Increasing number of horrified parents in Tokyo-area, as young children enjoy “radioactive autumn” outdoors — Accused of being “monster parent” if concerned

SOURCE: How to Enjoy Radioactive Autumn in Japan in Kindergartens and Elementary Schools, EX-SKF, October 10, 2011

In Tokyo, Chiba, Kanagawa, they all do these fun-filled activities to enjoy and celebrate autumn, just like they did last year and year before, radioactive fallout or not. A minor nuclear accident must not disturb the preset schedule, ever.

At this point, though an increasing number of parents are simply horrified, the majority are quite happily following whatever the school teachers say and accuse the concerned parents as “monster parent” (a Japlish word that they use in katakana) – a troublemaker. The majority are more worried about their children’s prospect of getting into prestigious schools. […]

  • The same thing is true everywhere else in the world. If you are talking about nuclear radiation, you are basically shunned. It is not ‘ok’ to talk about dangers in the environment, because God in the TV tells everyone that it is all ‘clean coal’ and ‘safe nuclear power’.

So if you upset the apple cart of being ‘normal’ and ‘safe’, you are threatening the appearance of safety and normality.

Now YOU are the threat. Now YOU are the terrorist. Now YOU are to be feared, despised, loathed and attacked as somehow dangerous and evil… to be avoided at all costs, in case somehow this ‘evil’ will rub off on them somehow.

Never mind that everyone is dropping like flies from horrible diseases, that doctors charge an arm and a leg for, and usually have no clue how to help you with, but there is LOTS of money to be paid to the experts who weigh in on this test, and that test, and this very expensive treatment, with this very expensive thing or that…

Meanwhile, the ROOT CAUSE is ignored, feared, denied and spun in the news as being good for people… The more radiation, the better, is what TV says..

Since God is on TV, that is what most people believe now… You must be Satan, if you do not believe what is on TV..

What the? Thats news? Its been reported long ago…. and “at risk” gimme a break… “reactors have been shut down” Well I guess that is one way of putting it… Maddow is usually pretty good, but this piece of reporting probably does more harm than good. People wonder why we are not hearing anything and GE’s channel reports stuff like this? Its for all the reasons already mentioned here in addition to the fact that if you google today you will see that the nuclear renaissance is still in high gear as reported just today in the US, Britian, China, India and else where.

Billions of dollars are at steak and GE is right at the centre of it. This report is damage control and proves that mainstream news is nothing short of commercial infomercials for their owners.

  • Again, ignorance is bliss. Most people do not know that mass media is owned by only four or so huge companies.. GE owns most US news outlets, and oddly enough, also makes nuke plants and medical equipment.

Now put yourself in their shoes. Would you want ANYTHING negative said about nuclear power on these media stations that YOU own? NOPE.. NEVER… just will not happen if I am paying attention.. MY profit is more important that a few sick people or a couple of deaths here and there… Profits first you know… Capitalism is good, and all that…

Worship at the alter of money, and sacrifice your young at the alter of the high priest, who demands blood for money.

The more money, the more blood is demanded. So far, most people seem willing to pay their children without complaint, with no thought or care in the world.. and I am pointing not at just nuclear power, but all forms of carbon energy; oil, coal, gas, ethanol, diesel, etc..

They are all in this same boat together with nuclear.

Blood for money. Blood for money… Greed is good.

      I don’t think there’s a cover-up – it’s just a making of a story – and google-maps is a popular tool, but anything close to sientific valuable information.

      see quakes listings here:

      and get updated e.g. here:

      Good morning everyone.

As history has shown, stan deyo has done a lot of great work but like his twin steve quale, they both propagate fear better than anyone else. Is it for profit? For many years these two have put out more doom stories and end of the world stories than anyone out there in the information flow. Yes, this volcano could go off, and yes it could be devastating, but do we steadily watch that and give it our fear energy, or continue to be observant of the real dangers in the radiation that pounds us all daily? Choose well.

Not putting them down personally, it is just tiring to hear all the fears that come down the line. We choose to spend more energy practicing the art of making life happier for ourselves and then others around us when and where we can. This is The Way! If only others always practiced the simple philosophy of “do unto others, as you would have them do unto you.”

Yes, we are ALL in deep trouble as time continues to percolate this horrific disaster in japan that no one with the power to do so is helping or healing in this world wide catastrophe. All we can do is live the best we can and face the fact that the govts and god-money powers that control them are only going to sit by the wayside and watch the speeding up of the Population Control Agenda. The lemmings continue to roll around in the slimy ignorance of suffering for pleasure.

      • James Tekton James Tekton

There are a few documents that tell the story of the present and future to come that the elitist reptile-like scumbags have blatantly put out for all to see.

Agenda 21. How many of you know what that is? How many of you have read the un’s own documents describing this evil agenda of the dark side? There has been great efforts to wipe this information off the net, but if you look hard you can find plenty of info still. The radiation poisoning and world contamination is part of the population kill-off because it is easier to take a dead man‘s land than a live one.:

The Protocols of the Elders of Zion. If you have not read this document, you really need to so you can plainly SEE the agenda in this blueprint at work, and what is still to come. More murder for power and the kill-off agenda. Do not listen to the nay-sayers or detractors that will attack this document as being false. READ IT FOR YOURSELF from beginning to end and twice if you have to and then comment please.:

All we can do now is to follow our heart and make life simple and sweet. Love yourself and others around you and remember, we save our own eternal souls by the good words, deeds, and actions we DO in this world…one day at a time.

“General Electric nuclear plant inspector Kei Sugaoka was one of the inspectors at the Fukushima Daiichi plant in 2000. He noticed a crack in the steam dryer which he videotaped. He was later ordered by Tokyo Electric Power Company TEPCO to edit this part of the tape which is illegal in the United States. He went public and some TEPCO managers were fired. He thought that things would change but they have not. Additionally, as a result of being a whistleblower he was also laid off by General Electric and has been struggling to get the truth out about these dangerous plants. Sugaoka has inspected plants throughout the world including in Taiwan and Europe.
This interview was done on May 5, 2011.”

I am almost tired of posting/reading the same damn things all the time. I’m going to downtown new haven this weekend to the occupy new haven event. I will report back what I see and hear. The conservative media is painting a picture of anti american anti semites, but I dont believe them. The message needs to transcend Most people dont realize they are being poisoned in the name of corporate profits. Its not anti american to ask that corporations dont destroy our environment. call me a katakana .

I *HOPE* that the people that worked hard to clean these sites up after the tsunami will now work just as hard to clean out their government of laughing, snickering do-nothings.

  • Erin

So if parents complain about their children being irradiated, we’re “troublemakers.” Okay … I can live with that. Been called worse. But what’s the Japanese word for “monster corporations” that poison their own customers? Do they even have a word for that other than “TEPCO?”

    And again … please sign:

For our children, their children, (and on and on I hope) …

    Thank you!

Correction: Atoms flagged me. I wear that as a Badge Of Honor. 🙂

        • Erin

Thanks for the correction, Whoopie. I wasn’t sure what “Atoms flagging” was, but it sure sounds worse than normal flagging! LOL

Sorry for getting you in trouble, but remember … we’re those pesky “troublemakers,” now ain’t we?! What do they expect? 😉

And thanks a big bunch for the tweet ‘n’ post, too! 🙂

          • Whoopie Whoopie

Atoms concluded by saying these Petitions “dont matter anyway”. If they DONT MATTER, then why Flag me Atoms? He’s so “funny”.

        • Erin

Whoopie, and anyone who has ideas … could you folks suggest any new places to post the petition? I don’t want to be a spammer, but I want to spread it around, and I just don’t have time to join conversations at every board I find.

I’m thinking maybe craigslist, indymedia, and that site for USA tv — think it’s charactersunite, but I have to look it up. Where else should I try?

p.s. to Whoopie — UGH! Yes! If it doesn’t matter … but then, I believe it does, and that kind of opposition only strengthens that belief. Like you said, “If they DONT MATTER, then why Flag me Atoms?” Why, indeed?!

Putting my thinking cap is not working this morning. Care2 has MILLIONS OF MEMBERS. I can put it up there prob later today. Any new threads at HP that come up about Nuclear, I’ll post to those. HP has millions too. Craigslist is a wonderful idea too. Ummm, we’ll figure it out I’m sure. 🙂

          • Erin

            Got it posted at:

Care2 sounds very familiar, but I’ll have to look it up to remember that one. If you can find the time, I’d really appreciate it! Thanks very much, Whoopie, for everything! 🙂

If not, would you please shoot me an e-mail, and I’ll try to check it out tomorrow. I just opened a new acct. on yahoo just for this, and everyone can reach me at – justsayno2nuclear – “at” – yahoo – “dot” – com . All suggestions welcome!

Erin, I got your email. So I’ll write you. Going to your link, when I click to ‘read more’ of your comment, it doesn’t show all of your comment. How weird. Do you see the same? Your Petitions don’t show.

Had the same problem at first. I opened it in a new tab, then clicked on “read more,” then it went to the same page. Frustrated, I called my oldest over to help, so he clicked on “read more,” and the blasted thing called me a liar and worked perfectly! LOL

Sooo … not sure what to tell you except to try a few times, maybe? Or tell someone it doesn’t work, and have them click it for you? 😉

Thanks for the links! Gotta run for awhile, but I’ll check them out later — they sound great! And I’ll watch for your e-mail. Always fun to get something in a “virgin” acct. 😀

          • Howdy Erin. Feel free to post your petition here
There are a list of blog/news sites there that likely would not mind. Personally I comb through the msm happy nuke news web articles, register and comment with links such as yours. Same with the happy clueless ‘green’ news. Takes a bit of time, but worth it for sure

          • Erin

Thanks chemfood! Gotta find out where the petition went before I spread it around more, but I’ll try to check out that link later today or tomorrow and act on it.

Blessings and gratitude for your caring heart. Much support too.

Hon, if you read these documents I have posted links to above, and really understand the underlying agendas that are fully controlling all the sock-puppets like barry sotero/obama and all the rest of the supposed leaders, you will then KNOW that no amount of petitioning, or letters, or calls, or protests, or anything the majority of the people will ever do is going to make a difference or stop this hell bound train. Well, barring an all out revolution.

Think about it, when was the last time a govt capitulated to the real LEGITIMATE demands of the people? When was the last time this empire corporation called the USA govt has capitulated to the demands of any group of people? May have been close during the Vietnam war, but have we seen anything like that since? Still waiting for those days to come and according to the Protocols, they will be perpetuated and propagated so the evil empire can take control of what once was a country of free people using the force they have ready to roll out. We may be seeing the beginnings of that now in this OWS thing. Have you ever studied what they call non-lethal weapons?

Just a few of the hundreds they have:

      From this link:

      • James Tekton James Tekton

        From this link:

“Political, diplomatic and economic demands dictate that future operations, where possible, minimize U.S. casualties while limiting collateral civilian casualties and collateral damage to civilian objects. Crowd control in conducting peacekeeping and humanitarian assistance missions is as likely a task for the Army as is destroying enemy armor and infantry forces in war.”

        • Erin

You know, it’s not that I disbelieve what your saying (and I will check the links, just don’t have time right this moment). It’s more like … I don’t know what to do with that info. If every bit of dissent is no more valuable than screaming at the wind to stop blowing, then I don’t know what to do with that.

Germany gave me hope, quite frankly, and I have to believe if they can do it, then so can we. The alternative seems to be to give up, and that’s not acceptable to me. We made this mess with the help of our parents and their parents, and I really don’t want to see it left for future generations to clean up.

You may be right, and your approach may be right for you. It’s just for me it feels better to try to do something to help, even if it doesn’t work out as I plan or hope.

Thanks very much for the links and your reply!

    • Erin, I share your concerns!

I’m not sure if you know that the real culprits include the people in the japanese and other governments, not just at TEPCO or GE. TEPCO is presented as a “private” company but in reality it enjoys a government-maintained monopoly: the government has divided Japan into 10 sectors, each reserved to one state-supported “private company”.

Each of these is shielded from competition from real entrepreneurs, which explains why TEPCO and similar turn into such monsters: it is because there is no check on them! Monopoly profits go to shareholders (major ones being government insiders I’m sure, as with all such fronts), and any catastrophic losses simply get passed on to the taxpayers.

Do you see now why the government will not be doing anything about these “corporations”?

      • Erin

Yes, and thank you checkitout. I know TEPCO is not alone in this – just went for the sarcastic quip instead of full accuracy on that post. I should’ve added a 😛 to be more clear. 🙂

The sheer enormity of the nuclear industry and all who are complicit in their misdeeds is pretty overwhelming. I don’t even feel like David battling Goliath — I feel like a bunny rabbit with a pea shooter who wants to HELP David battle Goliath! 🙁

But again … what else to do? Give up? Not for me – nots as long as I gots me my pea shooter! 😛

    • dharmasyd dharmasyd

The White House accounts system won’t let me in. Even though I am an United States citizen, they block me from entry. Ergo, I can’t sign any petitions there. I guess I sent too many disagreeable letters to B.O.

Forget about ATOM, being blocked by one’s own government is just too much.

      • Erin

dharmasyd, it may not be just you. I’m not sure what the problem is, but it looks like the petition has disappeared from the White House page it was on. I’ll try calling the WH switchboard later this morning to see if they will help.

Thanks a bunch for trying! I’ll post an update when I know more.

        • BreadAndButter BreadAndButter

Hi all, funny enough, I managed to register and to sign though I’m in Germany!
Let’s not give up on this one…. cheers

          • Erin

Please help me out here, folks. Anyone who has tried unsuccessfully to sign the petition at: , please try again, and let me know what happens – specifically.

Are you able to sign other petitions? Have you tried refreshing the page? Have you tried signing out, then signing back in to see if that resolves the problem? What do you see on the page when you click, “Sign this petition?” Any and all info will be helpful!

The petition seems to be sporadically working, as we have had 42 sigs, but I’m trying to figure out what to tell the WH tech support folks when I call. So far, all I know is that it’s “not working” sometimes, and this morning it seems to be appearing and disappearing on the page. Sometimes I only get the WH navigation bar at the top and the “sign in” blue bar at the bottom – nothing between. Other times it’s all there and looks normal.

So, anything you folks can tell me about how it’s working for you will be greatly appreciated! 🙂

            And thanks again, B & B!!! 🙂

          • Erin

The petition seems to be working since we got another signature yesterday, so since no one here is mentioning any further problems, I’m going to put off calling the WH and just keep spreading it around.

If anyone has any more trouble, though, please send me an e-mail at justsayno2nuclear -“at”- yahoo -“dot”- com , and tell me specifically what happens when you try.

            Thanks very much!

          • BreadAndButter BreadAndButter

Hi Erin, thank you for your efforts. One has the impression the WH is doing this on purpose just to frustrate people and keep them from signing. Only 18 days left!! Can’t we get it to the OWS folks? We’d have 30.000 signatures in a minute!
            Whoopie – please tweeeeet!

          • Erin

Who are the OWS folks? (getting ready to feel stupid when it turns out to be obvious! But 30,000 a minute sounds too good to pass up, so I gotta ask! LOL)

I’ve posted it at reddit without any success; got it into a comment on an NPR health article; posted it at; and sent it to every national anti-nuke organization that seems to still be in existence at the link to the list of anti-nuke groups on Wiki that Mack posted in another thread. Also sent it to some drug policy folks, friends, family, etc.

Today I’m working on getting to the links Whoopie and chemfood suggested, and maybe indymedia. Craigslist doesn’t seem to have a national section for petitions, and it hardly seems worth placing it in a local one.

            But all ideas/suggestions welcome!!! 😉

            Thanks B & B! 🙂

          • BreadAndButter BreadAndButter

How do we reach them? Is anyone “in charge?” Or is it many many groups working together?

          • BreadAndButter BreadAndButter

How to reach them? I don’t know, I thought it might be a good idea if Whoopie (or anybody else who knows how to use Twitter) could tweet it over to #occupywallstreet – there are many news on their action stream.
If there ARE 5.000 + signatures on Oct 31, we’ll share a bottle all across the ocean, won’t we 🙂

          • BreadAndButter BreadAndButter

Good ideas — if no one here knows, then I’ll look into it further later today or tomorrow. TY!

And whoopie — you did send me a couple of e-mails yesterday, right? Just want to be sure, as yahoo is telling me there’s “suspicious activity” in my acct., and it wouldn’t let me reply to you. I’ll try a test mail later, as long as it was really you.

there is no excuse at this point for allowing your own children to be exposed, unless your are just a generally stupid person

      • By the news posted here I highly doubt parents are being ‘warned’. If the Japanese are anything like Americans they believe a mojority of what their .gov tells them. Lies aside, working and small children rarely go together. What to do with them little buggers while you slave to house and feed them? Not quite as easy as not smoking in a car. Plus, these people LIVE there. Unless independently wealthy their choices are few. Blaming the victims already percieved as ‘monsters’ does little to solve these radically frustrating problems. Civilians will not experience exposure at a dose which would measurably increase their chances of getting cancer or limit their life-expectancy. At the same time, they will not believe any official reassurances that “everything is okay.” It would be the duty of the scientific community to explain that people are not in danger of cancer or early death.”

[MAXIMUM ALERT] Persistent Long Half Life Radiation Detected In Saint Louis

    • Thank you for posting Whooopie

I asked a friend who has experience with radiation testing to view Potrblog’s last video, which discussed in detail their methodology for testing radiation and identifying the isotopes.

My friend said that Potrblog’s methodology–including their adjustments and extrapolations–was methodologically sound.

Methodological reliability being sound, I think we should consider seriously Potrblog’s warning.

In the last video (will watch this one now), Potrblog suggested that a planned detonation of the plant could be, relatively, “risk mitigating” if their data analysis is correct.

There is no evidence Potrblog has backed away from their conclusions.

      • Whoopie Whoopie

Yes! I like they way he explains everything so ANYBODY with any brains can understand what he’s saying. Also the READINGS (machine?) he uses can REALLy be more reliable than the electronic devices, dont you think?

      • dharmasyd dharmasyd

Thanks for adding your personal experience of validation, Majia. It helps.

      • “I think we should consider seriously Potrblog’s warning.” – majia

Absolutely should be considered, but it’s one of those ‘it goes so deep’, kind of things, it’s truly hard to grasp the harsh reality of it.

When Potrblog was asked by someone ‘why’ the government wasn’t knocking on his door over this data , his response/comment was, “…I wager they don’t need them because they already know what is going on”.

OMG. Another New Tweet Bill Gates saying Nuclear is clean, we should bring it to poor countries.
What the hell is going on here!?!??!

    • Mack Mack

When they say “clean,” they mean it’s not giving off CO2 emissions.

But they’re ignoring what nuclear reactors do give off and produce: over 200 radionuclides and dangerous nuclear waste. Plus over 200 chemicals are used during the nuclear process. All of that has to go somewhere…and that somewhere is into our environment.

Why do they discount and/or ignore these real dangers?

  • Clocka

During WWII children were sent from Tokyo, Osaka , etc to the mountains to avoid American bombs. Unfortunately many of the ‘mountains’ included the areas affected in this nuke disaster.

I predict the mountains of Kyushu, which are rather volcanic, would be popular choices for the children of NorthEast to evacuate, since even the Hokkaidoans are abandoning Japan’s northernmost major island.

    • Sickputer

      Clocka writes:

” predict the mountains of Kyushu, which are rather volcanic, would be popular choices for the children of NorthEast to evacuate, since even the Hokkaidoans are abandoning Japan’s northernmost major island.”

SP: Do you have some information about any small or large scale movements from Hokkaido?

@ mack Regarding your comment ” when they mean clean” I agree the problem of nuclear waste seems some thing the powers that be are ignoring. It is my main concern about nuke energy. Where do we put all of this waste that is laying around? Even if all nuke plants in the U.S. were shut down tomorrow there would still be that problem looming over us. The fact that it can be used by terrorists against us is also disquieting. What do you think the solution is? Where would you start? I am asking myself these questions also & I can’t figure it out. Regards IK

They are probably looking into space — dump the nuclear waste on a moon or on a planet.

Or, just keep contaminating the Earth with nuclear waste until the remaining earth population will have to find another planet.

my point was that it is no secret that smoking near children eill harm them, just as it is no secret that keeping them in a contaminated area will harm them. if t were my kids, forget the job, forget the food, forget the what ever daily bullshit we are used to, priority number one is get the hell out of there!
