku song, mostly in US and Canada, but also in 7 other countries. This has been more productive than any of the letters I’ve written. Right now I’m working on putting or-well’s hymn to music and will post it when its done.
I’m not advocating NOT writing to the powerful. What I’m saying is everyone do whatever THEY can and whatever feels useful to get the word out that these fuckers are not only killing us all, but have succeeded in sweeping it under the rug. Well the rug has so much shit under it by now that said fuckers are starting to trip on the rug as they pass by on their way to wherever they are going in their haste to make $. If we all get under the rug and throw little chunks of truth out into the light of day for them to trip on, WE CAN WIN!

      Never give up!!

In the meantime, here is a BIG leap forward in information. This is a Symposium re: Fukushima being held Feb. 24-25. If you go to the link and wander around on the site I believe it will give us all hope. Enenewser Majia is one of the speakers there and it will be live streamed on the web. It might be productive to email this link to media outlets, newspapers, etc.
I contacted Rachel Maddow show with link to this event a while back….no return mail, but if all of us send her show a link, just maybe she will pay attention! Just google Rachel Maddow contact info and post this link.
Keep on tryin….squeaky wheel gets the grease!!!

  • Nuclear Damage Control

What if you were promoting an industry that had the potential to kill and injure enormous numbers of people as well as contaminate large areas of land for tens of thousands of years? What if this industry created vast stockpiles of deadly waste but nevertheless required massive amounts of public funding to keep it going? My guess is that you might want to hide that information.

From the heyday of the environmental movement in the late 1960s through the late 1970s, many people were openly skeptical about the destructive potential of the nuclear power industry. After the partial meltdown at Three Mile Island in central Pennsylvania in March 1979 and the explosion of Chernobyl’s unit four reactor in the Ukraine in April 1986, few would have predicted that nuclear power could ever shake off its global pariah status.
    Yet, thanks to …
